Views are great and service is great! They had some fun seasonal cocktail options and the outdoor bar is almost complete! The portion sizes of the dishes are also very generous and tasty!

This place is beautiful, both inside and out. From the minute you take the elevator up, you feel the upscale ambience and beauty of the restaurant. Definitely step outside during the night and try to come during sunset for some views and pictures. The food was okay. We weren't crazy about the caesar salad or ravioli. However, the pizza was a good appetizer, and the lamb chops were nice and tender. I definitely feel like for a rooftop this beautiful they could've made better seating arrangements than the tables they had. The view is so gorgeous though that I would come back to just sit outside and enjoy a drink and a bite.

Hosted a birthday dinner of 10, the restaurant was very nice and accommodating. The server was new, but she was so nice and asked for extra help to make sure we were attended to the restaurant itself was nice, we went during the summer so it was a big muggy sitting by the doors. Food is amazing. I would not mind returning, especially during the fall or winter.

The food here was expensive and decent but definitely not worth the price. I know you're paying for the view, and I that's great and all but it's not NYC. I was also mad at the chairs we sat in. It was so small that I could barely fit in the seat and I was uncomfortable the whole time. I will say that everyone else's food looked great though! I got the butternut squash risotto with scallops and it was lacking seasoning. Props to the person who made my Shirley temple though, that was gas.

Came here for a friend's birthday dinner, and we had a great time, all was wonderful . The atmosphere and aesthetics of this restaurant were out of this world. The nice interior, plus the rooftop, was amazing! We got to take great pictures on the rooftop while we waited for our food to come out once we ordered. I ordered their lasagna, and it was delicious no complaints there. The service was decent, the drinks took a while to come out, and our server wasn't very attentive to us, which was not great. Overall, the experience was great, the only downside was the service. Other than that, I would recommend this place for the vibes and a night out with friends or family.

This place was extremely aesthetically pleasing! This would be a great place for a cute date night or a night out with the girls. Our server was really helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. The drinks were great and the food was appetizing. The arancini balls were fried good I just wish there was a bit more sauce. I ordered the risotto with scallops and I was disappointed with this dish. It wasn't as seasoned as I would have liked and I wish there were more a few more pieces of the scallops. I did try my sister's salmon and that was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Amazing views at sunset. Wow. If you are heading here please try to be here as the sun is going down. With the clear view to the west (see pic) and the reflective buildings to the east you get a dusk to remember. We did not eat here so no info on the food. The drinks were made perfectly and prices are typical. Our first bartender gets one star. Maybe he was having a bad night. He came to our seats at the bar, he asked about our order but before we could even reply he looked at a piece of paper in his hands and walked away. He never came back to us...but he served others near us. What the what?! Second bartender finally saw us and she was awesome. Professional, courteous, and friendly. Plus the drinks were perfect and served promptly. All in all just a weird experience. Never had a situation where the dude flat out failed like that. The evening ended on a positive note but this feels like La Terrazza turned a five star review into a 1 star memory. Weird.

OMGGGGG! Kevin was our server and was AMAZEBALLS. Seriously, so kind, attentive, and generous to our group! Much love Kevin!!!! Makes the best espresso martinis EVER as well!

Party of 10. Host did a great job. Food and drinks were great although pricier for much of the market in the area. The Sicilian was so pasta heavy. Pls make it a little thinner to balance the sauce. Ambiance inside was good but the lights on our table turned off 30 minutes after we sat down and no one turned it back on even after we told the staff. Server served water but didn't ask us for our drinks. We went to the bar to order. The server also wanted us to start boxing our food even though we were still eating. Picture posted with boxes on the table. Again I had to call his attention. The view outside phenomenal. Three stars but there's lots of potential. I will try go again to see if suggestions here are applied for improvement. I will be updating if I get a better experience.

This is one of my favorite spots in downtown Raleigh! I've been in the summer and winter and had amazing experiences both times. In summer, it was magical to sit outside and have the Raleigh skyline to bask in. In the winter, I brought my large family here to sit inside. We got similarly amazing views sitting in the opulent, glass walled dining area. Getting everyone to agree in my family is tough - but we all agreed that this was the best Italian place! We all ordered different pizza and pasta dishes and we were somehow all abundantly pleased with our selections! In my opinion, the hidden gem on the menu is the lasagna. I would never normally order but it is worth it! As always, I appreciate their professional, fastidious servers!

I booked a reservation for this rooftop restaurant to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. It's overlooking downtown raleigh, so the views and atmosphere were pretty top notch.....except for the fact that the building is across the street from Raleigh Union Train Station. Keep in mind you'll be hearing a train horn every 15-20 minutes if you decide to eat outside. The food was hit-or-miss. On one hand, The Sicilian dish was pretty good, had a nice pesto and pistachio base, just a bit too oily in my opinion. My girlfriend tried to order the ravioli main dish, but the waiter mentioned that they "ran out". She ordered the Tagliatelle, which for all intents and purposes was the most basic pasta dish ever. The sauce was unflavorful, similar to ragu, and there was no salt or seasoning added to the dish whatsoever. We literally had to manually add salt to it because it was that bland. We also ordered The Arancini appetizer dish which are basically these fried risotto balls. They tasted a bit freezer burned and were served with that same unflavorful sauce from the Tagliatelle. The drinks were probably the best part of the dinner, no complaints in that avenue. The chairs are metal and pretty hard to sit on, but that might just be a matter of opinion on my end. The big kicker was that there were COCKROACHES all over the overlook deck. Huge ones too, I tried to get a video of what my girlfriend and I saw so I could prove it, but we decided to just get out of there. Not my favorite experience.

One of the best Italian spots in Raleigh that we've had so far! We attended a friend's birthday dinner and had an amazing time, thanks to both food and company. The appetizers were tasty, lamb chops absolutely delivered, and the desserts were even better than we expected (bombolini was my favorite)! Our servers were helpful but sometimes too quiet for our large table to hear. The ambiance was perfect for celebrating and this is definitely an establishment to visit on special occasion.

Visited on Father's Day with my family of 6. The setting is pretty cool. Nice entry way with access to the roof top deck. The hostesses aren't the friendliest but there were plenty of them. We chose to sit outside and while it was pretty humid it made for a funner experience. It rained off and on, but the windows opened and closed accordingly. The service was good, but nothing great. Unfortunately, I struggled to find something to drink. THEY DO NOT HAVE SWEET TEA. We are in NC. This is the South. No restaurant, no matter the price point, should not have sweet tea. I was told that they have Pepsi products, but that's not exactly true. They have Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, and I was told Sprite, but I pointed out that's a Coke product so she corrected herself that it's Sierra Mist. I wasn't trying to be difficult, but seriously, you don't offer tea, root beer, Mountain Dew...? I tried Ginger Beer, only to be disappointed and settled on Ginger Ale. I was left dehydrated. The apps were the best part of the meal. I recommend the arancini and the polpo. We each tried different pastas. They were fine, but nothing I need to eat again. The desserts looked amazing, but unfortunately looked nicer than they tasted. I didn't taste anything on the menu that I'd return for. It's unfortunate, because I was hoping to refer many others here. Access to the balcony for pics are free. Find somewhere else to eat.

The whipped feta was my favorite, topped with strawberry jam and absolutely delicious. We ended up ordering an extra basket of bread ($7.50) because we ran out quickly. The bulgur salad was hands down the best thing I ate all night. I'll return for that alone and will probably order a second one to-go for lunch the next day. It had some kind of crunchy element that made the texture incredible. For our main, we had the short rib. The flavors were excellent and I can see why it's so highly reviewed. That said, at $48, I'm not sure the portion size justified the price. We each had two relatively small pieces and some vegetables. Drink-wise, I ordered the espresso martini ($18). It was a fantastic espresso martini, one of the better ones I've had, but again, the size made the price feel a little steep. My spouse ordered the Old Fashioned, which was also excellent and came with a nice orange twist. The restaurant itself is very cute inside with great décor and interesting seating areas. The back patio is beautiful, and according to owner Paul (who was incredibly friendly), they're opening a boat bar and outdoor kitchen, which sounds like it will make the space even better! The only reason I didn't rate the ambiance higher was that it felt a little warm inside during our visit. However, it sounded like they were dealing with a power-related issue, and with the unusually hot weather we've been having, I suspect the older building was having a hard time keeping up. It wouldn't keep me from returning, but I'd probably wait until the fall just in case. I worry as it gets hotter this summer it may always be a little warm. Our total for two people, an appetizer, salad, entrée, and two alcoholic drinks, was about $140 including tax, plus a 3% credit card surcharge (before tip). I'll definitely be back for the bulgur salad and to check out the outdoor space this fall! A boat bar sounds so cool! Parking: Street parking, a small side lot, or neighboring business lots after 5 PM!

We dined at their lovely bar back in the first months of their opening, and it was good. We had met the general manager, Red, and were impressed with the flavors of our one appetizer, Calabrian Chicken, yet we never rushed back. Now, we feel compelled to return ASAP to enjoy these exceptional flavors, fabulous teamwork system of service, and a comfortable chic atmosphere. The place was happening at 5:45 pm on our recent dining night out with friends. Grateful to have a reservation we were seated at a very comfortable banquette type of seating. It felt like dining in a friend's home. Our server, William, is excellent at his job. Very efficient, great input on food choices, and quite personable. The meal started off with a burst of flavor as we enjoyed their fairly new offering of a ceviche called Eye of the Tiger that featured a sauce you can never get enough of. Wish their bread service was a bit more inspired, but the Le Farm bread did soak up some of the various sauces sent out from a very inspired kitchen team. Food runners help make certain the tapas come out fresh and hot when needed. They are a friendly group of hospitality workers who seem to genuinely enjoy their work and treat their guests with sincere appreciation. It all starts at the top, and GM Red is a personable and sound leader. We loved the Chef's pasta, our octopus dish was stellar, the Calabrian Chicken almost stole the show, but the unctuous flavors on the plate of the Seared Halloumi was hands down my favorite. I love how this culinary team can crank out such outstanding flavors table to table and patron to patron without missing a beat. The energy in the room must feed their souls & for that we are grateful. Lastly I wish to mention the thoughtfully curated wine list where my husband discovered a treasure of a wine from the Familia Torres brand. It was exquisite and paired perfectly with Madre's flavors. We ordered 12 and thought maybe it was a fluke but all 12 were completely inedible and we threw them out immediately. The baklava was okay, nothing to write home about. Very simple syrup forward and you couldn't taste much else (we ordered the walnut). The namoora was stale. Very dry. Namoora should melt in your mouth with with a slight chew. This was again, tough and stale. We threw those out as well. Lastly, our favorite salad, tabbouli. The lemon taste was nonexistent. The parsley wasn't chopped fine as Tabbouli should be. It was frustrating because that's one of the main dishes people go there for. What really stopped me from giving this place a higher rating was the condition of the men's bathroom. It was pretty gross, with visible mold and a wet towel on the floor that looked like it was there because of a leaking toilet. A lot of people say the bathroom reflects how clean the restaurant is overall, and honestly that crossed my mind while eating there. His service was greatly appreciated as all of us wanted to make it somewhere to watch The Canes game! He was efficient with opening the wine and getting our dinner orders in right away. Thank you Diondre for a great start to our evening. All of us raved over our food. Two of our friends had the Tomahawk Pork Chop featuring spinach, barrel-aged feta, herb aioli, and yummy Greek lemon potatoes. Both people agreed the kitchen team cooked them perfectly. One person absolutely loved his fire-roasted lamb chops that also had the delicious Greek lemon potatoes. Another one of our friends loved her Chicken penne Mykonos which we have ordered to-go many times. It looks even better in the restaurant as it has spinach, feta, mushrooms, tomatoes, white wine lemon cream sauce, and parmesan. This dish is a must try when you visit Taverna Agora in downtown Raleigh. Lastly, someone at the table exclaimed that their grilled salmon was one of the best salmon dishes he had ever enjoyed as its unique presentation features pickled beetroot, sautéed spinach, and a lemon caper sauce. I had the Poseidon Branzino which was fabulous. The dish had roasted branzino, medley of sautéed cherry tomatoes and onions, fresh herb rice, and skordalia (I had to look up what that is - a fascinating Greek garlic puree). The blending of all those flavors made for a scrumptious dinner, and thanks to the kitchen team for preparing it perfectly so that I could even eat the skin of the fish. We shared two bottles of Assyrtiko wine which is one of our favorite Greek wines after visiting Greece a few years ago. The wine list at Taverna is simple but thorough and fun to experiment with. Great job Taverna Team!

The weather was amazing, and we really enjoyed sitting up there. Surprisingly, we've been frequenting the area and had never noticed this restaurant before--what a miss! I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here. We started with the sun-dried tomato hummus. While I'm more of a traditional hummus fan and wish they offered a regular version, I still enjoyed it, and the fresh pita was absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the lamb chops with roasted potatoes and substituted fries for the vegetables. Everything was excellent. The lamb was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. At around $40, it was a bit pricey, but lamb isn't cheap these days and, honestly, most dining out isn't either. Fortunately, the portion was generous and well worth it. I took nearly half of it home and enjoyed it again for lunch the next day. Overall, the restaurant is beautiful, the service was good, and the food was delicious. It's hard to ask for much more than that. I'd definitely come back.

I usually order the two chicken skewer kabobs with rice, a super salad, and the jalapeño cilantro hummus. The hummus is *so* good that I often grab a small container to take with me when I travel. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients, especially with olive oil as a base. They offer both fresh pita and gluten-free pita, which is great for anyone with dietary restrictions. Honestly, I could make a meal just out of all the sides--they're that good. The menu is consistently solid, and I feel like you really can't go wrong with anything you order. It's a perfect spot for a low-key lunch or dinner. Also worth noting: on Tuesdays, kids eat free with a paying adult, which is a great bonus for families. Highly recommend!

The portions are very generous, so if you can't finish your meal, it's easy to take the leftovers home. They conveniently provide to-go containers and bags for customers. One thing I found a bit challenging was the ordering process. There is a huge selection of food, which can be overwhelming for first-time visitors. I would have appreciated a little more guidance from the staff when making my choices, as I think it would have helped me order more confidently. Overall, it's a good place with plenty of options and great portion sizes.
