We have been ordering from Marco's for about a year now. The pizza and wings are consistently delicious, our order is always correct and the staff when I pick up are sweet, efficient and always pleasant. I love this pizza place. Our favorite pizza is the works. It has meat and vegetables on it. The bacon is cooked perfectly as are the mushrooms. To me they are the stars. But the combination of all the flavors is perfect. Also I order the Parmesan crust and that is the secret to the crust tasting amazing. In the past my husband would give me his crusts because he didn't feel they were worth eating from other pizzas. Not this crust. It is delicious and daughter loves to dip it in the garlic sauce. We also get the sweet teriyaki wings. They are so good. On Friday, 9/13/24, I ordered 2 Pizzolis & a Crustless Pizza Bowl. When I arrived to pick up my order I was told they were "our of bowls". After driving 15 miles out of my way to pick it up and having to wait 45 minutes for my order, I was very frustrated. I waited for my order despite having called it in ahead. There's no excuse to run out of bowls. Have you ever run out of pizza boxes? If you advertise selling bowls & pizzas, you should make sure to have the items needed to make them. Especially since I was not informed you were out of bowls until after I had been waiting 45 minutes. It's very unprofessional & a waste of my time. We were told 15 minutes to pick up an hour for delivery. We are 2 blocks away I would get and accept a half hour, but an hour. So we picked it up. If you are going to offer delivery you should actually deliver in a reasonable time frame. 2 blocks take an hour. Walk it there! The food is good. I've been eating at Marcos on Camden Road for years. Today I got horrible service for the first time. I ordered on line for carryout. My order was done long before I got there. Seems the whole point of picking a time when you order is to get hot pizza. Add to this, they didn't make the wings I ordered so I had to wait even longer for them to make the wings, while my pizza got cold. There was a guy there who looked like he might be incharge. He told me"THEY" forgot my wings, I guess he had nothing to do with it. While waiting I noticed a couple guys tossing pizza dough across the room like it was a baseball or something. I ended up calling the store at least 4 times and was lied to by multiple employees over the course of 2 hours. Spoke to the manager during that time and Nicky was completely uninterested in dealing with me. I finally canceled the order and we had to find something else for dinner. Now I see that I was still charged for the order, despite the manager yelling at me that it was canceled, so I have to call back and deal with this further. If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a large pizza for delivery at 3:52 pm. The delivery time given was 4:22 pm. My pizza did not arrive until after 5 pm and it was cold. I called the location where I was put on hold for over 10 minutes. When I got to speak with an employee who was delaying information from their manager, Scott they never apologized for the delay or the cold pizza. I literally live across the street so there is no reason it should've been cold. I was offered for them to remake it but was told the wait would be over an hour. I asked if I could get a credit of some sort and was then put on hold again for another five minutes without warning. The employee got back on the phone and said no credit was going to be given and my only option was a new pizza. I confirmed the manager's name and asked for the General Manager's information. I was told he didn't know. I asked for the owner's name and was told he didn't have that information either. I'm a repeat customer of Marco's Pizza in Garner, NC. Well, was a repeat customer. I ordered delivery for 2 pizzas and 1 salad. My salad was missing. The delivery driver only crossed out the item on the receipt and left. I called the restaurant. Was first told they will send the driver back out with the salad. After waiting for 20 minutes, no one came and I called back and was then told by the new manager Jessica that they would just refund me my money for the missing item. After a few days of checking my account, no refund and I called back. Asked for the manager that day, and was told by the general manager he will refund the money and it will take 3 business days for it to appear. I checked my account after a week and have not received a refund. Although the food is usually good the customer service is terrible. The general manager could care less about the customers and had no intentions of refunding my money for an item I did not receive. Granted it was only $7 but your word is worth more and reflective of who you are. Although I liked their food I hate it was the customer service that caused the bad taste in my mouth. read more

i just picked up the most lousy pizza that I had to pay for. First of all, this was only our 3rd visit to Marcos. The first two pizzas were complaint free. 1. cut in squares unbeknownst to me. My first two pizzas were triangles so I didn't give it a thought. If you cut your pizza in squares don't put a picture on your pizza box that portrays otherwise. 2. You could not taste any sauce on it. 3. The person that took my money and my complaint could only say I'm sorry. He had zero interest in customer satisfaction. 4. I'm updating my years old review. This particular location has been firing on all cylinders lately. I live nearby and they have great pick-up deals if you get the emails. Orders are often ready in 15 minutes and always when quoted. Pizzas are well cooked and smashed with toppings. Usually there's another dash of cheese on top so you get that nice gooey bit on top of stuff. They also offer "well done" and "square cut" options. I've been very happy with them over my last few orders so I had to bump this way up. Customer service is on point as well. Always greeted promptly and I just dig it. So I was in a bit of rush today, and very very hungry and found a special online for a $6 Marco's pizza with a drink included so I figured, why not?! Well... the pizza is decent. I can't say that it was the greatest pizza I've ever had, but it surely wasn't the worst. The taste was actually very close to a pizza I made a few months back when I went through a bread-making phase so take that however you'd like haha. The customer service on the other hand was... kinda disappointing. I guess that's to be expected by a franchise pizza place though. I walked in and didn't see anyone in the back or at the front. Apparently one guy was hiding behind a wall eating some food and wouldn't have come out if it wasn't for the phone ringing. I'm actually surprised at some of the reviews! Pizza is my all-time favorite food. We're talkin' favorite as in: "If I was stranded on an island, the one food I would crave would be pizza." I definitely wouldn't say this is the best pizza I've ever had (to be honest, I've not yet found a place in NC that has won my heart for pizza). However, when it comes to pizza delivery, Marcos has been my #1 choice, by far. Anytime we ordered, we had quick delivery and the pizza (or food in general) was always still hot when it arrived. The delivery persons were always friendly, as well. I will say that when we decided to pick up a pizza from the actual store, the customer service was not that great. We almost felt like we were interrupting something each time we stopped in since the staff would be socializing/goofing around behind the counter. They do frequently run deals on their pizza (XL pizza for $10) which is nice. Often, we would order the XL and save leftovers for lunch the next day. Now that we've moved, we can no longer get Marco's delivery. I'm actually pretty bummed about it! I'd prefer their pizza over Papa John's or Domino's. read more

Writing this review for my hubs, who is a second grade teacher. Today he was blessed to be the recipient of 6 free pizzas from Marco's because his students entered their coloring contest and won. Yay for supporting your local community and free pizza!!! Originally, he had scheduled the pizza for Friday, but he had a last minute change, and Marco's accommodated and allowed him to switch his day to Thursday (for FREE pizza). Marco's delivery man showed up on time, and delivered 6 free pizzas to 24 7/8 year olds. Now, I know they do not have the most sophisticated palates, however, when it comes to pizza, an 8 year old knows what they like. "Mr.W., this is the best pizza I ever had!" was the response of several of his students. Every kid was 100% happy, which I am sure is a miracle with that age group. Jeff also highly enjoyed the pizza, and he is very picky about pizza (we both want thin, crispy, cheesy, NY style). He said although it wasn't NY style, it was very good, and not too thick and doughy. He will definitely be using Marco's for any future pizza parties! Since it opened, my family and I have ordered from this location at least a dozen times. It's THAT good. I'm not sure how someone could call this 'frozen' pizza, because we all agree that it's about as close to real NYC pizza as you can get in these parts. The service is always fast (delivery or carry-out) and the staff is very friendly. Not to mention, it's crazy affordable compared to the more popular chains (especially if you find coupons via RetailMeNot.com). I'm glad Marco's has come to Raleigh (and now to Wake Forest!) ... it's about time someone gave Domino's/Pizza Hut/Papa Johns a run for their money. I don't know when, but they added a "Lite" option to their pizza crust and it comes off as NY style (which is my favorite). Sauce and cheese is good - I wish they had more "complementary" add-ons like fresh basil/oregano. I'm kind of a cheapo so I'll get a 1 topping and then add my own at home, but we don't usually have mushrooms in stock so that's what I always get as my "1-topping". The mushrooms feel/taste like they're from a can tho, so that's disappointing :/ read more
