Just learned about this place (which had been here for 8 years) so wanted to try it out. What a hidden gem! Ordered breakfast and was not disappointed at all. The pancakes were light, the bacon crisp, and the eggs just right. Service was great! The hostess was very welcoming as was our server "Marta". We had already ordered our breakfast and Marta overhead me say that my partner loves minestrone soup. Wouldn't you know she came over with a small bowl of the soup for my partner to try. She loved it! Their soups are all homemade with a different one available daily. We can't wait to go back for a lunch meal. Decided to try this place as we had never been before. It was quite crowded but were seated immediately. This restaurant is very much a "local diner" feel which is cute. They have those traditional dinners coffee cups and coffee, and standard breakfast and lunch fare. My English muffin breakfast sandwich was good as was my spouses omelette. There are Greek inspired items on the menu as well. The fries weren't our favorite, but they were okay. we have eaten here before and it was not bad. today we had lunch and it was awful. very small portions and cooked in oil rather than butter. everything was burnt and tasteless. the bacon was non existent considering I was assured it was going to be at least four pieces. I've been here several times over the past two years and had a variety of different things. The menu is broad and leaves you trying to decide. I felt i got a good value with the items I've ordered. First impressions and Covid: Masks are required to be worn at all times (both guests and staff) unless seated at your table. Tables are closed off to allow for safe distancing. They have laminated menus that are sanitized after each use. They offer both inside and outside seating. We happened upon Creedmoor Cafe on Yelp after our original pick (Briggs Restaurant) had a 30-40 minute wait. We went across the street to Creedmoor Cafe and we were seated right away. Food: I ordered the Eggs Benedict with grits and my husband ordered the 2 eggs any style with sausage and grits and added a side of corned beef hash. Eggs Benedict: Standard eggs Benedict. The holandaise sauce is not overpowering, however the egg and Canadian bacon to English muffin ratio is a little lacking. Far too much English muffin for how small the Canadian bacon and poached eggs are. Eggs with Sausage: Eggs are your pretty standard scrambled eggs. My husband ordered them a medium scramble and they came out as requested. The sausage is really good and some of the best sausage links ordered in a restaurant. Grits: The grits are soooo good. Perfect balance between grit texture and creaminess. Grits can be so hit and miss but these are on point. Corned Beef Hash: The first bite was really salty but the more my husband ate them he really enjoyed them. Final thoughts: Would we return here the next time we are visiting? It might not be our first choice for a return visit but would come back. Maybe check them out for lunch or try other breakfast items. read more

Stopped by this place one day while out and about. We decided to sit outside. Ordered a few things and when we received our order it was incorrect. The waitress accidentally brought the wrong plate, which was NBD. The Western Omelette was good, but needed some flavor. It was very plain tasting. The home fries were quite delicious. The kids had the pancakes..seemed the kids pancakes were larger than the regular order off the menu. Overall not bad, just nothing spectacular to come back for. read more

Nice home town location in a very busy shopping strip center. Good size menu with a variety of items to choose from. Visited during lunch hour in middle of week and had no problem being seated. My wife ordered a roast beef sandwich that came with a side and a large amount of meat. Her side was coleslaw which was nice and creamy. I ordered a monte cristo which came stacked with meat and cheese. The bread used is like texas toast thickness and I feel is way too much bread. Also this sandwich traditionally comes egg-wash and deep fried which this sandwich does not. I was disappointed with one thing. I asked for the sandwich alone with no sides. I stopped in here this week as a result of reading several recent reviews on Nextdoor. I have lived here for years and did not even know this place existed until reading the reviews. Unfortunately, the food and service were mediocre and I will not return. I was greeted and seated promptly. The entire restaurant had kind of a strange, stale odor. I am not really sensitive to odors, so it didn't really bother me, it was just strange. I ordered the BLT, which came with fries or onion rings, and a cup of soup. I asked if I could have something other than the fries or onion rings, and they said I could have a small dish of fruit. Sounded great. They returned in a few minutes, saying they didn't have any fruit. so instead, I ordered the Greek salad with chicken. About 10 minutes later they delivered the Greek salad without chicken. Oh well. I didn't want to wait for them to redo it, so I just ate it as is. Very bland, they strangely added an egg and carrots to it, which is not traditional Greek salad fare. The dressing had no taste or zing to it at all, was really more like 1000 island than Greek dressing. The best part of the salad were the two dolmas,l which, ironically, probably came out of a can. I then had an almost 20 minute wait until I got my check, which I only got after I asked another waiter. But that's OK, I wasn't in a hurry anyway. I believe the salad was 12.99, which is a lot of money for a salad with no meat. But at any price, it would not have been worth it as it was bland, and tasteless. Some of the other things on the menu were probably better, but I don't intend to go back to check them. Overall a two star experience. read more

Creedmoor Cafe is an okay place. It does what it does well enough. Late morning, breakfast craving, nearby, Yelp search and bingo -- Creedmoor Cafe. It was busy, but had enough open seating including tables outside, to allow for immediate seating. I can't say I fully understand the distinction between a diner and a cafe, the differences are muddled and depend on the person asked. Here, it's called a cafe (the kitchen is not openly visible to most of the tables), but the menu says diner. It doesn't matter, because it gets the job done: basic food, comfort food, and a "welcome home" vibe. So the menu had the usual offerings and I opted for an omelette where you could pick the fillings. Despite getting asking for broccoli in my omelette and getting bacon (not a complaint by any means since I didn't send the food back) I still enjoyed every bite. So it wasn't that healthy a choice, but who eats at a diner/cafe solely for health reasons? Creedmoor has a nice atmosphere, a friendly waitress, a reasonable number of breakfast choices, and a kitchen staff that didn't scrimp on the fillings. Is this gourmet food? Not by any means, but it is good food, reasonably priced and when you don't need unpronounceable things, deconstructed whatever, or to think too hard, this is the place. read more

My dad and I walked in to be seated behind another couple. The couple was immediately seated and we were asked if we were next and we responded "yes". All of a sudden we're told there's a 35 minute wait but yet there's open tables. We're told that there are 3 parties on a list that need to be called. Why didn't these parties need to be called before the couple that walked in just before us? Could it be because we did not look like any of the other patrons in the restaurant or the couple before us? I've eaten at this restaurant once before and the food is not that good at all. I would rather wait 1.5 hours at Brigs for good food and a welcoming atmosphere than to wait for food that's mediocre at best in an unwelcoming environment. This was a great brunch place for my family. We got the Belgian waffle with bacon, eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce, and a kids' chocolate chip pancake. Service was quick, we weren't waiting more than five minutes after we ordered when our food was delivered hot and ready. Service was exceptional, the server learned our niece's name and called her by name and was very friendly. She made sure we were taken care of and was one of our favorite waitresses we have had at places. There wasn't a huge portion size for the price, other than that it was great. read more

I love this cafe! Excellent service, casual atmosphere, and great food. My son and I went here for brunch on a Thursday morning. I ordered a Belgium waffle topped with blueberries with a side of sausages. The waffle was delicious - fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. The sausages were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. My son ordered a cheeseburger combo, cooked medium, and he chose onion rings as the side. He said that the burger was really good. He chose onion rings as his side and they were perfectly fried. I will definitely come here again! I love that it's a family run business. I decided to pick up lunch from this cafe today. It was raining and I wanted soup. I ordered the roast turkey club sandwich and it included fries or onion rings ( I opted for onion rings) and cup of minestrone soup. The inside is nice and quant, with plenty of seating, so I'll definitely be back for breakfast or brunch on the weekend. The club sandwich was huge, with fresh iceberg lettuce and tomatoes, crispy bacon and mayo on toast. The onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. They were real thick onion slices (not minced) coated in crunchy breading (possibly panko) .... delicious!! The minestrone soup was homemade, but lacked flavor. I didn't give it 5 stars only because I didn't dine in and wasn't able to grade on customer service. But I'll definitely be coming back. read more

A Local Secret - definitely a Mom n' Pop shop but has the best breakfast in Raleigh. The staff is always helpful and breakfast always comes out hot. Make sure to always finish your plate or you may get some light ribbing from the lovely owner! It's a small shop, so seats can fill up easily, probably not suited for very large groups, but I'm sure they staff would try their best. read more
