Every month we go to a different pizzeria in the area and rate their pizza. Salvio's is definitely at the top of our list so far. The pizza crust was perfect, it didn't fold and loose its cheese like others. The cheese was perfect not too much and not too little. The sauce delicious!! There is plenty of seating, the restaurant is clean and the service was awesome. Tony the owner and his gf were super nice and accommodating. My grandson had the chicken, bacon, ranch slice and he said it was his favorite pizza. We also tried the pepperoni which had honey on it. The pepperoni was crunchy the way I like it. My family and I tried to dine at salvios on Father's Day. They were offering a promotion for a few free slices for dad and kids. we arrived and asked if they had a high chair which we needed for our toddler. They did not, so we changed our dine in to to go. Which should have been fine because no where in the email did it state that the promotion was for dine in only. we ordered a few other things besides the slices and when the cashier gave us the total it was clearly not including the promotion, when I asked about it she said that it was for dine in only, I tried to show her the email and she wasn't interested and just said it didn't matter it's for dine in only. Even though the reason we couldn't dine in was because they didn't offer a high chair. We had a hungry toddler with us so we didn't exactly have the time for back and forth so we ended up leaving. I was contacted by someone who I assume is the owner and was told "the employees have been talked to, have a good night". I explained the whole situation again and was given the same response. Then I was going to eat my slice inside the restaurant but they said the dining room was closed. Ok. Fine. I'll go eat outside. Wanted to refill my drink cup but they had locked everything ip tight. After banging on the door somebody finally opened up. I asked if I could get a refill really quick and they told me no. This was at 8:15. The sign on the door (and here on Yelp) says they close at 8:30. If you want to order here just don't go after 7:00 pm that way you can get a refill and maybe more pepperoni's on your pizza. read more

Remembering how good it was years ago when I tried it, I then opted to get a couple of slices for lunch one Monday. I'll not say I'm a NY pizza guru or expert, but I do know what I like. The pizza by the slice here is great stuff. The toppings taste great and they have a good array of them to custom make your slices to your liking. Once the slices are custom made to order they go to the oven and this part is what I like...they come out with a good crisp crust after their time in the oven (not overdone or burnt). I just do not like floppy flimsy pizza crust at any time. This crust is a good firm crunch as well as the toppings tasting just right. I enjoyed my couple of slices, they are definitely on my list for one of the best pizza by the slice places I can recommend. First time review here. Brooklyn Boy's was closed, so we decided to give this place a go. Based on a high Yelp score I had reasonable high hopes, but was let down. Arrived a bit after 11am on a Wed. Utterly annoyed that it took close to 25 minutes for the pizzas to be served! Granted they appeared to be getting busier as we waited, but still it kind of defeated the whole purpose of getting in/out quickly. Pizza finally arrived. Presentation was nice. Neopolitan slices appear to be larger than average, and ultra thin which got me all kinds of excited. They were slightly over-warmed, perhaps they sat too long in the oven, and therefore they were a bit harder on the cardboard scale. Overall, the dough was on the bland side, and the pepperoni topping was just slightly warmed, and not crispier as I would have hoped, considering I spent this as a valuable cheat meal. Anyways, overall, I would say Meh. I've experienced better. Then again, I'm from NY, so the bar on my expectations are set unusually high. Not sure what all the Yelp hype is about here. The question is *why* would someone look for NY pizza in a place like Cary, NC? Would you look for good NC BBQ in New York City? And if you did, would you actually expect to find good NC BBQ in Manhattan? Still, if you have the craving, Salvio's can satisfy that craving that only people who've had real NY pizza will have in the middle of nowhere. The slices are thin and wide, and the toppings are legit. The cheese is just gooey enough, but doesn't leave large puddles of grease like most attempts at NY pizza with the wrong type of cheese. We got the veggie lovers and the meat lovers, with a large house salad, enough to feed a small army. The salad was fresh and crispy, with a bright Italian sauce. The pizza was gone in minutes. Again, of all the things to eat while in North Carolina, why look for NY pizza...but if you have that craving, Salvio's is the place. read more
