Eggs Benedict and home fries
Rebecca M.

Brunches in Cary is located in the Crossroads Shopping Center. The shopping center has plenty of parking, but the spots closest to the restaurant might not be available. I did find a spot close by so maybe someone just pulled out. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so there may be a wait for a table. The restaurant does not take reservations, so it is first-come, first-served. We were a party of 8, and I was told the wait for our table had been 45 minutes. A smaller-sized table might have less of a wait. There is also seating at the bar and tables on the patio outside. The decor is simple and welcoming. The restaurant could use some sound dampening, as it was loud inside. It was hard to hear the waiter and those at the same table. The menu is good-sized with a variety of breakfast and lunch options. One side of the menu is devoted to beverages. You can order chicken and waffles to avocado toast to eggs benedict to omelets to burgers. I ordered the eggs benedict as that is what I tend to order for brunch. It came with grits or home fries. I went with the home fries. Ketchup and the syrup were already on the tables. I did like the eggs benedict as the eggs were runny and the hollandaise sauce was good. I would have liked the home fries to be cooked longer. I prefer a more relaxing setting to eat, so I don't see myself returning to the loud environment.

I arrived around 8:20am on a Saturday morning. It wasn't busy at all and we were seated promptly. Bridget was our waitress. We each ordered the speciality mimosa flight at 8:28am and revived it around 8:35pm. This was very unique and I enjoyed it! It's always great to see someone outside of the usual flavored mimosas. I ordered all American breakfast with blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, and home fries. My date got the chicken and waffles with grits. Food came out surprisingly quick, about 10 mins after ordering. The pancakes were large and tasty and bacon was crispy! My date said that "Chicken is really good." The longer we sat, I noticed it started to get busy but the attentiveness of waitress remained constantly. We were in an out in an hour. I definitely plan to return. No complaints.

Brunches has yet again provided a wonderful experience for a casual brunch. Connie took care of our party with attentiveness and kindness, and was more than happy to answer our seemingly endless questions. I'd keep her as my bartender forever if I could!

This place is the best. We went for an early Sunday morning and got a seat right away. It filled up fairly quickly. We had outstanding service! The coffee was solid, the food was really good. I ordered the Powerhouse bowl and it was so good. Love the combo of the sweet potatoes, turkey sausage, eggs and spinach. The chipotle aioli set it over the edge. Perfection! A legit brunch place!

This is SUCH a yummy spot! We came on a Saturday morning, it was very busy so be sure to get there early. The atmosphere is nice and so are the servers. I shared a mimosa flight which was super tasty, the flavors are great, I highly recommend. The cold brew is just okay- they don't have lattes or flavored syrup (PSA for all the coffee lovers). Our food was DELICIOUS! The chicken tacos and fries are absolutely amazing, they are flavorful and very filling. My breakfast tacos were also great, it lacked some seasoning but overall I enjoyed it. The grits are delicious as well. Overall, a wonderful spot, we will certainly be back!

I finally made it to the infamous Brunches. Each time I've tried, the wait times are so long, but this time, I sat at the bar because it's first come first serve. I started with the All American Breakfast and got the blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries. The pancakes were soooo fluffy, bacon was perfectly crispy just how I like it, and they were generous with the portion of potatoes. The loaded mimosa flight has vodka so be prepared to have a nice feeling. The bartenders were super cool and friendly. This day they were dressed up like their boss which was pretty funny, but it added to the overall vibe. It seems like it may always be a pretty chill place to eat. I went back to visit a second time the following weekend lol (I know) and sat at the bar again and had to try the chicken and waffles with the loaded grits. I couldn't believe my taste buds when that chicken hit my mouth. It was amazing. Perfectly seasoned OMG. The loaded potatoes had cheeses, jalapeños, and bacon and let me tell you, I don't know what I've been thinking and can't believe I didn't try this concoction together sooner. Bottom line, like the terminator, I'll be back!

4.25 Such a cute vibe inside. Seated quickly, friendly hostess, friendly server. Breakfast and lunch options, tons of drink options and mimosa flavors. I started with a peach mimosa and with half a bottle of champagne, that was enough with my meal. Good flavor- light peach, mostly champagne so not super sweet. For brunch: Hubs had the burger- good taste and size. Side of fries which were really good. Daughters had the shrimp and grits which had a lobster sauce. Good size shrimp and flavor. My other two kids had the classic- with eggs, bacon, and pancakes (one with chocolate chip). Came with a side- my son chose fries and my daughter chose grits. Large size and super good. I had the fried green tomato blt with bacon mayo with a side of loaded grits (cheese, bacon, fried jalapeños). Loved the grits and the sandwich was good too. They have a ton of healthier options too- we ate heavier since we were headed to a concert later and knew it would be our one meal. Easy parking.

Such a cool vibe for brunch. The energy is fun without being chaotic. Mimosa towers and mimosa flights are a win (plenty of options). The food delivered: the grits were amazing, and the shrimp & grits were a hit. Breakfast tacos were flavorful, pancakes were fluffy and hit the spot. Huge plus for the smiling, friendly servers who made the experience even better. Bonus: wait time was under 15 minutes.

Stopped here as it was close to shopping. It wasn't extremely busy and I was a little nervous. Service was fantastic with a very attentive young waitress. I was very excited to order shrimp and grits. Bf had a hot honey chicken biscuit order which included two sandwiches. The shrimp and grits was delicious, it had crab gravy on it which was so delicious but I could have used a little less gravy. I'm not a sauce girl in general so it was too much for me. Ambiance was nice as restaurant was nicely decorated as well.

I didn't know what to expect, but this beachy-vibe food. Grits that tasted smooth, creamy and made me happy to be back in the south. Who talks about the sides in a meal first except someone who now recalls what she's been missing. Now, on to the by-the-sea omelet .... I am a believer that bacon could go with everything. Although bacon seems like an odd addition to a seafood omelet it actually worked -- giving enough salty contrast to the tamer flavors of the shrimp and crab and Swiss cheese. I think they could have gone a little lighter with it because it can be overpowering but not so much that I didn't eat it. And the coffee? After the gawd-knows-what at the hotel, I fell in-like with coffee again. The service was outstanding and I agree with Jean K -- too bad they aren't open for dinner. I guess that's the downside to a place that gives its hours of operation in the title.

Gluten Free Biscuits and Gravy
Belinda H.

I had the gluten free biscuits and gravy with gluten free turkey gravy. They use JP's biscuits! I was really surprised at the quality and willingness to ensure everything was made right. My only complaint was the restaurant was small and very crowded. It made it hard to enjoy conversation.

Walked in and the girl behind the counter didn't help us and we waited for the Hostess/waitress to arrive to be greeted. We were sat quickly after and given waters upon arrival. The food was a mix of good and meh. For the prices you are getting a good amount of food, but the flavor is a bit of a miss with a few dishes. The Hibachi Bowl was good, Avocado Toast was ok, the chicken nuggets and Mac-n-cheese were a miss. The nuggets tasted frozen and the Mac-n-cheese was bland. Good amount of cheese though. Our waitress/Hostess was as sweet as can be, attentive and patient. She was helpful with any questions we had and made sure our drinks stayed filled. The biggest negative would be about cleanliness. There is food and who knows what else on the walls, the tables were a bit sticky, and there were tables propped up with napkins that I'm positive have been there for a hot minute. If this is how they allow customers to view their establishment I'd hate to see what is behind the closed doors.

First timers here, and the hubs and I cozied up to the bar to enjoy a quick brunch before takeoff. The avocado toast was great and his hibachi bowl (random for a brunch spot) was tasty also. We ordered the $7 special mimosas and the pours were plentiful. The ambiance was cool and Brunches has nice streaming music for Sunday Funday! Parking may have been rough, but we lucked up as someone was pulling out as we pulled in. Service was attentive, fast, and friendly. I look forward to returning to try more menu items as I enjoy shopping in this plaza. Cheers!

The hotel property is charming and thoughtfully designed, with a mix of tables, sofas, and comfortable chairs that create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. We arrived 3/4 past noon and chose to sit in the study/library area rather than the main dining room. I would strongly recommend this option. The study is quiet and comfortable, while the main restaurant area was noticeably louder. The proximity allows you to enjoy the ambiance without the noise. The menu offerings felt fairly typical for this style of restaurant. We tried the skillet cornbread. It was served room temperature and on the dry side. However, the whipped butter that accompanied it was excellent. Unfortunately, the cornbread was not warm enough to melt it, which would have improved the experience. The Italian wedding soup was very good and served properly hot. We also ordered the local lettuces salad with chicken. The salad itself was fresh, but the chicken was visibly dry and tasted the same. Interestingly, placing the chicken into the soup made it more enjoyable. The double cheeseburger was average. The bun struggled to hold together under the two patties and cheese. The flavor was acceptable but not memorable. Our server was exceptional. Attentive, professional, and gracious throughout the meal. The service elevated the the mediocre experience. Overall, Peck & Plume offers a beautiful setting and excellent service. For a quieter meal, request the study/library seating. While the food was satisfactory, it did not quite match the charm of the surroundings. Would we go again? Maybe. If we did, we would order different items. But, we would request Brian as the server.
