Came care a few weeks ago when they started having brunch on the weekends. Let me say they did not disappoint. Nick the manager is on point and made us feel welcome. He treated us like family and we left with belly's full and happy. We ordered whipped feta for the table to share which was amazing. I went to their first brunch weekend and it was awesome. The shutters were open because the weather was nice and the restaurant is beautiful. I bet they get walk ins on nice days. I dare you not to get the Pistachio Baklava French Toast. It's so freaking good and even kiddos liked it. The Benedict is also a classic and the burrata app is one of the best I've had. I can't wait to try the lamb hash and dive into their big cocktail menu. The table behind me had a cool shareable cocktail bowl. My GF and I came for their Fire and Fermentation wine dinner and WOW! Shoutout to our server Mike (incredible service) and to the manager Meridith who made sure we were good and last but not least it least to Chef Roberto who created and executed a PERFECT meal and experience for an unreasonably low price ($100/pp + tax and 20% service charge) The dining room really creates an atmosphere that sets the stage for the meal. When visiting Raleigh, we had a delicious dinner with excellent drinks. The decor is absolutely lovely and I felt momentarily transported to a Mediterranean location somewhere. We all tried something different -I had the burrata flight and a beet salad. The burrata flight would have been better shared, but I enjoyed it! My friends both had pasta and we enjoyed some fresh bread with the meal. The service was outstanding. I visited for my birthday this month and had an amazing experience. I came later in the evening when it was just a few people just how I like it. The restaurant is simply stunning and great for photos. The Food: We started with the Warm Goat cheese and the flavor was by far the best I've had. We came for Vidrio's NYE dinner and party event. While the food was good, the execution of this event could use improvement. From waiting 15+ minutes to be sat when we had a reservation, to waiting 30+ minutes for our first course (and all other courses), barely being visited by the servers, and then the staff not having a single clue about what was listed in the offering (re: wine pairing/cocktail pairing), this event missed the mark for me. What I did love was the food, the fact that we were able to sit at our table the whole night, and the upstairs bar. In the future, I hope management will have more staff not just for servers but also for the chefs for an event like this. There were snacks at the end that would have been better served at the beginning when we were waiting 30+ minutes for our food. It honestly would have probably changed my opinion of the event. We started with drinks: a beer for me and an espresso martini for my fiancé, though hers skewed too sweet. Since we were hungry, we ordered two appetizers--the burrata trio and the potatoes--both were solid choices. For mains, I enjoyed my pork chop, which was well-prepared. Let me preface that I went to a private event at this restaurant. It was located on the 2nd floor and was transformed into a night club! Located in downtown Raleigh, this sophisticated restaurant was very accommodating for a 50th birthday party. The decor, the photo opportunities, buffet, open bar and dessert bar was impeccable. They even had a celebrity DJ and a legendary hip hop performer! I was able to experience the food- garden salad, mixed vegetables and roasted chicken. There were potatoes too but I skipped them to save my carbs for the cocktails. My choice of drink was an Old Fashion with Bulleit Whiskey. The bartenders took pride in every cocktail they made - nothing was premade here. It did take a bit longer to get served but it was worth watching the bartenders work their magic! We used to LOVE coming to Vidrio and raved about it to everyone. We returned last night with out of town guests and left disappointed and embarrassed by how we hyped it up. The server was okay but seemed poorly trained and definitely nervous. The menu has changed, perhaps the chef or the recipes of the classics too. Nothing was outstanding, just decent, and not at all what we were accustomed to at this gorgeous restaurant. The Moroccan skewers were probably the only thing without significant changes. No halloumi on the menu or that amazingly addicting chicken. The grilled little gem salad replacing the grilled romaine was poorly executed and limp comparatively. The grilled octopus was very chewy and tough. The patatas bravas were bland and dry, not tossed in the sauce, just spread across a dish. The fettuccini "carbonara" was just a bland Alfredo with peas, lacking any real flavor or texture - not at all like the former version. The mixed grill was so basic and very sad portion sizes for the price. Unfortunate cost cutting measures. The atmosphere was pretty dead too, not many guests or music or anything that felt like life. Maybe the town has caught on to the changes and moved on too. PS - can you please fix the projectors on the stage?! They don't even come close to lining up with the screens and it cheapens it so much. read more

I came here for the first time for a graduation dinner and was immediately taken by the beautiful interior of the restaurant. The lighting and decor gave the whole place a very fancy and upscale vibe. The dinner took place in a private room upstairs and was buffet style which I did not know prior to arriving. I was slightly disappointed by the food options because every dish - except the bread and vegetables - was covered in cheese (which I cannot eat). No fault to Vidrio for this, the staff who organized the dinner should have asked about food allergies / intolerances beforehand but oh well. Regardless, I did enjoy the food that I tried, the bread was soft and the vegetables were well seasoned. I also tried some of the chicken (after removing the bacon it was wrapped in and as much of the cheese as I could) and enjoyed it as well. I also got an aperol spritz which was very good, maybe my favorite thing from the whole evening. My partner and I first visited Vidrio a couple of months ago and had a truly wonderful and intimate experience. The atmosphere was beautiful, there was a live band playing, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was warm and attentive. That evening left such a great impression that we were excited to return for Restaurant Week. Unfortunately, our most recent visit on a Friday night was disappointing, particularly in terms of service. While we expected a busier environment due to the weekend and Restaurant Week crowd, the service we received was well below the standard of our previous visit. We ordered from the prix fixe menu and also added a wine flight and an extra appetizer. After a brief introduction from our server, we were essentially ignored for the rest of the evening. It took quite a while for our first course to arrive, which we were willing to overlook given the circumstances. However, we were never checked on--not once--to ask how we were enjoying our food, drinks, or whether we needed anything. When we mentioned at the end of the meal that our additional appetizer never came out, our server showed no real concern or apology. At first, we assumed he was just overwhelmed, but it became painfully clear that other tables around us were receiving attentive service--water refills, friendly check-ins, etc.--while we were repeatedly passed over. It felt like we were being treated differently, and regardless of the reason (be it age, appearance, or something else), it was disheartening. We asked for our dessert to-go and requested the check, simply wanting to end an otherwise enjoyable evening on our own terms. Lawrence G, our server, may very well be capable of providing great service--as we witnessed at nearby tables--but unfortunately, that was not extended to us. Vidrio is a beautiful restaurant with outstanding food and ambiance, and we know it can be a fantastic dining experience. But hospitality matters. Consistency and fairness in service are essential, and sadly, this visit left us feeling unseen and unwelcome. We will probably return but it will not be any time soon. read more

The Lima beans were pretty bland. The Fettuccine Alfredo was good and it was clear the pasta was hand made. The service and ambience were perfect. It was a great day so you get 3 stars. This restaurant is centrally located in Raleigh in a section of the city with a few restaurants, hotels and bars within walking distance. The menu has quite a few options, and you can get virtually any drink from the full bar. My wife and I went on a late Saturday afternoon for an early dinner, and ordered the Charred Octopus, Hanger Steak and Local Burrata. Everything was delicious, I mean EVERYTHING! The service was great, common areas and restrooms were clean, and the decoration is beautiful (refer to the photos for details). Upon entering the staff here were welcoming and polite. I was seated up the stairs with a nice view of the restaurant decor. Coming on a Wednesday was a quiet and enjoyable evening. My waiter explained the menu offerings without asking. I enjoyed the Crispy Zucchini with lemon aioli, Moroccan Beef Skewers with harissa yogurt on the side, and the Cauliflower Cacio E Pepe parmesan- all was very good! For my cocktails, I had the Cast Away with Rum and the Paradisa made with Gin. Both were decent but the cocktails to me weren't Vidrrio's strong suit here for me. I recently got to try Vidrio when I was out of town for work and it was an absolute treat. We rented out a private space and the ambiance was a mix of a tropical jungle and clean, modern warehouse - it was beautiful! The service was top notch and we never went without anything throughout the evening. The food itself started with a few charcuterie boards and appetizers and everything was delicious.
