    DOMINICAN STYLE ULTIMATE BREAKFAST

I was surprised to see mangu on the menu so I had to order it. The Dominican breakfast did not disappoint. The service and the food were excellent.

excellent service, quick turnaround after ordering, and favorite thing was drinks were included!! wow so much appreciated not getting takes across the coles on a drink that is separate! the food we got was not very exciting so seemed a bit average but the empanadas were a big win with my daughter!

Plantains, beans and rice and flank steak. Black beans, potato salad and boneless pork with gravy. Yum!

The food, service and ambience is very nice! We had the flank steak and boneless pork and a sauce with sides that were delicious! We've also had delicious breakfast/brunch meals there as well! We had the breakfast sandwich and the Cuban sandwich with sides. It's definitely worth stopping by as the staff is very friendly and very accommodating!

Tasty Dominican-style food at this local spot. Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. Table service is offered, with about 8 tables inside plus 6 outside on the patio. The menu is varied, with an extensive breakfast menu. We opted for a few sandwiches - a Cuban and a chicken Caesar wrap. Cuban sandwich is good. Mojo pork (pulled) is used instead of deli-sliced, which enhances this sandwich 100%. The meat is juicy and tender and spiced perfectly. Served with the usual ham, mustard, Swiss cheese and dill pickle. It's sloppy but delicious. Chicken Caesar wrap is huge! Big slices of chicken breast with lettuce, tomato caesar dressing and some avocado round it out. I'm excited to go back and try some more of the Dominican specialties.

The food was excellent. I got the pork and pineapple empanadas, and my friends got the eggs and sausage. The service was outstanding from our server, James. He was quick and checked in every so often to see how it was. The restaurant ambiance is very nice and we enjoyed our meal. 10/10 would definitely eat here again.

Falls River Cafe is a new restaurant in N. Raleigh. It is small with two tables and seven booths. Your order is taken at the table but you pay up front. You can order breakfast, lunch, or dinner all day. The regular breakfast is two eggs and two sides. I asked as it wasn't clear on the menu. I did go here planning to eat breakfast, then saw the lunch menu. Then the waitstaff showed me the dinner menu and Dominican menu so I was overwhelmed with choices. The staff is friendly but the restaurant has a few kinks to work out. In our group of 10, they forgot one person's order and then when it was eventually corrected it wasn't what he had ordered even. Most of the others were done eating by that point. I still had food as I ordered a lot and eat slower. My food was good but not as I had ordered. I don't like onions so I ordered my dish without but it still came with onions. Thankfully I don't mind the flavor of onions and just don't like eating the actual onion and could pick these out from the beef. But my sweet potato fries were soaking up the onion flavor too. They didn't plate this well. they needed to be on the other side of the rice. The beef was good though. I had ordered a cheese empanada and a pork & pineapple one. The two I was brought were a pork one and a pineapple one. I'm not sure what happened to the cheese one or why the pork and pineapple weren't together. These were comped. I'm not sure if the issue was at ordering or in the kitchen. I'd eat here again as I think there is a lot of potential but will wait until they get things figured out.

Over the past 3 weeks, I've noticed a steady decline in service and food quality. Please note I've ordered from here 8-10 times in that span, with dining in 3 times and Door Dashing 5-7 times. I can go back to my receipts but I made this place my go-to. One of the days I walked in to order and the guy flatly told me all subs were toasted when I asked if I could get mine toasted. Seemed a little uncalled for with the tone. The last visit onsite, the presentation from my first time (sub is spread open when served) had gotten worse. The tomatoes were noticeably smaller. My last door dash order from yesterday, I had a blonde hair in my sub. I do not have hair and it wouldn't be blonde, if so. It was mixed in as well. I threw the rest of my sub away. This is actually the second business on this strip I've found hair in my food. I don't complain, I just don't eat there anymore. But the fact I can notice a difference in service and food quality within 3 weeks is INSANE. At this point, I do not recommend this place.

If you are a Vegetarian like me, this and the veggie sandwich seem to be the only choices. As tasty as it is, I will order it again. Also, the lemonade is pretty good. We wanted two lemonades and found it cheaper to just buy the 1/2 quart?? of it.

They have a wide variety of sandwiches (hogies, deli style, cheesesteaks, chicken cutlets), along with burger and salad options. We opted for a cheesesteak, deli sandwich, and small salad which was the perfect amount of food for two people. My only word of caution is that the Calabrian Ceasar dressing is quite spicy, so use with caution or pick another if you don't like spicy food. The bread, meat, and toppings were all fresh and brought unique flavors that worked very well together. There was a good amount of seating both inside and outside that was clean and well kept. Be sure to check out the daily drink specials too - when we went it was $2 Tecate cans. Will definitely be back!

My favorite sandwich is the dagwood with turkey. The cheesesteak was also pretty good. Unfortunately the dagwood recently stopped featuring avocado and now is replaced by pesto so I will be looking for a new favorite soon. The sandwiches are great, prices are fair, and food always comes out quick. Both inside and outside seating is always nice and clean and the servers are friendly. I wish their bread was softer sometimes but I love the options they have. There's definitely something for everybody!
