Clean, Quick & Flavorful! We walked in, placed our order at the counter, grabbed our number & placed it on the table. Food was delicious. I enjoyed the freshness of the chicken. I'll be back for sure.

We came by with three of us in a party. We did street meter parking on the opposite side of the restaurant. The line was out the door with a 25 minute wait. The nice things is once you're inside nobody rushed you off your table. The food came out hot and delicious. Everyone we interacted was very friendly. I'd return.

Second review!! That FIre in your Belly biscuit didn't miss! Man. That thing didn't make it home and probably never will. Picture- a juicy nice sized perfectly seasoned and fried chicken breast, chipotle aioli, cheese and slightly sweet pickles on a perfect biscuit. I devoured it! Okay okay enough about that chicken. I also had the pancakes and bacon and mom had eggs, potatoes (a little too salty) and sausages. All the food was good. Next time I have to try the green fries tomatoes and grits because I'll definitely be back. Service- EXCELLENT! They greet you when you enter. The cashier was sooooo patient with my questions. The. The cook came out to apologize for not making my order to go. All good. The place is clean and bright. Can't wait to go back!

Good. We may be a bit spoiled by Viscous Biscuit, as the biscuits were smaller here and the meals less flavorful. Missed having a butter bar too. That said, the Benny was good, though the brisket a bit dry. The Mamas Boy was, well, big, fried and (unfortunately) kind of one note. The Bonuts were the sweet star of the show. Wouldn't rush back, wouldn't be mad to be back.

Seaboard area has gone through some changes recently, including the addition of Biscuit Belly. I am not a super fan of biscuits but I like them well enough. That said, Belly Biscuit serves up an above average one. I got the Basic Biscuit with bacon, for $11.25. I also got a latte which I enjoyed very much. It's order then sit down and my food arrived fairly quickly on a busy Saturday morning. The area is kinda fun, good amount of parking. I want to try the surrounding restaurants as well. Overall a nice spot to enjoy breakfast or brunch!

This was a cool spot to drop in and grab a bite to eat for breakfast or brunch and some breakfast cocktails too. It's a "grab a menu, order and find a seat spot" so pretty laid back which I like. Plenty of menu options. I opted for the G.O.A.T. because I was craving a sweet and savory flavor so the goat cheese with the jelly was a combo I was looking for. I chose a side of the loaded tots that I enjoyed the most And I tried the espresso martini which was decent. So it's an ok spot for the local neighborhood.

The service was great! We were immediately greeted when we walked in. You order at the front and the food is delivered to table. The loaded breakfast tots were DELICIOUS, very juicy and flavorful. The biscuits were also fluffy and the perfect balance of chicken and biscuit. The gravy was tasty too. I wish the food came out warmer, it was room temp. Overall, very delicious and i'll be back!!

Beautiful breakfast/brunch place! We came around 9am and it wasn't overly packed. Though, a huge rush did show up around 10am. The place is visually appealing, plenty of menu options to choose from. We ordered, and our food was brought promptly to our table. Everything was to our liking and we will definitely be back again!

My friends and I came to Raleigh for a wedding and wanted to get a full brunch before we had to head over to the venue. You walk in, find a seat and then go up to order. Didn't get the gentleman's name but he was the sweetest, knew the menu inside and out! Food was TO DIE FOR. Seasoning was spot on and portions were perfect. Wish we had a location in NoVA where we're from

Went to Biscuit Belly for their Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week lunch special and the Buffalo Ranch Biscuit was incredible! The chicken was moist and crispy. The buffalo sauce was not too spicy, the ranch almost had an aioli flavor, the pickles brought in some sweetness and the biscuit was fluffy. My phone died before I could take a picture of the lavender mimosa but it was THE BEST mimosa I've ever had. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating has a nice view towards downtown. They are open for breakfast and lunch only so be sure to check the hours before going. Service was quick and friendly. I would absolutely recommend. If you see this before Restaurant Week is over, check it out!!

Great food and environment. Staff was really kind. We got the Rockwell Supreme (w/o bacon) w/ a side of cheesy grits, Bacon Chicken Ranch Wrap (w/ grilled chicken) w/ a side of home fries, and the Loaded Tots. Rockwell was delicious and filling! Chicken Ranch Wrap was good but a little on the dry side, most likely due to the grilled chicken. Cheesy grits and house fries were standard. Loaded tots were really good and the maple mayo dipping sauce was fantastic!!!

Came here for the first time with my hubby to try breakfast. We ordered an omelette, corn dogs and biscuit gravy trio. The omelette was tasty and potatoes were nice and hot. The biscuits were dry and bland on gravy trio and we only liked the mushroom gravy. Mornay was just ok and sausage gravy was runny and had weird aftertaste, we believe it had maple flavoring added. Thin and lumpy just plan yuck. Weird they have alcoholic drinks, but no beer. Corn dogs were under cooked, raw batter it was inedible. I seen others leaving them on their plates too. I don't believe we will return. See phoros.

Stopped in while in town for a concert. First off, the restaurant has the cutest vibes. We were greeted by the friendliest staff. Parking was easy to find and the restaurant validates for the garages. My friend and I each had a biscuit and shared the gravy train. All I can say is YUM! The mushroom gravy was to die for! I just wish there were more biscuits for the amount of gravy you get. I also tried a latte which was delicious. I will most deffinetley be visiting the next time I am in town.

As an African American woman, soul food is more than just food to me. There's a certain authenticity and flavor I expect when I walk into a soul food restaurant. I ordered several items and after tasting everything, I honestly ended up throwing the entire meal away. I took a bite or spoonful of each item just to give everything a fair chance, and every time I moved on to the next thing, it was another disappointment. The mashed potatoes had a strange aftertaste that I couldn't get past. I don't know if it was the gravy or something else, but something tasted off. The barbecue ribs tasted more boiled than slow cooked and were completely drenched in sauce. The cabbage was overwhelmed with vinegar and lacked seasoning. The mac and cheese tasted more like overcooked noodles with cheese instead of flavorful baked mac and cheese. The cornbread was dry, and even the cake was dry. I will say the restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly, so I have no complaints there. My issue was with the food quality and value for the price. Spending around $80 for a meal like this did not feel worth it at all. Maybe other people love it, but based on my experience, I don't understand the hype. The food just did not taste authentic or well prepared to me. I wish I had stuck with my original plans and just gone to Mikey's Diner in Wilson, North Carolina instead. At least I would have left satisfied. For me, this wasn't worth the drive, wasn't worth the money, and I won't be returning.

The place was crowded but there was no wait. I got seated immediately at a table near a column in the middle of the restaurant and Christy came over and asked if I wanted anything to drink. She brought me iced water and gave me time to look at the menu. I wanted to try so many things and I was too optimistic about ordering 3 things and finishing them myself. Good thing I only ordered 2 things! An order of fried catfish with home fries and one egg. And a biscuit with sausage gravy. The fried catfish was salted and well fried. It tasted delicious for my first bite! The home fries were basically cut potatoes, but they weren't very fried or flavored. I wished I ordered the side of apple sauce instead. The biscuit and sausage was good, but a bit too much for one person after eating a separate order already. Definitely bring more people so you can try more things. Also, I wished I had asked for sausage gravy on the side so I can try the biscuit on its own first as well. Furthermore, I would have more time to eat the catfish so I wasn't worried about the biscuit getting soggy. Christy came to check up on me every now and then. The place was buzzing with people and decorations so I didn't feel so alone. When it was time to pay, Christy brought me the check for me to pay at the cash register. Both Christy and the cashier were so friendly! The restaurant does have a women's and a mens restroom if needed.

I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise. I couldn't finish both biscuits and was even provided a container for the honey. I am going to miss Beasley's, but I'm glad I got a positive experience to remember the restaurant.

Walking in you'll feel like you've walked into a retro-chic, high energy, and upscale diner. Even the waiting area was nice to sit in as we waited for our table. For drinks I ordered the Hurricane (Rum, Pasionfruit, Grenadine, Orange, Lime), Scorpion (Amaro Nonino, Montenegro, Sweet Vermouth, Hot Honey, Mint), the 1806 (Orange Infused Bourbon, Brulee'd Orange Syrup, Bitters), and an espresso martini. I'd say it was a tie for favorite drink between the Hurricane and the 1806. Both were well balanced and tasted great. The scorpion was a bit spicy for my liking and the espresso martini was good just wasn't as good as the hurricane/the 1806. For appetizers we ordered the Maine Lobster Doughnuts, Heirloom Tomato Pie (with Tennessee Buttermilk Cheddar & Sherry-Sherry Vinaigrette), and the Watermelon Vinaigrette (with Avocado, Goat Lady Dairy Chevre, & White Balsamic Vinaigrette). The Maine Lobster Doughnuts and Watermelon Vinaigrette were excellent. The watermelon was sliced, goat cheese wasn't too strong and had the perfect blend of flavors. The Maine Lobster Doughnuts were also perfectly cooked and were so good. The Heirloom Tomato Pie was okay, just had a really strong mustard after taste which wasn't my favorite. For my entree I ordered the 10 oz Hanger Steak (Creamed Greens, Oil-Cured Olive Butter, & Red Wine Shallot Jus) which was cooked perfectly was so good. Even the baguette and butter were excellent!! Just a heads-up: the pimento cheese is served cold. I was expecting it to be warm, but I probably should have asked. The heirloom tomato pie was good, not great. Think chicken pot pie, but filled with tomatoes and cheese. The flavors were pretty straightforward, but the crust was really good. The ricotta gnocchi was a hit. The gnocchi was very soft and pillowy, and it came in an almost pesto-like broth. I'm a huge pesto fan, so I really enjoyed the combination. The sweet corn with oyster mushrooms was also good, but there was a lot of sherry cream. The corn was practically swimming in it, and the mushrooms became so soft that they mostly tasted like the cream. Surprisingly, the sautéed broccolini may have been my favorite dish. It had a smoky grilled char while still keeping the firmness you want from broccolini. Simple, but really well done. We finished with the soft-serve sundae with braised blueberries, coconut graham crumble, and coconut cream. The blueberries were a little sweeter than I normally prefer, but the soft serve was delicious, the crumble added a nice texture, and the coconut cream was a subtle touch. Overall, it was a very good meal. Not every dish was a standout, but the gnocchi, broccolini, and sundae were the clear highlights.

The service was....okay. I hate to say anything bad because I plan to come back, I'll just place my order and do a pick up. We waited at least twenty minutes to get the check, and another fifteen to get our cards back. They have a lot of to go orders, and they seem to take precedence over the in-house orders. The place is clean and comfortable, with hip hop playing which is right up my alley. I'll give it another chance at a later date.

Second time spending my money here and the LAST TIME!…read more False advertising on their website where we are required to place pickup(to go) orders. Thursday night fish and shrimp special. Advertised $17.99. I was charged $19.99. After bringing to the cashier's attention she immediately went into defensive mode and advised "I don't know whats online but what you were charges is what it cost!" Mind you I showed her employer's website and she even took my phone to go through the order process on her own! Ma'am, I don't need to lie about $2. I know the economy's bad but I just ordered over $60 worth of food and drinks! I'm good over here! She stood there batting her extended eyelashes and told me there was nothing she could do and kept referring to the online price being correct even though their website shows different. The quickest way to lose my business is to fail to acknowledge a customer's concerns. Dismissive attitudes, and doubling down even with facts presented. I run a company and wouldn't come close to hiring the cashier who I presented this issue. No offer to me to speak to a Manager! Nothing! Just batting her eyelashes and smacking on chewing gum! To add injury to insult, I checked my food and I was missing the extra piece of fish that I paid for. Again, this "cashier' tried lying again by telling me that fish is sold by the pound and only AFTER I presented her with my receipt that she already had access to did she relent and that was ONLY because another lady who was much more customer friendly came from the kitchen to apologize to and confirm that she had neglected to add my other piece of catfish! Again, Ms "Cashier" casually walks off with no apology acknowledgement or anything. Note-this was the SECOND they did this as they 'forgot' to add my extra piece of fish on my order. Mind you the extra fish is $10.75 for CATFISH!!! Seems like a pattern for this business! Bag up the order. Tie it up tightly and hope the customer doesn't check until they're home and by then it's too late to try to return and if you call to report food missing, I'm certain "Ms. Cashier", will just deny and lie, indicating that all the food was in the bag when she's not even the one cooking or bagging it up! Just the money taker! BUYER BEWARE! Needless to say, I got my food and left immediately and sitting in my car fuming writing this feedback! NEVER AGAIN FATBOYS!!!!! I tried! You only get ONE SECOND CHANCE WITH ME! SEE YA!

Both were excellent. We will dine here again.

The Metro Diner is always busy, so I did expect a little bit of a wait. I was told 20-25 minutes…read moreand waited that long outside. Then, I moved inside to see what the delay was, and the host tried to seat me at the counter. Really? I'd been waiting 30 minutes, and you won't seat me at the empty table. So I declined and said I'd wait for my table. I never got a notice on my phone either, so what was the point of that system if you need to be inside the small waiting area to be called? I could see the open table, but I was not seated for another ten minutes. They didn't want me at the big table. Then it was interesting to watch all the staff walk by and ask who had my table. How do they not know which tables each person has? Someone eventually came by, asked if I'd been helped, and took my drink and food orders, since I'd been waiting quite a while. I ordered a half-and-half tea. I'm not sure she knew what that was, as she kept saying "unsweet". The first tea was half-and-half, but the refill was unsweetened. I went with the chicken pot pie, as that is what caught my eye. I expected a delicious dish, but what I received was disappointing. The ratio of the chicken, gravy and veggies was way off. I'd say there was enough low-quality processed chicken for three to four people, a little gravy and even less veggies. I had a bowl of processed chicken cubes with a splash of sauce, not what I had in mind. I usually skip the pastry part, but I ate that as I needed something other than chicken. I left some of the chicken in the dish. The waitress didn't even offer me a to-go box. It was that bad that I wouldn't eat it anyway. My check was brought out soon after I got my food. I don't understand the rush, but bringing the check early won't get me out any faster and lowers your tip. This was just a really bad experience, and I don't see myself returning. I have liked the food in the past.
