    1 Dozen of Garlic Knots
    Hayley P.

Gosh, I absolutely love this place. We've been twice now both times with a large group. Last night we went with a group of 40 people. We had let the staff know ahead of time how many were in our party and I can't say enough good things about how well-prepared they were. We were sat quickly, got our waters and drinks, and they did everything in their power to get our food out as quickly as possible. They did not stop moving the entire two hours we were there. The staff at this place is absolutely amazing. Now, onto the food. They have both an Italian and Uzbek menu. I got the garlic knots, a side salad, and the steak kabobs, and my partner got a side salad and the lasagna. We both were very happy with our food. I really love the garlic knots here. In total we paid a little over $50, which included tip. An amazing experience beginning to end.

We get 3 Olives Pizza quite often so I was excited to try Karavan and I was not disappointed! The surprise performance was the butternut squash Samsa. Light, flaky pastry with a delicious butternut squash filling. I had my first but definitely not last Khachapuri. The cheese.... So much delicious melty cheese... The waiter was kind and patient as we navigated the menu and ordered way more food than we could eat. They did a pretty good job making you feel like you weren't in a strip mall restaurant. Good sized booth and table to accommodate our over eager ordering There are several more dishes I am excited to try so I see a return trip in my future!

We are wanting to try new things so went to try their Uzbek menu. The place wasn't crowded but should have been. We decided to order a variety of apps and share an entree. We had Butternut Squash Samsas, Bamaza Eggplant (crispy fried eggplant with drizzled balsamic glaze), Non (a crispy sesame bread), Potatoes po Domashni (crispy potatoes with mushrooms and a yogurt sauce), and Fried Lagman (a pasta dish). Every dish was piping hot and so flavorful and good. It's out of my way in Garner but I will definitely be directing friends there and will be back. The restaurant also serves pizza and Italian food.

We were in the area and were looking for an Eastern European restaurant and found this place that serves traditional uzbek and italian food. Uzbek dishes were so delicious. Highly recommend it.

Karavan by 3 Olives is one of my favorite local spots in Garner! Host AZ makes sure all guests are greeted warmly on arrival and he's a great help when it comes to ordering! Whenever I visit, plov and steamed manti are my staples. This visit I also got fried lagman, which was great. The beauty of this restaurant is there's a ton of Uzbek and Italian food to try and love, the service is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed, family friendly, and great for groups!

Overall, the food was decent. The lagman had a soothing feeling and the flatbread complimented the noodle soup.

Karavan is located in a shopping center in Garner. The restaurant is casual. The food is amazing here but the service leaves something to be desired. We were seated promptly, brought menus, then about 30 seconds later wanted to take the orders. the menu is half Uzbekistan food and half Italian depending what you are in the mood for. When I did order non, I was told that was bread. I'm not sure why she thought I'd just get an entree. So I explained I wanted an appetizer. Then I ordered the eggplant after seeing the rave reviews. For my entree I went with the steak kebab and did the veggies and rice for the sides. The eggplant portion was very generous so most of that was taken to go. I liked that it was in chunks and the flavoring was delicious. The steak kebab was also good size and I would have finished it there but sensed they wanted us to leave. I'd eat here again but would order to go next time to avoid the service issues.

I thought all the food and the service was amazing. The khachapuri was cheesy garlicky deliciousness. The lamb kebab was great. I also liked the manti, especially the fried ones. They came with great sour cream and tomato dipping sauces. The honey cake was perfectly layered and creamy sweetness.

The food was so amazing and authentic! The portions were huge and came out very quickly. Service was very quick and friendly. It's an interesting mixture of Italian and Uzbek food. Highly recommend!

Barak-- really good I loved the fried ones

Barak Dumplings - the fried ones were best in my opinion, the whole table enjoyed them Alfredo pizza- this was the winner of the night! So good you have to try Steak kebabs- usually better, it was a bit undercooked I asked for medium and some pieces were super pink and it had a lot of fat on it The mashed potatoes were not good, I do not like the rice here either. I would opt for the veggies (so fresh & tasty) or the fries. I'd give this place a 3.5/5 stars

Wherever I am, I usually try to support local mom and pop restaurants and usually, it's a pleasant surprise! Karavan by 3 Olives is one of those types of spots, a Uzbeki restaurant in what is a more standard, Italian-American pizza spot. I had come here for a takeout pizza during the pandemic but decided a return visit was needed. Karavan probably does more of a take-out, delivery business but they've got a fairly large (and quiet) dining room decked out in slightly central Asian (I'm guessing) decor. The Uzbeki menu on the back on their pizza menu and covers starters, soups, entrees and kebabs, maybe 20 or so items? I have no idea what I'm ordering so I get some fried barak and chicken kebabs with veggies and rice. The barak are delicious, like beef fried wontons and served with a tomato dipping sauce. And the kebabs come out super hot, chicken thighs with grilled veggies and a toothsome rice pilaf. It's all delicious and I'm already looking forward to trying more off the menu. And while I don't know Uzbeki eats well, I know what Karavan serves up is pretty delish. If you're in the area (Garner Station) stop on by and dine at this hidden gem. I've even tried the pizza and that's pretty darn good, too!

    Ohhh it only gets better!!

The service was wonderful! Victoria was the best waitress EVER! I loved the new menu options!! I loved Mediterranean food and absolutely loved the new food. I don't think like cilantro and the plov has cilantro the only reason for 4 stars. I wish they would have included that but everything else was wonderful. Bathroom nice and clean, plenty of parking would def be back

The pumpkin arancini is a stroke of genius and should be the first thing you order! I had the sea bass (catch of the day) also unique, with olives and blistered tomatoes. Light, perfectly done & flavorful: exquisite. The ravioli with boar meat is an option too interesting to pass up, and it did not disappoint. The cocktail selection was solid- I was especially pleased to see a nod to classic cocktails that were expertly done. The wine list is unusual. When we inquired about it, the waiter said the owners of the restaurant, both sommeliers, continue to develop their list based on what is available due to tariffs and the related challenges with sourcing. So, for an Italian restaurant offering wine selections from Turkey and Chile, there were big shoes to fill, and the wines were lovely- for each dish we ordered. Cannoli for dessert (1?) was delicious. Next time we hope to try the key lime panna cota or other offerings, they looked straightforward on the menu, but I am certain they will be a post-dinner delight that reflects the thoughtfulness of the rest of the menu.

Tiramisu was also more flavor than sweet which is what we love. Waiter was very attentive and helpful in suggesting dishes. First of all, I implore anyone wanting to go, make reservations during peak hours! We entered through a big heavy wooden door into the quasi-dark atmosphere and were promptly seated, despite most of the tables being occupied. We were given a two top and started with chips and guacamole. I was impressed with the chips, they were a little extra thick, had tiny bubbles in them. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. Noah did a good job keeping our water glasses full and he was quite friendly. However, the restroom situation is a bit difficult. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. Granted, since there isn't much space in the restaurant, it's not as if they have a ton of options.

The Radiatore small pasta was delicious and satisfying while just the right size for lunch, adding chicken for a protein boost. My friend enjoyed the Chicken Parm Sando and Kardashian Chopped Salad. Good service in a surprisingly well decorated atmosphere, I would come back to Flour & Barrel for more Italian goodness! The Deets: I wanted to catch up with a friend over a weekday lunch and we scoped out Flour & Barrel in DTR to do just that. When entering in from the pretty nondescript exterior/entrance on the corner of North and Harrington Streets, it becomes a colorful well decorated bistro/bar type feeling inside which is welcoming. We were shown to our table next to one of the wide windows facing North St, I liked this table with lots of natural light and yes, I am a people watcher as well. The server took our drink orders and asked if we had any questions about the menu. The lunch menu is pretty succinct but well represented, offering focaccia sandwiches (sandos), small pastas (pasta handmade in-house), and salads. It also has a wine and craft beer selection also if needed. My friend went with the Chicken Parmesan Focaccia Sando (has pomodoro, mozzarella, and basil) with Kardashian Chopped Salad (made with romaine, salami, provolone, piquillo peppers, artichoke, and garbanzo) for a side while I chose the Radiatore small pasta selection. The Radiatore is described on the menu as "our version of carbonara but creamier / guanciale / egg" so naturally it caught my eye. I am usually pretty cut and dry about wanting carbonara to be the traditional type but since they stated upfront that this is their version, I was willing to give it a go. I am glad I did, as this pasta dish was great. The serving was the perfect size for lunch, plus I was able to add chicken to it as well. The sauce was creamy and delicious, going well with the al dente pasta. This meal was most satisfying and I would love to get this one again in the future. My friend really enjoyed the sando so much, he had originally planned to eat half and take the other half home...that didn't work out the way he planned as he devoured the whole sandwich there, it was that good. He also enjoyed the salad as well. Our server did well checking on us and making sure we had what we needed.
