I was seriously looking forward to this meal and I popped by on a Sunday afternoon. I had zero problems with the customer service. He spoke as soon as I came in and was friendly. I ordered my food and glass of wine and patiently waited. The food came out pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it wasn't that good this time. In the past, the chicken parm has been the star of the show. This time, it was disappointing. The breading was half off the chicken. The chicken itself was just okay. The fettucine alfredo seem to be missing some seasonings. The lasagna was good and unfortunately for me, also the smallest portion on the plate. This really should be a 3 star but the friendly service bumped it up to a 3.5-4. I'm hoping it was just an off day and the next time I go, it will be how it was before. read more

I was in town for a work meeting, and I was staying not far off of New Bern Ave. This amazing little Italian restaurant is good! The host was nice, and the lady cooking was nice! There are more tables inside than I thought. There is room for a party of 10. We were greeted by our friendly waiter. They have a nice selection in their menu. Their menu has a great range of Italian food from pastas to pizza. They have wonderful dessert selection. We started with cups of water that were refilled often. I had a side garden salad with homemade ranch dressing. Delicious! My friend and I decided to share a Margherita pizza. You know what? This pizza was really good! The crust was soft and flavorful. The cheese was fresh. The tomatoes seemed like they were hand picked! I really enjoyed this meal and service. This wonderful lady...I'm assuming the chef hand delivered each dish. A great find! Found this place tucked in the corner of a strip mall. Entered and it was like walking into nana's kitchen. Smelled so good. The food didn't disappoint. Eggplant parm and a gluten free portabella/ zucchini dish were delicious. Breads are homemade and so good. I took my team members for a lunch meeting, and it was good. This place has great options, especially during lunch. It has 3 lunch menus: Lunch specials, chef's specials and the regular menu. I had the fettuccini alfredo with chicken and it was not bad at all. The restaurant is centrally located in a shopping plaza with its own free parking lot. My wife and I stopped in for dinner recently and we made up 50% of the customers eating. Our server was lackadaisical at best. My wife very much liked the lobster bisque soup, but my chicken parmesan dinner was over-spiced and left a bad taste in my mouth. I was hoping they would have changed their payment process, but they still add a 15% tip in before they total the bill. Then, after they run your card, they have the gall to display the total as the pre-tip amount, which gives you an opportunity to add another tip. I missed that the first time I was in, but I was watching for it this time. I crossed out the PRE and wrote in POST, and left no additional tip. Perhaps, if they stopped that deceptive process, they would have received a 20% tip, which is what I usually leave. read more

Me and my friend came in to have dinner before our concert last night. We ordered a glass of wine each. Calamari for an appetizer and we asked our server which I think is the owner's son from a prior visit if we can split the 10in margarita pizza. He gave us kinda of an awkward look and said well you might as well get the 14inch because I will have to charge you a split fee because it's such a small pizza. I was a little puzzled and said really? He said yup very short and rude. So after that it seemed he was kinda distant. I'm not sure if he judged us from that moment. He brought us out the calamari. It was small portioned and really just fried batter for the most part. Then dropped our pizza off. When he walked back by finally I requested if we could have some pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese. He came back shortly after dropped them off. Once we finished I had to wave him down for our bill. As you can see on the bill. He Charged us $2.50 for the Parmesan which he did not mention it would be a up charge before bringing it out. He also charged us a 15% gratuity charge. I went there one time prior on business with another person about a year ago. Never up charged us for Parmesan or added gratuity. I'm not sure what kinda business they're running but that will be my last visit. read more

Got a dinner salad and did not like the dressing (which was on the side). They wanted to charge me for another dressing. If you have food allergies, this is not the place to eat. It is a small restaurant with 2-3 staff (including the sweet Italian Mamma, who is there 24/7- cooking- I think! Take a close look at your check! We've lived in the area 7 years now and finally decided to try this little establishment. We were polite to the staff and also both work in the service industry, so we know how hard the job can be first hand. The pasta was good. My chicken was a little over breaded but had a fine flavor. The reason for such a low rating is that they added 20% gratuity to our check for my family of 4. We scoured the menu and didn't find any disclosure saying that was their policy. If you are going to include gratuity, then great! Disclose that. But I have confirmed with other people that they had the same experience and didn't realize tip was added, so they tipped on top of the after tip amount. Which is understandable because the credit card receipt definitely says "pretip amount," even though it was the AFTER tip amount. Not cool. read more

Update: Came again with my friends. It was their first time and they absolutely loved it! I ordered the spicy one again but extra spicy (It's called Seafood Fra Diavola!!) and I enjoyed it much more. One of them had the tour of Italy with stuffed shells, lasagna, and fettuccine alfredo. It was so much food he brought more than half back home. The other one ordered Steak Pizzaola and she enjoyed it a lot. Grandma especially enjoyed the garlic bread. She normally doesn't eat bread much but she kept talking about it while we were eating and eventually asked for more!
