Classy lively and delicious Came here for Friday night with some friends. Great selection of wine and tapas we had an amazing time here. Venue: lively, has tables, and full bar. It was sprinkling so I didn't see much people in the patio but available. Ambien lighting with lively music. Gets very busy. Simple and modern decor. Food: tried various tapa. Generally they were all good. Ordered charcuterie- simple choices recommended by the server was decent. Pulpo (octopus) was on the drier side but good flavor. Goat cheese was good but I felt it needed more syrup. Wagyu carpaccio was good- mild taste. There was another cooked Wagyu tapa I was not a fan. What took the show that was not on the menu that night was the bone marrow. Get it! Love love love. The wine recommended by our server was exceptional. All in all, I would come back. Service: he was attentive and provided exceptional service.

I love this spot. The manager and our waiter/waitress were super friendly and attentive. I love the small plate concept to allow you to try a few good dishes. We tried the meatballs, green beans, potatoes, shrimp and empanadas. Everything was delicious. The dishes were plated well and arrived timely. This is a great spot to hang with friends. The bar had an amazing selection of cocktails and wines.

Delicious food, great staff, and amazing atmosphere! Can't go wrong here. Great place to take a date!

Walking into the Barcelona Wine Bar is like Is like stepping into a time machine that got a taste for Rioja--where the ghosts of forklifts and iron hoists now politely make way for stemware and jamón. The brick still whispers industry, the steel beams still hum with work, but now they've dressed up in ambient light and velvet shadows, trading grit for garnacha. A cathedral of labor reborn as a cathedral of leisure. The drinks arrive with confidence--robust, balanced, and unapologetically strong, especially the Old Fashioned. Yet for all the grit in the glass, it's the friendly smiles behind the bar that make the space glow even brighter than the Edison bulbs and the only thing smoother than the drinks is the service, Cheers!

Went here over the weekend for a birthday celebration. The food was amazing but any large dish will take an hour. I was totally fine with it as we enjoyed wine and a few tapas. I would highly recommend a reservation as it was packed and there is little to no waiting room inside the restaurant. They did have the patio open with plenty of fires going to keep people warm. Everything I had was very good

Had some of the best Tapas here when I was in Raleigh. Located right outside the Dillon Hotel in downtown Raleigh it was walking distance from the hotel and one of the few place opened past 10. Sat at the bar, the bartender was friendly and helpful. We ordered a nice Vinho Verde wine and a few small plates. The food was over the top . One dish was better than the other. Gambas al Ajillo- Shrimps sautéed in garlic, wine, and oil. Albondigos - spicy meatballs in a red sauce. I can highly recommend thes meatballs. Super chill vibe and a great place for date night. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for drinks and small plates, and easily found a seat at the bar. My husband had a cocktail and I had sangria, both were good. Love the vibe here and the people are friendly. If they ask if you want bread before your meal, say YES! That was one of my favorite things, comes out hot and fresh. Small plates enjoyed: 1. Charcuterie with salami - recommend, spicy chorizo - not spicy and would not get again, and manchego cheese - recommend. 2. Marinated olives - well marinated and tasty but I was hoping for a mix of olives and they were all green. 3. Empanadas - very good and would def get again.

Love this place. Noisy, but the food is amazing, as is the wine selection. Tapas, allow you to try many dishes paired with different wines. Wines can be ordered by the bottle or in 3/6 oz glass, so you can pace yourself, and pair the right wine with the food. Bartenders will help you, so no worries. Cameron and Justin are great. As for the food, outstanding and consistent every time...almost. My favorites are the boquerones (anchovies), I know, I hate them too, but these are to die for, and I never skip ordering them when I'm here. The steak Paillard is marinated in something that is nothing short of heaven ( they overcooked it tonight for the first time ever) but still outstanding. The Rezabal goes with just about everything so it's become my go to choice on the wine. For desert, I go to the figs with Chorizo and the Tanat ( desert wine from Uruguay). Of course, they were out of that tonight , so I tried the dates. Normally, they are wrapped in bacon, but, bacon tends to overwhelm just about everything. So I asked them to swap the bacon for prosciutto. They only had Serrano, but they agreed. It was perfect. Did I say I love this place. Highly recommended

We had a very nice Catalan bottle of wine and sat outside on the patio. The server was attentive even though it was Halloween and there were a lot of distractions.

Barcelona Wine Bar is a nice option for a date night. The spicy beef empanadas and cauliflower are perfect starters, both have great taste and won't disappoint. The Branzino was surprisingly good, and I appreciated the fact that it came deboned. No surprise they have a nice wine selection although I didn't have a glass that night. Service was great and attentive. I have an allergy to tree nuts and my server gave me menu recommendations to accommodate. The ambience of the restaurant is nice for a vibey evening with a special someone. Overall 9/10.

Came in after a long day of training in my Raleigh Office. Enjoyed a few glasses of red sangria. Cade was my bartender and he took care of my drinks and gave great recommendation about food. Ordered 4 tapas plates which definite constitutes an entree in quantity; Patatas Bravas, Cauliflower in Mustard vinaigrette, Gambas Al Ajillo, and Chicken Thigh. What a meal and outstanding flavors. Joined the clean plates (plural) club with this great meal! Atmosphere and crowd was about what I expected at 6pm on a. Wednesday evening; energetic and lively. Several groups appeared to be enjoying a girls night with pitchers of sangria! Good choice. Always love Barcelona when I visit Raleigh! Cheers.

Modern atmosphere with Spanish tapas and food but service could use a bit of work. Our group came here for a Sunday brunch for a table of 8 and overall the food was good but the service was infrequent and when the food came it started out slow and then everything all at once so pacing could be improved. I ordered a wine flight and some friends got cocktails that came but mine didn't arrive until the end of the meal. For a group our size, we requested some serving utensils but they didn't come. Other than the service hiccups, they had some good food dishes that I enjoyed including the Peach Montadito and Gambas and Grits. We also ordered the Paella Mariscos and the Paella Salvaje. They were good but missing the crisp rice on the bottom. Overall, not a bad place but decent food and improvements with service would make it much more enjoyable.

Half off wine bottles every Monday! The bread is delicious and some of my favorites are the roasted carrots, potatoes, steak, and the brussel sprouts. The service is consistently great, good for a large party if you make a reservation. Large selection of wines, mixed drinks can't go wrong either!

The North Hills spot ( 4421 Six Forks Road in Raleigh, beside Total Wine) feels settled in the best way. Comfortable, Welcoming, Cozy. We started slowly. A wine flight. The kinds of plates you keep reaching for without realizing it. For dinner, we had the the NY Strip (North Carolina pasture-raised Angus with Diane sauce and a French onion potato gratin). The business was clean and there is also a bar inside. The restaurant has a large selection of wines and offers flights for purchase. The restaurant had some people dining in but they were not overly packed. Initially our server was pleasant and attentive. I got a blood orange sparkling water. It was ok. I ordered the whipped ricotta for an appetizer to share and a burger with fries for my entree. The whipped ricotta was ok. It would taste better with some sort of seasoning in it. My fries were served hot but needed some salt. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done but I was brought a burnt burger. I took one bite but it was too overcooked. I then requested that my server have my burger be cooked medium well so I didn't get another burnt burger. When my burger was brought back out, our server had me cut into my burger to make sure it was to my liking. The preparation was better but it was bland and tasted like there wasn't any seasoning on it. After this our server wasn't as attentive anymore. For dessert we got the donuts. They were served warm and I enjoyed them with the cherry sauce. I did not like the chocolate sauce that was served with the donuts.

Classy but chill, the kind of place that feels welcoming whether you're on a solo drink mission or meeting up with friends. The space isn't loud or chaotic, which made it perfect for a relaxed drink and conversation. It felt like a local hidden gem rather than a tourist trap, and that's always a plus when you're exploring a new city. The service was great from start to finish. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do! They gave recommendations, and took the time to chat and help them pick something perfect. Of course, I had to go with the espresso martini, because if a spot has it on the menu, I'm trying it. And wow, this one was good. Smooth, balanced, and truly the kind of cocktail that makes you forget you're basically drinking dessert. Not too sweet, with that rich coffee flavor front and center. Easily one of the better espresso martinis I've had in a while. Even though it was a quiet afternoon, the energy didn't feel slow or empty, just comfortable. It was obvious this place would be equally great on a livelier night, too. This is definitely a great cocktail bar that's worth a stop if you're in Raleigh.
