Midday Saturday, easily found a table. Order/pay at the counter and food brought to your table. If you want the taste of home, look no further. Properly seasoned (not overly salty). Fried chicken and chicken fried steak at our table. Nothing felt heavy. Fried okra lightly battered. Excellent crisp iced tea-fresh. Maurice was our server - so nice. We purchased Tonya's pecan cookies at adjacent shop!

Delicious fried chicken, wonderful collard greens, and heavenly potato salad! So delicious!!

Oh my goodness. Such great meals. Prices are decent, service is fine. Can't wait to go back and get the fried catfish.

Best Fried Chicken in Chapel Hill. Moist and tender with just the right amount of seasoning. Plus two sides!

I ordered mine on pressed focaccia bread and everything from the juicy crispy chicken to the parmesan cheese and toppings was top notch. Each of the flavors and textures played so well together that it's hard to stop eating after taking the first bite. Came on a Monday around 1pm and there was no line. Inside the shop was a classic deli where you order at the counter and then browse the various goods/merch while you wait. Service was fast and the sandwiches came out within 5 minutes of ordering. There are a couple picnic tables outside to sit and eat but other than that, mostly a to-go place. First timers: get the Uncle Primo's, you won't regret it!

I got half an uncle primos chicken cutlet sandwich ($11). It was a lot of food and was loaded with chicken! Even just the half sandwich was too much for me to eat at once. While it was tasty, I did feel like it was missing something, and personally didn't find it to be worth the wait. But if the line were shorter in the future I'd come back and try other yummies from the menu.

Absolutely fantastic in my opinion. It was a bit overwhelming at first trying to decide on what to eat. We decided for the classic Gyro and had some avocado/guacamole type side....I forget the name. They were fantastic. Very hard to eat only because they load the pita bread with a ton of food. We got forks and knives and just cut it up. The place was clean and the folks bringing food out were moving. Bathrooms were even clean. What I didn't take a pic of was the baklava I decided to get. Pistachio Baklava....do yourself a favor and just get it. You'll thank me later. I wish we had this place in Kansas....a highlight dinning experience in Chapel Hill for us to be honest.

Created with bustling energy and big smiles, the staff behind the counter keeps everything moving as quickly as they can while you take in the expansive menu and the plethora of mouthwatering sides. While my choice of a lamb and beef gyro is a bit basic, I was so pleased with every lovely bite. The condiment counter gave me olives and tzatziki to munch on as well. With a vibe of comfort and college town, Mediterranean deli easily hits the standard for lunch or dinner or anything in between.
