Angie's is as busy as always. I rolled in at 10:30 and there was still a line. Sadly, I can't say I enjoyed the food as much and, for me, the at home feeling is gone. Angie's is the only place around if you're craving chitterlings, which I was today. Today's were a little different, chopped but tasty. The 2 eggs and sausage gravy biscuit rounded things out. The eggs were fluffy and light. The gravy, tho. Overly peppery and no actual sausage as far as I could tell. The chitterlings were ok. I will say I had a case of bubble tummy by 4 and I hadn't eaten anything else. If you like a lively dining experience you're gonna love it. Just don't let them seat you at the door. Angie's Restaurant is located in Garner, NC. I was close enough to make a trip here for lunch. I came at the lunch rush and that parking lot was full. When I walked in the door, they have a waiting area with benches. Make sure to get your name added to the list and get a pager first though. The diner attracts many regulars, and knows them by name, and the regulars know each other, too. I liked the community vibe. It didn't take long for a table to become available, and I was seated and my drink order taken. I went with the Tuesday special of beef tips and rice, and selected deviled eggs and baked apples for my sides. I got some Hush Puppies too. I was intrigued by the chicken pastry special and ordered that to go with sides of mashed potatoes and zucchini. The chicken pastry is similar to chicken and dumplings. It was well packaged so nothing spilled on my drive home. I was amazed that the items were still hot when I got home. I wish I lived closer to dine here more often, but it is a treat to dine here for the delicious Southern food and great service. read more

The friendliest staff ever, great food, country cooking. The Friday lunch special was Salisbury steak. I added onions and mushrooms to the gravy and it was perfect. Had this place show up in my Facebook feed yesterday and had to try it out. This place is a little out of the way but well worth the drive. The parking lot was crowded and once we got inside it was very crowded but were seated immediately. There were several different rooms with tables and the wait staff was quite busy. I decided to get the meat lovers omelette with home fries and biscuit. The omelette was huge. The home fries were done perfectly and the biscuit was enormous. read more

We have been to eat Angie's multiple times since moving to Garner. This place is always busy but that is due to the amazing service and food that they offer. I love that the staff work together even though they're assigned a certain table. My husband drinks coffee and safe to say that his coffee mug was never empty the entire time we were there so he was kind of jittery because he just kept drinking it. The owner is amazing! She is super sweet and very dedicated to her work. We met her both times that we were there. I highly recommend coming to this establishment if you have the time for it! 10 out of 10. This place was great! We did go on a Saturday morning so it was packed and had to wait for a while, but the owner came out to check on everyone as we were waiting which was appreciated. The men of my church have been going to Angie's for over 10 years every Wednesday at 7 am. We usually have 5 to 8 in attendance. We know Angie and all the wait staff and are treated like family. I have been to several breakfast places in the Raleigh area and there is none better. The foof is the best service is even better and the friendliness is always there, The best thing is you can order customer changes with no problem. This is the quintessential "hole in the wall" diner. It's always packed, for good reason. The food is awesome. Healthy? Don't ask questions like that. Just eat and be happy. Incredible staff and Angie is the sweetest person ever. The positive attitude of the staff and owner carries over to the diners. My husband hobbled in on crutches and I swear just about everyone stopped us to ask what happened and wish him well. We've never experienced that level of care by strangers before!
