Came here after day drinking for a cheap but satisfying bite. This is your typical "dive bar" aesthetic pizza parlor. Pizza was ready fairly quick and the dipping sauce for the pizza was fantastic--reminds me of papa John's a bit. I was very excited that they had Diet Cream Soda--I didn't know this existed. $5 a slice but for the size, this is a great price. I thought it was solid for the type of place--open fairly late too.

Good service and tasty pizza portion size was amazing it's basically 2 slices in one. Definitely a go to spot if your bar hopping and need to feed the liquor you have consumed.

I came here with my mom and my daughter. The service was great it was fast. The food was very hot. The slices are gigantic. The pizzas are thin so if you like thin pizza, this will be your place. they do have bathrooms for customers, which can be a little bit more clean but overall it was a great shop they have seating inside and outside cheese slice are 5 and basically every other piece is 6.50 the Joe mango lemonade was very good I didn't get a picture sadly and my mom had the Joe half and half tea and lemonade she said it was delicious will be back

Never have I ever continued to talk about a place as much as I've talked about Benny Capitale's. After a recommendation from a bartender, we walked in, late at night, and left quickly with a giant piece of amazing pizza. They had a variety of toppings (parm, red pepper, and basalmic) and pizza slices that are ready to go. Service was quick, kind, and the place was easy to find. If you're looking for late night pizza, Benny Capitale's is the place in Raleigh.

If you're craving a late night snack after a long night of drinking in Downtown Raleigh then Bennys got you covered. They are known for their ginormous slices of pizza and are open late. I always end up going to Bennys late night after being out with friends having a couple of drinks. The pizza itself is not out of the world but it gets the job done for a late night meal.

Massive slices of pizza with a crispy and relatively thin crust. IMO, you're best served by purchasing by the slice. A single slice should suffice. Two slices will certainly satisfy any hunger. As with any pizza, dine in is also recommended. With that beingbdaid and should you choose to takeout, their largest pizza 28" ranging from $36 - $42 dollars. Dining room is fairly small but should seat about 20. There's also a cooler or two near the register with assorted beverages. You can also dine outside on the sidewalk.

    Pizza was fresh and delish!!!!!!

This place was amazing! Such great pizza! Reminds me of some of the of the pizza I used to have when I lived in New York City! Customer service was great they were very friendly! Joshua is awesome! My friend had the sausage pizza and I had the mushroom garlic pizza. One slice was definitely enough! They do sell really huge pizzas as well! The art inside is pretty cool and different too. Good location right downtown. Next time I am here I will definitely get another slice!

It was very busy after Dreamville Festival but they moved efficiently and we got our pizza in a reasonable wait time considering how many people they had to serve. It was inexpensive for a huge slice ($5 for cheese, $6 for pepperoni). It was really great quality that tasted amazing: not too saucy, very cheesy that goes to the top of the crust, and good amount of pepperoni. It was a very satisfying late night option.

    It was so good!

The pizza was so good and hot and cheesy and fresh. It was huge and I only ate half. The place is a dive, like a real serious dive. It's not the cleanest and the service isn't the best but it's a manage your expectations kind of spot. You're getting greasy after the bar pizza at cheap prices. It's a Raleigh staple, so at least try it once.

The pumpkin arancini is a stroke of genius and should be the first thing you order! I had the sea bass (catch of the day) also unique, with olives and blistered tomatoes. Light, perfectly done & flavorful: exquisite. The ravioli with boar meat is an option too interesting to pass up, and it did not disappoint. The cocktail selection was solid- I was especially pleased to see a nod to classic cocktails that were expertly done. The wine list is unusual. When we inquired about it, the waiter said the owners of the restaurant, both sommeliers, continue to develop their list based on what is available due to tariffs and the related challenges with sourcing. So, for an Italian restaurant offering wine selections from Turkey and Chile, there were big shoes to fill, and the wines were lovely- for each dish we ordered. Cannoli for dessert (1?) was delicious. Next time we hope to try the key lime panna cota or other offerings, they looked straightforward on the menu, but I am certain they will be a post-dinner delight that reflects the thoughtfulness of the rest of the menu.

Butter chicken was very scrumptious though my son was not so hot about the arugula side. Eggplant parm was really good - the smoked mozzarella really made it luscious. We also tried pork chop and it was not bad should probably try the flank steak instead. I had chocolate cannoli- the cream was rich but not overly sweet - very nice. Tiramisu was also more flavor than sweet which is what we love. Waiter was very attentive and helpful in suggesting dishes. Overall - if I don't count the mishap on seating - it was a good experience.

If your going to charge me $30 for literally 6-7 tiny little ravioli, at least indicate in SOME way that I'm getting a little appetizer portion and not an actual pasta dish that would serve as a meal. Granted, they were friggin delicious, but come on... I really liked almost all the food here and I want to give it a better rating but there are issues here that will not allow it. Bring down the cost and/or improve portion size and stop charging ME for the cost to run YOUR business and maybe we'd be having a different convo...

First of all, I implore anyone wanting to go, make reservations during peak hours! We entered through a big heavy wooden door into the quasi-dark atmosphere and were promptly seated, despite most of the tables being occupied. We were given a two top and started with chips and guacamole. I was impressed with the chips, they were a little extra thick, had tiny bubbles in them. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. Noah did a good job keeping our water glasses full and he was quite friendly. However, the restroom situation is a bit difficult. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. Granted, since there isn't much space in the restaurant, it's not as if they have a ton of options.

Everything except the caesar was good. I guess we didn't expect the caesar to taste THAT charred and the lettuce to not be chopped. The Radiatore small pasta was delicious and satisfying while just the right size for lunch, adding chicken for a protein boost. My friend enjoyed the Chicken Parm Sando and Kardashian Chopped Salad. Good service in a surprisingly well decorated atmosphere, I would come back to Flour & Barrel for more Italian goodness! The Deets: I wanted to catch up with a friend over a weekday lunch and we scoped out Flour & Barrel in DTR to do just that. When entering in from the pretty nondescript exterior/entrance on the corner of North and Harrington Streets, it becomes a colorful well decorated bistro/bar type feeling inside which is welcoming. We were shown to our table next to one of the wide windows facing North St, I liked this table with lots of natural light and yes, I am a people watcher as well. The server took our drink orders and asked if we had any questions about the menu. The lunch menu is pretty succinct but well represented, offering focaccia sandwiches (sandos), small pastas (pasta handmade in-house), and salads. It also has a wine and craft beer selection also if needed. My friend went with the Chicken Parmesan Focaccia Sando (has pomodoro, mozzarella, and basil) with Kardashian Chopped Salad (made with romaine, salami, provolone, piquillo peppers, artichoke, and garbanzo) for a side while I chose the Radiatore small pasta selection. The Radiatore is described on the menu as "our version of carbonara but creamier / guanciale / egg" so naturally it caught my eye. I am usually pretty cut and dry about wanting carbonara to be the traditional type but since they stated upfront that this is their version, I was willing to give it a go. I am glad I did, as this pasta dish was great. The serving was the perfect size for lunch, plus I was able to add chicken to it as well. The sauce was creamy and delicious, going well with the al dente pasta. This meal was most satisfying and I would love to get this one again in the future. My friend really enjoyed the sando so much, he had originally planned to eat half and take the other half home...that didn't work out the way he planned as he devoured the whole sandwich there, it was that good. He also enjoyed the salad as well. Our server did well checking on us and making sure we had what we needed. I am so glad we decided to try out Flour & Barrel for lunch, it worked out perfectly and was a very enjoyable meal.
