First time here. Been wanting to come for a while and so glad I did. I arrived and it was already packed at 530 on Saturday. Outdoor seating looked really nice. Wish it wasn't 100 out. Good reason to come back. Started with prickly pear margarita with mescal. Yum! Had a white wine after. It was ok. My friend and I shared 4 bruschetta's- smoked salmon and pesto, artichoke, caprese, and apple, Brie and fig. Favs were smoked salmon and apple and Brie. The fries were amazing. Salmon board was good too. The bread on the board was much better than the bruschetta. Ambiance is great. Service as well. Will be back! read more

I've loved Postino for a long time - being from Dallas, we had a few locations there, so I was excited moving to Raleigh to still have access to Postino. It's in a busy plaza with lots of businesses nearby, but we've never had trouble finding parking. Hands down, the best thing to order is the bruschetta board. There is such a unique variety of options, but I'm partial to the salmon pesto. We also ordered the roast beef dip on focaccia for more substance. The bread was incredible, and the flavors with the dip were so good. Postino is a great spot for good drinks and vibes, and definitely worth a visit if you haven't tried it yet. read more

Absolutely love Postino! This is my go to lunch spot with coworkers. We've been numerous times and are never disappointed. My go to meal is the half panini and tomato soup. Their roast beef panini is on par with Portillo's a long standing Chicago beef restaurant (IYKYK). I've NEVER had a beef sandwich that was better than Portillo's but Postino you managed to take a hometown classic and elevate it to a point beyond my expectations - if you get this sandwich I recommend getting it on the ciabatta bread versus focaccia. Let's not overlook the tomato soup - it's so rich and flavorful. For a lighter lunch my go to is the tuna panini with broccoli salad. They are known for their boards, I've not had the bruschetta yet but it looks delicious. My favorite board is the hummus. One thing I hate is when a restaurant gives you a big bowl of hummus and not enough pita. That is not the case here, you'll get pita, toasted bread, and a variety of vegetables to scoop up the velvety humus covered in cherry tomatoes, red onion and feta. For date night enjoy a Violet Femme a gin cocktail that tastes as lovely as it looks. The service here is top notch! Everyone is fantastic. I'll have to come back to this review to note the serves names we've had because they have all been exceptional. Now let's talk about the vibe! Postino's nailed the indoor/outdoor feel. Plenty of windows that are open on nice days, plants galore and the decor gives you a cool like rockstar but classy feel. 5 stars doesn't feel like enough. read more

I loveeeee this place. They have an awesome wine and board special on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Get a board and a bottle of wine for a great price! The bruschetta boards are so good. Service is great. They take time to explain the wines. It's somehow lively inside but still quiet. I love the ambience. read more

Excellent service! We ordered a 4-piece Bruschetta and split a skewer appetizer plate. Drinks- we ordered a draft beer & Cucumber drink. All excellent. Was a bit of a wait inside, so we are outside. Kinda hot out, but sun was setting, and there was a breeze, so it worked out well! read more

This was my first time visiting Postinos, and we stopped in for lunch. The service was amazing. Our waitress was sweet, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. The food was pretty good. I started with the tortellini soup and had the French toast from the Brunch menu. For drinks, I tried the pineapple mimosa, but it was warm, which really affected the flavor. I also ordered an espresso martini, and unfortunately it had an artificial taste that I would not recommend, especially for the price. One issue we ran into was the number of flies around our table. Even though we were seated inside, there were several constantly circling, and one ended up landing in my water. Our waitress tried to help, but the problem continued. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the service, but I would come back for the food only and not for the drinks. read more

Loved walking in to a kind hostess who even commented on my dress! I was hopeful when this happened and expected the experience to be over the top. I had yet to visit and the dining room was small but separate from the bar area which was nice and the wine as decor was unique. Met my daughter and roommate for lunch and while it was "fine" I'd leave it there. The water didn't have ice which is fine. That said our server never refilled it and only after a switch of servers were we offered a refill. I got the Brie and Prosciutto on Focaccia and it was fine. When one upgrades to fries I expect it to be an upgraded fry. It was fine. Our second server was very sweet but the service overall left something to be desired. There was no table visit at any time and I was grateful for the incredible company because outside that, this spot didn't make the grade. read more

We enjoyed eating here a few weeks ago. There were some at our table who had many special requests, and the server was very patient. We sat outside and there were heaters which was nice since it was slightly cool in the shade. read more

I returned here with a friend after enjoying a Yelp event. It was very busy on a week day at lunch time and our lunch took a bit to arrive but it was all good once it did. I ordered the crispy cauliflower app which was delish! Don't let the raisins sway your decision - it's suttle but just right with the cauli. They add a romesco sauce that's flavorful add capers to add the salty goodness. Loved this! I also ordered the meatball app which was plenty. They were perfect size and more than enough for two. The sauce was rich and bold with flavor and a sprinkle of goat cheese was just right. I will return and try a few more apps next time. read more

The service was great! Everyone was welcoming and attentive. The server had great recommendations and I'm so glad I took them! I ordered the watermelon spritz, it was light and refreshing. We started with a board. Literally sooooo delicious! For main course, I ate the Italian beef deep panini and raspberry chicken. Probably the best salad I've ever eaten. The blue cheese and raspberry dressing balanced each other very well. The sauce with the panini added so much flavor. The west coaster would have tasted better with avocado. The PREAM bowl lacked flavor and needed more seasoning. I will definitely be back!!! read more

Omg this place is SO good. I would highly recommend coming here with friends for a fun shared dinner with inexpensive drinks (happy hour specials). Their bruschetta is literally amazing. The bread is thicker and they are generous with their toppings. They also have a lot of uncommon ingredient combinations which makes them special and insanely good. If you aren't wanting to do shared plates they also have individual meals such as paninis. When it's nice weather its so fun to sit outside on their patio- great atmosphere. The staff is also friendly and welcoming. While this is a chain, it doesn't have that normal sub par repetitive vibe. It feels like a local neighborhood spot and I would highly recommend. read more

Postino is located in the Village District and has a free parking lot shared with other businesses. If that lot fills, there are other lots in the shopping center. Postino has been open for almost two years now. Postino has both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor space is open-concept, with high ceilings and large windows. The lounge area has lower chairs and soft fabrics. The dining room has tables and booths. There is also a bar with a library wall separating it from the dining area. The walls are wood tones with pops of red and yellow. The high ceilings make the restaurant loud, so if music is playing, it is harder to hear conversations. I was on the same side as the jazz music. While Postino is a wine bar, it also offers many mocktails for those of us who do not want alcohol. I tend to order the Mockingbird because I enjoy it, but I need to try another one next time. The menu has twelve bruschetta boards. I have tried most of them on my visits; my last visit included the chef's special with asparagus and peas. I didn't care for this one in taste or form, as it needed a creamy base so the toppings didn't fall off. I also thought it would be more like the artichoke spread. The flavor wasn't good, and I do like asparagus. The smoked salmon was another new one I tried. I really liked this one, but then I realized mine was missing the onions. So this was good luck on my part, as I don't like onions. I didn't order it special, though, so the kitchen left it off. The Prosciutto with Figs & Mascarpone was another I enjoyed as the flavors came together well. Ricotta, Dates & Pistachio had been a favorite in the past, but I didn't care for it this visit. I think something was missing on this one, too. Service was friendly, functional and efficient, but not overly attentive. It is a busy place. If you are looking for a high -energy spot with great mocktails and lovely decor, check out Postino. I do hope the food is more consistent on my next visit. read more

I got the bruschetta board and the brie fig prosciutto Panini. The bruschetta board was all right a little bit dry. I think they could've toasted the bread a bit less. The Panini was good. We went around 6 PM and the restaurant was mostly empty but they put us right next to another table very close, which was a little weird. I do like the place inside but tonight was just a little less good than usual. Usually I leave this place really satisfied. read more

One of our favorite casual date night spots! There is a wide variety of different dishes on the menu, but we loved the bruschetta boards. We tried 8 different ones, and all were excellent! The pesto and salami one was my favorite. The inside of the restaurant is pretty dimly lit, but we didn't mind and it helped create a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor patio looked nice and could be a good option for daytime. Our waitress was very attentive and let us know about the seasonal specials. They have a board and wine deal on weekday nights that we're looking to try next. Would definitely recommend for a fun night out in the Village District with friends or a date! read more

Another Arizona staple that made its way to North Carolina! My husband and I stopped in here for a quick bite on a Friday night before a concert. I have been to Postino many times before, but this was my first time at the Raleigh location. While it's been 4 years since I've had Postino and the menu has changed a little, the bruschetta board is still a permanent fixture. We ordered a bruschetta board for an appetizer and I ordered the half panini & half salad for my entree. The bruschetta board is a must order because you can get 4 different kinds. The top tier choice is the salami pesto one. It's my absolute favorite. For my panini, I got the caprese one on ciabatta bread and the half of the mixed greens salad. The salad was delicious. This was a ton of food and felt very satisfying. I always love the vibe of Postino's, but this location was way too dark with only a small candle at the table. Service started off good and we were able to order our food without a problem. However, our server was done with his shift right after we ordered so we got a new server. Our new server had no idea we already ordered and was a little behind coming to our table for water refills. Despite that, we were in and out of the restaurant within 45 minutes. Postino is surrounded by other shops and restaurants, so they had a ton of parking available outside the restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you want good food! read more

Went in for a late bite. The meatballs and the sausage board were delish. Also got the pretzel bites which were cooked to the perfect temperature and the cheese was great to pair with as well. It didn't taste like cheap cheese, it tasted like an actual dipping cheese. Service was fantastic. They have beautiful indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio as well. There is a fireplace option with couches around that adds an extra area of seating. read more

Recently came here for a 5 year anniversary. Lunch time was pretty open, place was clean and service was timely. Food was delicious 100% would suggest the caesar salad with the prosciutto brie panini on focaccia bread. it was sweet, salty, savory and probably one of the best caesar dressings i've had in the area (i got the half & half for lunch...i would suggest regular portions if you're very hungry) Now the issues...the AC must have not been working for it was a little hot and muggy in the restaurant. Also, when it was time to pay..none of our credit cards would read and the waitress claimed there was no cash registers on site and everything was digital. ( we noticed a register at the bar on the way out) Ultimately she couldn't get the handheld devices to work so we paid cash. This is not entirely a deal breaker since the food was good, BUT I would recommend to have cash on you!!! read more

Came to Postino for a solo lunch reading date and had a great time! I purchased the Roasted Mushroom Fondue- the melted white cheddar cheese was gooey and salty, but well-balanced with the much needed Calabrian chili oil, savory Cremini mushrooms, and perfectly buttery & crispy focaccia crostini. This was a great dish to have on a cold day! Service was amazing: my server took the time to provide his recommendations, offered to provide extra bread, and checked in regularly. Ambiance is super aesthetic: classic modern elegance, tons of seating. There is a large amount of free parking. 9/10 would recommend! read more

So, I decided to check out Postino on a brisk Saturday evening. I arrived around 6:30 and it was busy. I was fortunate to get a table at the bar. The service from the time I arrived to the moment I paid my bill was amazing. Postino's is definitely a vibe. From the great music to the coziness, to the excellent wine list and the amazing food!! I started with a glass of the Costa Red Blend and the Skewers. They were out of chicken, so I had two of the beef skewers and they were absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. The garlic yogurt sauce was also perfection. I then ordered a board with 4 toasts, smoked salmon, fresh mozzarella w/ tomato & basil, burrata w/ bacon, arugula and tomato and poached pear!! They were all so good, but being by myself it was hard to eat it all, I was getting tired of all the toast, so with the last couple, I'd just take the toppings off and eat them. Everything was so beautifully prepared and made perfectly. The presentation was top notch. Postino is a great place for anytime, date night, a group, or solo! read more

Sparkling rosé starts this post--and our adventure--off right! City seating and a curated menu by creative chefs were ordered tout de suite and off we go! A focaccia roll lined with rare tuna and a fresh side salad may not leave room for the promised warm doughnut finish. Pooled service kept glasses full and customers happy. I'm not sure how the other locations are decorated, but I love the quirky library look. Sit closer than usual; the high ceiling bounces every sound and creates a constant bustling vibe. It certainly caters to groups with shared plates and boards. Is that a waterfall? Nope--it's the sound of decanted wine deftly poured into glasses! With over 50 labels, you'll have plenty to choose from. A hidden gem for book clubs and friends from out of town, as the chic theme doesn't lend itself to a family restaurant. Energy was a pleasure to redirect on this week of thanks in November. read more

Food was good, laid back intimate vibes, service was slow, good happy hour specials. The decor was fun and hip. Lighting is low and dim with candles. This would be a great place for a date night or a casual hangout or dinner. The kids options are great and the portions are generous. The apple slices were thin cut but the kids didn't like them because they were salted presumably to keep them from browning. The house fried chips didn't taste too fresh and inconsistently seasoned, a lot were bland. The Chef's charcuterie board was lovely and had a great variety of items. I thought the hummus was really fantastic. Service was friendly but slow with big gaps in between orders when people wanted to order more drinks. There were also QR codes on the table promoting a buy a $100 gift card get $30 gift card deal but when we asked our server about it she said she would ask her manager about it (we had questions) and she never did. For 3 young children and 4 adults we ordered 3 kids meals, sweet potato fries, chef's charcuterie, shrimp scampi (its by weight but we got 5 shrimp to share and it comes with artichokes), 2 prosciutto and Brie paninis, two Italian beef dip (which I HIGHLY recommend. It was so delicious, definitely the best item on the menu to order by far), hot donut dots, and olive oil cake. Both desserts were delicious and moist. We wanted to order the meatballs with goat cheese as well but they were out of it. We also ordered a $6 pitcher of one of the rotating drinks on tap which was a Firestone grapefruit hef (yum but depends on what you're into), prickly pear marg, Negroni, and a couple other drinks I can't remember. All of the drinks were solid. Def come here for the drinks. The food is good too but it's also mainly paninis which is pretty casual food for the price. If you do order food, the select two option is a great value. Italian beef and the chopped chicken salad is the way to go! read more

I recommend reserving a table, especially if you're a larger group. I came here with a group of 5 friends without a reservation and got seated right away, but in the lounge/couch area. It was very hard to hear each other because the seating was so spaced out. It was also very warm because the door to the patio was left open right next to us. I wouldn't recommend sitting here if you can help it! We split two of the bruschetta boards and Nick's board. The bruschetta was good and they have a variety of flavors to choose from. The pimento cheese and pretzel bites were the stars on Nick's board for me. We all got different wines and had no complaints! I also got the brussels sprouts salad which was so yummy. The service was very slow. We were there for about 2 hours and sat with empty drinks for a while. I'm thinking maybe it was just because it was so busy and we were in the lounge area. This was my first time trying Postino; I've been wanting to try it forever! I brought some friends on a Sunday evening. The decor and vibe is cozy, warm, and welcoming. Everything on the menu looked fantastic, but I narrowed my choice down to the P.R.E.A.M. Bowl. It had steak, broccolini, avocado, warm grains, and romesco. I had to look up ingredients of romesco and it's a Spanish sauce with roasted red peppers, almonds, garlic, tomatoes, and vinegar. The sauce kicked this dish up several notches-it really added so much flavor. I'd love to come back and try more menu items. read more

This was my third trip to Postino's. I obviously enjoyed my previous two experiences, but this one was unfortunately sub-par. Ambience is still good and the food this time was mixed. Some of it was excellent, other dishes were served cold when they should've been hot. The drink selection was, as always, good. The major disappointment this time was our server. He was inordinately slow, inattentive, and seemed totally discombobulated about how to manage multiple tables. Some tables were waiting on a check (had to seek out the manager), others were waiting to be seen, and he took orders from tables out of sequence from when they were seated (one or my issues with him). Sure, I will probably go back again, but this latest experience definitely lessened the appeal of Postino's to me. read more

What a gem of a restaurant. The ambiance is warm, moody, sexy, perfect for a date night. Go during happy hour and take advantage of their $6 glasses of wine or beers. I love a good cauliflower dish, I almost didn't get this one because of the raisins but it WORKED! A little more sauce would have been nice but I left nothing on the plate! As my entree I had the prosciutto and Brie panini and for a slightly up charge I got the tomato soup as a side. The fig jam inside the panini felt like the perfect charcuterie board in a sandwich.
