    Eggs Benedict with hash browns
    Rebecca M.

White Story Cafe is located in Downtown Wake Forest. It is located in the historic Wilkerson Building. The renovated building still has the cozy atmosphere and even some historic photos on the walls. Parking is on the street or in a nearby parking lot. White Story Cafe shares the dining area with the Burger Shop. I had not heard about this cafe opening but I happened to read a post on Nextdoor so decided to go check it out as I am always looking for new places to explore. I was immediately greeted when I entered the cafe. They have the menu on the wall behind the counter and actual menus too. They offer breakfast, sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts, coffee and tea. The menu had some photos and my eyes went to the Eggs Benedict so that is what I ordered, which I tend to order often. It came with a choice of Canadian bacon or ham. Then it came with a side of fruit, hashbrowns, grits, or salad. Somehow, I ended up with fruit and hashbrowns. I also ordered a Thai sweet tea. After you order at the counter, you are given a number and a tray. My Thai sweet tea was a little too sweet for me so I will try something else next time. The Eggs Benedict was great though. The eggs were cooked a little longer than I'd like as I prefer runny yolks with the Eggs Benedict. The English muffins were huge, the Canadian bacon generous. The hollandaise sauce was lighter than I had had in the past but still delicious. The cup of fruit was huge. The hash browns were diced. The staff was gracious and kept making sure I had everything I needed. They even brought out all sorts of condiments someone might want. I was looking forward to my next visit before I left and even checked out the menu so maybe I will order something else next time. However, that is hard for me when I find a dish I enjoy.

I love this place. Great food! Great staff! Fabulous menu! Healthy drinks!! White Story also does catering !! Recently, my father passed and we wanted to have it catered at Bright Funeral Home. It was close to the holidays. Cherry and Apple , White Street Owners, were very supportive. She supplied an amazing food station with sandwiches, fruit , desserts. She also had a drink station with delicious coffee, tea, cocoa and juice. Our guests raved about it. Very professional!! White Story went the extra mile for us and will for you too!!

The service was great!!! The food was delicious..the grits were so creamy.. We both got omelets; meat lovers with a side of bacon and turkey omelets with grits. Atmosphere was amazing.

    Cheesy grits

Came here tonight for the first time and glad I did! I ordered the eggs Benedict with the turkey. Next time I'll try the Canadian bacon. It was just ok- but might be better with the bacon. THE GRITS HOWEVER OMG. Get them with cheese on top. Creamiest best grits I have had at a restaurant in a verrrrry long time. I'll be coming back even if it's just to get the grits.

What a great surprise! I truly loved visiting this café! We had two sandwiches: turkey pesto and turkey brie! It's hard to say which one was the best one! Both were delicious.

I am going to say that it must depend on what you get, and what she got was the Japangmyeon, and she said they were good. However, she's bought packaged noodles from Amazon and said they are just as good. I got the wing Bento box, and this was disappointing. I' m that strange person who doesn't want a HUGE wing, and these were HUGE. I also feel that they didn't have the crispness I expect, and the sauce wasn't as flavorful as I hoped. The salad with what I think is dressing they make, was tasty. The miso soup, tasty. Although I find it hilarious that Korean places serve miso soup, but again, I'm not Korean or Japanese, but I mean, miso soup is Japanese, right? The 2 fried dumplings, "spring roll", and my tempura sweet potato were a little oily and also lacked flavor. But I think I'm the problem. For me, what I like in Korean food is limited, kimchee, oh yeah; the fried wings/chicken, when done well, oh, heck yeah; the rice, I mean, you need it; and I like the lighter Japchae noodles, finding the others too heavy. I don't really like the national rice dish, Bibimbap, because, becasue like a burger, you have to know what you want on it, and I apparently don't know with Bibimbap. I'm not a huge lover of the pancake-type things, too chicken to try the soups, but give me the Japchae, GOOD fried chicken, and the bulgogi, etc., and I'm good. For us, the service was outstanding. Everyone was pleasant, we were immediately greeted, etc. Atmosphere, well, this place has been, I don't even know how many other places, but it's fine. Oh, I did enjoy the banchan, bonchon, whatever, but it was my daughter's first (and last) kimchee experience.

Ordering is done at the counter and they do have a grab and go section on the side. I thought the Harvest Salad sounded appealing not realizing it would not be made fresh and I had to take it from the grab and go refrigerator. I'm not sure when it was made and I likely should have ordered something else when I was told to get it out of the grab and go. Service has improved since my previous visit although nothing had to be brought out to me, the ordering and paying was friendly. The salad came in two sizes and I went with the larger one. Having similar salads elsewhere I was expecting more toppings than there was and would have liked more salad dressing and I don't use much. I wouldn't get a salad from Lemon Tree but I would return for other menu items as long as they aren't pre-made.

The two of us eat at Over the Falls regularly and always enjoy it. I'm honestly surprised I hadn't written a review before. Lunch for two came to $65.80 + tax and tip, and there was more than enough food. I ordered one of my two favorites: the Ahi Tuna Pita (the other favorite is the blue cheese burger). I paired it with a side salad and blue cheese dressing, plus an unsweetened iced tea with lemon. My wife ordered The Barrel, their Philly cheesesteak, with a side of sweet potato fries. We also shared an order of house-made potato skins. It was far too much food, in a good way, and we took plenty home. Service was outstanding and truly a team effort. One moment stood out: when my wife hesitated to ask for sour cream for the potato skins, our server immediately said, "It's just 15 steps, let me get it for you." That small gesture made a big difference. The rest of the team was equally warm, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance works perfectly for us, lively, busy, and welcoming without feeling chaotic. I would be confident ordering virtually anything from the menu. We'll keep coming back.

You must register with the hostess, then wait outside (or in your car) until you receive a text that your table is ready. While this is inconvenient and unpleasant, the mouthwatering food is worth the trouble. One of our favorites is the Three Sisters Salad- which includes a generous scoop of either House-made Chicken Salad, Avocado Chicken Salad or Tuna Salad (we chose the Avocado), plus a large mound of Broccoli Salad, Fresh Fruit and a Flakey Honey-drizzled Croissant. Another winner was the Flash-fried Calamari & Banana Peppers. The substantial serving of Rhode Island Calamari was crispy, oh so tender and perfectly seasoned - with Thai Chili and Marinara dipping sauces. We also recommend the Cali Pastrami Sandwich and the Bacon & Cheddar Cheeseburger. Both come with a Pickle & either House-Made Potato Chips, Tortilla Chips, French Fries, Macaroni Salad or Cole Slaw. The NY Navel Pastrami was topped with Fried Onions, Habanero Jack Cheese, Chipotle Mayo and Avocado and piled high on a flaky, chewy golden brown Pretzel Roll. The big juicy Burger included Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion and several slices of crispy Bacon.

Our server, Dawn, was easily one best servers I've had in a long time. Knowledgeable about the menu, made a point to explain everything and no questions were too obscure. We had a variety of dishes, and out of everything the pork schnitzel wasn't really a schnitzel if you've ever had one in Germany, it was more like a breaded, fried bone-in pork chop, really good but not a traditional schnitzel. The asparagus, the risotto, the pasta, the chicken were all absolutely superior. The stars were the appetizers, especially the kung pao fried Brussels, those are a meal by themselves, some of the best I've ever had! The fried burrata cheese, worth the drive to Wake Forest. Their Cherry cobbler one word: YUM!
