I ordered the bacon chicken wrap with grits and a jumbo strawberry mimosa. My friend went with the basic biscuit - pork sausage and a yogurt & berries bowl. The grits were cooked perfectly with a nice thick texture and nicely salted. I was amazed at the portion of bacon that came in the wrap and the chicken was seasoned well. Big portion and worth the money. I appreciate the fact that it's open seating without a traditional host stand. The dining room is causal, colorful, cozy, and well lit. One of my new breakfast favorites in Raleigh. The location is convenient to hotels downtown for business or leisure travelers looking for a quality bite to eat to start their day. This has to be my favorite biscuit place ever!! Though the format is not like a regular restaurant and here you order and pay first before you sit, I appreciate that they do come around frequently enough and even ask if you want to order something else or more! The bonuts had to be my most favorite item on the menu! Almost ordered a second batch but I just couldn't fit anything else after the biscuit. Which, the biscuit was amazing within itself as well! We came by with three of us in a party. We did street meter parking on the opposite side of the restaurant. The line was out the door with a 25 minute wait. I've been looking forward to Biscuit Belly opening locations in NC as I've been to the restaurants in VA while traveling. This location didn't disappoint! I brought my mom for a late breakfast today and she ordered the Rockwell while I ordered the boomer. The boomer has mushroom gravy and biscuits and it's full of flavor. We tried the loaded breakfast tots which were equally delicious. My mom enjoyed hers as well. I ordered the buckeye iced coffee (peanut butter foam) and it was perfectly sweet and rich. The restaurant was packed so the food took a little time to come out but it was expected given the crowd. I'll definitely be back! read more

Second review!! That FIre in your Belly biscuit didn't miss! Man. That thing didn't make it home and probably never will. Picture- a juicy nice sized perfectly seasoned and fried chicken breast, chipotle aioli, cheese and slightly sweet pickles on a perfect biscuit. I devoured it! Okay okay enough about that chicken. I also had the pancakes and bacon and mom had eggs, potatoes (a little too salty) and sausages. All the food was good. Next time I have to try the green fries tomatoes and grits because I'll definitely be back. Service- EXCELLENT! They greet you when you enter. The cashier was sooooo patient with my questions. The. Good. We may be a bit spoiled by Viscous Biscuit, as the biscuits were smaller here and the meals less flavorful. Missed having a butter bar too. That said, the Benny was good, though the brisket a bit dry. The Mamas Boy was, well, big, fried and (unfortunately) kind of one note. The Bonuts were the sweet star of the show. Seaboard area has gone through some changes recently, including the addition of Biscuit Belly. I am not a super fan of biscuits but I like them well enough. That said, Belly Biscuit serves up an above average one. I got the Basic Biscuit with bacon, for $11.25. I also got a latte which I enjoyed very much. It's order then sit down and my food arrived fairly quickly on a busy Saturday morning. The area is kinda fun, good amount of parking. I want to try the surrounding restaurants as well. This was a cool spot to drop in and grab a bite to eat for breakfast or brunch and some breakfast cocktails too. It's a "grab a menu, order and find a seat spot" so pretty laid back which I like. Plenty of menu options. I opted for the G.O.A.T. because I was craving a sweet and savory flavor so the goat cheese with the jelly was a combo I was looking for. Went to Biscuit Belly for their Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week lunch special and the Buffalo Ranch Biscuit was incredible! The chicken was moist and crispy. The buffalo sauce was not too spicy, the ranch almost had an aioli flavor, the pickles brought in some sweetness and the biscuit was fluffy. My phone died before I could take a picture of the lavender mimosa but it was THE BEST mimosa I've ever had. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating has a nice view towards downtown. They are open for breakfast and lunch only so be sure to check the hours before going. Service was quick and friendly. I would absolutely recommend. If you see this before Restaurant Week is over, check it out!! read more

We got the Rockwell Supreme (w/o bacon) w/ a side of cheesy grits, Bacon Chicken Ranch Wrap (w/ grilled chicken) w/ a side of home fries, and the Loaded Tots. Rockwell was delicious and filling! Came here for the first time with my hubby to try breakfast. We ordered an omelette, corn dogs and biscuit gravy trio. The omelette was tasty and potatoes were nice and hot. The biscuits were dry and bland on gravy trio and we only liked the mushroom gravy. Mornay was just ok and sausage gravy was runny and had weird aftertaste, we believe it had maple flavoring added. Thin and lumpy just plan yuck. Weird they have alcoholic drinks, but no beer. Corn dogs were under cooked, raw batter it was inedible. I seen others leaving them on their plates too. Stopped in while in town for a concert. First off, the restaurant has the cutest vibes. We were greeted by the friendliest staff. Parking was easy to find and the restaurant validates for the garages. My friend and I each had a biscuit and shared the gravy train. All I can say is YUM! The mushroom gravy was to die for! We visit Raleigh often and have tried many a biscuit place. This one was great. I had the GOAT and it did not disappoint. I knew immediately when I saw it on the menu that I was going to order it. I've been chasing the Maple Street squawking goat for years. This was close. The only drawback or criticism I have of this location was the parking. If you have someone with mobility issues this place is a challenge. The parking lots are confusing and there are no signs inside them to let you know where to go. Came here with my husband and toddler for breakfast on Saturday morning about 9 am. Parking on street and in spaces around development, not too busy when we showed up but steady line after awhile. I wasn't sure if it would be good with some of the reviews and the general vibe. It sort of feels a little bit chain store, but we actually liked it. I got a brisket breakfast sandwich and my husband had a brisket Benny, and my toddler had pancakes with bacon and berries and whipped cream. Drip coffee tasted pretty decent. Food was out quickly! I loved my breakfast sandwich and my husband thought his benny was pretty good. Toddler ate brisket, bacon, berries, some pancake dipped in syrup. With the cooler weather we were able to sit outside comfortably and it was a nice time. I would definitely recommend to those wanting a fun casual brunch/breakfast and yes it's very kid friendly. As a biscuit connoisseur, I can say emphatically that these were some of the best in all of Carolina. It wasn't just the taste of the biscuits that makes this place special, but quite literally everything else. The atmosphere is friendly and familiar, yet completely unique. The line was long, which is always a good sign, especially given how quickly we were served. My boyfriend and I thought that the lattes were as good as the food... maybe even better! Best latte I have ever had, hands down. If I lived above this joint, I'd never cook my own breakfast again. We were so looking forward to trying Biscuit Belly, it was just a very average meal. The stand out was the bacon, it was very good. The grits were cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the French toast was not very good, the fried chicken breast was ok. We might try Biscuit Belly again but would choose different entrees. This is a must eat place if you like biscuits. They were very fluffy! My daughter ordered The Love Shack which looked very pretty when it came out. I tried it but didn't care for the Brie. My daughter loved it. I ordered the Basic Biscuit with Sausage. I liked that they give you 2 patties. I've ordered sausage, egg & biscuits from other restaurants where the sausage patty is so tiny that it doesn't even fill up the biscuit. My husband ordered The One & Done which he said was good but not as flavorful as he's used to when he makes it himself. You can get a free order of Bonuts, which are biscuit donut holes covered in cinnamon sugar with bourbon cream cheese frosting, if you join their Damn Good Rewards on their App. We look forward to trying the other items on the menu the next time we visit our daughter. read more

Finally got a chance to stop by and try Biscuit Belly in Raleigh, the concept is pretty cool you order and then take your seat, they have so many options for breakfast cocktails, biscuit sandwiches, and some of your breakfast favorites. I started with the Rockwell and tried a lavender mimosa. The Rockwell was amazing very well flavored and delicious. The biscuit was super soft. Service was great the young lady at the counter helped me with their different options. For example, if you want a mimosa, you can do a jumbo or a regular mimosa, which is pretty cool! You actually choose your seating cafeteria style, and the ambience is cool and casual. definitely a must try! read more

Feeling adventurous, we decided to try Biscuit Belly for the first time. We hadn't done any research beforehand, so the ordering process felt a bit overwhelming at first, and we had to step aside to figure out what we wanted. I went with a classic biscuit breakfast with bacon, while my husband opted for the Rockwell Supreme. We also shared a bowl of parfait. It was a busy day--possibly thanks to the great weather--and finding a seat was a bit challenging. Luckily, we snagged a spot by the window, which made for some great people-watching. Food can either be brought to your table or picked up from the counter. The portions were generous, and everything tasted delicious. The biscuit truly lived up to the hype: moist, fluffy, and buttery. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place for a hearty, satisfying breakfast. read more

Instead of refunding me, I was told I had to go online and request the refund myself. They said that if I couldn't figure it out, they would "try" to process it the next day. It's unacceptable to accept a customer's order and payment, close early without notice, and then make the customer chase down a refund. This was a complete waste of my time and gas, and the lack of communication and customer service was extremely disappointing. I won't be ordering from here again.

The barbecue ribs tasted more boiled than slow cooked and were completely drenched in sauce. The cabbage was overwhelmed with vinegar and lacked seasoning. The mac and cheese tasted more like overcooked noodles with cheese instead of flavorful baked mac and cheese. The cornbread was dry, and even the cake was dry. I will say the restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly, so I have no complaints there. My issue was with the food quality and value for the price. Spending around $80 for a meal like this did not feel worth it at all. Maybe other people love it, but based on my experience, I don't understand the hype. The food just did not taste authentic or well prepared to me. I wish I had stuck with my original plans and just gone to Mikey's Diner in Wilson, North Carolina instead. At least I would have left satisfied. For me, this wasn't worth the drive, wasn't worth the money, and I won't be returning.

The biscuit and sausage was good, but a bit too much for one person after eating a separate order already. Definitely bring more people so you can try more things. Also, I wished I had asked for sausage gravy on the side so I can try the biscuit on its own first as well. Furthermore, I would have more time to eat the catfish so I wasn't worried about the biscuit getting soggy. Christy came to check up on me every now and then. The place was buzzing with people and decorations so I didn't feel so alone. When it was time to pay, Christy brought me the check for me to pay at the cash register. Both Christy and the cashier were so friendly! The restaurant does have a women's and a mens restroom if needed.

I understand as if you aren't seated when they open, you can expect a 90-minute to two-hour wait. I was hoping to get the Chicken Pot Pie this time and thought my prior visit was just off. I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise. I couldn't finish both biscuits and was even provided a container for the honey. I am going to miss Beasley's, but I'm glad I got a positive experience to remember the restaurant.

Tie it up tightly and hope the customer doesn't check until they're home and by then it's too late to try to return and if you call to report food missing, I'm certain "Ms. Cashier", will just deny and lie, indicating that all the food was in the bag when she's not even the one cooking or bagging it up! I left some of the chicken in the dish. The waitress didn't even offer me a to-go box. It was that bad that I wouldn't eat it anyway. My check was brought out soon after I got my food. I don't understand the rush, but bringing the check early won't get me out any faster and lowers your tip. This was just a really bad experience, and I don't see myself returning. Then when it said the wait time was 15-20 min, I decided to abandon the online order and order at the counter. There were about 3 employees busy at work and no customers. I was greeted upon arrival and helped right away. I ordered one cookie and the order came to over $9 before tip. I questioned the total and the employee returned to fix it. I like how you can easily see and pay on the screen so I could see the error. When fixed the total was about $5. Pricy for one cookie, but they do look pretty and are packaged well so they make a great gift. The rotating weekly menu is exciting, but the cookies are not very flavorful so they taste similar. Even the guava cookie had a very faint fruity flavor and mainly tasted like sugar. Many times I have noticed that the unique flavors are just in the frosting not the cookie itself. I understand having a weekly changing menu is challenging, but there is room for improvement on their flavors. The cookies are all perfectly baked and decorated beautifully. Overall, good place for the occasional treat or gift.

Came here recently for some beer and karaoke, and we had a good time!…read more I was happy to see that there was a pretty large, dedicated lot for the brewery, so it was easy to find parking. We started the night off by grabbing a couple of drinks, and they actually just recently starting serving cocktails, which was a big plus for my wife. Of course, they also had a bunch of different beers on draft, which was more my speed. After getting our drinks, we wandered into the next room and were delighted to see a ping pong table waiting for us :) They also had cornhole and a big TV showing the Hurricanes game. There wasn't a huge crowd for the karaoke, but the host was cool and the song selection was pretty large. I was also happy that the karaoke started at an earlier hour (7 PM) than most places. Starting karaoke at 10 PM is kind of brutal when you have kids :) One random aside is that the water fountain near the bathrooms was extremely powerful, so it was honestly a little hard to use. That sounds kind of ridiculous, but it was seriously firing halfway across the room. Overall, we'd definitely come back!
