This gem is my new favorite in the Corporate Republic of Chaindale. I had jambalaya. I don't know if I'm ever going to order anything else, but I probably will since it was made so well I'm curious to see what else they've mastered. Collard greens had a nice kick. The people are really nice. They sell kinds of fish (and cook them) that I didn't see at any online menu, like barramundi, without charging stupid money. The lobster prices are a little steep, but a 12 ounce tail is not coming from a chicken lobster. Even though I am, I sorta don't want to rave about this place because yeah, that's a teeny parking lot. Off peak no problem but pretty soon weekend dinner rush will require a shuttle bus once word gets around that this place is the real deal. You might look at their online menu and see a lot of fried stuff but there's plenty of options to steer clear of ultra processed food and get some of that doubleplusgood protein. OTOH, two things: salad served in a plastic basket on top of foil is a fail, get bowls, and please please turn down the lights. This is the second place in Chaindale with stupid overbright. At least it's not that cold blue daylight temp that makes me think I'm about to have an MRI. But none of that should stop you from trying this place. I hope they do very well. This place almost tricked me walking in you think it's a fish market and to my surprise it's also a restaurant. You order at the register and they bring it to your table, the gentleman serving us was super friendly and helpful and attentive his name was Eric. Really everyone there was awesome and accommodating. The food was ahmazzzzzzzing!!!! The catfish was seasoned perfectly with a crispy batter and soft flaky fish inside, the low boil was hearty and flavorful with plenty of meat and veggies the ratio was perfect. The jambalaya was also super flavorful and generous with the meats and had a beautiful spice to it but not overwhelming. The hush puppies were delicious on their own but over the top delicious with the honey butter to dip in. I was in town for work and I loved it so much I came twice. The second time was just as great and Jessica the general manager was just as nice. My first stop when returning back to Raleigh is A'nets hands down!! read more

This is a fish market/ restaurant tucked away behind KFC in Knightdale. The food is super fresh and cooked perfectly. The fried and grilled shrimp were well seasoned and generous portions. I also ordered the fried oysters and they were fantastic. We had calamari and the house made sauce as an appetizer. Not quite as good as other places I have tried, but it is pretty good. I recommend the crab salad as a side. The fries are good and hot. It was a really nice Mothers Day meal! Service was fast and full of southern hospitality! read more

The shrimp, delicious, tartar sauce reminds me of summers on Coney Island, the attitude a whole other story. The first time I visited the location I had a very sweet young lady who helped me pick out what I needed. The second time I found her there again but she was on her way out, she called another young lady who was off to the side to complete my order, I instructed her to fry my French fries hard, when she brought my food to me I told her they still looked soft to which she grabbed them & brought them back black. First time here. The parking was outrageous. Barely anywhere to park. That told me that this place must be good. We went inside to do a carry out order. It was packed & the mine was long. People were standing everywhere, so it was hard to tell where the line ended. We got in line and waited...& waited...& waited. There were people who came in after us who got their order taken randomly by a young man behind the fresh seafood counter. That was irritating because we waited forever just to get to that part of the line. Anyway, we finally got to order. We got the combo with fried whiting & shrimp with corn and potatoes. Receiving the order didn't take that long. I couldn't wait to get home to try this food out. I ate the shrimp & corn. It was yummy but the shrimp were over cooked. My friend had the fish and the potatoes. He devoured them. He absolutely loved it. I will definitely go back to try them out again. My sister and I had lunch here. From the outside it doesn't look like much. The front of the restaurant is the fish market. Lots of fresh seafood and fish selections to choose from. We decided to eat there instead of takeout. You order at the front and then find a table and your food is brought to you. While the dinner portions are pricey, you get a TON of food and you can tell it's fresh, not frozen. I felt like I was eating seafood in Calabash at one of those seafood places down by the water, that fresh! The hush puppies were so light and crispy, I believe those hush puppies were the best I have ever eaten. I will definitely be back and highly recommend if your in the mood for some serious seafood. Wow, just wow! So hard to put into words. I felt like I was in New England or maybe by the dock in Queens. What an experience. I think I broke the house record by eating 38 king crab legs in 7 minutes. Keep the butter coming. Am I right. I never had to ask once. It's like they staged a server behind my table. The lady at the register was super friendly as she explained to me how things worked, we say down to review the menu then went back to the counter to order. We started with the crab dip. I wasn't a fan of the bread served with it but the crab dip itself was pretty good!the fried fish was cooked perfectly. Those potatoes were on point! Absolutely delicious. It came up to $89 with tipis but here the reasons I'd rather go to a full service restaurant- - you order at the counter they bring the food over - self serve drinks - plastic utensils - you bus your own table - oysters were not separated from the shell like other seafood restaurants - grouper bites for $14.99. This place is a hidden gem! I would have never known this place was here if a coworker hadn't told me about it. You order at their outside window and then you can sit outside at their 2 picnic tables or you can sit inside. They have fresh seafood made to order to take home. And they also have a menu full of different entrees and sides. I tried the Shrimp and grits. They give you a lot! Of grits and shrimp. It's topped with onions, cheddar cheese, and tomatoes. The grits don't have flavor and is not creamy how i like... you'll have to season your own. The crab cake is mostly crab! And for $9 a piece I had hoped it to be and they didn't disappoint. My friend got the flounder and the fried okra and those were phenomenal! I'm definitely getting these the next time I go back. I just wish this was closer to my house! read more

That's it. I am done! I wrote a review in 2021 and have been back twice since then. I was trying my best to give them a second andd 3rd try but in all cases it was like how much food would you like with your plate of salt. God help anyone with hypertension eating at A'Nets. Once again I asked the other people who were with me if it was just me but nope, we all felt the food could have been half decent if it weren't so salty. When for goodness sake, will cooks, chefs or whatever they want to call themselves, understand the difference between seasoning and salting, Put the dang gone salt shaker down, especially when other seasonings like Old Bay already have high levels of salt mixed in. What kind of cook doesn't understand balancing flavors and using salt as "just" an enhancement. Geez! What A total deal breaker. I am so done and so mad at myself for eating there again. I've never paid $21 for shrimp and grits unless it was a four-star restaurant. In addition, the shrimp were very small and they still vains in them which are dirty shrimp. They may want to think about going a little less on the cheese because it was over cheesy. Needless to say I won't be buying that again because that is way too expensive! read more

Great seafood. It's not only a restaurant but a seafood market. If your ordering food, you can find a paper menu on top of the seafood display. At the end of the display is a register where you can place your order. Once you've placed your order you can have a seat in the area adjacent to where you ordered. They will bring your food to you. I've been twice. The first time I ordered the crab cake platter. The 2nd time I ordered the catfish. Both were delicious but if I had to choose I would get the catfish again. The food is overpriced for the quality and quantity. Crab cakes were way overcooked as was the trout. The senior plate was very sparse-about 2 tsp of slaw, a very small piece of fish and too many bland french fries. The crab cake plate was missing the hushpuppies. You have to order at the register and they bring out the food in plastic baskets with a piece of parchment. The parchment was soaked with grease underneath the food. They give you plastic utensils and you have to bus your own table. Had I known all this I certainly would not have tipped at the register. You have to pay before you even get your food which I don't think is right. I doubt that I will be back. read more

This restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with other businesses. Luckily we came at a good time and day of the week (Monday around 2:30 pm) so parking was not an issue. There are some booths inside of the business but not a lot. You can dine in or order to go. We ordered our dine in food order at the counter with the manager and we paid the cashier Renne. We ordered from the main menu although there are some daily specials available at cheaper prices. Some of the specials have limited sides such as fries and coleslaw. A large variety of seafood is available in this establishment. Fresh seafood can also be brought for you to take home and prepare yourself later. Or you can buy meals that the restaurant prepares for you. The seafood looked fresh and was displayed in the front of the business. The food was brought out to us in a timely manner. I ordered a catfish combo with two sides and your choice of bread such as jalapeño cornbread, toast or a biscuit for $10.99. I chose the macaroni and cheese, red potatoes and a cheddar biscuit. We didn't like the macaroni. It was too watery and needed more seasoning. The potatoes were ok. They tasted like they were just boiled and seasoning was put on them after. The catfish was good. Two large pieces of fish were provided. The biscuit was good but a little too brown for my liking. I feel like you get a good amount of food for the price. The manager that was working was very friendly and made sure that we enjoyed the food and had everything that we needed such as condiments after she brought our food to us. Yes to A'Nets!! I've been twice in one week because it was so good! I was recommended this place by my BIL and it did not disappoint! It is located off of the main road tucked away inside a side street, with a small private parking lot. They sell fresh seafood on ice, as well as a full cooked menu. They have some seating in the back which I did not get to see - we opted to sit outside on the picnic tables. I ordered catfish and it was soo tender and moist! They also have this special tartar sauce that's different in the best way possible. I am not one to eat coleslaw but I love theirs! It reminds me of a salad with poppy seed dressing. I've also tried their lobster bisque soup and clam chowder, both bowl size, both completely devoured by yours truly. Price is a little higher than I'm used to but completely and utterly worth it!
