Everywhere you look is decorated with artful decors. The rooftop is almost like a glass house allowing the natural light enter with the green feels organic yet so elegant. Food: I was in a caviar mood. Hubby was in lobster roll mood. Well- they had both and they had both of those in one plate. We tried the classic caviar with house made potato chips and crème fraiche. Classic yet so delish- the house made chips were amazing. Delicate. Crème fraiche was just perfect. We ordered lobster roll which was the best I've had. But what was out of the world- dish was mini lobster roll and crab roll with caviar. I felt that this was the super star of what we ordered today - absolutely amazing. Honestly, I have been here 4 times now, and I'm just done giving out chances. Yes yes the atmosphere is beautiful and bougie, but if you're coming here to, oh I don't know, EAT GOOD FOOD, then this ain't that. I ordered the green bean Bibb lettuce salad and added salmon. I am telling you, the salmon that came was TINY. Like child portion tiny. I decided to wrap it up and take home, because there were other things on our table I wanted to eat....went home and got my trusty food scale out. The salmon was 2.3 ounces. Keep in mind the price of the salad was $24. To add the salmon it was AN ADDITIONAL $21. Just sit with that for a minute....no amount of vibes and atmosphere are going to make feeling like a sucker work for me. The fried artichoke appetizer was excellent. The warm chocolate chip cookies, great. My husband ordered the Chinese chicken salad and we both noted that the salad was smaller than when we visited 6 months ago, and it was 80% wontons for $32. I took the stairs to the third floor rooftop so I could see a little of the store on my way up. The dining area is a beautiful, serene space with a fountain the center of the room and four artificial - though really good looking - olive trees in planters. Our server was really nice and friendly. We both ordered the Chinese chicken salad. The portions were a good size, the crispy noodles were really light, the sesame dressing was light but flavorful. My only complaint was that for the price, I was surprised at the amount of dark meat chicken. Overall, I would recommend this place for a special occasion lunch. The food... ok let's just get this out of the way, yes the food is overpriced but, it's what I expected from a restaurant like this. My $36 Lobster Roll was good, not the best I've eating but it was good. I got $11 French Fries for my side, nothing fancy about them. We all know of others places to get better fries for less... My wife got $42 Honey Glazed Salmon. She got $12 Green Beans for her side. While we both loved the ambiance and decor, I don't see us visiting RH on a regular. I think if you experience dining at RH rooftop restaurant once, that's enough. An anniversary dinner or birthday dinner is the only way we would ever come to back to RH. We were at the rooftop restaurant for our friends anniversary celebration. This place is beautiful, impeccably designed to please your senses, such a breath of fresh air. The place was full on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with a bunch of other celebrations going on too. We were pretty much immediately seated and requested for drinks. There was a complimentary Bellinis for the couple so that was good. The other drinks we ordered were great. For appetizers we ordered their thin chips with caviar dip, lobster rolls with caviar and charred shrimp. The thin chips and the dip was delicate and so flavoured, charred shrimp did not disappoint at all, the lobster rolls were tiny blasts of flovour with caviar, lobster and crispy taco shaped buns. For main course we ordered their fried chicken sandwich , roasted chicken, salmon and branzini fish and a Chinese chicken salad for the table. The roasted chicken was a little disappointing but loved their branzini and fried chicken sandwich. They do not have any sides with the main dish so that extra if you want to order from their set of sides. We ordered some fries and broccolini with our main courses. The winner was their Chinese chicken salad, with a unique combinations of fried noodles, greens, chicken and the dressing, a must try. For dessert we ordered espresso, cappuccino and their freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. The cookies were still warm and were melting in our mouths, went perfectly well with the coffees. Over all the food is not to die for compared to the prices but the place, ambiance and their service makes it all worth it. I would say it was more of an experience than a usual lunch. read more

I was so disappointed in our visit to RH. This was our first and, unfortunately, our last. The building and the restaurant are beautiful. However, the service was extremely slow and the food was just good, not great. We were seated for nearly 30 minutes before the first appetizer arrived at the table. We sat for long periods of time with empty plates in front of us and no waiter checking on us. Everyone in our party of 6 did like their meal choices but agreed they had had far better elsewhere in Raleigh, even at other restaurants in the area. For the price, you can will find far better food in Raleigh and easily find better service. Do better RH. read more

I was impressed with all aspects of my experience at RH. Upon entrance the staff is inviting and helpful to direct you up to the restaurant. The service once at the restaurant was timely and professional. My experience only improved as they brought out our food. The burrata app was so well balanced with the peppers and the cheese itself. The standout entree was the prime rib sandwich. This was hands down, the BEST French dip style sandwich I have ever had and it's all from the quality of the meat. It was cooked to perfection and was incredibly tender. Me and my wife were celebrating our anniversary and couldn't stay for dessert so they even did us the courtesy of packaging up complimentary cookies to go. From start to finish we throughly enjoyed our experience. The ambiance of this restaurant lives up the reputation. With RH being the more upscale furniture store as it is, you know the rooftop restaurant will meet this leveled up standard, and then some. The food is incredible. The service sucks. I feel like most of the staff was new and therefore couldn't answer questions about the food/forgot multiple times to check so I gave up on the questions in the end. She also said I couldn't order my eggs poached/said "they don't do that here" yet they serve eggs Benedicts on the menu. Bizarre. I don't know if it's a rule and the other server I asked didn't know either because she was new but they didn't allow for me ordering half bacon and half sausage and said I had to order a full extra plate of it if I wanted both ($12 a plate for 4 small sausages or a side of bacon). Our server also didn't bring any condiments to go with my breakfast nor did she ask. I had to ask another server and she brought out hot sauce and ketchup. What a champion. The ambience is lovely but it's loud as hell so keep that in mind if you're looking for an intimate dining experience. It definitely is an absolutely stunning restaurant for sure and the food is spectacular (save for the prime rib sandwich according to our friend who ordered it and said it was averaged and overpriced). The charcuterie boards are delicious and the truffle fries had no truffle flavor whatsoever. If you do get a sauce I recommend the garlic aioli which is fantastic. The bread and butter is really really good but not enough for a bigger group (they didn't charge us when we asked for more but it's still a small serve). The pancakes are super yummy as well. They are prepared the Swedish way apparently. The lobster roll and the branzino are also winners. The branzino was an absolute knockout. Hey family! As you all know when I visit Raleigh, I'm going to make it worth my while. I was there for that last opera performance of the season, The Marriage of Figaro, which was excellent. I'm never disappointed at the opera. Anyway, since it was on a Sunday, i figured I'd try something new. I discovered RH on Instagram but I looked at the Charlotte location, only to discover there was one in Raleigh. Being honest, at either location it's highly recommended that you need a reservation. Luckily for me, it did work out and I was able to make one but please keep in mind that spaces fill up quickly. It was only about 10 minutes from the venue which was also a plus. I was slightly confused as to where it was because GPS is not great. So it's nestled within a shopping center. Similarly if you've ever been to Cary, where there are luxury condos and apartments within the space. I was able to locate it and parking was easy. The restaurant shares the building with a high end interior design space. There is an elevator if you don't want to take the steps but it's kind of hidden. I was already impressed with downstairs and the restaurant was just as fabulous. I didn't take any pictures of the inside because I tried to be as lowkey as possible. It's Instagram worthy, I'll say that. They sat me by the fountain. In theory it sounds nice but just as a precaution, you will feel some droplets. It's not too bad but just be aware. The food was really good. It's pretty much Al a carte. I opted for the charred ribeye, broccolini, and potato purée. All were delicious. The only thing, I did ask for medium rare and I could tell that it sat for a little bit before it got to my table. I wasn't mad at it because even on a Sunday they were busy. The broccolini was great as it had a little lemon zest that brightened it up. The potato puree was excellent, as it was topped with like a garlic butter. I kept seeing people get the chocolate chip cookies so I got some and they do come in 3. I asked for vanilla ice cream and they accommodate. Although, not advertised on the menu, they did have it. The service and staff were wonderful. Although, I was by myself, I didn't feel alone at all. It was funny because some many people came by and stated that I looked great and could tell I had a great time. If you're an introvert like me and you like people watching, this is the best place for it. They also have a rooftop and I do believe it's first come first serve. They also have fire pits. I finally got to visit the RH Rooftop in North Hills, Raleigh. The restaurant's decor lives up to the hype and what you've come to expect from RH properties around the country. The restaurant and larger store are immaculately decorated, transporting you to a Californian dream. The service was excellent, with no complaints; our server was polite and readily offered menu suggestions. Now, on to the food: to be honest, you're paying more for the atmosphere of the restaurant and the vibe, rather than expecting the best food you've ever had. While the food was good, it wasn't groundbreaking, and had we not had the surrounding environment of RH, you may be disappointed with your order. The food is solid, but nothing to write home about. So we enjoyed the following dishes: GRILLED SHRIMP 6 pcs, Lemon, Butter, Garlic, Calabrian Chili- We upgraded to the 8 pcs entree as our starter, and this was good. The shrimp were well-cooked, a little salty, but overall still very tasty. ROADSIDE LOBSTER ROLL Drawn Butter, Old Bay, Brioche with a Dash of Mayo- I was a little bit disappointed with this dish. The lobster was a bit dry and unseasoned to my liking. I'm from the Northeast, so I have very high expectations of a good lobster roll, and this fell short. RH BURGER American Cheese, Pickles, Onion, Dijonnaise- Classic American cheeseburger. No complaints, which were delivered exactly to our expectations. It was cooked well and was very tasty. Again, there was nothing magical about it, just a good, classic cheeseburger. FRENCH FRIES - None of the entrees come with a side, so be prepared to order something extra to accompany your meal. We ordered the plain fries, and they were good--nothing to write home about, but solid shoestring fries. All in all, we had a good, but not great, meal. The seating isn't all that comfortable but it's good enough for the time spent dining here. I sat near the Fountain & Fiore Pond. This seating was very cool even with the doors open to the rooftop. Very comfortable temperatures here. The service here is impeccable. For my drinks I enjoyed the Peach Bellini and Rose'. Both were very good. I also enjoyed the salmon entree. I appreciate knowing my salmon is from off the coast of Canada. This is a better quality for sure (if you know, you know). For dessert I enjoyed the house made cookies and ice cream. Artichokes are also one of our favorites. Very crunchy. Very simple dish but tasty. We also love the shrimps. Again very simple dish but are cooked perfectly. Branzino is disappointed. It tastes very bitter. Although they said bones have been tripped out, I still found a few. The oil does not work well with the dish. Lopster rolls are also disappointed. Super very small size. Fancy grated cheese on top a nice touch. Standard Caesar dressing, which could use a little extra kick. Shrimp well prepared - a nice crunch on the outside, firm and not mushy in the center. It is a very nice salad. Nothing interesting or unique. $34 Also tried the burrata. It's served with charred peppers and drizzled with balsamic, and slices of chatted sourdough Delicious. Honestly great atmosphere with excellent service, but I will say the food can improve especially for the price of the product. First off we started off with the Crispy Artichokes with potatoes and that was the best thing I had at the dinner! Which hats off to them they did great on the appetizer and I would recommend! I got the RH burger which comes with American cheese, pickles, onions, tomatoes and dijonnaise. I thought it was pretty middle of the pack. Comparable to a Applebees almost which is crazy being the price of it is 24 dollars. As a side I got the truffle fries which were okay! I felt like the crispy bun was good and made the sandwich sturdy but then when you bite into the burger the seasoning just lacks. The dijonnaise carries the flavor. On my one bite score the burger is a 7.2/10 compared to their neighbor, Village Tavern, which is a 7.9/10 on the one bite scale. To fix this I would change up the seasoning to the actual beef itself so it can stand on its on and instead of cut onions add a caramelized option as well. Now onto the worst dish of the night and it was the Chinese Chicken Salad. This comes with Napa Cabbage, Carrots, Fried Wontons, Cilantro, Sesame Soy Vinaigrette and the Chicken is pulled rotisserie chicken. To start the Chicken tasted a bit off definitely not fresh. Tasted like it had been sitting for a bit. Everything else about it wasn't terrible but the chicken was so bad it ruined the whole dish. I would definitely not recommend. Overall the restaurant atmosphere and the service itself does not need to be changed at all, but some things that could be tweaked and changed on the food side would help a lot! We were seated right next to the fountain in the middle. I thought it might be a problem, but it was fine. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. While the food was good, it was definitely overpriced. $20 for truffle fries is ridiculous. I've had a better and bigger lobster roll in Boston for the same price as this place. The filet was ordered rare and cooked to perfection with a flavorful crust- this meal did not disappoint! The restaurant/building was beautiful (as always) and the restrooms were spacious and clean. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and made reservations for a party of 8. We were told in advance that they don't have tables to accommodate that many people so they would have to seat us on couches and place a cocktail table in between us. Not ideal but we appreciated the accommodation so we said yes. On arrival we had balloons but were told we could not go to the rooftop with the balloons so they held them downstairs for us. We took the elevator to the rooftop and checked in. We had to wait a few mins for them to set the table and couch and then we were seated. The place was lively, well lit, beautiful ambiance and clean. Nicole was our server for the night and she did good considering the size of our party and the amount of business in the restaurant altogether. I ordered a lemonade and Nicole let me know it was more on the tart side and brought extra simple syrup in case I needed it. I appreciated the attention to detail. We started with the Prosciutto & Delice board that came with perfectly ripe Brie, white cheddar, prosciutto, grapes and warm baguette. We also ordered the grilled shrimp. The starters were good. For my entree I ordered the salmon and sweet potato fries. Everyone at the table tried to order something different so we could share. In addition to that we also had the charred broccolini, potato puree, charred ribeye cooked medium well. The salmon was a a no for me. I cut half and shared with my friend and I ate one little bite and determined I didn't like it at all. The steak was okay. I wish we would have asked for medium instead of medium well because it was more on the well side and made it chewier than I would have liked. The broccolini was over charred leaving an overwhelming burnt flavor.The sweet potato fries were perfect and so was the potato puree. Everyone at the table all agreed the food was okay nothing spectacular. We were so underwhelmed that we didn't bother to order dessert. Nicole did bring out a cookie with candle for my friends bday which was a nice touch. All things considered I would return. I just don't think this restaurant is an ideal location for large parties. Let me tell you, RH Rooftop is not cheap, but if you are looking for amazing food paired with stunning views and ambiance, it is worth every penny. Walking in truly took my breath away. The space is gorgeous, surrounded by glass walls that open to fresh air on nice days, with a beautiful fountain in the center that adds to the serene atmosphere. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable with recommendations, and checked in just the right amount without ever being overbearing. The food was absolutely next level. We started with the lobster rolls which were small in size but packed with flavor. For our main dish, the salmon was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. If you are searching for a date night spot that delivers on food, atmosphere, and service, this is it. Just be prepared to spend around one hundred dollars per person for the full experience. read more
