Environment: Located in the suburbs Cleanliness: 2 of 5 stars; Leadership/Management should ensure the restaurant is cleaned thoroughly at close of business as well as before the start of business each day; I needed to use the restroom at the end of our visit but thought about how the restaurant was presented upon entry and waited until I got home! The Welcome mat and surrounding floor area where we were seated had scattered crumbs/debri all around them! You shouldn't "judge a book by it's cover," so instead of leaving, I sat down and gave the food a try! Maybe it was an off-day, however first impressions are everything to me and the 101 Kitchen didn't come through with me for presentation yesterday! Food: Very tasty and plentiful; yet it was something about that steak that didn't taste quite like steak or maybe it was the fact that the Steak Exquisite Meal came with flank steak which tasted like a cross between sirloin, ribeye and something undecided! The (2) steaks came on a bed of fried potatoes with an egg for about $30! I'm one and done with this meal! My wife had pork belly bowl in which she didn't like; she sent it back to the kitchen and opted into a chicken and blueberry waffle plate for about $20! The chicken was thick and flavorful as well as the delectable Belgian waffle! We each had (1) glass pineapple juice($4/glass)! We spent $65 total with a tip! They have a full-service bar which might get my patronage later on this year because once again, they have exceptional service! Service: We received very prompt fast service and we're served our food/drink within 15-20 minutes of being seated!

This place was great! The vibes are nice, with tropical music, nice furniture, and decorations. Our waitress was kind and attentive; I ordered some birria tacos which I definitely enjoyed and would recommend! We also had dessert, tres leches and vanilla flan; both were sweet enough but not in excess. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Googled a quick spot I could drop in to get me a quick lunch while I was in the area and 202 Kitchen came up. The restaurant is easily accessible with plenty of free packing. Upon entry there was a nice Spanish vibe going on with the music. Esthetically, it was very pleasing and nicely set up and decorated. I was greeted and seated promptly. Drinks upon sitting. Looked at the menu and decided to try the grits. The shrimp were succulent and the grits had a nice kick. The only thing I would have wanted added would be cheese. Overall my experience and the food were amazing. It's definitely worth the stop. PS....They serve breakfast, brunch lunch, & dinner all day.

I have NEVER had a bad meal here. I absolutely love Melody (our waitress). This place is highly underrated. They have events every weekend as well as live music!!! The French toast is to die for! Don't even get me started on their fried chicken!! Whew! This place is hands down a great place to stop and grab a meal.

The shrimp and grits were ridiculously spicy. Super spicy - shrimp and grits- only flavor is hot! Nice portion size but so spicy I can't even enjoy.

Philly Cheesesteak. Split in half. Delish. Great textured seasoned fries!

We came here for lunch, so it wasn't crowded in this spacious, pretty restaurant. Great service and excellent food. I loved my Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. The fries were especially delicious with a unique texture. Wasn't sure if that means twice fried but nevertheless really made this meal. Lots of parking. Would come back for dinner to check out the evening vibe.

We've enjoyed going to 101 Kitchen. It has a great vibe and great music. My go-to lunch/dinner item is the 101 burger. My husband loves the Argentine Churrasco, it comes with a beautiful salad. The kiddo gets chicken tenders and French fries- more delicious items. There is a bar where you can enjoy a good drink menu. It looks like there's a set up for live music. Definitely a great place to bring friends/family.

I saw this restaurant on social media. I had to try it. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. The table we were sat at had dishes on it but the waitress said it was clean. I moved the condiments and my fingers got syrup on them. The table was still sticky. Obviously it was not clean. The waitress wiped it and offered another table. We said it was okay. We ordered our food. I ordered the peaches & waffle. The menu said candied peaches, cinnamon sugar something, I believe it was pecans, whip cream & waffle. Nope. I got canned peaches on top of a waffle. The waffle itself was good. Another ordered grits and they looked old, like mashed potatoes. Very clumpy. Another person ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich. Her bread was soggy and chicken was slightly salty. The home fries were good.

Enjoyed a chicken parm sub for lunch. The place was nearly empty so was surprised how long it took to cook. Menu was extensive. Liked that we had table service and were not rushed to finish.

I love the vibe as soon as you walk in. The place is decorated very chic. You can take a nice picture with their decor as the background. I LOVED the food. It was hot and flavored well. The portion sizes are great and shareable if you aren't a heavy eater. The service was great and they have great jelly! I definitely recommend coming here. The price is worth the value and you will enjoy this. I came from out of town and would definitely want to come back if I'm in the area again.

While in the Raleigh area for the weekend, we were looking for a good place to eat and found 101 Kitchen which seemed to be a local favorite. Thankfully, we were able to be seated right away since we were starving. I absolutely loved the decor at this restaurant. It was set up beautifully with all the different mirrors on the wall and the super cute flower backdrop area. Our waitress came over right away once we were seated and described the food as Latin-inspired which made me very excited. After looking over the menu it was hard to decide on what to eat since they serve Brunch all day and serve Lunch until 9pm but I decided on Kevin's Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which was a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon jam (yes, bacon jam), cheese and veggies on a ciabatta roll. The sandwich was absolutely amazing!!! The chicken was moist and flavorful, the bacon jam was delicious and the ciabatta roll was super soft. I highly recommend this restaurant for those either in the Raleigh area or planning to visit. I loved the different food items on the menu and they even have live music on certain nights. The staff was very friendly as well. Definitely check them out if you can!

101 kitchen is delicious! I love the Latin fusion food. They have such a large menu I know everyone will find something they want to eat. From breakfast items like French toast to chilaquiles! From chicken tenders to salmon salad! Something for everyone of all ages! I got the chilaquiles but they used verde sauce and the fried pork belly. They fried pork belly softens in the sauce. So if you're like me and like it crispy ask them to put it on top or on the side. The portions are great. The staff and owner were wonderful. I love the decor of the place and there is a nice back drop for pictures.

I called ahead the day before for a reservation. I arrived and it wasn't busy. The restaurant has a nice mirror decor throughout. The restaurant is well-lit and has comfortable seating. I wasn't welcomed upon entrance. I didn't see a host station. I saw my party already seated and I joined the table. I ordered the whiskey sour and the Eggcellent Pork Bowl. The cocktail was decent. There was puréed orange of some sort in it that I wasn't in love with. The orange bits made it difficult to drink because it kept getting stuck in the straw. The menu referenced the Eggcellent Pork Bowl came with crispy tortillas, with zesty salsa verde, topped with savory 101 pork belly, queso fresco, sour cream, garlic aioli, white onion, cilantro, and crowned with a perfectly fried egg. Very sauce heavy with very little pork belly. May as well not even mention 101 pork belly for the dish. For this to be a signature dish I expected better. What little pork belly was provided in this dish was all fatty meat. A disappointment for me. I love pork belly. A stretch from being the breakfast fiesta described on the menu. It arrived at the table cold and the chips were dissolving into the dish. There was a good flavor but overall I left unsatisfied. I did not enjoy this. The chips should be served on the side. Customer service was average. Nothing here to write home about. I don't know when I will return.

You order your food at the front (bar) and then grab a seat wherever you want. I got a mango margarita which they didn't skimp on the tequila in it! Was sweet enough where I didn't notice at first how much tequila was in it (a win in my book). For dinner, I got the pernil w/cuero which was full of flavor. Tostones were nice and crunchy without being greasy. The rice was just okay, I prefer a bit more sazon and sofrito. I think this restaurant would do well in a more inhabited area instead of connected to the mall but the guy working stated they do very well on the weekends, so I hope it brings them continued business!

My wife said the bathrooms were dirty. Seating and ordering are on your own, there is no service. Good menu options, and good portions for the price. The pulled pork and fried plantains were really good. Everything else was fine, but nothing special. The name is a bit misleading. Filipino lechon is an extremely tasty slow roasted pig with candy like bark. This was just pulled pork. Doubtful that'd we'd return.
