There was no one at the front to seat me and it took a long time for someone to finally come to the front. After being seated I was told someone would be over shortly. There was another long wait. I finally was able to give my order. The food came out in a reasonable time, but I still did not have my drink!! I definitely felt unwelcome here. I feel like they were trying to make me leave so they would be able to close quicker. I had a coupon for a free entree but when I got the check, there was 20% taken off, not hbd whole entree. We both went for the Breakfast BLT, which hit the spot after a week of nonstop vacation indulgence. Just a heads-up: there's also an "Egg Up BLT" on the lunch menu, which sounds like it should have an egg but doesn't. (It's actually the lunch version and is named after the restaurant. The omelette was nicely thin with excellent filling (sausage and two cheeses), the classic eggs Benedict had nicely poached eggs and the Hollandaise sauce was good. The eggs also had a nice subtle spice in the Hollandaise which added a nice layer of flavor. My only concern was that the English muffin wasn't actually toasted, which sort of leaves you feeling like you're eating under-baked, doughy bread. Just showing the muffin the heating element in the toaster and then slapping an egg and sauce sort of ruins the experience. We came in on a Friday for a late breakfast and first impression was clean and organized and I really liked the atmosphere. Cool music playing! It started to get really busy and I noticed a gentleman walk in and immediately go to the window where food was coming out. I immediately understood that he was the manager and I can't say enough about what he did. He cleared out the window, walked around and talked to tables, cleaned tables and his communication with his team was inspiring. I waited tables in college and would have killed for a manager like that. He understood the assignment. And speaking of, it does get pretty loud since there are nothing to muffle it, and walls and floors that actually enhance the sound. Other than that the look is very clean and efficient. Service from the server is excellent with constant check ins and refills. Service from the kitchen was a bit on the slow side even for the amount of folks waiting for orders. The Texican (I thinks that's the name) bowl was really good and spicy! The Classic was great (eggs were tiny but who can blame them with egg prices these days!). Overall very good food! Our Sunday morning team likes to have breakfast together between our rehearsal time and when our church service starts. We are/were weekly Sunday morning regulars at an area breakfast staple and our party can consist of 8-12 people on any given Sunday. We generally arrive at a restaurant around 8:15 give or take. We are usually out by 9:30 depending on service at the restaurant. We wanted a change and thought Eggs Up Grill might be that change and become our new regular haunt. This was our 4th or 5th consecutive week coming here, and we were greeted with "I have to talk to you all about something when you all get in here, but First let me welcome you." Ummm... Okay? Attitude a little? From there, the visit went south. The person seating us went on to give a stern lecture to our party of 10 about calling ahead and reserving "the" room so they can staff properly and so on. He continued with not allowing separate checks in the future. We were all looking at each other a little stunned by this "welcome." It's not like we are a rowdy trouble causing bunch and I know for a fact we each tip pretty darn well, but this... This "welcome" was anything but. Our server was pleasant enough, the food was okay, it usually is - nothing to write home about but generally good. This particular visit, there were only two choices for jelly - strawberry and grape. In previous weeks, there were at least 4 choices. There was no butter for out toast on the table and none was provided. By the time our server got back to us with refills on coffee and water, I had already put strawberry jam on my toast and eaten half of it. I guess I didn't need the extra calories anyway. Our server was kind enough to allow us separate checks so we didn't have to have one person put it all on their credit card and then figure out how we were going to split up the bill from there. I may be somewhat if a math person, a little less challenged than some, but most in our group do not math. The grass is not always greener on the other side. I had to thank the chef personally b/c the food was so good. We were the last party in the restaurant so we talked with a few employees. I loved the vibe. The environment was so pleasant, like they enjoy their job & being apart of a wonderful establishment. Everything was reasonably priced. Average entree was between $11-16. Ashley was amazing. Our new breakfast spot. The food is good, prices are fair, and the variety of flavors is crazy. Some of the meals are traditional and some have a twist which makes this the best place for me. I like original recipes but sometimes I want a remix too. Service is always good and the atmosphere is open and friendly. You can tell the owner takes pride in how his operation is ran and how each plate is cooked and presented. My wife had the omelette she built from her preferred ingredients, I had the shrimp and grits with a side of biscuits and gravy, my son had the crème brûlée French toast, and my daughter had the waffle breakfast. My mom and I went to eggs up Grill for brunch on Saturday, November 1, 2025. We had an approximate 15 minute wait when we got to our booth along the windows. The sun was shining in my eyes and I asked the hostess if we could pull the blind to which she responded, our manager doesn't like the blinds down. I asked if she could check and she said yes, and we never saw her again. It took approximately 10 minutes to get our drinks and approximately 40 minutes to get our food. Our server explained our order, never made it to the kitchen and had disappeared. The manager nEver apologized for the food being late we were not offered a discount on our bill.
