First time visit as I wanted to try a new pizza place in Wake Forest. I'm glad I did. Paco's is in the same place that used to be Little Caesar's pizza. I placed an online order for a Margherita pizza with sausage and a cheese pizza, both 18 inches. The website was easy to order from, no issues there. They even accepted Google Pay which was a nice bonus. Prices were also inline with similar pizzas in the Wake Forest area from non-major chain restaurants. The wait time on a Friday evening was about 30 minutes (same as mentioned when ordering) which is inline with other local pizza shops during that time of day. When I picked up the pizza, a lady greeted me with a hello and a nice smile, can't overlook that nowadays! My wife and I had the Margherita pizza and my son had the cheese. The Margherita was very good. I figured I'd like it, but was a bit surprised how much I'd like it. Thin crust. If you like olive oil and garlic, like I do, you'll appreciate it on this pizza. I think they enhance everything else on the pizza. They are pronounced, but not overpowering. The pizza was not greasy, with the ingredients (fresh spinach, onion, tomatoes) very fresh tasting. The crust was ok, not special, not bad at all, but the toppings definitely made up for it. I think some additional flavoring from yeast would have helped the crust. My wife also really liked the flavor of the pizza. We'll definitely put this on repeat in a future order. My son thought the cheese pizza was good, similar to other pizza restaurants in the area that are not large chain types. Overall, I'm glad I took a chance and now have yet another option for pizza in Wake Forest. I'll be back! read more

Well, it seems Paco's has possibly started a decline. We really loved their pizza a few years ago but tonight was so disappointing! The pizza was just not good. It took an hour to be delivered, was ice cold when it arrived but also, there was not much cheese on it. The sauce was very meh as well. Maybe it was an off night? Either way, we did not enjoy it, not sure we will order again. Think we'll stick to Romeo's. read more

This used to be good but has gone down hill quick. Had to add extra cheese just to get it where it should be and also ordered pepp/ sausage and there was barely any toppings on there at all! Good pizza at this new shop in Wake Forest. This is the 3rd iteration of a pizza place at this former Domino's location. The conveyor belt oven is gone, replaced with a real pizza oven! Pizza freshly tossed NY-style. Tried a veggie pie. Freshly sliced mushrooms, black olives, green pepper and onions. Well proportioned cheese/sauce ratio. Crust cooked just right - a nice crunch on the bottom, moist and chewy on the top. It took about 15 minutes longer than the 30 minutes promised. The place is busy (a good thing) and they're just getting started, so I'm sure prediction will get better as time goes on. The team offered me a free dessert for the extended wait - a nice touch which shows me they're paying attention. Good pizza plus paying attention - you bet I'll be back. read more

I'll preface this by saying I get their regular NY style pizza occasionally and it's a good pie and I'll definitely go back--I like the place overall and I didn't come here to leave a bad review (hence the 4 stars). That said.... I tried the Sicilian tonight. I knew it was a gamble because most places around here that identify as "NY Style" cook their Sicilians the same way they cook their Neapolitan pizza (and probably with the same dough) and it ends up being charred and dry on the bottom. To Paco's credit, their Sicilian crust was better than most. Sauce was solid (not over-seasoned) and cheese was generous, which I appreciate on a Sicilian. The rest of the crust was a little dense and could probably benefit from a higher gluten flour, but overall, it was fine. What shocked me was the stunning lack of attention to detail. First of all, the pie is advertised as a 16" Sicilian. What I got was 14.5" x 14.5". I'm not going to accuse anyone of being intentionally shady, but that's a pretty big oversight if you're accidentally baking your pies in a pan that's 45.75 square inches smaller than advertised. Secondly, an actual 16 x 16 pie can easily be cut into 16 decent size pieces. I don't know if it was because the pie was smaller than advertised, but whoever cut the pie made the decision to cut it into 12 pieces, 4 columns and 3 rows. The pizza order was for half cheese and half onion/garlic, and the way the pizza was cut, I ended up with 4 slices of cheese, 4 slices of onion/garlic, and then 4 larger slices in the middle that were half cheese, half onion and garlic. Obviously if you're feeding a group with differing tastes, this is a problem. The only real solution is to cut those slices in half, so you've basically got some pizza sliders... While the best solution is obviously to provide an actual 16" pie that can be cut into 16 good size pieces to idiot-proof the slicing process, this could also have been solved if the person cutting the pizza just rotated it 90 degrees in either direction before cutting. Seriously, a half second's worth of thought would have produced an exponentially less disappointing result. Look, I like the pizza, I'll be back, and I'm sure you're busy and all, but if you want customers to return, attention to details like this matter. read more

Ordered 3 large pies and 2 orders of knots for kids birthday party. Pizzas we ordered were 1 cheese, 1 pepperoni and 1 sausage. First, the pizza is good, the sauce could have deeper flavors. The knots were spot on and very good. Three biggest knock for us, the sausage was lacking any flavor at all. Several people mentioned that about the sausage. On the flip slide, several people said the pepperoni was very good. Would order from them again. Not the best, but very good. read more

Well my wife talked me into ordering from this place again. The food here is bland and horrible. The toppings to sauce to cheese ratio is way off and it's like the pizza tastes old. Like it's sitting in the cooler pre made and they dress it to order. Very disappointing for the price and Pizza Hut is better than this place. If she asks me again... she's on her own... Finally revisited Paco's and earned a few more stars. They seamed to iron out the operational problems - took my order, gave a reasonably accurate estimate on when it would be ready... basic stuff but important for a pizza joint and happy to report a big improvement. On quality, it's my favorite pizza if WF but that's a personal preference. I like the thin northeast style and they do the best pizza on that end (Bella Italia an Il Bacio are runners up and decent as well) I'm going on a bit and it's because I crushed them earlier. Service was friendly and placing the order online was easy and gave a delivery pickup time. I was looking forward to another pizza option in the area but the food was disappointing. I've never had garlic bread without garlic before. How did they forget that? The white pizza seemed to lack the ricotta and Parmesan cheeses. This did have garlic on it. I can't recommend Pacos pizza enough!! We order from them regularly and have never had an error in our order. Our food always is hot fresh and delicious when arrived. It always comes in a very timely manner. Usually within 30 minutes. People complaining about New York style pizza in North Carolina always make me giggle because they're bound and determined to compare the two, In order for anyone to get their killer NY pizza experience I suggest they take the 12 hour hike up north and stop leaving reviews on small local businesses. It's like comparing Panda King takeout to the food in Hong Kong, China. Sorry for the rant , but with that said the pizza, calzones and Strombolis are very delicious!! Secondly the wings are to die for. Period! The Carolina barbecue wings are out of this world. The staff is always friendly. We've only ever ordered delivery and whether it's received through an app delivery service or the restaurant itself delivery person. I literally thought that they forgot to put the pizza in the box when they handed it to me it was so light. I tried a meatball sandwich and some chicken wings as well, the sandwich was average I would say and the wings were very small and over cooked. When they first took over from Pizza Corner, they were a lot better. Honestly, if you have the courage to charge $3 for a topping on your pizza pie It better be New Jersey, New York quality! This is not!!! That is absolutely absurd. This is a .50 topping pizzeria. Step your game up,or lower your prices. The pizza is halfway decent.
