Sunday at my 1 and only favorite location. Margaret was our waitress. She provided excellent service. She repeated order correctly and her warmth personality is very welcoming. Waited for meal, approx., 20 minutes later. 1st plate arrived, no issues. My order was wrong, ordered my usually omelet, wrong order arrived. 3rd order same as 1 st order was not received. You have 2 male managers, they both were very polite. Mr Lenny approach us and informed him of my concerns. At this time, the 2 orders were finally received. Mr Lenny apologies were unique and I appreciated that he initated a resolution, professionally. My meal was prepared immediately, and it was great as usual. Please acknowledge Margaret, she was servicing many tables as polite and attentive to all. It appeared that the kitchen/cooks fell behind and incorrect orders occurred. Took me 7 years to visit. Located across from Duke Raleigh hospital this used to be an upscale area. Located next to a Days Inn the area is now more diverse. The place was jumping on Friday morning at 9:30. Families laughing, seniors eating, and friends hanging out. The heat was pumping, maybe a bit too much but it was 25 out. Food was fresh, piping hot and surprisingly tasty. They probably needed another server but the hostess kept the coffee flowing. Hard to complain like other reviews. I had a disturbing experience at this location today! Earlier this morning when I ordered and picked up my food the service was great, I even tipped the young lady at the counter. In addition, I went in later that day to bring my food in as one of the associates told me too when I called , while I was trying to eat. The first manager made it seem like "things just happen". Yes, I understand things happen but compensate your customer and have a compassionate attitude about it. Especially, one that is NOT being rude about the situation. I ordered a Cali Club sandwich with seasoned fries and a garden salad. While eating the sandwich, I unexpectedly bit into a piece of plastic that had somehow made its way into the food while being cooked. This was not only shocking and extremely unpleasant and disgusting , but it also posed a potential health risk. (This was the tag that the turkey meat obviously came in). The first manager lied and said she couldn't print me off a receipt so she went and got the GM, Christina.The managers had a MAJOR problem with me asking for a receipt. I patiently waited for the GM to come back out (approximately 10 minutes). Apparently, I was "doing the most ", was called "girllll", and was told "the girl should have printed me off one last night , I can't give you one." (in her words), by the manager Christina. Which resulted in me calling the police because she was adamant on not printing me one for my references, although she had already printed herself one. Thankfully, I had already gotten my refund, I just wanted a simple receipt because corporate needed the order number. This incident did not have to escalate at all. I've never had this happen to me in my LIFE. New managers are needed there! Both of them were extremely rude and unpleasant to handle business with. Are in Raleigh for a few days and have eaten at this Denny's 3 times so far and the service, food, and prices were on point.

I decided to try the crepe combo which was good but a bit too much vanilla for me. I miss the Nutella days to be honest. Service was good my only complaint was that I didn't like how the server kept putting her rag on the back of our booth seat. I get we were the #28 so it sits by the walkway. But I found it a bit unsanitary to clean tables and to save from having to walk a ways, you place it on the back of someone's chair close or not it still was gross to see. My husband & I dined here on Sunday evening with another couple for the 1st time. Our reservation was for 6:30pm & we arrived to a mostly empty restaurant. Our young server appeared to be somewhat timid albeit polite & wrote down our cocktail orders; however when served, two of the martinis were without the requested rimmers which she admittedly had forgotten to input to the bartender. Our empty appetizer dishes remained on the table when the entrees arrived & we had to request they be removed along with the empty glasses. We ordered 4 different entrees: ribeye, pork chop, shrimp scampi & seared scallops with risotto & all agreed the food was good but nothing all that impressive. Any bread request is an added charge. The chef did come out to the dining room to introduce himself to the two tables of patrons which was very nice. We ordered two desserts to share but again had to suggest the empty dinner plates be removed. The bills were presented for payment & finalized & as we were enjoying conversation & a nice visit with our friends suddenly the server walked past our table without saying a word & turned the overhead lights up to the maximum brightness! It was shockingly uncomfortable & frankly rude. We quickly glanced at our watches to realize it was nearing 9pm & closing time. We abruptly left with the feeling of less than appreciated for our business. Needless to say we will not be returning nor recommending this establishment to anyone. My sister and me were in town for a baby shower. Little did we know March Madness basketball was in full swing. All restaurants had long waits. I had not been to a Dennys in over 10 years because they had decline. We decided to give it a shot. WOW! I was taken back but the service and food selection. I went ahead and ordered two chocolate chip pancakes, two sides of hash browns (add cheese obviously), and a side of bacon. These hash browns were S-tier. If you don't know what that means, basically I'm just saying they were hella good! I would go back just for the hash browns, because they truly out did themselves for these. The bacon was good and crispy. But not too crispy, which is definitely a good thing. All you crispy crispy bacon eaters, I don't trust you! Just kidding, have your bacon, your way. Finally, I also got two stacks of chocolate chip pancakes. They were very good. Some of the better pancakes I've had. MJ got an Oreo milkshake, which was also delectable. If a restaurant has cookies and cream, you already sold me. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal. Not to mention, they have tempting crane games right when you walk into a restaurant. We came for breakfast because they offer a free build your own grand slam on your birthday. Our server, Urcela, came over right away and took our drink orders. She was very personable, friendly and attentive. She asked us multiple times if we needed anything & how was our food was. She also joked with us. We both ordered the build your own slam. You have the option to choose four items such as eggs, meat, pancakes, toast, pancakes, etc. Some items offered require an up charge or you will get charged extra if you choose more than four items. I got the bacon, hash browns, wheat toast and pancakes. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. The bacon and hash browns were good and the toast came with butter melted on them. Literally the shittiest Denny's I've ever been to in my life. Went at around midnight after a concert and they had a good amount of people working. We got seated very quickly, the only issue was our waiter. Didn't check up on us a single time, forgot our toast and never brought our check. We waited 15 mins and he walked by several times pretending he didn't notice us. We finally just got up and went to the register and when the man behind the counter asked for our ticket we told him we were not given one. Tonight was the only time in my life I have not given my waiter a tip, and although I felt terrible he was genuinely the worst waiter I've ever had. I'm not a regular here at this restaurant. However the staff so far has been excellent, attentive and humorous. The managers are stepping in with serving, due to a big flow of customers coming in. The only down fall I experienced was part of my meal came out on a dirty plate. I don't know if the cooks were rushing, and accidentally got some stuff on it or not. Decent breakfast this morning at Denny's. Nothing special, but reasonable. A little slow from start to finish, but the meal was good and the coffee was plentiful. Ham and cheese omelet was larger than expected, perhaps because I asked to skip the potatoes and the toast. I'm doing keto and this sort of thing is perfect for me to lose weight. The food is usually good. Depends on who is cooking that day. They are usually short staffed and you may have to wait to be seated, sometimes I've asked the server to sanitize the table. They need to help accessible patrons in helping and leaving the establishment. It's not a fancy restaurant but a fairly decent versatile menu with vegan, carb, calorie control and smaller portion option available-special requests are usually possible. The establishment has more of a mom &pop atmosphere & menu. They offer great shakes & smoothies- yum yum. It can get crowded so you have to be patient to be seated. read more
