The ambience of this spot is absolutely fabulous! I've come here twice now once for Valentine's Day and another time with my friend. They do jazz nights on Wednesday nights, which was a really nice touch and the live music is great. If you're looking for a snack I definitely recommend the fries. Drink wise, I really enjoyed my sangria. However, I do think this place is very overpriced for what it offers. You are paying for the ambience and the setting.

My husband and I came here for the first time and had a reservation for a Thursday night. Upon walking in, we were amazed by the ambiance and how beautiful the interior of the restaurant was! It definitely is a nice spot to come for a date night. We ordered some marinated olives to start off with (not pictured). We came on Thursday night and they have $10 cocktails. I ordered the lamb kofta burger. It was $17 and although it tasted great, I kind of wished for the price, that it came with a side. My husband ordered the shawarma platter and that was $20. Overall, it was good but the food was a little dry. Our waiter was nice but we had to flag him down to refill our waters.

I went to Boatman's to try to catch my friend Mikey during his Sunday dj-ing but I just missed him. Nonetheless, I still had to eat and drink. I started off with the Bloody sunset, super cute Halloween themed drink, it was strong with strong citrus notes. I had the beef tallow fries and the grilled shrimp, both were delicious. The fries were served with their version of ranch that tasted like Taziki sauce. The crispy mini baguettes with the grilled shrimp were amazing. Then I had a Simon Senior, warning this drink is strong! But delicious, simple hibiscus flavor. The bartender had just made a batch of their coquito and let me sample it, hands down you can tell he is Puerto Rican. Mikey showed up later and I got a sneak peak at their soon to open distillery. I will surely be back!

The food was pretty good. Very fresh, and man, the number of cocktails is insane, I wanted to try everything, but went with a s'mores old fashioned. I'll be back for more. The service was great. Our sever was super attentive and made great suggestions the ambiance was perfect for the galentines dinner we had.

Was walking past here on a way to another restaurant and decided to pop in because the fried halloumi stuck with me. The halloumi was good. However, the rest of the meal left a lot to be desired. The old-fashioned came after the food was delivered to us, served with small ice cubes filled to the rim that we physically had to take ice out of the cup in order to be able to drink the old-fashioned. Again, The Shawarma meat was dry, and sadly there was an entire long hair in our food. With early Friday service when they weren't that busy we really expected more; to be out of things already seems a bit like poor planning. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told that he is occupied and will stop by. We wait for a while and then eventually left.

Previously had plans to come here, so it was still on my radar. I decided to pop in Wednesday to hear some Jazz. The hostess was welcoming. I received 1.5 hours of validated parking for the deck. The parking was effortless. I enjoyed the hummus small plate (very delicious) and the lamb burger. The lamb had a tad too much seasoning on the lamb for me. Besides that it was good. I enjoyed the cocktails the witching hour and the Bloody Sunset - both were deliciously crafted by the bartender. The ambiance here was nice. The restaurant was clean. The lighting was dim. I enjoyed the soulful jazz and the singing by Autumn. Very relaxing for a midweek night out. The service was great.

The new Boatman Spirits Co. is now open at Seaboard Station! This distillery/bar/restaurant offers up chic Mediterranean styling with a warm interior and vaulted ceilings. A nice bar in the back with a small menu of Medi bites completes the scene. Choose from a variety of classic cocktails with some spins on the recipe at $16 a piece, with the food menu at $6 to $16. Overall I like the place a lot, but they may need a way to do some sound-proofing inside to keep conversations at a lower decibel level. But the concept is cool and I suspect they will evolve a lot in the upcoming months. Certainly worth a visit in the rapidly changing Seaboard Station development.

Date night with friends was absolutely amazing. We loved Boatman Spirits Co. When we first arrived we were greeted at the door by two amazing host. The first welcomed us and the other showed us to our seat. I wanted to know if they validated parking and they said yes! for one hour. I loved that they have a covered parking deck. Our server who's name I cannot remember was absolutely amazing. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and the cocktails and made some awesome suggestions. We ordered small plates and were satisfied and we also order a couple rounds of cocktails which we thought were great. One of the things that we chatted about was the acoustics in the restaurants - it makes it really hard to hear the server but it wasn't bad enough that we wouldn't return. We were able to hear each other well. The restaurant is stunning and the food is delicious. I would definitely go back because I really wanted to try the main dishes. Overall great restaurant and an awesome addition to the Raleigh food scene.

Where do I even begin? I stopped into Boatman Spirits Co and walked out absolutely in love. Tucked into the ever-growing and vibrant Seaboard Station in Raleigh, this spot is an absolute must-visit. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Boatman Spirits is the kind of place that will keep you coming back. The vibe is a perfect blend of modern comfort and upscale charm, but it's the food and drinks that truly shine. Specializing in craft cocktails and small plates, Boatman Spirits Co is killing it on every front. We ordered a spread that included the flank steak (which was so good I didn't even get a photo before diving in), stuffed dates, hummus, fried halloumi, and a fattoush salad that honestly deserves its own spotlight. Every single item was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, fresh ingredients, bold spices, and thoughtful execution in every bite. Whether you're looking for a date night destination, a place to impress out-of-towners, or just a spot to treat yourself, Boatman Spirits Co delivers. I'll definitely be back and next time, I'll try to remember to take pictures before devouring the food!

This place was absolutely amazing. All I can say is, we made a lot of happy noises while eating,…read moreand there were plenty of "oh my God" moments at the table. From the staff to the manager to the food, everything was on point. The food truly speaks for itself. They serve small plates, which we love because it gives you the chance to try different things and experience a variety of flavors. We started with the fried pork belly on tostones. It was perfectly seasoned, topped with avocado, and every bite just melted in your mouth. Next, we had the tamarind sticky ribs with a tamarind mango barbecue sauce. This was a perfect example of how simplicity can create complex flavors. The ribs were cooked just right -- not completely falling off the bone, but tender enough that when you bit into them, the meat pulled apart so easily. They were juicy, full of flavor, and had just the right touch of spice from the chili flakes. Then we moved on to the mini arepas, and oh my God. They had slow-cooked pork, guava barbecue sauce, and fried papas on top. The arepa itself was crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside. The savory pork paired with the sweetness of the guava barbecue sauce was incredible, and the crunch from the fried papas took it to another level. Now, I have a bit of a sweet tooth, but my wife does not. I wanted dessert, and we were leaning toward the tres leches, but our waitress highly recommended the bread pudding. I am not usually a fan of bread pudding at all, but her recommendations had been on point all night, so I decided to trust her. I am so glad we did. They take a Mexican bolillo, soak it overnight in tres leches, then pan-sear it to create this crispy caramelized outside while keeping the inside warm, soft, and sweet. It is topped with crema and toasted coconut, then they pour warm guava syrup over it and serve it with a scoop of coconut sorbet. The layers of flavor in that dessert were unreal. Honestly, it may have been the best dessert we have ever had. And remember, my wife is not big on sweets -- she usually only takes one bite of dessert, but this time she tried to eat over half of it. Lol. I highly recommend this place. The food, the service, the drinks, and the atmosphere were all amazing. And after dinner, you can even head upstairs to work off the food with salsa lessons and a dance club. This is definitely a spot worth checking out! Me alegra muchísimo haberlo hecho. Jajaja.

Seriously, if you can't find a pour you like here, you may just need water instead. Sweet, salty, buttery chaos in the best way. For the main, I went with the pork chop and greens. The chop leaned a little overcooked for me personally, but the sauce helped bring things back together and added good flavor. The greens had a nice little kick of heat, but I kept waiting for that deep smoky ham hock flavor to show up like an old Southern grandma entering the kitchen... and it never quite arrived. Overall though? Still a solid meal, strong whiskey program, cool atmosphere, and definitely worth checking out if you're in Raleigh looking for a bourbon-forward dinner spot. The rice is black and inky and potent and extraordinary, but it overwhelmed the fish completely. Still greatful I got to experience it, but I would pair it with something more gamy like lamb or goat.
