This is a new favorite! We got two pizzas for takeout One was just a pepperoni for the kids and the other was the Bianca pizza Oh my word. The Bianca was wonderful great flavor, fresh ricotta cheese, it was even good the next day The pepperoni was good too This pizza holds up. The Crust crisp to it but is hardy around the edges as well. I could've eaten the crust all by itself. They also sell pizza by the slice. I went by a day or two later and got a meat lovers and the cheese. Again, the crust was phenomenal, the ingredients were fresh. They don't chinche on the toppings, and the meats are quality The menu has so much more on there that I want to try. I'll have to come back. This is a cute place. It's not big but has booths and tables and feels very much like an old Timey pizzeria. It makes me want to come back and eat in the restaurant. The guys behind the camera were helpful and very friendly as well. read more

Stopped in a little before noon. Wasn't too busy. Ordered a slice of cheese and drink for just a little over $5. Those with a big appetite could do a two cheese slice special for just under 7. Pizza came out hot and very cheesy with a crispy crust. Very good! Service was friendly and attentive and pizza was ready quick. read more

Big Sergio's Pizza - 18" Cheese pizza - Pizza Near Me - Apex, North Carolina

Our first time....we ate in. They were busy with take out orders so not sure if that had any effect on our pizza. The crust was burned but the center of the pizza was very wet. It was like all the toppings were piled up in just the center. Not many toppings out to the edges. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. When we asked about the crust they said we needed to order it "light baked" read more

Perfect place to go get some NY pizza in North Carolina. The inside is just your classic pizza parlor, but the staff are really nice, welcoming, friendly and helpful. All of the pizza is really good. They have Coke zero, I'll be back! read more

Purchased an 18" Classic this evening and there was so little cheese on the pizza that it was sad......embarrassingly sad. Someone really dropped the ball on this take-out $27.00 purchase. First time we have ever felt taken advantage of when we got home and opened the box. read more

Flavorful, HUGE pizza. I didn't realize just how big the slices would be until I picked up the pizza. This amazing pizza has lasted over a week since we are full after eating a slice or two. I definitely recommend checking them out. Online ordering and pick-up is quick and easy. We have ordered their Buffalo Chicken Pizza (added bacon, garlic, and tomatoes) and Create Your Own Pizza (added garlic and pepperoni). Their pizzas are reasonably priced at $20.95 and $14.95 respectively for their 18 inch special and create your own pizzas. The flavor of the pizzas was on point. If you asked for garlic you definitely got garlic. We actually regretted adding garlic to the Buffalo Chicken pizza since it covered the Buffalo flavor. Luckily we love garlic. For the create your own pizza, I requested the sauce on the side. They made the pizza exactly as asked. I loved how thin the pizza was and the overwhelming garlic flavor. We would certainly order from here again! read more

We ordered a deluxe pizza & waited while it was prepared. The pizza crust was soggy. The toppings were plentiful. The crust made it difficult to eat. I did not enjoy the pizza due to the soggy crust. read more

I'm from New York so I'm quite picky about pizza. Overall, I find the pizza in North Carolina is decent enough compared to other west coast states we have lived in. We have our usual Apex spots that we frequent, but I was getting sick of one of the other places as the crust is a bit too thick for my personal taste. So, I was on the hunt for a thinner crust pie. We received coupons from Big Sergio's in our mailbox, the $19.99 deal for a 16 inch cheese and ten wings is what sucked us in. I can't comment on the delivery service from here as we almost pick up our food to save $. The pizza from here blows my taste buds away, it is so good! The crust is certainly more along the lines of what a New York pizza is. The flavor of the sauce is absolutely delicious. I appreciate just the perfect balance of cheese and greasiness. I'm sure we will be back here again soon! Just thinking of this pizza makes my mouth water. read more

Fantastic pizza joint located in Apex. They have varieties of different choices ranging from pizza, pastas, subs, calzones, strombolis to even gyros. All for affordable prices. We got the 14 inch meat lovers pizza for 16.95 and the lamb gyro and buffalo chicken roll for 7.50 each. All tasted delicious. What I was most shocked at was the size of the chicken roll. It was absolutely gigantic - about a foot in length and like about 10 inches in circumference. Inside it was filled with grilled chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch, and tons of mozzarella cheese. The outer crust was baked to golden perfection and finished off with butter, herbs, parmasean, and garlic - so delectable. For the price and size of it, it was certainly a steal. That thing could feed two people alone. Needless to say, there was plenty of leftovers to take home. The staff was real nice and friendly. Overall, a fabulous pizza joint that I would certainly come back to again. The affordable pricing and value for what you get makes it totally worth it. read more

Awesome pizza! Thin crust, great prices. Great Greek salad. Friendly, fast service. We loved this place!

I cant imagine that the boss "doesn't have time to change them". That is the posted prices on the wall. i gave my order and the total didn't add up. So, they charge whatever they want to charge irrespective of the posted price? Yes. i was told that the boss is too busy. read more

Food might be good.... Wouldn't know as after waiting in store for close to an hour I finally left and got frozen pizzas for Publix. Easily waited 90 for food between wait time in store and placing the order online. None of the staff was wearing masks either. Frozen pizzas might not have been the best but at least I got my food. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. We ordered online for delivery tonight. We live 10 minutes from the restaurant. Estimated delivery was 6:30. At 6:45 we called for an update and were told it was on its way at that time. At 7:20 we called again and were given the run around. At first we were told they didn't have our order. Then we were told that it was just leaving. When my husband asked to speak to the manager, the manager refused to speak to him and put the phone down and left my husband on hold. Very unprofessional and very disrespectful of customers. read more

I enjoyed the mild wings. The wings were hot in temperature when I got home from picking up the order. The small side salad was fresh.

Decent pizza, though poor selection -- I could not get two slices of mushroom because they said they only had meat lovers and Hawaiian made. Another customer asked for a slice of cheese pizza and they actually turned him away. They weren't interested in making any more apparently, even though any self respecting pizza joint has a plain cheese pie always ready so they can add toppings to order, but they couldn't be bothered at 2:30 in the afternoon. Dirty tables. limited selection of drinks, too. No sweet tea, except that terrible machine-dispensed Gold Peak, which they apparently don't realize isn't brewed sweet tea. Not impressed. I doubt they'll last. read more

Absolutely SOLID Brooklyn-style Grandma Pie. We literally get one weekly, Sergio's may as well sell us a subscription at this point. The consistency and ingredients are unrivaled, and the lighter Neapolitan crust is a game changing twist to the typically heavier square pie. Ever since I've arrived from Miami I've noticed Raleigh/Apex lacks good food. Pizza rarely goes wrong and Big Sergios surpasses expectations. Pizza is sooo good I could have a slice a day and not get bored. I eat every last bite. Even the crust. Unique to Sergio The Grandmas pizza is unforgettable. Must try. The sauce is savory, validity, garlicky- just delicious. I don't think I could go back to big chain restaurants. read more

In a area where the 'New York' style pizza is over saturated, you need to set yourself apart from the rest, and especially if you are charging premium price for your product. Tonight we tried Big Sergio's Pizza for the first time, and it will probably unfortunately be the last. We were excited because of the excellent reviews and pictures that we saw here on yelp. Unfortunately we were sorely disappointed. We had it delivered to our house, however that should not make a difference if you are offering it as a service. We ordered a cheese pizza, a customized pep, cheese, mushroom, onion, and sausage pizza, medium sauced wings, and 2 liter of Sunkist. To be frank, the Sunkist was the best part of our meal... Both pizzas were bland, and cardboard like which had us wondering if there was any sauce on them at all. The ingredients were decent but nowhere near worth the $2 per topping that they are charging for them. The wings lacked sauce, were over cooked / dry, and the quality of chicken meat was also lacking for the price. We have lived in the Triangle for over 9 years, and this is probably hands down the worst pizza/wings that we have ever had here. Especially for almost $50... I hope that they make the proper changes in improving the products that they are putting out as I will always root for the 'Mom and Pop' shops over the chains. Good luck! read more

Ordered a Sicilian pizza and a medium 3 topping. The Sicilian was cooked to perfection! Crispy crust, not burned at all, and the best part was the price. Big Sergio's Pizza - Custom box by Bill - Pizza Near Me - Apex, North Carolina

I was visiting a friend in Apex when I tried this pizzeria. We ordered the meat lovers which arrived hot, nicely sliced and no signs that box had been dropped. The biggest delight was even with all the meats this pizza was not greasy I only wish there was more marinara sauce. Thin, crunchy crust baked to a smooth NY style crispness that gives you that snap crunch as you bite in. My 1st delivery order sure I'll be a repeat customer perfect meal for Monday night game or covid19 chill movie, repeat LOL....BRING ON 2021!!!! read more

We were in Cary recently, needing lunch and tried out Big Sergio's pizza, a little hole-in-the-wall place on Ten-Ten Road right off US 1 on the way into Cary. The food was awesome and the prices reasonable! I have eaten lots of pizza and I had the Classic! The italian sausage and sauce was great, they didn't skimp on the toppings- a good NY style pizza. I also had the small antipasto salad, which was one of the best I have ever had in any Italian restaurant, and that includes restaurants in Charleston, SC, Columbia, SC, Raleigh, and Florida. My husband had the beef calzone and he said it was pretty good too! It's a small place so if you are feeding a crowd, I'd order take out. They also offer loads of Italian offerings- check out the menu. I look forward to getting dinner and trying some of their other entrees and the Sicilian style pizza next time I am up that way! read more

Moving here few years ago after growing up in North Jersey a good chunk of my life, I was tryin to find some good pizza here. I tried the others but they werent what I was looking for. I got a coupon in the mail for Big Sergio's and said what the heck. I ordered a pizza and when it got to my house, I opened it up and it looked like it came right from a pizzeria in NJ. It is so damn good. ITs the only place down here in the Triangle that can come close to pizza like back home. I always order the pizza but they have so much other food on their menu that I havent tried yet. They dont deliver to where I live now near the airport but its worth it the 20 min drive to pick it up. Its that good. You wont be disappointed. read more

Big Sergio's Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Apex, North Carolina

This is the place to come on a Friday night with the family or with your friends to watch a game, eat delicious food, enjoy laughs and have a good time. The pizza is mainly NY slice style with many options, toppings, and flavors to choose from mix and match to your liking. You can also order a whole pie for a bigger group and eat it fresh blazing hot from their oven. If NY thin slice is not your style, they also have other pizza styles like Sicilian and Grandma's. Aside from pizza, they have excellent subs, salads, and my personal favorite...their wings! They have a secret recipe and cooking style and are made to order fresh and so crispy! Their buffalo mild sauce is my favorite topping as they are tossed in and you get the right amount of flavor with each bite....yum! The new owners are also very friendly and like to check in with their guests to take their feedback and are very involved with their staff. It seems like me like each time I come in (3 so far) there are improvements to the store and menu. The owners are also investing in delivery options such as GrubHub, Slice, and others to come. 5 star rating from me! Okay...enough writing..I am hungry for Sergio's pizza! read more

I am always happy with the pizza. I am originally from NY and lived many years in CA, so I can say that I am used to having good pizza. I have tried many different types of pizza and of course people have their preference for flavor. I have ordered a few pizzas at a time for company and everyone was satisfied. I just asked my partner what he can add about Big Sergio's and he said, "Damn good!". read more

I placed the order for a pizza and lasagna at 11:30 on a Sunday, yes, the order doesn't start until 12. I was told the order would be ready at 12:25. Arrived at 12:25 to pick up order. He said lasagna wouldn't be ready for a few more minutes. It is now 1pm, we had to ask for the pizza at 12:40 as it had already been cooked. We ate in restaurant instead of taking home. Finally at 1 my hubby had to ask once again if the lasagna was ready, they finally bagged it up and we were able to leave! Poor time management left us with a cold pizza! read more

Ordered the 2 x 2-Topping pizza special online. Seemed simple enough -- Pepperoni/Jalapeño & Sausage/Mushroom. Got home, and found out they messed up & made both with Mushrooms -- no pepperoni. Ordered a "14 meat lovers pizza and wings yesterday from DD. Pizza was excellent. It arrived really hot and I live about 3 miles away prob. The crust was crispy and chewy with that slight char you get on the outside from a seasoned oven. Sauce was light and a touch sweet. Good ratio of cheese and toppings. I've never eaten pizza in NY but I have a lot of experience eating pizza and I would bet this is about as authentic as your guna find in the Apex area. The wings are what they are but I'm not judging a pizzeria on their wings, especially after a 15 drive in styrofoam. I called for pizza and it was outstanding. read more

Wish I could have taken a picture before I devoured it all. Got a slice of pepperoni pizza and it was huge! On top of that, the slice was crunchy, flaky, perfectly sauced and topped with pepperoni. For sure one of the best pizzas I've had around here. I also purchased the garlic knots. They weren't the best ones I've ever had, but they were still ok. A little under-done. Planning on returning for the delicious pizza. :) read more

Visiting Apex, Fuquay-varina, Holly Springs area. Down from Long Island, NY. After a long day exploring had dinner at Big Sergio's. We had a delicious Caesar salad. And split a 14" half cheese, half meat-lovers pie. It was more than enough food. Crust, sauce, cheese, and meats: pepperoni, sausage and meatball were delicious. This is a pizzeria with an extensive menu. Gyros, subs (heros) hot, cold, parm, the works. It's on our list for go-to satiating hunger pangs for NY pizzeria food. read more

Best pizza I've had in NC and that's saying a lot from someone who desperately misses Jersey pizza

Was very disappointed. I took an hour after I placed my order online. No one answered the phone when I tried to call. The confirmation said 20-25 mins. I waited 40 minutes in the store and no acknowledged the delay or offered an apology. The worst part is I hoped the pizza was as good as advertised. It was average at best. I'm a NY'er and know good pizza. Watching the cooks it was obvious there's no passion for the pizza they're making and the cooks didn't speak English. Not a good experience. I'm sorry to say I was very hopeful but won't be returning. Disappointing! read more
