Super cute place in a great location! They have limited hours and about 45 mins after they opened it was packed!!! They have a lot of charcuterie boards you can choose from or other smaller apps, lots of different types of wine! It's a great place! Service was great as well

This place was suggested to me in a downtown Cary forum when I asked for recommendations for a girl's night out. So many people enthusiastically recommended RBF (with exclamation marks) it was hard to ignore. The vibe at RBF is more like a big city destination than someplace you'd expect to find in Cary. First, you can't see it from the street and have to walk downstairs (or take an elevator down). That gives it a cool factor...you have to know where it is. And once you get in, there's a kind of insulated, off the beaten path feeling. I met a new friend there and we shared a bottle of champagne and split a charcuterie board (The Suit). The menu is very clever and entertaining. Given that I'm a professional writer I have to give RBF props for the work that it took to create the humorous menu descriptions. Think Trader Joe's product descriptions with an edge. **Piollot Brut Nature 130 Btl 100% Pinot Noir No one puts baby in the corner for this one. Grab your Patrick Swayze for this crispy, tree fruity, nutty, and earthy dance lift in the water. I can guarantee that you will have the time of your life. ***A Chickpea is Neither a Chick Nor a Pea. Discuss Amongst Yourselves. ***Good in Bread. There was live music, kind of a Stevie Nicks vibe, sans the hippy chick shawl or fringe. RBF is an acronym for Resting Bitch Face and when you realize that, the wry humor of the artwork becomes kind of an inside joke. RBF has a living-wage business model, so you might find it a little pricier than some other places, but I believe this contributes to the relaxed atmosphere. You don't get that kind of desperate server hustling vibe that sometimes overtakes a Saturday night. Lastly, I have to mention that in the restroom there are toiletries in a basket which is such a great amenity. What girl doesn't need a little hair spray in this humidity? As someone always trying to cram way to much into an evening bag I really appreciated the little comforts usually found in nice hotels. I'm really looking forward to going again to try some of the more unusual sparkling wines. Also, they have some community discussion events that look interesting and sophisticated. Highly recommended, a truly great place for women to hang out and spend quality time with each other. Definitely check out the very thoughtful artwork while you're there.

WOMAN OWNED. Let's start with that's. Sorry for yelling. But we loved a safe space for the women. Ended up her during a girls day and we had a blast. This place is so empowering. Tons of pics of women who have made history in many different ways. Lots of couches and comfy chairs to sit in. There is also an outdoor patio as well. Make sure you go down the stairs to find the door! We had a few glasses of wine, the artichoke dip and also both flavors of chips. The music was also fire. I can't wait to come back!

Overall a very beautiful and thoughtfully decorated space. I love the concept as well and they have a great variety of champagne/wine. The downsides are, it's hard to find parking. I appreciate the pricing that tip is included, but then when you go to pay the tip option starts at around 20%, I would totally add on an additional 5-10% if that were an option. I also thought it was weird that your server won't bring you water. You have to go over to the water station at the side of the bar, for the prices it just seems like the server could drop off a jug of water. All that aside, the vibe is fun in there. The service is super friendly and casual. The server will chat you through champagne/wine options if you are unsure of what to go for. The champagne flight is basically whatever bottles they have open that day, random, but a good way to try something new. I love how thoughtful they even were with decorating the bathroom, you can tell they thought of everything. They have a great patio and if it's nice they open up the sliding glass door walls so it's like an indoor outdoor vibe.

I'm a female that loves champagne and beautiful decor; how could I not love RBF?! Everything about this bar is very well thought out- the menu has so many great options and the snacks all sounded delicious (and written with a great sense of humor). My husband and I both enjoyed a glass of champagne and the ambiance. RBF has a very cozy and inviting vibe, which makes you want to chill at their bar all evening. We hope to visit again soon-I'd love to try the champagne flight next time.

Another nice addition to downtown Cary, RBF brings an upscale drinking option along with small plates for the area! I had stopped by during its soft opening and the place was jammed so came back during a quieter time. RBF sits out back, behind Bull City Ciderworks, and offers a nice lit patio along with a well-designed interior. So much to look at inside, the main action is at the bar to the left. They've got about 60 varieties of champagne and sparkling wine available by the glass or bottle. The menu also has a nice selection of small plates and charcuterie, RBF will be adding brunch in the near future. Note that RBF pays a living wage so tipping is not required and that is factored into their prices. The space is lively, there's a lot to look at but as you may guess, it's a drinking spot that's heavily female. So your mileage may vary if you're a dude. All in all, it seems like a fun spot, even though it might not be my spot! But for a girls night out, you probably couldn't find a better place to start with in Cary.

We went in December so everything was so cute and festive and warm. There was live music and plenty of nooks to sit in with friends. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable and our drinks were amazing! Highly recommended for a first date or GNO!

Couldn't wait to visit RBF the new Champagne and wine bar downtown Cary because it's honestly in walking distance and a great addition to all the new establishments opening up downtown. Service was great and quick. The wine section is great..But the Ambiance is really what's amazing.. Think High end with a local feel.. (I did this review a few months after they opened and it's been sitting in my drafts, I hope service is still the same)

The best spot for a chill ladies night or even date night. They have live music and a variety of alcoholic/non-alcoholic bevs. Service was also really quick. I appreciated they also served some snacks which helped get more booze in than I would usually haha. Overall highly recommend this place! Can't wait to go again.

Update: brought my wife this trip to NC (she's working on a MW after finishing WSET Diploma) and she thoroughly appreciated all the detail that went into the choices made for vibe and atmosphere here, and the gal playing guitar outside didn't hurt the ambiance of the place. Female-owned, female-driven, living wages, phenomenal curated wine list, nice small bites...geeze! Again...tops for probably the state of NC, let alone Cary. Her favorite glass was the Phillipe Fontaine Champagne--don't miss it! The Chibatta w truffle butter cost almost nothing and broke up everything perfectly-- honestly, if I lived here, I'd make weekly trips here just to take the butter home. I think we dropped a couple hundred exploring the dark side of Champagne, but without my wife's presence the first visit to NC I can say I loved my less expensive Lambrusco and even the Elio Altare Barbera...I'm just a sucker for Italian reds...so if bubbles aren't your thing, you're covered. Bottom line, wifey gives the stamp of approval and she's got the creds...so happy my ground work ended up being worthwhile. The owner must live here and even remembered my visit 4 months ago--again confirming the customer orientation. This place is just too right. Wow! Finally! I was visiting my sis who moved to Cary from Seattle a couple years ago (I'm in Austin myself), and this entire wine scene in the RTP area is a collection of stores that serve wine rather than wine bars that cater to Somms (cool wines not found in a store and small bites to pair w the wine). Look no further--after visiting around a dozen places in Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh, Cary & RTP, I can safely say this place rises to the top for wine enthusiasts. I encountered a couple of honorable mentions for having a well-curated wine list, but no one nailed the trifecta to go with it with food, service, and vibe. I didn't even realize I was speaking with the owner until 15 min. after--that alone shows the interest in the customer experience. The knowledgeable staff steered me to a Lambrusco that was my fave, but I found a bubbly rose from Italy that was a mix of sangiovese and shiraz I loved too. The manchego chips were really good--I need to return hungrier to try more. Did I mention the outdoor patio, free parking, and nice price points? How about the living wage paid? 5 stars with no reservations in my mind at all!

Great ambiance and nice outdoor seating area. It is located behind the building if you are coming from the street. Staff was super helpful. I don't drink champagne, but enjoyed the wine selection. A bit pricey but would go again if in town for the ambiance and helpful staff.

I have to start by saying I'm not a wine kinda girlie. I still really like this place! Their cute snack selections are really yummy and the venue itself is a whole vibe. Excited to get my friends together and go back. Will try my best to explore the drink menu more this time. I got something sparkly and sweet. The restrooms (unisex whoop whoop), are so cool! I ran back to grab my phone and run back in because I had to take pics of pics. They also have live music and a chill outdoor area! Parking confused me but I called and they didn't answer but then they called me back which was cool. Also the dog walking around waiting to be discovered by Vineyard Vines is 10/10 adorable. Very inclusive hangout!

RBF, yes I have one so I had to visit this spot. I liked the drink menu options, the prices vary depending on what you order so it can get expensive (this includes champagne, wine and non-alcoholic options). They also offer snacks, bruschetta and charcuterie boards. I can't wait to return to try one of the boards soon. I will end this review with a phrase from one of the photos, don't tell me to smile. Cheers!

Tucked above downtown Cary, this cocktail club delivers specialty drinks that are both creative and dangerously easy to keep ordering. The vibe is relaxed without trying too hard, making it equally perfect for catching up with friends. The real standout for me though? The massive outdoor patio. Spacious, laid-back, and ideal for lingering over cocktails way longer than originally planned. Cary keeps getting cooler, and this place is a big reason why.

I ordered the cast iron seared wagyu picanha steak, medium rare. When it arrived it was definitely rare, not medium rare, but more importantly it was cold. My sense is that this was due to it being frozen beforehand, but I guess it could have just been sitting around for a long time. The asparagus on the side was also unseasoned and undercooked. The chimichurri sauce was decent, but that's the most positive thing I can say about the meal. My wife got the crispy chicken club and it was OK but nothing extraordinary. I did enjoy eating her fries, though :) The service was good and the vibes were chill, but the food was just not up to par. We both ordered a flight of wine and enjoyed the different wines reasonably well. As mentioned, I think my previous review was a little too generous, and I probably wouldn't come back here unless I couldn't figure out another option in the area.

The menu looked amazing and we were super excited. We were sat at the first table right in front of the door and because it is winter time, it was a little bit unfortunate because every time the door opened it was quite cold. The restaurant itself is incredibly cute and intimate, but these first few tables right in front of the door make for a little bit more of a challenging experience in the winter. I think there might've been some sort of miscommunication with the waitstaff, because nobody came to our table and after about 10 minutes, and after seeing a couple who sat after us get there soup before we had had anyone greet us, we flagged down someone who then became our server. The service was great once we got that figured out! We both agreed the lobster bisque and desserts (creme brûlée and chocolate mouse cake) were the start of the show. For the appetizer, I got the whipped burrata and my spouse got the crab cakes. Two of the three crab cakes were unfortunately a bit over charred, which didn't make for the most pleasant experience. The one that was not over charred was very good! My burrata dip/spread was great! My spouse got the sea bass and I got the filet. Both were okay! I had a glass of red wine that was good and I'd be interested in returning for the flights! They gave us roses before leaving which was a really cute and thoughtful touch for Valentine's Day. Overall, a decent experience and I'd be interested in trying again!
