Incredible place. The reviews don't lie. This is the best catfish and hush puppies I've ever had. The staff is so warm and welcoming. We also had the Mac and cheese and collards, both great. Can't wait to come back and try everything. Wonderful place. Highly recommend!

I arrived right at opening time. The dining room was clean and well-lit. I purchased the flounder and shrimp entree. The Flounder is very good. Seasoned just right and palatable for the location (Apex). Not overly and under seasoned. Mac and cheese are good - flavorful, creamy, and cheesy. Hush puppies could be better. The texture wasn't my liking. The collards were perfect. The collards were seasoned with pork, and it's very hard to mess up anything with pork. Overall, good food and great customer service.

Whose grandma is in the back cooking this. I'm from the south so I know some good seafood and this is what I call some good soul food. The fish is flaky and fresh. I'm definitely coming back here.

Want home cooking you don't have to cook? Then head to the fish house eatery. Friendly & Smiling service - Clean environment - Space to eat - Ample menu choices - If you can't find something on the menu that works for you, you might not be trying enough.

My mom and daughter were in town for a wedding and I treated them to dinner at this restaurant. My mom is one of the best soul food cooks I know and she thought that the food was amazing! And it was. The service was great and the restaurant was clean. I'll be returning soon.

Today, I had the bang bang shrimp, collards, mac n' cheese, and hushpuppies. This time I remembered to take a picture. You can tell looking at the plate it's going to have a lot of flavor. Another delicious visit! Highly recommend.

The Fish House Eatery is open in Apex. My mom and I dined in for lunch a few weeks ago and had a good experience. I ordered the lunch plate with flounder, cabbage and mac & cheese with a lemonade. The fish was just okay but I really enjoyed the sides, I'll definitely be returning soon.

Outstanding. Three picky eaters left happy. Mac and cheese in particular were exceptional. Baked chicken was a surprise hit.

They blocked off part of the parking lot, had live music going, and the whole place had that fun, lively energy you want on a holiday like this. Because of the crowd, the menu was trimmed down to the more popular items, but it still had plenty of good options. I ended up getting their Irish eggrolls, they're hand‑rolled and stuffed with house‑cured corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese, then sliced and served with their Thousand Island dressing. Basically, it's all the flavors of a Reuben wrapped up in a crispy shell, simple, rich, and exactly the kind of thing that works well at an event like this because its quick and its finger food you can eat while watching the band,. Overall, the atmosphere was great, parking is such a hassle though during these events on the weekend because H-Mart nearby is already so packed. You can park on the other side of the building if you don't mind a brief walk though.

Had spicy burger, french fries, ranch and hot buffalo for fry dipping and a pernicious on tap. The beer was large, cold, and fresh, tasted as expected when a place goes through the keg in the right amount of time. The burger was huge, not that it was hard to eat by being too thick, but like a medium rare smash burger that was not dry as a bone. It was the Spicy burger. Although not as hot as it name would suggest, it was delicious! The fries were hot and fresh, and the hot buffalo had a nice kick. Service was very good. The bartender was nice, gave me advice on beers and food items, and answered all my questions with a smile. Pretty fast delivery, but not so fast as you would think to yourself..."what was that so fast"? LOL. She checked back in a timely manner on both the food and drink and was all and all very approachable. Def would go back to try other items in the near future. thx.

They are accommodating, attentive, and genuinely seem to care about the customer experience. The food is consistently good. Their burgers and wraps are among the best in the area, and the fish and chips are excellent. I recently had a friend visiting who is gluten-free, and I was impressed by how many options Rudy's offered and how willing they were to accommodate special requests. It was a great reminder that they do a lot more than typical sports bar fare. Beyond the food, Rudy's does a great job supporting the community with kids' nights, trivia, and other events that bring people together. As someone who has lived in Apex for more than 10 years, I'd consider Rudy's a local staple at this point. That's why it's disappointing to see people criticize a locally owned establishment over things like a delayed takeout order or not being provided a brunch menu. The locals know why Rudy's has been successful for so long. If you're looking for great food, friendly service, and a place that genuinely feels like part of the community, Rudy's is always worth a visit.

So, we assumed we had confused with another restaurant that offered brunch. So, very soon after ordering, (less than 1 minute), my wife asked a nice lady bussing the table next to us about brunch. She, of course, said yes, until 2:00. We told her we just ordered but didn't get a brunch menu, but that's why we were there. So she instantly saw our waitress (Sarah L.) and asked if we could cancel the order and order brunch. Her immediate response was "no, already placed the order". Sorry. Didn't even try. 12-15 minutes later our food arrived and we ate, but left disgusted, disappointed, and vowed not to return. But, we have enjoyed eating at Rudy's. We felt the waitress handled our request very flippantly and nonchalantly. But we'll probably be back anyway.

We made reservations ahead of time online since it was a Holiday. First off the front staff was super friendly and got us to our table right away. Love the feel and the decor. The lighting was a tad dark but that's ok. It was still cozy and romantic. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. They had a special Valentine's Day menu. She ran down the specials by memory. She took our drink and appetizer order ( the calamari fritti) gave us time to check out the rest of the expansive menu. The drinks came and our app. The lemonades were very sweet and nicely tart from the real fruit purée and lemons. Delightful! The calamari fritti was a knock out, home run. The breading was delicious. The calamari was nice and tender. The marinara was so good. Get this is you like calamari! The sea bass Valentine's Day menu special was cooked to perfection. So flaked and moist. Seared and seasoned perfectly. They should add it to the main menu. The risotto was amazing. Creamy and flavorful. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. The figure 8 stuffed flounder was delicious as well. The crab stuffing was absolutely great! The sauce over top was creamy and worked perfectly with the flounder and crab. It came with the most delicious fresh green beans with a couple nicely seasoned tomatoes. The rice pilaf was also really nice. Around this time I realized the Valentine's Day menu had Oysters Rockefeller ... and I love oysters Rockefeller. So I put in for an order of those. Best oysters Rockefeller I've had in a long time! Add these to the menu! For dessert... we ordered the apple crumb at vanilla bean ice cream. Perfect way to end out meal. We cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! Save us a table! Kudos to the staff and chef / cooks. Yall did an amazing job.

Nice atmosphere inside, but recommend reservations as they fill up quickly. The Deets: Some friends/coworkers and I decided to catch up over a meal and we decided on trying out this location of Cape Fear Seafood Co. on Lake Pine Drive. I had been to the one located in the Village District (formerly Cameron Village) of DTR in the past and knew of this one opening up through Yelp. If you know me, I am usually not one for seafood but remember I had a pretty good experience at the one in DTR. We noted that it would be a good idea to have a reservation so one was made. Good thing, this place gets crowded fast, even around the 5pm point. Upon arrival, we were promptly shown to a table with menus. While walking in, this restaurant has that beach type feeling with brightly painted areas and subtle pelagic decor without going overboard. The bar area gave a warm, inviting vibe. Back to the menu, their menu is pretty expansive but not over the top multiple pages. I think even the non-seafood lover can find something to like here. We started with hush puppies for the table and I went with the appetizer sized mini crab cakes for myself. I loved the mini crab cakes and the lemon beurre blanc sauce with them, just enough for a starter and tasted great. The hush puppies were good as well but just a tiny bit too brown for me, they were a little bit more done than I'd like. I like them more of a golden finish instead of brown, just my preference. For my main dish, I went with their Cape Fear Shrimp & Grits. They are a pretty popular choice here and I remember liking them at the DTR location. They remained a great choice, they were delicious. They are very flavorful and enjoyable without being spicy, which I like as I am non-spicy food person and it seems most everywhere does their shrimp & grits spicy. I find this take on them refreshing. I would have liked more cheese grits in the serving as it seems to be like a half serving, however the shrimp as well as the creamy sauce were plentiful. Service did a good job here, checking on us periodically. In all, I liked this experience here at Cape Fear Seafood Co. for the most part and would enjoy visiting again in the future.
