Quick dinner getaway and the food was Stellar indeed. We got the pommes dauphine which was pillowy fried potato balls absolutely delicious! Their Asiago gnocchi w/ Buratta hir the spot too.. calamari fritti was crisp. While we were not interested in dessert, their seasonal matcha crème brûlée intrigued us so we got that! While it had the perfect crackle, and the first bite was amazing but most of the brûlée that was hidden under the whipped cream was burnt and left a very strong aftertaste that did ruin the dessert experience for me.

Great food & kind people. I sat at the bar with the owners and had some great conversation while watching the olympic games. I enjoyed a stellar gin cocktail (delish) and had the tuna tataki. Everyone and everything was wonderful. This was a Saturday night around 6:30 pm and the crew was anticipating a large party-- they were prepped and ready for visit. Great local place to grab a bite. Thanks, Mandy & family for having me :)

I wasn't sure what to expect from this place, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food and the service! This place is run by a husband and wife, they are super friendly and obviously want their business to succeed and are doing as much as they can to facilitate that. The food was excellent! I just ordered a steak sandwich with fries but it was a really good sandwich! My date ordered the tuna which was cooked to perfection! We also both got desserts, I got the chocolate torte And it was very interesting, had some flavors that I couldn't even figure out what they were! Definitely recommend this place for a nice date night out!

My son and I visited this restaurant today. We were seated right away upon arrival. The atmosphere is flexible and can accommodate various types of occasions. The staff was friendly, professional, and hospitable. Our server, Ava, made us feel welcomed and did a good job tending to our needs. For our drinks, we ordered the Rum Ritual Cocktail, the Raventos Blanc Cava Rosé, and the Coastal Red Cream. All drinks were flavorful. The Rum Ritual was sweet and refreshing. It made me feel like I was laying on a hammock on the beach. My son said the Rosé was on the sweeter bolder end while the Coastal Red Cream tasted similar to the soda. We had Calamari Fritti as an appetizer. The texture was perfect. It was not tough nor too chewy and was moist. There was a nice crisp on first bite. The taste was nice but could've been a little more flavorful. The prosciutto adds a great texture to the gnocchi and brings a great flavor to the Asiago Gnocchi dish. The burrata cheese was a great addition. This dish had a nice kick to it. The Romesco Chicken dish was a big hit. The multitude of flavors in your mouth at the same time enhanced this dish. The chicken had a nice texture which balanced well with the zucchini. Both entrees were presented well and plated beautifully. The food was also seasoned to perfection, and the portions were just right. I will definitely visit Stellar again.

Saw that this was a new restaurant in the five points area so we had to try it! We got a few different small plates (some pictured) and shared the steak main dish. While the taste was decent, the execution of the dish could definitely be improved! On the other hand, the service was amazing!

The food was pretty good. I started with the tortellini soup and had the French toast from the Brunch menu. For drinks, I tried the pineapple mimosa, but it was warm, which really affected the flavor. I also ordered an espresso martini, and unfortunately it had an artificial taste that I would not recommend, especially for the price. One issue we ran into was the number of flies around our table. Even though we were seated inside, there were several constantly circling, and one ended up landing in my water. Our waitress tried to help, but the problem continued. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the service, but I would come back for the food only and not for the drinks.

The space is cozy, not too big, and lovely. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly & attentive. We even got to meet the Chef and let him know how amazing his curated and creative dishes were! We sat at the bar and were able to be seated right away. We each opted for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon (or two). On to the food! The menu is extensive but not overwhelming. Plenty of delicious and appealing options of small plates to share, but also a few larger ones. We started with the Goat Cheese Stuffed Piquillo Peppers & Truffled Deviled Eggs. Both of these were amazing. The Peppers melt in your mouth and had so much flavor. The Deviled Eggs had the perfect amount of truffle flavor and were perfectly cooked. Next we opted for the Baguette of the day - this one was served with Salami, Burrata, and Arugula. The bread was perfectly crispy and all of the toppings fresh and delicious; this was a perfect combination! Lastly, it was between the Lamb Sliders Trio and the Paella! I really wanted to try the Paella, but my sister and I decided that we would try something a bit lighter and the Sliders looked so elevated, unique, and delicious. They sure did deliver! Served with fresh Goat Cheese, Guacamole, Fresh Jalapeño, Caramelized Onions, and Sriracha, which we got on the side. This dish was absolutely amazing! So different. You wouldn't think to put those flavors together, but it was so great and we would hands-down get it again! All of the food at Vinos Finos was delicious, fun, and fresh. I love how the Chef puts together various flavors that you wouldn't expect. We cannot wait to go back!

The North Hills spot ( 4421 Six Forks Road in Raleigh, beside Total Wine) feels settled in the best way. Comfortable, Welcoming, Cozy. We started slowly. A wine flight. The kinds of plates you keep reaching for without realizing it. For dinner, we had the the NY Strip (North Carolina pasture-raised Angus with Diane sauce and a French onion potato gratin). And the roasted whole fish (with hazelnut gremolata, citrus beurre blanc, and confit sunchoke). Both cooked to perfection, nothing missing, and absolutely delicious. The business was clean and there is also a bar inside. The restaurant has a large selection of wines and offers flights for purchase. The restaurant had some people dining in but they were not overly packed. Initially our server was pleasant and attentive. I got a blood orange sparkling water. It was ok. I ordered the whipped ricotta for an appetizer to share and a burger with fries for my entree. The whipped ricotta was ok. It would taste better with some sort of seasoning in it. My fries were served hot but needed some salt. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done but I was brought a burnt burger. I took one bite but it was too overcooked. I then requested that my server have my burger be cooked medium well so I didn't get another burnt burger. When my burger was brought back out, our server had me cut into my burger to make sure it was to my liking. The preparation was better but it was bland and tasted like there wasn't any seasoning on it. After this our server wasn't as attentive anymore. For dessert we got the donuts. They were served warm and I enjoyed them with the cherry sauce. I did not like the chocolate sauce that was served with the donuts.

I just don't think I expected what I got. Upon entering, I was received by a small very warm and beautifully lit bar that simply felt special. Little did I know that the gracious gentleman who kindly offered me the seat was none other than the proprietor of Niche, Mr. Ted Powell and that's when my night really started as Ted graciously regaled me with amazing stories between the pause on the songs played by the band. What a vibrant spirit this man has. If you go here, you have to meet Ted. From telling me about how he acquired the place, his daughter, Budstock, Maverick Rose Music Hour, and sharing details of each nights events at Niche, he made my first visit (just me myself and I) a beautiful one. He couldn't stop talking about how wonderful a mixologist Andy is. Don't get it twisted. This man is more than a bartender. He's a diplomatic mixologist who knows how to let patrons know, in the most respectful but boundary maintaining way, how to behave. I saw him in action and it was a beautiful thing to see him basically offer up a dose of kindness with a dash of "you better check yourself before you wreck yourself." If a place could be described by one word, Niche's word would be KINDNESS. I felt like I was taken care of. Thank you Ted and Andy for being so kind on my first visit and turning my night around.
