So far the best pizza I have tried in the city very professional and very humble people Definitely going back to try other combination

2 pepperoni slices and a drink for 6 bucks and some change. This is really good pizza. NY style large slices ready in a jiffy. I've only been to a handful of NY pizza places in NYC and Paco's did a great job with the vibes. When you walk in, it's a counter, pizza and a few standing options to eat. Definitely NYC vibes. Thanks for the great pizza and quick lunch!

Good pizza at this new shop in Wake Forest. This is the 3rd iteration of a pizza place at this former Domino's location. The conveyor belt oven is gone, replaced with a real pizza oven! Pizza freshly tossed NY-style. Tried a veggie pie. Freshly sliced mushrooms, black olives, green pepper and onions. Well proportioned cheese/sauce ratio. Crust cooked just right - a nice crunch on the bottom, moist and chewy on the top. It took about 15 minutes longer than the 30 minutes promised. The place is busy (a good thing) and they're just getting started, so I'm sure prediction will get better as time goes on. The team offered me a free dessert for the extended wait - a nice touch which shows me they're paying attention. Good pizza plus paying attention - you bet I'll be back.

Our first time trying this spot out due to a recommendation from a friend based off their food pics -- Ordered: large pepperoni & sausage pizza; lobster ravioli Pro: pizza dough was nice and chewy with crunchy crust - good ny style type of pizza Cons: the lobster ravioli was not great....and then we were kind of let down that they didn't tell us there's curbside service so we got out to wait on our food while another car got their food served by pulling up to the side of their restaurant Maybe we will try other other pizza items next time

Paco's is strictly pickup or delivery. No tables to eat at. We ordered for pickup via grub hub and only had a 5 min wait once i arrived. I'm a born and bred New Yorker and a cheese pizza purist. I can say it was right up there with my favorites in the area. A bit pricier than others and had to reheat as it's not that close to home but would order again.

    16" Sicilian is 14.5"

I'll preface this by saying I get their regular NY style pizza occasionally and it's a good pie and I'll definitely go back--I like the place overall and I didn't come here to leave a bad review (hence the 4 stars). That said.... I tried the Sicilian tonight. I knew it was a gamble because most places around here that identify as "NY Style" cook their Sicilians the same way they cook their Neapolitan pizza (and probably with the same dough) and it ends up being charred and dry on the bottom. To Paco's credit, their Sicilian crust was better than most. Sauce was solid (not over-seasoned) and cheese was generous, which I appreciate on a Sicilian. The rest of the crust was a little dense and could probably benefit from a higher gluten flour, but overall, it was fine. What shocked me was the stunning lack of attention to detail. First of all, the pie is advertised as a 16" Sicilian. What I got was 14.5" x 14.5". I'm not going to accuse anyone of being intentionally shady, but that's a pretty big oversight if you're accidentally baking your pies in a pan that's 45.75 square inches smaller than advertised. Secondly, an actual 16 x 16 pie can easily be cut into 16 decent size pieces. I don't know if it was because the pie was smaller than advertised, but whoever cut the pie made the decision to cut it into 12 pieces, 4 columns and 3 rows. The pizza order was for half cheese and half onion/garlic, and the way the pizza was cut, I ended up with 4 slices of cheese, 4 slices of onion/garlic, and then 4 larger slices in the middle that were half cheese, half onion and garlic. Obviously if you're feeding a group with differing tastes, this is a problem. The only real solution is to cut those slices in half, so you've basically got some pizza sliders... While the best solution is obviously to provide an actual 16" pie that can be cut into 16 good size pieces to idiot-proof the slicing process, this could also have been solved if the person cutting the pizza just rotated it 90 degrees in either direction before cutting. Seriously, a half second's worth of thought would have produced an exponentially less disappointing result. Look, I like the pizza, I'll be back, and I'm sure you're busy and all, but if you want customers to return, attention to details like this matter.

    Greet pizza.

I ordered the Milton's Special pizza and it was fine. Nothing to rave about but nothing to want to come back to, either. My friend ordered a pizza as well. It's nice that they have GF options. She wasn't too impressed with her choice, either. It tasted like it could have come from the freezer at the grocery store, it was very generic in flavor. The service was really the best part of our entire meal. 10/10 service, 4/10 food

When he brought the bread and oil, he was able to take balsamic vinegar and draw the number 25 on the dish (we are soon to celebrate 25 years of marriage). Our 1st course was a plate of Crustini, prosciutto, provolone, burrata and balsamic marinated tomatoes. No problem finishing that. The atmosphere of this place is semi-casual. We were tucked in a little corner of a semi-private room, but could hear the patrons around us. Yet, it was not bothersome. For entrees, we both got pasta. My husband ordered the spinach noodled lasagna, which he told me was great. He couldn't finish his portion. As for me, I got the chicken parmesan with spaghetti. You can tell they used San Marzano tomatoes in their sauce. So good. I too, could not finish, so we get to eat this again. Make a reservation so you don't take a chance as a walk-in or bar patron. We loved that they said our name when we arrived at the proper time. Our waiter told us that the owner is from The Bronx, but he traveled to Bologna, Italy, and gets inspired by the dishes he tried there. Menu changes daily. We love that he went and treated us to some special treats (the dessert was a Limoncello tart. The top of the custard was bruleed, and it was served with tiny spoons and a dollop of real whipped cream. The plate was sauced with raspberry puree. Oh, the bottom was a crunch crust to add texture and flavor. Last thing, my Moscato D'Asti was imported from Italy. I like the pear flavor that comes through while drinking this chilled, bubbly wine. I hope you go there and try someone from the new menu. It will be nice to go again.

Interior is essentially the same, with a dining room to the right, a bar area in the center, with a few tables adjacent to the bar. It's bright, clean and bustling. On this visit, sat at a table on the bar side. The tables and bar were full, and it was loud. Definitely opt for the dining room side for a more sedate meal. Service is superb. Our server orchestrated the meal perfectly: as ordered and in the right order. Glasses full. Thank you! I tried the yellowfin tuna. Hi quality tuna is grilled to perfection - wonderful crust with cool pink rare center, sliced thin, sashimi style, bathed in pistachio and basil puree. The tuna is served atop a blend of orzo with mixed grilled veggies and artichoke hearts. Honestly, I can't think of how I would improve this entree. Really, really good. I was fortunate enough to snag a bite of the Chicken Encore. It's chicken franchaise-esq. A succulent breast, simmered in wine/lemon /butter sauce, adorned with mozzarealla and served atop risotto infused with garlic and spinach. The sauce is tangy and rich, the chicken is moist and flavorful, and both are complemented by the creamy, garlicky risotto. Another really tasty dish. There was barely enough room, but couldn't resist a bit of dessert. A delicious torte, topped with carmelized sugar (like creme brulee), drizzled with raspberry sauce. Sweet, tart and just enough to satisfy that sweet tooth. Recommend Encore for an upscale meal that is unpretentious. Food, service and atmosphere are great. Go!

Shannon was humorous, kind and explained the menu very thoroughly so that we understood. In addition, he asked us what brought us to Amalia's and catered to our occasion. While we were in town for a wedding, we also were celebrating some home wins as well which Shannon took note of and gave us complimentary drinks at the end of our evening which was so kind. We started our evening off with some NA mocktails made in house which resembled a mojito. There were fresh strawberries and a lime wedge on top of the cup. I appreciated that this drink wasn't overly sugary and was the perfect blend of refreshing we needed especially after a flight. From there, we got complimentary house bread which was outstanding as it contained oil and onions baked in. Delicious! Shannon explained the menu was tapas style or small plate. We lead with the zucchini appetizer which had pistachios on top and were given suggestions on how to eat it. We went with the sushi method and ended up rolling the thinly sliced zucchini with a fork and it was perfect!! A very fun experience and such a unique menu option. For our main dishes, my husband has the steak and mashed potato special while I had the truffle cavatelli with sausage. Both items were out of this word and the perfect portion size. Shannon knew we loved the bread and brought us more to our table even though I'm fairly certain that is supposed to be for the beginning of the coursing. While our bellies were too stuffed for dessert right then and there, we did get cannolis to go and they are currently up in our fridge. We look forward to trying! We were able to see the other patrons order dinner in house and the entire layout is a production. If you have the chance and room for dessert, I highly recommend because the staff prepares it for you at your table. In addition, there are lovely coffee pairings with each dessert as an option as well. **Note: Amalia's does not carry red sauce. Many of the pastas are white sauce by design. This was not a deal breaker for us but it might be for someone else. Thank you, Amalia's! You were exactly the Italian cuisine we craved!

There are plenty of lightly fried, slightly briny shrimp crammed into an interesting spinach tortilla wrap. The unlimited basket of golden brown, almost sweet Hush Puppies comes with semi-soft honey butter - addictive. The thick piece of delicate, mild white fish was was covered in a light, golden-brown batter. I substituted Fried Okra for the Potatoes, and it was delicious. The Flounder and Oyster small plate is another winner. The ten crunchy, juicy fried oysters and a large founder filet were cooked just right. Small plates also include a small cup of Cole Slaw. The colossal slice of Coconut Cheesecake was simply scrumptious - creamy, smooth and so coconutty. Do yourself a favor and indulge.
