Anniversary dinner was by far an experience! We went to Encore Ristorante in Wake Forest. The food was amazing but our waiter Peyton made the evening. He made the evening so special for us and paid attention to every detail. If you find yourself in Wake Forest call, make a reservation and request Peyton... you won't regret it! Peyton, you are our NC Tyler!!

Shrimp scampi is spot on. They are real big fresh shrimp, not frozen shrimps. The pasta tastes like home made. This is our favorite dish of all. The rolls are pretty good specially the balsamic reduction mixed in olive oil creates a sweet taste. The mussels are pretty good. They are not overcooked at all. And unlike those in Chinese buffet these mussels have no bad foul smell. The flounder is ok. The butter and white wine sauce does not mix well with the fish at all. It is pretty bland. We expect a stronger flavored sauce to go with the flounder. Rigatoni Bolognese is on the other hand abit salty. The meat however is fresh and tasty. They dont taste like ground beef like any other restaurants. The pasta should be cooked alittle more. Overall we enjoy our meals. The ingredients are like fresh-made not from groceries. The dishes seem to be cooked by real Italian chefs. The service is super.

Our server was great, the place was clean and beautifully decorated. The food was good but a little pricey for what you got. It's a nice meal- but our server made it a great night.

This new Italian restaurant is where Bruno's used to be. In the Wakefield area, by Harris Teeter. It is the new venture by the folks who brought us Northside Bistro, which we all know and love. They are open for lunch and dinner, but you will only find the dinner menu online. I have managed to get my hands on the lunch menu and will post pics of both. Two of us tried this new restaurant for an early Saturday dinner. Service, delightful! John did a great job. We were also checked on by a manager and Chef. Plus food was delivered by others, so this is a team venture. Drink menu is also not online at this time, but I will post pics. We started with a dirty martini with blue cheese olives for Husband (he loved), while I started with a glass of Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay, followed by a red with my entree. Complimentary breads are delicious, and olive oil and balsamic with spices are excellent. We shared a Caesar salad with complimentary added anchovies. Light and tasty with garlic croutons. Anchovies really made it. Loved that they were kind enough to split it for us. Husband chose the vodka rigatoni with added sausage while I had Grandma's Sunday Gravy with handmade pasta. Ironically we both preferred the other's dishes. Red sauce is nice and rich. Heavy on the fresh oregano for the Sunday Gravy and heavy on the vodka for the vodka sauce. Quality all around. Biggest yum of the night one of the best desserts we can remember experiencing...their lemon tart with berry sauce!. Husband's coffee and my Limoncello and Prosecco Float went beautifully with it.

Food was amazing and service was above and beyond! My parents treated my family to dinner there and we were all pleased with our food!

Came here for birthday reservations, visiting for Xtreme Xperience. The menu was fairly limited, had some good food items I was a little surprised by the portion sizes of the pasta (kinda small) it's pretty crowded inside and was a bit loud for this caliber of restaurant. The server was kind and attentive, but I got skipped over during drink orders. Food was good but surprisingly most of it felt it needed a dash of salt. A little on the bland side. Worth checking out but wasn't my favorite

Came here for the first time from a recommendation from a family member and this place did not disappoint. We love farm to table restaurants and even though the ambiance is a cafe the food was so far above what we were expecting. Loved our waitress I want to say her name was Tara or Kara and Will the bartender was phenomenal. Our waitress was absolutely so friendly and made us feel welcome and Will's personality is on point. Loved the watermelon cocktail and lunch flounder mmmmmmm. Hubby got the beet salad and it was awesome. Sad they don't have local draft beer and the bread service could be stepped up just a little with focaccia would push this place over the edge. Totally worth the 45 min drive from Garner. Can't wait to return.

Split Caesar....with complimentary white anchovies. My husband's half did not have those! Hahaha.

After running errands, we drove just six minutes to El Chapin, a Guatemalan restaurant. Forget Tex-Mex--this is a completely different Latin cuisine experience. The two of us spent $76 (including tax and tip), but we intentionally ordered extra to take home leftovers. Parking was easy, right out front, and the restaurant itself is spacious. Since we arrived just a few minutes after opening, we had the place to ourselves at first and were seated immediately. Service was prompt and very helpful--the server even suggested we might have ordered too much food (he was right, but we didn't mind!). Here's what we tried: Plato Chorizo y Longaniza - a sausage platter with salad, rice, refried black beans, and two delicious housemade corn tortillas. Pollo Adobado - marinated chicken with rice, salad, refried black beans and two housemade corn tortillas . Ceviche de Camarón - fresh and tangy, though light on shrimp, which tasted a bit tough Fried Plantains - perfectly done, sweet, and satisfying. Plus, I had an unsweetened iced tea with lemon. The highlights for me were the flavorful rice (with vegetables mixed in, including carrots and squash), the marinated chicken, and the sausages. The plantains were also excellent. The ceviche had great flavor but could've used more shrimp. The only miss for me was the salad--generous in portion but iceberg-based, so a bit bland. Overall, the food was fresh, flavorful, not heavy or greasy, and we left with enough for another one or two meals. We'll definitely be back.

It was a bittersweet moment and I'm glad we chose Cape Fear. Kelly was our waitress and she was outstanding, truly making my last meal at Cape Fear a special one (being that they're a very small chain in NC, I'm unsure if I'll ever be back). The drinks were constantly filled and her service was one of the best I have ever had at any restaurant. I ordered a bunch of food, knowing it would be my last time ever having their risotto, clam chowder, and hushpuppies, along with their delicious fried seafood platter. I had told Kelly I was moving so she made it a spectacular visit and went above and beyond. I will miss Cape Fear. It reminds me of The Hamptons. It's casual but classy. Zero stars. I could…read morebe wrong, but I believe this is the first "terrible" review I've left on Yelp. We just left this "restaurant" after horrible service before even finalizing our entree orders. This was our first time trying it, and we were excited because we love all kinds of seafood. The restaurant was not very busy. The waitress was friendly and helpful at first. We ordered a mini-crab cake appetizer, which was brought out promptly. At that point we began placing our entree orders. My wife ordered a founder basket. I then ordered the shrimp taco meal. My order was to come with 2 tacos. So, I made a simple request: one with grilled shrimp and one with fried shrimp (since they serve both). I then received a lengthy, stammering explanation of how "they" don't let them do that. I offered to pay the higher of the two prices and explained, since it was our first time there, I was hoping to try different options. However, she maintained this could not be done. So, I requested to speak with a manager. She seemed surprised, but said, " okay," and went to the back. For the next 5 minutes, I waited (a bit annoyed, since I was hungry and knew or order was not even in process). After a little more than 5 minutes, she came back and said, "you can still talk to a manager if you would like, but they asked me to explain ..." Then she went into an explanation that didn't make a lot of sense. I also, at this point was not interested in explanations. It was clear to me that this restaurant has no interest in accommodating even the simplest of customers requests. I asked her for our check and told her we would finish our appetizer, pay, and leave. She told me she could get the manager, but at that point, I told her there was no need. It was clear to me the manager tried to avoid having the initial discussion in the first place, hoping the waitress could get me to accept the answer and move on. We paid and left. I'm usually a very generous tipper (maybe be even too generous sometimes). I try to error in the direction of more, but less. My wife is the same, had hung worked in the service industry, including waitressing for many years. In this case, I left no tip, and wrote a brief explanation on the merchant receipt. I had noticed some of the "don't recommend" reviews on Yelp prior to checking it out, but sometimes I view those as one-offs. In this case, I found myself agreeing wholeheartedly with the reviews indicating they will never be back. Even if ultimately I could not get what I requested, and was even still unconvinced as to a legitimate reason, had this been handled with even a modicum of respect for a paying customer, I likely would have refrained from reviewing at all, instead of this negative review. At no point during this situation was I rude, loud, argumentative, or inappropriate in any way. When a manager doesn't care, that attitude permeates the business. As for the mini crab-cakes, they were okay, but not what I would have expected for the price.

I had wings and a side salad which were both good, but not outstanding. The price of the side salad was rather expensive, in my opinion. My wife's Caesar salad with salmon was good as well, but again not that great. Apparently, they have a team approach to serving tables as we interacted with about 5 different servers which made things rather confusing and uneven. It would have been nice to know that's how they do the service experience up front. I think the primary factors in my rating are the price of the extra 2oz cup of Bleu Cheese dressing to take with my leftover wings and the 3% CC charge. If I knew the little cup of dressing was a dollar, I would not have taken it. Then there's the now ubiquitous 3% charge to use a credit card. I totally get that the card companies charge the fee and this is painted as 'transparency', but it just doesn't sit well with me. Maybe restauranteurs and other establishments that add the card fee could look at the sales with and without credit cards and just raise the menu prices by that percentage so it's not in people's faces. There's enough 'extra charges' in my life and it would be great to see one disappear.
