I was on Glenwood for the St Paddy's crawl and all roads led to Vic's. The line was long but the wait once you ordered was reasonable. I got the app meatballs, that comes with three large meatballs, there was plenty of sauce to dip each bite into and a good dollop of ricotta. I also got a slice of their pepperoni with hot honey, I love that you can customize even single slices of pizza! It came out hot and crispy bottom. I wanted to go out and experience more of the great pizza the triangle has to offer so of course that includes getting into downtown locations. Vic's Pizza came highly recommend and the staff is genuinely awesome which adds a lot to the overall experience. Their pizza starts with a light crust and a simple sauce base. By the slice orders begin as plain cheese, and then you choose your toppings before it goes back in for a quick heat. It's ok enough but I personally prefer when toppings are added during the original bake so everything melds together more naturally. Seating inside is pretty limited but that wasn't a problem when I was there (most people were getting to-go full orders) Décor and ambiance have a playful, energetic feel (see pics) that fits the downtown location perfectly. So I've had samples of their pizza from a previous Yelp event but I decided to try this place out Monday evening for dinner. It's small and cute inside. I decided to do the 12inch cheese pizza , took about 10 minutes or so. The cashier was friendly and helpful supplied me with paper plates, red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese packs. Saturday lunch at Vic's consisted of a cheese pizza and beer and it was very good. Pizza base is light and crunchy with just the right amount of edge/crust. Sauce is good with a nice bit of zing (garlic?) to compliment the tomatoes. Thought ordering two pizzas through Slice App. So busy tonight that couldn't do delivery. So I had to change order for pickup. Unfortunately, the complexity of the App provide four, not two pizzas. It will take my son and I forever to eat four large pizzas. The four pizzas: two cheese, one pepperoni, and one onion, are delicious. Very unhappy with what had occurred with my order. As well as trying to use my Gift card to that same store, the card did not work. I had to process payment using my debit card. The order was all messed up! The cost was much more than what I had noticed on line, I went in thinking I would be paying about $12 and it came out to $19.41 with a tip $22.32. The tip was before I realized my order was BAD! I ordered a cheese stromboli with only cheese and spinach and got the works , unfortunately I do not eat meat. THE BIG PART TO THIS IS THAT I PAID USING MY DEBIT CARD BECAUSE THE VIC'S GIFT CARD THAT WAS PROVIDED AND NEVER USED DID NTO GO THROUGH. Vic's was a good lunch experience. My husband and I split a house salad and small New Yorker pizza. I liked the pizza; however, the salad was a joke. We wanted balsamic vinaigrette dressing but go balsamic oil instead (did not know that we needed to specify that). We had a half/half made of the Mexican and a customer pie. Michael the owner is super accommodating and the environment is convenient and relaxed. We were at Incendiary having a beer and decided to order pizza. Vic's has QR codes on the tables for ordering. You just enter INC-your table number when you order and they run it over to you. They brought plates, parm, crushed red pepper, & napkins-everything you need! The large is 18" and is huge. The crust had a lovely crispness and the sauce is flavorful. We had the Hawaiian which had plentiful toppings. Also the mozzarella had a nice cheese pull and was buttery. Next time we will order the smaller size and split an app or stop in for lunch slices! I just received my first pizza delivery from this new Vic's location, but haven't visited in person. The small "New Yorker" was cooked to perfection and still hot upon arrival with crispy crust. I was impressed since they are newly opened. Oher pizzas within the area don't compare qualty-wise so I think this is a great addition to the neighborhood.
