What a beautiful restaurant! The fountain adds a bubbly relaxing vibe, and the staff is incredible, attentive (but not too attentive), polite, and knowledgeable. The manager even came over with a list of local recommendations when they found out we had recently moved to the area which is really above and beyond sentiment to their hospitality. The baguette and cheese appetizer with strawberry preserves and grape grapes was incredible, highly recommend that and the fried artichokes. The ribeye sandwich was delicious too. I am still thinking about the Schaumburg rosé paired with the baguette and cheese, they were that good! A lovely afternoon and highly recommend. We met friends for a holiday dinner on a Saturday evening. It's a very nice space on top of Restoration Hardware at North Hills. There were plenty of open tables when we arrived, but the hostess chose to seat us right in front of a door that opened to the outside so we were blasted with frigid air each and every time the door opened. RH Rooftop Restaurant is all about the ambiance; it's certainly not about the service or the food. My $38 "Shaved Ribeye Dip" was served on a 6" crusty baguette with roughly 4 oz of sliced ribeye and Swiss cheese. While it was better than an Arby's French Dip, it was far from the best version of this sandwich that I've recently tried but several times more expensive. A modestly-sized serving of sweet potato fries were an extra $12 and arrived at the table cold. After I sent them back, the replacement fries were hot. The only redeeming part of the meal were the chocolate chip cookies. $12 buys you three warm, gooey cookies sprinkled with just enough sea salt to taste. They were great. Service was friendly enough, but very inattentive. Our $6 Diet Cokes were not promptly refilled, but about 50 milliseconds after we finished chewing the last bite of our cookie, the checks arrived at the table. I definitely got the impression the server wanted to turn our table as quickly as possible. He should have just opened the door right in front of us and frozen us into submission with a prolonged blast of cold air. The food and service do not live up to the ambiance at RH Rooftop Restaurant; you are paying very, very inflated prices for mediocre food and service at this chain restaurant. This was our second brunch date at RH Rooftop and it didn't disappoint. The weather was perfect, so it was lovely outside on the rooftop. Although we wished Axis was working, the waitress we had was prompt, kind and attentive. We started with a hot chi latte, iced mocha latte, OJ and a mimosa. We had a reservation for 530, so when we arrived, the sky was blue and you could see it directly above every single table. How cool to have a glass ceiling! A magical place to have dinner! The servers are attentive, mellow, and responsive to any concerns. It feels like an outdoor courtyard but inside and on a roof. Oops, I had written another Yelp review for RH the store but it was also about the restaurant. We went within a few weeks of their grand opening to check it out and ended up ordering two Proseccos at the walkup bar and drinking them on the outdoor terrace. I had a very disappointing experience at RH Rooftop Raleigh tonight. For a place with this reputation and price point, the service was shockingly poor. Our server never introduced herself directly to me after returning from the restroom, didn't smile, and had a cold, detached demeanor the entire evening. When my date asked about the lobster roll size, she motioned with her hand that it was about a foot long. As someone who dines out frequently, I was skeptical, and sure enough, it arrived no bigger than the length of a hotdog bun. When I mentioned the inaccuracy, her response was, "Well, I don't know what to tell you." I've never had a server speak to me that way EVER at any restaurant--dismissive and unprofessional. She spoke so quietly it was hard to hear, seemed uninterested in serving us, and gave off an overall attitude that made the meal uncomfortable. For a $200+ dinner, I expected much more, especially since this was my third visit. The issues started before we were even seated--the valet (young man, not the girl) seemed reluctant and slow to get our car in the rain, and the male greeter/sales person on the lower level offered no smile, no warmth, and little eye contact. I left feeling embarrassed, especially since it was a first date I had suggested. This experience has me seriously reconsidering returning, and I hope RH Rooftop takes a hard look at their customer service. read more

Burger was better than the steak, which was a little over cooked, shrimp were average. Added a salad and buratta and finished with some average cookies for dessert. Been to the RH location in WPB where my mom lives several times. The food here was great. The service was absolutely atrocious. Not a SINGLE refill. Not a single check in to see how we were doing or if we wanted any more plates (which we did). Never saw our waitress but saw her go several times to her other tables. For $175 for one adult and two small kids which is reasonable for good food and exceptional service, you all missed the mark. I still tipped 15% but you deserve zero. They probably saw a tatted solo Mom and thought I couldn't afford it. You all should be ashamed. Golden Corral has better service. Take your money to Herons or Fearrington or Counter. The wait staff was awesome, very pleasant and accommodating. You'll need to book a reservation for best chances of getting seated. However; I was by myself ( like usual) and was able to be seated. Visited this evening with my wife for our 22nd Wedding Anniversary. This is in the newer part of the North Hills shopping area. Parking was a little challenging but the underground garage offers an escalator that brings you straight to RH. The entrance into the storefront is grand and beautiful. Everyone from the store and restaurant were friendly and inviting. There are two flights of stairs to the Rooftop Restaurant. I recommend the stairs over the elevator as the decor is pretty and makes for great selfie backdrops. The restaurant is very pretty but the dining room is smaller than anticipated, but there is lots of outdoor seating. Our server, Mya, was great from start to finish! We also met another server, Kyle, who recognized we were also Filipino. Shout out to Mya and Kyle! The prices are high, as expected, but the food is delicious. We had the Burrata for our app, and it was amazing! The menu description doesn't do it justice. We shared a Chips, Dip, and Caviar, which was the most unique item that we tried, but was heavenly. The chips and dip are extremely light. My wife got the Branzino and Asparagus and I got the Steak and Truffle Fries. All were outstanding! If I had any knocks it would be the lack of sweet tea and the $9 bottle of water. They provide an unsweetened tea with simple syrup, which tastes fine, but takes forever to get another, because there's no refills. After tax and a fat tip our total came to $315 for the 2 of us. read more

I truly feel like I ate at a different restaurant than the 4 and 5 star reviews here did. I went to dinner at RH last night and could not believe how mediocre it was given all the hype. It's beautifully decorated, like you're eating inside of the RH catalog (which is the point) and I can see why people rave about the aesthetic. My pros list ends there. Didn't start out great, as we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated at our reservation time. This is always annoying but I usually just sit at the bar. There isn't a bar here - there's a fancy looking bar stand where you can get a beer or wine and wander the store. We got seated and our server was really attentive at first but was pretty much MIA after our food order went in. No checking in, no casual run by - I had to flag her down to tell her we were missing part of our meal. I was a sever for many years so I have a lot of grace for servers but this was...bad. The food was also bad. We got the fried artichokes (good), a caesar salad (fine? greasy crouton pieces and a basic dressing) and moved into the mains. My friend got the french dip and fries, and I got the roasted chicken. Both dishes were barely lukewarm. The french dip looked like it had been sitting for awhile and the grease had made the bread soggy. They forgot our fries and they finally came after we had finished everything else - though it should be noted the fries were VERY good. The roasted chicken was unseasoned and the skin was flabby. The potatoes underneath were cold, gummy with random entire garlic cloves floating in the sauce/oil mixture. Unappetizing to look at and unimpressive to eat. This place is very pretty - probably a great location for a rehearsal dinner or corporate dinner. But for a good meal, you should go elsewhere. Service was so slow. Our lunch lasted 3 hours long due to the slow service. Granted it was a nice birthday brunch for my grandmother, but the server came by maybe every 30-45 minutes. The food looked so good and so did all the drinks, so it was frustrating to look in awe at all the delicious food being served to each table, while I had to sit and wait for way longer than what's normal. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The lady gave very detailed instructions on how to get to the rooftop bar on the third floor. My reservation was at 4:00. I arrived 10-15 minutes early. I looked around the gorgeous furniture store, while heading up to the third floor. I took the stairs, so I could enjoy the entire view. The staff greeted me with friendly smiles and promptly seated me, even though my guest was not there yet. I started with the grilled shrimp and classic caesar, both of which were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The salad was a delightful mixture balance. The six nice size shrimps with lemon, butter, garlic, and Calabrian chili was cooked perfect! For the main course, I got the whole grilled branzino. The fish was cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin and tender flesh. No bones! I ordered the charred grilled broccolini, it came out a little cold. My server nicely took it back and bought me some hot broccolini. I was not impressed with the broccolini. The service throughout the evening was attentive without being intrusive, and my server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations. We ordered a bunch of food to just try multiple things out - the buratta and fruit plate to start, the french omelette, ribeye sandwich, truffle fries and kale salad.
