If you ordered cake around 8pm on 5/18, I'm sorry. I don't write reviews but I had to. I ordered from this restaurant online for pickup. I walked in and waited for a bit. I noticed a short older guy in the kitchen coughing and sneezing. This guy had no gloves on and I watched him rub his nose and package up a slice of cake. Disgusting! I asked the tall younger guy at the counter about it and he replied "That guy doesn't work here, he's just the driver" so why is he in the kitchen preparing food without gloves ? I've just ordered an extra large pepperoni pizza today. I was very disappointed with it. The crust reminds me of what you will get with a frozen pizza from a grocery store. There was very little cheese, very little flavor . I had gotten one from there last December then it was really good. Cappella's calzones are superb !!! I have been disappointed with the local pizza chains for about two years now , pizza not done, pizza doughy, pizza not good etc. etc. etc. I have not had a bad calzone from cappella's yet these things are on point every time I had to stop eating it before I consumed the whole thing a one sitting lol ! Pizza by the slice was equivalent to Hunt Brothers Pizza at the gas stations. From other reviews, it sounds like maybe their pasta is better. I tried a calzone a couple weeks ago and it was missing the ricotta which to me is 50% of what makes it a calzone. Try it yourself but do it with caution and limited expectations. read more

Today was the first time I tried this place. I received a flyer in the mail with the menu and specials and it did not disappoint! It was delicious! From the time that I spoke with the girl to place my order for pick up, was very sweet, to the time my coworker picked up our food, the whole experience was fantastic and we will definitely be having lunch from there again. Why ruin a good thing. Ordered the Chicken Parm with meat sauce, which I've ordered plenty of times. The Chicken was Ok but the meat sauce was terrible. They just cooked up some ground beef with peppers and onions tossed the greasy mess on top of the pasta then put Marinara sauce on top. Why the change? If they are reading this here's a great meat sauce recipe, 5 pounds 80/20 ground beef, 1/4 cup olive oil, 1 large onion diced, 1 large carrot diced small, 1/4 cup oregano, 1/4 cup dried parsley, 1/4 cup dried Basil, 1 tablespoon fennel seed, 1 cup red wine, 4 cloves garlic crushed, 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 cup butter, 1 #10 can crushed tomatoes, 1#10 can Hunts tomato Sauce, 1 small can tomato paste. Cook beef in olive oil and salt breaking up in little pieces, remove from pot with slotted spoon, in pot add onion, carrot sauté for ten minutes, put beef in with garlic bring up to hot add wine and reduce wine by half, add spices cook for 5 minutes to bloom spices add tomato products and butter simmer for 1hour. That is how to make a meat sauce. I'm a retired Italian Chef with 35 years experience and a bit tired of Italian Restaurants that don't know a thing about Italian cooking. read more

I had not been in the place for a few years but liked their pizza from then and I want to support local when I can. I guess I discovered that it seems that they are a bit lax with their food handling policies. While i waited for my order, i observed four people working. Two prepping/making pizza and food, one taking pizza from oven, one working cash register. One worker making pizza has no mask and on top of that is using their cell phone in between pulling handfuls of cheese and toppings for pizzas. They are pulling the phone from their coat pocket, and pressing screen and going right back to building pizzas. Cashier is not wearing mask correctly and is handling food to help out. I asked if owner was in the back and was told one of the two working the pizza prep table was the owner. One pizza had mask. Regardless the owner was standing there, so I decided not to discuss with them since they were participating in the bad practice. read more

I took my wife there and got a slice as well as a chicken Parmesan sub. She got 2 slices and a drink. When I say the pizza was excellent that is a understatement. The sand which was also exceptional. Now the last thing that rounds it up to a five is the service we received. I watched the guy at the from serve everyone their food with manners while cooking ours. A friend and i ordered take-out from this place and let me just say ,it's not the worst i have ever had but definitely not the best. We got a medium pizza and a "gyro on pita" which was not that great, the lamb and beef was kinda dry and didn't have too much flavor. but the pizza(Beef and olive) was good and helped make up for the gyro's lack of flavor. They do deliver and make pretty good time, i had my food about 20 Min's after ordering. there staff and drivers are super friendly and most of the time will have your order to you in a timely fashion. I have never been treated so rudely by a restaurant. Our last delivery order was incorrect and when I called they said we would get a free pizza on our next order because of their mistake. When I called to order today and mentioned the free pizza to the lady, she put me on hold for 20 minutes, then said she spoke with her manager and I wasn't telling the truth about the free pizza. I've both visited and gotten plenty of delivery from here for years. First and foremost, if you don't get anything else, get the garlic knots! They are golden brown swimming in garlic butter and served with sauce. If you have a cardiac event while eating them, you will die with a buttery smile on your face. Now, on to other things. All things with dough are good. Pizza, calzones, and strombolis. It's nice and crusty where it needs to be and soft and flaky everywhere else. The sauce is decent. The extras are good as well. The pasta tends to be overcooked, which is really unfortunate for the parmigiana dishes. This has been a consistent over time. Nothing a shorter cook time or a cold bath to the pasta wouldn't fix. The salads are always fresh. The Greek salad is the best. It's large with feta, pitted calamatas, tomato, cucumber, white onion, and pepperoncini on a huge bed of romaine lettuce. The Greek dressing is prepackaged, not made in store but it's good enough. The restaurant is in a strip mall between a grocer and the gym. (Sadly, most of my in-store visits have been after going to the gym). It is a little small and could use a coat of paint and a little refresher on the interior, but it's clean. The staff tends to consist of the owner and the rest teenagers. So the service can be hit or miss. If you get lucky, you can get some really nice people and have an overall good experience. read more

This place is one of the slowest pizza places I've seen. I called a order on and went to grocery store and also walked around grocery story for a while and still had to wait for pizza to be done.
