We went to grab a slice and a soda. The menu stated that this was available but when we tried to order the chef/owner/server was very rude and told us they only sold whole pizzas. When we asked why it was still on the menu he was very dismissive and just told us he hadn't changed the sign yet. Will never go back. Very rude staff. read more

I ordered a Chefs salad and a pizza (half cheese, half sausage and black olive). The Chefs salad had generous toppings. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing just tasted like vinegar (1 star). The pizza was cooked well, firm crust without much flop (held the toppings well), edges were crispy. The sauce had a sweet tomato flavor, not a lot of seasoning. My calzone didn't have ricotta cheese. I call this a Stromboli when it's missing the ricotta cheese. I rate this 9/10 bc of this. Otherwise it was tasty and I was hungry. I will not order a calzone from here again. read more

This place is not too bad if Blaze is not open in Garner. However La Roma Pizza is just kind of average at best, it reminds me of Digiorno, but with more bland sauce. It's a C- pizza. My Triangle Pizza Tour suggestions If you are from New York or California and want some great big oily foldable pizza try NY Brooklyn Slices, Vic's Pizza, or Randy's in Raleigh, or J & S pizza in Apex will taste like home. If you are from Connecticut/ New Haven and miss the complex flavors of that style of pie or want to eat pizza at a romantic place then Bella Monica in Raleigh is your place. On Tuesdays Bella Monica has an incredible white lasagna (Béchamel based sauce). Al Dente! For other Pizza variations like think Sicilian (Sicilian sfincione) or Panzerotti style (super meat filled) pizza then I suggest NY Brooklyn Slices, or J & S. Also NY Brooklyn style also has Grandma style pizza. For my friends that love Chicago a deep dish style Nancy's on Creedmore Rd in Raleigh is your place. read more

Decided to check La Roma Pizza out on Friday for dinner after visiting The Beerded Lady. Likes: Delicious pizza, Mom and I split a 13" half Supreme & half Hawaiian pizza and a small garden salad with ranch dressing. My favorite was the Supreme, the ingredients were fresh and it tasted so good. They serve draft beer, Mom got a Yuengling while I got a Brooklyn Summer Ale. They also have Pepsi products, I am more of a Coca-Cola fan myself. They have a cute purse holder in the women's bathroom. They offer the option of calling in your order or ordering online. Dislikes: Ranch was a bit thick. Women's bathroom would not flush, the handle was broken. I wish there was a sign on the door facing 5th Avenue to use the door located around back. I will definitely be ordering from here again! read more

Not much to look at from the outside, but inside is filled with great pizza and very friendly staff. The atmosphere isn't amazing, which is reflected in the prices. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality pizza that we got. The place was clean, it wasn't loud, plenty of seating. This is my favorite pizza place in garner for sure. read more

We have used La Roma for some time as their pizza is very good. However on our take out order tonight, we asked to order and pay for extra meat toppings and the toppings to go further to the edge, as we have done MANY times with no issue. But tonight the owner was there and told my husband that we shouldn't order that way. He said his pizza was art, he has been doing this for 27 years, and to do what we were asking would totally mess up the crust. Even though we've done this before with no problem. He argued with my husband over the way we ordered our pizzas. He was very rude and condescending. We will never order here again. We just wanted our pizza the way we wanted our pizza. To get confronted aggressively when just placing a pizza order is ridiculous. Life is way too short. No thanks La Roma - get a grip. The last thing people want at the end of a long day is to be harangued about their pizza order. read more

Funny thing, I don't think I've even tried their pizza. But I have gotten the manicotti, ziti and the chicken alfredo. All of these are excellent, reasonably priced and service is good. Maybe we'll get pizza the next time! read more

Best pizza and crust in Garner. Much better than the big guys. Only drawback is they have moved to using delivery services vs using their own drivers, which means the pizza will likely be cold when you get it. I understand why the change was made given how hard it is to keep and pay drivers, so I always just take out. read more

Not terrible, but not good. We tried this for the first time and it took an hour and 20 min for delivery on a Thursday night - I called at 7pm. We got a meat lovers pizza and cheese sticks. This is the blandest pizza I've ever had. The crust and sauce have no flavor or spice. The cheesesticks seriously taste like cardboard and are dry. This order was over $30 and this is definitely not worth that. Won't be back ! read more

We stopped by on our way to a friend's house and honestly didn't have many expectations. We were honestly blown away by how good the pizza and wings were. La Roma Pizza took me by surprise. I moved to the area 6 years ago and had been ordering from the big chain giants for my pizza needs. I got bored of ordering from them one day and decided to try La Roma Pizza. To say the least I was blown away. The pizza was simply delicious. The pepperoni and Ham pizza were simple and tasted so fresh. The pizza itself wasn't smothered with pizza sauce and oil. Rather it was clean and delicious tasting. The cheese was just the right amount of perfect. The BBQ wings were delicious. I haven't had a good slice of pizza this good in a very long time. The restaurant is family owned by Italians so pizza is the speciality. La Roma is without a doubt a great pizza joint for people wanting to try great savory food. read more

I have been calling this business for the last 2 days to voice a formal complaint, but no one answers the phone and there is not an option to leave a message. I'm hoping this review will get their attention. I placed a large order two days in advance online, for a party we were hosting. The food was scheduled to arrive at 12:45; however, it NEVER showed up. I called them several times between 12:55 and 2:30, only to be continuously told that, "it was picked up by the driver". After well over an hour, and listening to complaints from several hungry children, we finally requested an employee, by the name of Mark, to try to call or make some sort of contact with the driver, to figure out what went awry. We were met with hesitation and directed to contact the service, "Slice", whom La Roma contracts out for delivery services. Contacting "Slice" got us nowhere, as their app did not provide updates and they did not answer their phone. After much frustration, we finally convinced La Roma to re-create our order and allow US to pick it up in person. After being met with resistance, he agreed to our request. I reluctantly had to leave the party I was hosting, (thankfully with several adults to watch the children) to pick up the pizza/garlic knots. We finally were able to feed our guests lunch at 2:45. We were not offered any kind of refund and were told, "it's just been an awful Sunday". I whole-heartedly believe that we deserve a refund or at the very least an apology; however, at this point, I will just take a reimbursement of the "delivery fee" and tip, as the contracted driver certainly does not deserve it. I would not recommend purchasing a "delivery" of any sort from this restaurant, as they do not hold themselves accountable for mistakes or provide any attempt at all the remedy bad situations. Perhaps I'd reconsider if in fact they utilized their "own" drivers and told "slice" to take a hike! I truly hope to hear back from a manager at this establishment, so I do not have to continue to call , without any answer.... read more

Came here for the first time today after moving in the area, the boy at the front counter was very friendly. Pizza crust is non flavorful, sauce has no spunk. Greek salad was pretty good, garlic knots were still doughy and needed to be cooked some more. Needless to say sorry we are not going to return. No wonder why they're not busy. read more

I ordered a sausage calzone. When it came out it looked great(That's why I took the picture). The outside crust was just the way I like it golden tan and crispy. Once I cut into it I was very disappointed. The sausage and cheese were luke warm. The dipping sauce was warmer than the inside of the calzone. I think it is the oven they are using. It's great for the pizzas but not made for calzones. "If" I go back, I would only get pizza. read more
