Crab legs 1/2lb with corn and potato boil with boom sauce for me and tenders for my bf since he doesn't like seafood.
    Justeene G.

First time coming here and wanted to try a boil after hearing how good they are. Got the crab legs 1/2lb and the waiter offered corn and potatoes since it doesn't come with 1/2lb so I said sure. And the boom sauce. Made a good choice with the sauce cause I like sour/salty and it was sooooo good! The menu could be improved since some of the prices were smudged and the waiter had to tell us how much each thing was. But I would definitely recommend and come back!

Cary Crab House is always good. It's fast service, friendly service, it's clean. I preferred the snow crab over the dungeons crab. We get the combo sauce mild. They have added noodles to the menu. Highly recommend for a date night or a larger party. So so good. I love a good boil spot.

Visited this place twice last month. My kids love seafood and Cary Crab did not disappoint. We had the same, very sweet and attentive server both times. Our drinks came quickly and were in large tall plastic tumblers. We ordered steamed snow crab legs with garlic butter, steamed crawfish with just Old Bay seasoning, the soft shell crab basket and steamed shrimp (with the heads) in garlic butter. While I was happily surprised to watch our server return with clear plastic bags filled with food and flip them over to make sure everything was thoroughly seasoned, it was even better watching my family dig in with their bibs on. Our sever provided a small basket of plastic gloves, seafood crackers and wet naps to keep us tidy. We didn't need them; the messier the better! My daughter couldn't believe the size of her crawfish. My shrimp were delicious. My youngest barely spoke because she was so focused on her crab claws. The sign of a perfect meal. All the sides: potatoes, corn, hush puppies were all very yummy and came hot and fresh. Later the kids used the bathroom facilities and they reported it was 'very clean and tidy back there'. The staff were very attentive and friendly and I'm so happy we found this place.

10/10 would recommend There was no wait when I arrived, food came out in a timely manner as well .

Patatoes in a bag in some liquid.

1st time visiting, seated quickly on a Saturday evening, Attentive wait staff. Ordered the shrimp, chicken finger, and catfish baskets. Asked for Cajon sauce for the catfish but was to be charged up to $3 Potatoes came "swimming" in a plastic bag, very unappetizing, chicken fingers were "OK", but not at Bo Jangles level. Shrimp was good, along with the sweet potato waffle fries. Catfish was sour, the oil used to cook tasted burnt, hush puppies were cooked well. This place may be good for the crab and crab cakes, but I do not recommend the fried baskets.

Went during the week and got there before people started trickling in. We had a party of 6 all ordering combos. Service was on point, very attentive. I got the snow crab and shrimp with no head and added boiled eggs and sausage. Sauce wise I think we all ordered the Big Bang which is all the sauces mixed together. We have several of these seafood places where I live back in Florida and they're all good but Cary crab house had the freshest crab out of any of them I've been to. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Service was kind and quick. There was no wait at all as there was only one other table besides ours at the time. The restaurant was very clean. We saw the servers cleaning tables to prepare for people to dine in. My family loves seafood and wanted to give it a go. Pricing, I would say it would probably be better for the boils than the fried baskets. We ordered: Shrimp basket with Cajun Fries Oyster basket with Potatoes Calamari basket with Corn 1 Soda Water Total of $46 with taxes. We had a good time overall. Everything seemed fine. It wasn't until about 15 mins later, I started to feel sick on the stomach. Without to many details, let's say everything came up and out. What a waste! I am not sure if it was food poisoning or something wasn't fresh and my stomach didn't agree. My family all said they didn't feel to good either but I was the only one that became very ill afterwards. I am still recovering as I am typing this. I don't think we will be returning at this point.

First time having seafood broil and it won't be the last. The menu has a great variety, there are options for those that may not care to experience the pounds of deliciousness in a bag. We ordered, shrimp, crab (regular and king size), clams and mussels. They tasted fresh and cooked to perfection! We picked mild spice which was spicy enough to still enjoy all the flavors. The corn was sweet and the potatoes were tender . Our server prepped us with our plastic bibs, extra napkins, buckets and wet napkins. Trust me! You will use all you are given! ‍

crab legs, potatoes, corn, and corn on the cob
    Ashley L.

Ordered the crab legs, clams, crawfish for valentines dinner! A pound of each and then got extra corn, eggs and potatoes! Spent about $100 Overall I will def come back when I have another craving! I would say they do give you a potato and corn so I would not order extra potato again. The clams were kinda salty bc they absorbed so much of the sauce We got the Cajun and garlic spicy and it did have a kick!

It does tend to get busy, so you may have a little wait for your food, but it's definitely worth it. The shrimp Rasta pasta was creamy, flavorful, and had the perfect amount of spice, plus they give a generous portion of shrimp. We sat outside this day, as the weather was mild and there wasn't any available seats inside. We ordered a fried combo and a grilled combo. TrySeafood does a lot of things right. Portion size was fairly generous. We especially love the fact they serve cleaned jumbo shrimp. Food was cooked well, shrimp was tender as was scallops. The broccoli was not tender crisp nor mushy. The potatoes and corn were delicious. While service was friendly, it was a bit slow. Also, I'm not an Old Bay fan. The grilled shrimp were seasoned with Old Bay. While the fish was crispy, I prefer a cornmeal dredge to a flour dredge. Finally, (and this could have been a me thing) the tip percentage on the screen doesn't align with the math. I intended to tip 15% - which is standard especially considering slow service. That should have been approx $8 and when I got home I realized it was approximately $16. You're not given a printed receipt and if you're in a rush and going through the process quickly it's easy to miss. Again I may have missed something, but I'm pretty sure I selected the %15 option. Additionally, I've seen other restaurants that have intentionally include this practice. Would I go again, sure. I'd request a different seasoning blend or a light seasoning and check that math! The lighting was a tad dark but that's ok. It was still cozy and romantic. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. They had a special Valentine's Day menu. She ran down the specials by memory. She took our drink and appetizer order ( the calamari fritti) gave us time to check out the rest of the expansive menu. The drinks came and our app. The lemonades were very sweet and nicely tart from the real fruit purée and lemons. Delightful! The calamari fritti was a knock out, home run. The breading was delicious. The calamari was nice and tender. The marinara was so good. Get this is you like calamari! The sea bass Valentine's Day menu special was cooked to perfection. So flaked and moist. Seared and seasoned perfectly. They should add it to the main menu. The risotto was amazing. Creamy and flavorful. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. The figure 8 stuffed flounder was delicious as well. The crab stuffing was absolutely great! The sauce over top was creamy and worked perfectly with the flounder and crab. It came with the most delicious fresh green beans with a couple nicely seasoned tomatoes. The rice pilaf was also really nice. Around this time I realized the Valentine's Day menu had Oysters Rockefeller ... and I love oysters Rockefeller. So I put in for an order of those. Best oysters Rockefeller I've had in a long time! Add these to the menu! For dessert... we ordered the apple crumb at vanilla bean ice cream. Perfect way to end out meal. The…read moremini crab cakes were a perfect starter and I enjoyed their very flavorful but not spicy version of their popular shrimp & grits. Nice atmosphere inside, but recommend reservations as they fill up quickly. The Deets: Some friends/coworkers and I decided to catch up over a meal and we decided on trying out this location of Cape Fear Seafood Co. on Lake Pine Drive. I had been to the one located in the Village District (formerly Cameron Village) of DTR in the past and knew of this one opening up through Yelp. If you know me, I am usually not one for seafood but remember I had a pretty good experience at the one in DTR. We noted that it would be a good idea to have a reservation so one was made. Good thing, this place gets crowded fast, even around the 5pm point. Upon arrival, we were promptly shown to a table with menus. While walking in, this restaurant has that beach type feeling with brightly painted areas and subtle pelagic decor without going overboard. The bar area gave a warm, inviting vibe. Back to the menu, their menu is pretty expansive but not over the top multiple pages. I think even the non-seafood lover can find something to like here. We started with hush puppies for the table and I went with the appetizer sized mini crab cakes for myself. I loved the mini crab cakes and the lemon beurre blanc sauce with them, just enough for a starter and tasted great. The hush puppies were good as well but just a tiny bit too brown for me, they were a little bit more done than I'd like. I like them more of a golden finish instead of brown, just my preference. For my main dish, I went with their Cape Fear Shrimp & Grits. They are a pretty popular choice here and I remember liking them at the DTR location. They remained a great choice, they were delicious. They are very flavorful and enjoyable without being spicy, which I like as I am non-spicy food person and it seems most everywhere does their shrimp & grits spicy. I find this take on them refreshing. I would have liked more cheese grits in the serving as it seems to be like a half serving, however the shrimp as well as the creamy sauce were plentiful. Service did a good job here, checking on us periodically. In all, I liked this experience here at Cape Fear Seafood Co. for the most part and would enjoy visiting again in the future.

Never want to leave a negative review for a small business but the lack of response is disappointing. We dined in one of the private dining rooms on 5/10/26 (I believe it was called Bourbon St) with Purcell as our head waiter. To say the service experience was rough would be an understatement. I come from a service background (lead bartender, dining captain, private dining captain) experience specializing in steakhouses . His table demeanor was lacking including references to my father in law being "the decision maker" for the table. He made inappropriate references to the women at the table "just being in charge of the baby. I believe he was joking but it certainly didn't land. When it came to the drink service every drink was auctioned with no reference to seat numbers. This could have been support staff but the following actions lead me to believe it was order taking. When appetizers arrived once again all dishes were auctioned and 3 were missing with 2 dishes being offered that weren't ordered. No apologies, just "must have been for the wrong table". When entrees arrived once again no seat numbers were known. Sides arrived sporadically over a period of 5 minutes. In addition I asked for my ribeye with Oscar Style on the side. It came out on top. The support staff removed the plate and it came back in less than a minute with the same steak and the Oscar Style now on the side. This is an allergy issue as the person I was planning on sharing the steak with has a shellfish allergy. Dessert and after dinner cocktails followed. Two of the ladies asked for Baileys in the Espresso Martini. When the Baileys didn't come Purcell said it would come later and then brought it back and dumped it into the already made Espresso Martini. When you are offering a premium experience at a premium price I believe you just apologize and remake the drink. This is all to say that we have visited Rey's restaurant for almost every special occasion as a family and this left a bitter taste in my mouth. I understand Mother's Day is a hectic holiday but this experience was well below the standard. The lack of care after the fact by management after multiple attempts is much more concerning. Sad to say we won't be returning and can no longer recommend this restaurant.

Service was wonderful, check in on the Yelp app ahead of time so you don't have to wait as long…read morebecause this place gets BUSY! For a good reason as well. Even though this time we did not see the robot which is always cool we did have excellent service. Our waitress was quick and attentive, she always helped in any way she could and make great recommendations. It's pricey but for a nice before surgery for my kiddo, totally worth it! Food is wonderful, we did the AYCE silver meals, the youngest did not eat enough for that to been worth the price but the gentleman made up for it. I would love for them to offer more side options or sauce options. The place was pretty clean, busy and a great place for date night, family night, or group get togethers

Honestly, I don't know why this place got such great reviews more than Gen KBBQ. They honestly do…read morenot deserve it. I came here when I was visiting my in laws, so naturally, I wanted to expose them to KBBQ. Unfortunately, I picked this place because a lot of reviews said its the best and allat, when in truth, this place is one of the worst KBBQ I have ever visited. Not only they stopped serving lettuce wrap (sure, they have it in the menu but they didn't stock it because their lettuce supplier increased the price or whatever), they did not offer any other wrap options like a decent kbbq should have (rice wrap, radish wrap, or shisho leave...etc). The meat quality? It's the cheapest cut you could ever get. The kalbi cut is so thin and tasted old (spoiler alert, they should be thicker and higher quality..), the other unseasoned meat cut is lower quality too. The seasoned meat were so bad I had hard time enjoying it. The bulgogi did not taste like a propee bulgogi and once again, tasted old like it has been in the fridge for too long. The spicy bulgogi was so grainy and not spicy at all, almost like they're using low quality gochugaru. Honestly, you will be much better off buying your own ingredients at h-mart or any asian grocery than going to this place. The only saving grace was the kind server who tends us often. 10/10 will not recommend.

Beignets, beignets, beignets!…read more This place is perfect for a girls night, date night, friends night, solo night... honestly any night! I came here for drinks and dessert with friends, and the star of the show was definitely the beignets. As someone who has visited New Orleans and tried the real deal, I thought I knew what good beignets tasted like. Turns out, I did not have to travel that far after all! The beignets here are like a cross between a classic beignet and a croissant. Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of indulgent. I will definitely be back to check out more of the menu, but no matter what, I am saving room for the... say it with me... beignets!!

The Service was outstanding thanks to Hayley. Her recommendations for pairing the drinks with the food were flawless, and each drink was prepared like a work of art. I started with the raw oysters, paired with a glass of Rose, which I loved. They switched from the Halibut with Fennel to Mahi with Forbidden Rice. The rice is black and inky and potent and extraordinary, but it overwhelmed the fish completely. Still greatful I got to experience it, but I would pair it with something more gamy like lamb or goat. The Pecan pie with warm salted caramel ice cream was nothing short of a spiritual experience, and Hayley's recommendation to pair it with Rum Flip was perfect. Yes, I Ubered. Overall, this one is going to be a frequent hangout.
