    Souvla and Filet Mignon

Really enjoyed my time here! The first thing I noticed was how beautiful this restaurant is - the decor really contributes to the ambiance. For starters we got the spanakopita, tirokafteri, soutzoukakia, and the grilled shrimp - the crowd favorites were definitely the spanakopita and tirokafteri. All of the starters were well balanced and not too filling which I always appreciate. For starters, we got the chicken souvla, filet mignon, shrimp saganaki, and beef short rib. Everyone really seemed to enjoy their entrees except for the filet. I tried a piece and agreed it was extremely underwhelming - not because the quality or the cook weren't spot on, they were, the seasoning was lacking severely which was a huge disappointment considering the price. The favorite was definitely the chicken souvla, the meat was incredibly tender and paired with that paprika sauce and tzatziki, it was hard to beat! We ended up getting the dessert cocktails (espresso martini, baklava old fashioned), both were great as well as their baklava, which was exactly what a good baklava should be! Crispy, sweet, and packed with pistachios! I would most definitely come back. The service was great.

Food: absolutely delicious. The flavors were so vibrant and strong and it felt like it was fresh. The zucchini croquettes with taziki was a great appetizer and the taziki was thick. kritharota : The orzo was cooked so well and the lemon flavor was outstanding. giglandes plaki: beans were so hearty and rich however it came in a small bowl so ended up ordering the sourdough bread on the side to make the dish more filling. The baklava was incredibly large and but the filling was flavorful. Also not super syrupy like other places may do. Ambiance: it was very airy and light and gave the atmosphere like you were traveling in Greece. Very open and the booths were very comfortable and there was plenty of room to sit people Service: the service was great and our waiter explained the dishes and help us to find the best vegetarian options on menu. Was very attentive and would check in To make sure we were taken care of Parking: located across from apartments and near other businesses, it was tucked away with a small parking area

Enjoyed dinner with my husband on a Saturday evening. It was packed but we luckily had a reservation and were seated promptly. We started with a round of drinks - the smoke mezcal cocktail for me and a glass of Greek wine for him. Both were delicious! We weren't super hungry so chose a few dishes to share meze style. Everything was delicious - but my favorites were the grape leaves and the eggplant dip. Everything was flavorful and beautifully plated. Our server was personable and attentive. We ended with the baklava which was a delish sweet treat. Couldn't have asked for a better meal. It's a great spot to take family, friends, a date, or a group. Definitely a must try!

First, the place is gorgeous. They did an amazing job updating the prior space to this Hellenic theme. Large restaurant too, with lots of rooms so you could definitely do a large private dinner here well. Food was phenomenal- we ordered multiple plates and shared, with the dolmas being a favorite, and the spanakopita being absolutely amazing. I don't typically like beets but the way they were prepared and paired with cheese and nuts made me really enjoy as well! My only gripe is our server was rough- made disparaging jokes about himself not being good which made it more awkward. He knew two drinks they were out of, but was unsure if the bartenders could do something similar. This is clearly a place with professional wait staff and bartenders, so they could easily create something along similar lines. Regardless of our server, I would return happily.

A fun spin on Greek food! Zucchini croquettes were great, loved the moussaka, and appreciated a twist on spanakopita. Service was good, they were attentive. Very nice ambiance, not too loud. Overall good, would go again and try some new dishes.

My search for the best spanakopita in the world continues! When we think of top destinations for Greek food, a few places usually come to mind--Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete, London, New York, Chicago, Sydney, and Melbourne. But this time, I discovered a hidden gem in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. The Raleigh area has a growing Greek community (not quite as large as Charlotte's, but definitely expanding), and with that comes an increasing number of Greek culinary options. So, what better way to celebrate my birthday than with a special dinner at Naos? * From the moment I walked in, I was mesmerized. Naos has a vibe that made me feel like I was dining inside the Acropolis Museum--in the best way possible * I started with the Spanakopita , which was packed with spinach and feta. The outer layer was unusually thin, but I ended up loving the contrast of the crispy exterior with the soft, flavorful filling. * Next up was the Chicken Souvla , served with tzatziki, warm pita, and lemony roasted potatoes--absolutely delicious. * For dessert, they spoiled me with two Greek classics: Portokalopita (a rich orange sponge and phyllo cake) and Baklava Sarigli (a spiral-shaped baklava with pistachios). Everything was incredible--from the food to the stunning decor. I already can't wait to go back!

Naos is expensive but it is worth it. It was a beer for me and a cocktail for my husband to start. For food we split the spanakopita, zucchini croquettes, kritharota, clay pot lamb and orange phyllo cake. My favorites were the croquettes and clay pot lamb.

Not entirely sure since we still have no idea how to access it, but maybe look for that lot if street parking is challenging :) Anyway, RBF is located in the basement of a building, so we had to take an elevator down from the entrance we took. Inside, it's got chill vibes - it definitely feels like a wine bar :) We ended up sitting inside on a high top, but there were various couches and a good amount of outdoor seating available as well. It took a while for our server to come check in with us, but she was super friendly and helpful with the wine selections once she came over. I got a random glass of red wine (they do not serve beer, in case you were wondering!) while my wife tried out a couple of tasters and then picked out a white wine for herself. The wine was pretty tasty and it was definitely a generous portion. After sitting there for a while, we also decided to grab some bread with pesto on the side. It took a sec for it to come out, but it wasn't bad! Nothing extraordinary but I wasn't expecting anything super gourmet, so it was totally fine. Overall, we had a great experience here and I would definitely stop by again on a date night.

We left feeling satisfied and happy to have found a new chill spot to add to our local repertoire. Cheers to your success!

Typically restaurants that have open main dining areas cause a lot of noise which can make it difficult for polite conversation, but I won't knock that against them. Service was pleasant and attentive. The server admitted the kitchen was running behind and gave us a free bread basket and kept our drinks full. The portions were well sized. What prevents this restaurant from being "S Tier" is that there's nothing unique or exceptional about the restaurant. It is exactly what you'd expect but nothing more. Parking was easy with the parking garage nearby. I would certainly return and recommend to others.

I ordered the cast iron seared wagyu picanha steak, medium rare. When it arrived it was definitely rare, not medium rare, but more importantly it was cold. My sense is that this was due to it being frozen beforehand, but I guess it could have just been sitting around for a long time. The asparagus on the side was also unseasoned and undercooked. The chimichurri sauce was decent, but that's the most positive thing I can say about the meal. My wife got the crispy chicken club and it was OK but nothing extraordinary. I did enjoy eating her fries, though :) The service was good and the vibes were chill, but the food was just not up to par. We both ordered a flight of wine and enjoyed the different wines reasonably well. The menu looked amazing and we were super excited. We were sat at the first table right in front of the door and because it is winter time, it was a little bit unfortunate because every time the door opened it was quite cold. The restaurant itself is incredibly cute and intimate, but these first few tables right in front of the door make for a little bit more of a challenging experience in the winter. I think there might've been some sort of miscommunication with the waitstaff, because nobody came to our table and after about 10 minutes, and after seeing a couple who sat after us get there soup before we had had anyone greet us, we flagged down someone who then became our server. The service was great once we got that figured out! We both agreed the lobster bisque and desserts (creme brûlée and chocolate mouse cake) were the start of the show. For the appetizer, I got the whipped burrata and my spouse got the crab cakes. Two of the three crab cakes were unfortunately a bit over charred, which didn't make for the most pleasant experience. The one that was not over charred was very good! My burrata dip/spread was great! My spouse got the sea bass and I got the filet. Both were okay! I had a glass of red wine that was good and I'd be interested in returning for the flights! They gave us roses before leaving which was a really cute and thoughtful touch for Valentine's Day. Overall, a decent experience and I'd be interested in trying again!
