Yeah it's alright in a pinch, I guess. No hate, just not planning on returning. Not to be mean, but this was a bland experience. Except for the broiled catfish. That wasn't bland, but it was extremely heavy on the pepper. FYI, lemon juice helps that a lot. Hope you like lemon juice. The service was nice and it was roomy enough. The gentleman bussing tables did one heck of a job. The meal didn't take too long to come out and it seems they cater to seniors, which is a big win with me. In my world, older folks should be taken good care of. A.

One of my coworkers recommended this restaurant a while back and we had a taste for seafood so we decided to go since we were in the area. The restaurant is spacious with tables and booths, and has a nautical and aquatic theme throughout the business. We arrived during lunch hours and there was a good amount of people dining in but we didn't have to wait for a table. Our server, TJ was helpful and personable. He took our drink orders and brought over a basket of complimentary hush puppies and butter. They were warm and tasted good. The restaurant has daily specials. I decided to order the grilled mahi mahi fish special. The meal comes with two sides. I wanted a salad but it isn't included in the sides so there was $3.50 up charge to add it to my meal. I got the house salad with French dressing, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, croutons, and greens. I didn't get the onions on my salad. The salad was really good and a nice size for a side salad. I chose to have my mahi mahi blackened and chose fries as my second side. The fish was good but the fries were over cooked. Once brought to TJ's attention he brought out more quickly. I would return and try more menu items.

I just ate at Captain Stanley's for the first time, but I hope it won't be the last. The decor isn't fancy; about what you'd expect from a seafood joint at the shore. My Calabash-style fried entree was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. My only complaint was that they don't seem to post their menu online. (Okay, I'm funny that way - when I go to a new restaurant I like to scope out my options ahead of time.)

New management. Food is cold and mushy when brought to table. Service was slow. I would go somewhere else.

Food is excellent as are their prices. Fried scallops are divine as are their shrimp. They don' t skimp on the portions either.

Not sure why the good reviews. Staff was rude. Scallops were horrible; way over cooked. Catfish was burned. Only thing good was salad.

I came here for drinks and dessert with friends, and the star of the show was definitely the beignets. As someone who has visited New Orleans and tried the real deal, I thought I knew what good beignets tasted like. Turns out, I did not have to travel that far after all! The beignets here are like a cross between a classic beignet and a croissant. Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of indulgent. I will definitely be back to check out more of the menu, but no matter what, I am saving room for the... say it with me... beignets!!

The Service was outstanding thanks to Hayley. Her recommendations for pairing the drinks with the food were flawless, and each drink was prepared like a work of art. I started with the raw oysters, paired with a glass of Rose, which I loved. They switched from the Halibut with Fennel to Mahi with Forbidden Rice. The rice is black and inky and potent and extraordinary, but it overwhelmed the fish completely. Still greatful I got to experience it, but I would pair it with something more gamy like lamb or goat. The Pecan pie with warm salted caramel ice cream was nothing short of a spiritual experience, and Hayley's recommendation to pair it with Rum Flip was perfect. Yes, I Ubered. Overall, this one is going to be a frequent hangout.

It does tend to get busy, so you may have a little wait for your food, but it's definitely worth it. The shrimp Rasta pasta was creamy, flavorful, and had the perfect amount of spice, plus they give a generous portion of shrimp. The fried fish was cooked well and tasted great, and the steamed vegetables with the garlic butter seasoning were also really good. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

We sat outside this day, as the weather was mild and there wasn't any available seats inside. We ordered a fried combo and a grilled combo. TrySeafood does a lot of things right. Portion size was fairly generous. We especially love the fact they serve cleaned jumbo shrimp. Food was cooked well, shrimp was tender as was scallops. The broccoli was not tender crisp nor mushy. The potatoes and corn were delicious. While service was friendly, it was a bit slow. Also, I'm not an Old Bay fan. The grilled shrimp were seasoned with Old Bay. While the fish was crispy, I prefer a cornmeal dredge to a flour dredge. Finally, (and this could have been a me thing) the tip percentage on the screen doesn't align with the math. I intended to tip 15% - which is standard especially considering slow service. That should have been approx $8 and when I got home I realized it was approximately $16. You're not given a printed receipt and if you're in a rush and going through the process quickly it's easy to miss. Again I may have missed something, but I'm pretty sure I selected the %15 option. Additionally, I've seen other restaurants that have intentionally include this practice. Would I go again, sure. I'd request a different seasoning blend or a light seasoning and check that math!
