When we went in all of the tables were occupied, so we sat at the bar where Ms. Christmas was serving at. She greeted us with a warm smile and a 'Good Morning'. We knew what we wanted and she took our order immediately. Despite it being busy, our food was ready in about 5 minutes. The food was delicious. It was soooo busy in this location. Dreamville weekend just passed, and i was in town for that. Waffle House is always a must for me when i touch down in the south. It's something i literally crave at times. Thankfully, it was one 6 mins from my hotel!! Score!! Of course, i went with the all star breakfast. You can't really go wrong with that. Tbh, idk what else to order lol. But, what i did get was this blueberry waffle which was to die for!!! Omg! It truly is what dreams are made of. The service was a bit meh! They skipped our names on the paper which made our wait time about an hour before we got seated. Once seated, the waitress took a little while before coming to us, and she forgot my waffle. Came for a late night dinner and the joint was packed. Only 3 people were working, 2 servers and a cook. The server took a little while to arrive and take our order but the cook was pretty fast at making our meal. Is it the cleanest? No. Is it the fastest service? The server Mary was so soft spoken we couldn't hear her. Part of reason we couldn't hear her the music was so loud we couldn't even carry on a conversation over the table! We had to ask TWICE for them to turn it down. When he finally turned it down (which he later turned back up) he had a look on his face & had attitude about it. Like I said he later turned music back up. Another table came in and that was first thing they said was music was too loud! The music wasn't bad, just turn it down so we can carry on a conversation! The grits were stiff. And I got toast (even though I didn't ask for it). I'm gluten intolerant. Fortunately mine isn't as bad as others I know. Always manage to arrive with hardly anyone there & immediately tons of others arrive so I must be lucky for them:) I got a newbie waitress who got a little overwhelmed so we had to wait for our order but she was very congenial & pleasant. I'm not crazy about the stripped down menu since COVID but understand it & appreciate that there is a reduced cost senior menu. I had the all American special & my waffle was great as always, scattered, smothered & covered just makes me happy saying it! Clean & usually quick, near the airport & plenty of parking! On 6/21/2025, We came here around 10.30 AM, while waiting, there were a group of 12 people (3 young boys/baseball team and bunch of adults). The host who worked at that time knew we were waiting on our table, after 25 minutes waiting, the host went away to clean a table. One of these adults from the baseball team told the kids to sit immediately. They clearly saw us waiting and did not care. I went ahead and asked the host, is that supposed to be our table? He was hesitant, then he said no! big group should seat first. Clearly he is very ignorant, same as these adults who told their kids to sit immediately. We are regularly go there, and yesterday is the last time I would go to that Waflle House. If you think about it, there is no way 12 people can sit together in the busy and packed restaurant like that. He could easily give us the table, and we'll be finished eating while they were waiting on other tables to be finished. I'd definitely will let my friends and family know and make sure never eat there anymore. This is why younger generation grow up to be a j*rk and a**hole, because of the parents taught them/raised them like this. read more

I ordered a breakfast sandwich from here and the place wasn't even crowded. About 4 customers and 4 employees. After waiting about 25 minutes I asked how much longer for my sandwich. Always enjoy eating breakfast at any Waffle House, so stopped at this one on the way up North. Staff always friendly and attentive. We enjoy the coffee. I always order a fluffy cheese omelet with tomatoes on the side. My dining mate usually orders eggs and hashbrowns. Wish they could use real butter on the toast instead of a margarine spread. My dining mate also orders the waffles at times and enjoyed those too. We also like Waffle House as it is comfortable and unpretentious. I don't usually end up in Waffle House during the breakfast rush hour but when I stopped in here on a Friday morning, ever seat at the high counter was taken and all the tables were full. Fortunately, the low counter had an empty seat open and I was able to grab it. Simple breakfast today. All I wanted was a waffle and my waitress seemed stunned that I didn't want any bacon or sausage to go with it. Nope, just a waffle though I did add the pecans. A few minutes later, my waffle arrived. Cooked for the right amount of time and almost filling the plate, it was golden brown and excellent. Some of the spread on it, some maple syrup and I dug in and cleared it. Tasty and exactly satisfying my craving. Priced right and good fast service today. My overall experience was very good. For the price I highly recommend. The food was very good and came out very fast. Despite the restaurant being full we got the last booth available. Me and my dad both got the all star special and it was very good the grits were ok to me but everything else was so good. With limited experience with the South, I hadn't been to a Waffle House before until recently. So I went on a Sunday morning with a few friends before flying back home. I wasn't expecting a lot but I just wanted to come for the experience. Maybe this isn't much to say but: I'd rather come here than Denny's. I went for a regular waffle with hash browns with sausage gravy. The waffle was soft, though not really crispy on the outside, so it had a bit more of a pancake texture. It tasted reasonably well, nevertheless. The hash browns were okay, though a bit too greasy and the sausage gravy could've been warmer. This particular Waffle House was small and compact. Though it wasn't pristine, the restaurant wasn't too dirty. Service was nice and polite. If your expectations of a Waffle House become lofty, you'll be disappointed. Just expect cheap and easy...you'll be reasonably satisfied. read more

So, this is my first time at the Waffle House (I don't get to come to the South that often). First of all, I answered all of my check-in questions here on Yelp with "no", but for at least 2 of them, that is a good thing. I have never even been to the Waffle House, but I still know that it isn't supposed to be "trendy" (the whole point is that its interior/s have not changed in decades, right?). And the Waffle House isn't "romantic" either, and it isn't supposed to be. It has a Spartan interior, and it serves the kinda-classic bacon-eggs-cheese-beef-pork-chops dishes (don't forget the waffles!), 24/7, 365 days-a-year, right? So I am going to ignore all the questions that I just answered, and just tell you how my grilled-cheese on Texas toast, and Philly Cheesesteak on toast, was (with hashbrowns, of course): They were all great. The grilled cheese was a good, soft, warm/hot-all-the-way-through, grilled cheese sandwich. Just the way a grilled cheese is *supposed* to be cooked. My cheesesteak sandwich was good, with jalapeno peppers and onions, and they gave me extra pickles (and they have Tobasco, like they should). The food is all fresh and warm, and the staff is attentive and pleasant. It is not super-cheap, but it is pretty cheap. The hashbrowns were the least impressive thing I ate tonight, but, even they were good-enough-to-eat. I will certainly come to the Waffle House (and to *this* Waffle House) again! read more

Stopped here again after arriving on a flight to RDU. Was sat at the bar and had a rather dull personality, not overly friendly or attentive waitress. I ordered my standard eggs with bacon, toast and sliced tomatoes on the side. The tomatoes, then the eggs and bacon and finally the toast all came out in separate intervals about 5 to 7 minutes apart so I ate my breakfast piecemeal. Not exactly what I wanted. The hash browns were so overcooked that the entire portion was in the shape of dark crunchy hashbrown cookie you could pick up and eat with your hand rather than use a fork.
