Most consistent great food and service. They have been around a long time. Highly recommend. Great out door seating with a private dining area and grab & go entrees from the Annex next door. A must try

First time in this place - wished that I had try this place sooner. We came sat for early dinner before the crowds. It's not a big place so I'd imagine wait if we came later. We had seafood dip appetizer- has a lot of veggie in it so it's light and pretty good. My son liked the lobster Mac and cheese, parsnip mashed potatoes we like it is the healthier version and our waiter was right, kids can't taste difference. I had seafood paella - it's really fresh and not heavy. Way better than seafood stew we had in other places. Hubby chose the special - grouper and seared shrimp. With succotash and potato cake , it was well thought out together. Tried the blueberry, peach and strawberry cobbler. It's so yummy and not overly sweet. Will definitely, the lamb chops looks good in the next table.

I don't know how I've lived in the area so long and this Summer was my first trip to Glenwood Grill. Tucked away in the back of the Harris Teeter plaza parking was easy for lunch. Everyone from the server to the hostess were very friendly. I went with the salmon salad and it was spot on. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad itself was super flavorful. I went in on my birthday and they also gave a free birthday dessert. They even let me pick it! So few places give anything complimentary, let alone let you select it. I thought this was the nicest touch and just awesome customer service. I look forward to dining here again for lunch or dinner!

Mahi Mahi - special of the day

My husband and I were meeting with a friend who is hearing impaired. When looking online for the "quietest restaurants" in Raleigh, the Glenwood Grill was at the top of the list. Our experience was excellent! When we asked for the most quiet spot, we were given a table in a private area in the back of the restaurant. They were also able to turn down the volume of the music upon request! Service was excellent and the food was great! I had the special : mahi mahi with green beans - It was outstanding! Large portions, delicious and cooked to perfection. My husband had the seared Ahi and said it was very good but not outstanding. He said the ahi itself was good but was underwhelmed with the sides that came with it. My friend ordered the catfish. When I texted him to ask him how he liked it, this was his response: "Might just be the best catfish I've ever had - bedded down on it's-gonna-be-a-very-hapy-new-year Hoppin' John and sweet, scrumptious chutney! Yum!"

This is a regular restaurant I usually have lunch business meetings in. The food is delicious, plates aren't too big or small, prices are affordable, the space is well lit with a lot of natural light, and servers are friendly. I noticed that the crowd tends to be a bit older as I did not see any young couples or children. I ordered this time the sweet potato and squash brique, the crab cake and the pumpking bread for dessert (yes!!). No complaints at all! There is free parking with a small parking lot. I never have issues finding a spot but do plan for some time if you are planning to go during busy times. Overall, good stuff!

Our first time here was to celebrate moms birthday and both of us enjoyed it so much. Everyone from the manager to our waiter made the birthday girl feel very special. A very nice atmosphere with tables for two, four or more. They have some outdoor seating too, but it was just too hot. Located in the Harris teeter shopping center on Glenwood Ave. The only improvement would be to have a good handicap space. There's only one and it's the smallest space I have ever seen for a handicap spot. I had to let mom out in front of the Domino's place, then go park the car. I got some crab soup and it was good but could have used more sherry and more spice of some kind. Also had the fried oysters that came with yummy collards, rice and black eyed peas. Very good. Mom had the shrimp risotto and loved it. I will get that next time. They surprised her with a comp apple crisp, complete with a candle! She was thrilled. I had the creme brûlée and it was topped with some fresh berries and very good. Service was great, despite them being very busy. Note: they close at 2:00 and open again for dinner at 5:00. We will be back!

It's not much pulling in the parking lot considering it's in a shopping center but prepare yourself to be blown away by good quality food bursting with flavor and excellent customer service. Everything was perfect! Our table was not ready immediately upon arrival but it could have been because my sister added a guest to our group last minute. Needless to say, they made up for it by offering a complimentary appetizer for late seating, which was only 10 minutes or so if that. Our waiter was fabulous! I had the orange pork belly appetizer. I also ordered the grilled lamb entree served over a bed of mushrooms, cabbage, and peas. I also added a side of parmesan cauliflower. As my cocktail, I had the cosmo. Everything I ordered was very good. The service and food here are a solid 5. I look forward to coming back soon!

Came here for dinner. The a The atmosphere was warm, cozy And elegant. Elegant Espolon margarita- boozy but lacks flavor complexity. Seafood and grits - i enjoyed this dish. The shrimp and scallops were flavorful and the grits were the perfect consistency. Berry cobbler - delicious vanilla Gelato and juicy berries. I wish more crust accompanied the berries. The bartender was excellent - funny and warm. Definitely recommend for date night or even dining alone.

Enjoyed our food and the service was great. An ordering mishap happened and our mains were served before our appetizers. The restaurant apologized and comped the appetizers. Drinks weee good too. Nice place and would eat hear again

We dined here for Valentine's Day evening prior to an early am flight out of RDU the next am. We had to wait a while for our table despite having a reservation, but understood due to the special occasion and found a seat at the bar to enjoy cocktails prior to dinner. It took forever for the bartender to acknowledge our existence... we finally were served a glass of wine and a French 75 after at least 20 min sitting at the small bar. We probably would've had 2 or 3 more, but it took sooo long to get his attention again we just closed out and moved to our table. We started our dinner with a bottle of CAYMUS and had oyster Rockefeller, wedge salad, and crab soup. Both of these were out of this world - the Rockefeller was served so different than traditional Rockefeller but we loved it! The soup was also phenomenal. For dinner we had the duck and filet with pimento cheese. The duck was the best part of dinner and while the filet itself was just okay the pimento cheese on top was weird but sooo tasty and I don't know that we won't make a filet with pimento at home ourselves as a result. Our waitress was great. The ambiance of the restaurant was okay... the NC State basketball game was on at the bar and was a bit loud given that it was Valentines and the tables were soooo close together that we were practically eating dinner with the random couple next to us. Overall, great food & would def dine here again on a night that isn't Valentine's.

Beignets, beignets, beignets!…read more This place is perfect for a girls night, date night, friends night, solo night... honestly any night! I came here for drinks and dessert with friends, and the star of the show was definitely the beignets. As someone who has visited New Orleans and tried the real deal, I thought I knew what good beignets tasted like. Turns out, I did not have to travel that far after all! The beignets here are like a cross between a classic beignet and a croissant. Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of indulgent. I will definitely be back to check out more of the menu, but no matter what, I am saving room for the... say it with me... beignets!!

Her recommendations for pairing the drinks with the food were flawless, and each drink was prepared like a work of art. I started with the raw oysters, paired with a glass of Rose, which I loved. They switched from the Halibut with Fennel to Mahi with Forbidden Rice. The rice is black and inky and potent and extraordinary, but it overwhelmed the fish completely. Still greatful I got to experience it, but I would pair it with something more gamy like lamb or goat. The Pecan pie with warm salted caramel ice cream was nothing short of a spiritual experience, and Hayley's recommendation to pair it with Rum Flip was perfect. Yes, I Ubered. Overall, this one is going to be a frequent hangout.

The shrimp Rasta pasta was creamy, flavorful, and had the perfect amount of spice, plus they give a generous portion of shrimp. We sat outside this day, as the weather was mild and there wasn't any available seats inside. We ordered a fried combo and a grilled combo. TrySeafood does a lot of things right. Portion size was fairly generous. We especially love the fact they serve cleaned jumbo shrimp. Food was cooked well, shrimp was tender as was scallops. The broccoli was not tender crisp nor mushy. The potatoes and corn were delicious. While service was friendly, it was a bit slow. Also, I'm not an Old Bay fan. The grilled shrimp were seasoned with Old Bay. While the fish was crispy, I prefer a cornmeal dredge to a flour dredge. Finally, (and this could have been a me thing) the tip percentage on the screen doesn't align with the math. I intended to tip 15% - which is standard especially considering slow service. That should have been approx $8 and when I got home I realized it was approximately $16. You're not given a printed receipt and if you're in a rush and going through the process quickly it's easy to miss. Again I may have missed something, but I'm pretty sure I selected the %15 option. Additionally, I've seen other restaurants that have intentionally include this practice. Would I go again, sure. I'd request a different seasoning blend or a light seasoning and check that math! I quickly scanned their hefty bloody mary menu and ordered the Lobstrocity, featuring veggies, shrimp, a grilled cheese sandwich and a fresh lobster tail atop a sizeable glass of the main concoction. This was definitely a meal in a glass! It was all quite delicious and filling, and I was glad I'd opted out of any of the optional add-ons like filet mignon, crab claws, or frog legs. Of course, I still had to order half a dozen raw oysters for dessert. And no, I won't be eating for the rest of the day! What made this a 5 star experience was our phenomenal server, Trevor. We started with the mojito flight, which was honestly a fun way to kick things off. The Lavender and Blood Orange were my favorites, but the Chipotle Pineapple had a surprisingly good smoky-sweet balance, and even the Desert Pear was refreshing without tasting overly syrupy. For appetizers, the fried calamari disappeared fast -- crispy, tender, and not greasy at all. The New England clam chowder was rich and comforting, and the lobster scallop bisque was probably the sleeper hit of the night. Creamy, decadent, and loaded with flavor without being overwhelmingly heavy. The Virginia oysters were... fine. Fresh enough, but they didn't really stand out compared to everything else we ordered. Now for the stars of the table: the frog legs and the COCONUT CURRY PEI MUSSELS. The frog legs were perfectly fried and surprisingly delicate, but those mussels? Easily the best dish of the night. The coconut curry broth was ridiculously good -- rich, aromatic, slightly sweet with a little heat. Still, the food itself was strong enough that I'd absolutely come back, especially for those mussels and another round of mojitos. Solid 4-star seafood spot for Holly Springs.

Wife and I started our quick little anniversary getaway here, and they nailed it. The place itself is gorgeous. Huge patio with greenery, baller bar area in the middle of the upscale open space, which gives a modern and chic vibe. That problem I mentioned? Deciding what we were going to order off of the amazingly stacked tapas menu. One sounded better than the other, plates coming out to the left and right of us...we were deer in headlights not knowing what to do, words didn't come out when our friendly and knowledgeable server came by. As far as problems go at a restaurant, I guess it could have been worse. With helpful guidance and knowing our love for anything foodie related, we just started picking one by one after a few sips of our well balanced cocktails (another large menu with anything and everything for fellow cocktail lovers out there). Had to go with a meat and charcuterie board first. A decadent manchego, a creamy French that was smooth and tangy, plus a 20 month cured ham that was salty and smoky. Honestly everything that came out after was a 10/10. From the wild mushrooms, Wagyu carpaccio and bone marrow, to the pork belly, corn bunuelos and steak paillard...everything was cooked to perfection with amazing spices and sauces that complemented each dish perfectly. (See pics and captions for more details) These chefs and mixologists know what they're doing here. 2 managers came by our table to make sure everything was going well. The papas being amongst the most popular are a good staple. The charcuterie is also very nice. The other tapas can be hit or miss depending on what is seasonally offered. On this visit, I wanted Brussels sprouts but they were no longer on the menu and the lamb was not a bone in lamb but rather ground meatballs. Not bad, just not what I expected. It's not a place I seek out to come, but it's solid food and drinks that fills a need when I want a late bite.

I will say the only downside is the price, it was about $160 for the boil and wings, but for a special occasion, absolutely worth it.
