What a cute little brunch spot in the heart of Durham! The concept is one where you order at the counter and then the servers bring out your items. This worked well until we were asked to wait several minutes for drinks because they were busy with food orders. The food itself was very good. We were all pleased with our meals and especially with the smoked wings. They have a house made ranch that is also top notch. I tried the cinnamon roll and wasn't impressed. The flavor was almost like it had a citrus hint to it. It says there are nuts in it on the menu but when I asked the server she shared there are in fact no nuts in the roll. Parking here can be a challenge due to the tiny lot but there is street parking available as well. I will definitely be returning here when in the area. read more

Stopped here for lunch while a group of us were in the area. Its def a quick, stop and get a bite type of spot. Its not a place I would really recommend for anything fancy. You place your order at the front counter and can choose to sit either inside or outside while waiting for your food. We started with a coffee and a smoothie--both were absolutely delicious! For breakfast, we had the breakfast platter, which came with perfectly cooked over-medium eggs, sweet maple bacon, and flavorful breakfast potatoes. We went here on a sunny Sunday morning and WHAT A TREAT! We waited in line for 10-15 minutes to order before we self-sat upstairs on the half covered/half open patio. It took a long while (20-30 minutes) to get our food out but the aesthetic and nice weather made it easy to kill time. This is probably the best spot for your money and people know it. Expect to wait in a line that's out the door when you come. The inside of the establishment is small. They do have a lot of seating outside and an upstairs which are both enclosed and heated. Bring your appetite and your patience. Parking is a bit of a hassle. Once I got to the one register to order, I was greeted by a very jolly and funny lady. I ordered a latte, the rocket and the buttermilk flapjacks. Then you go and seat and wait for the food to come. The portions were big and the food was good. I was a bit bummed my eggs were not cooked as well done as I wanted them, but it didn't stop me from eating them. The experience started off amazing. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, kind, attentive, and very helpful with any questions I had about the menu. The food was great, and I truly felt welcomed by the team. However, everything changed the moment CAROL walked in. Her behavior was shocking and completely unprofessional. She was openly rude to her staff and repeatedly yelled in the main dining area for someone to be up front. Rather than handling the situation privately, she chose to humiliate her team in front of all the customers, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. The staff deserves so much better, and customers shouldn't have to witness that kind of behavior. It definitely impacted the overall experience. I just moved here and have trying burger places around the area. I've been here a couple times, the first time the food was great and my boyfriend and I gave the place a 10/10. We went today around 45 minutes before they closed for the night and we ordered two treymendous burgers med rare. The manager was so sweet! She took our order and told us it would be a couple of minutes. Since it was around the time they were closing we took it to go. But, I think what susurprised me the most was the poor service, after my food taking a long time, I asked one of the staff if they could check on my food. Once you get your chance, you are greeted with that Durham charm sprinkled with a bit of sarcasm and wit... Love it! We sat and the food was brought to us quickly. I had the Mama's Big Bird with Greek Couscous. Two pounded out chicken filets, breaded and fried. House made pickles and bacon. Just lovely. Couscous was good as well, next time will opt for the slaw. My wife had the Gobble Down with potatoes. Exactly what she was looking for, delicious!
