It was nice evening out. I was anticipating ordering Mexican ceviche but to my disappointment it was no longer on the menu. Hibby had the steak frites and I ended up with lobster crab cakes. I ate. Everything was just so-so. But the service was excellent! (Lindsey)

Nice place for brunch Inside was bright, you would think it would be noisy because of all the people- it was pleasant. Plenty of seating. Our server was friendly, nice and got all of our orders correct. She kept out waters and coffee filled. I had the eggs Benedict- it was good a little sweet for me - still tasty! Parking lot was spacious.

Shrimp & Grits

Came here with some friends on a Saturday night. We made a reservation, which was good thinking because the place was packed. This was my first time here, and I ordered the Shrimp and Grits as well as the mocktail they had as a special. Both items were delicious! The food portion was very good. I had a lot to take home. The waitstaff were very nice and attentive as well without being overbearing. We all enjoyed our meals and I would highly recommend this location if you are in the North Hills area.

STIR never disappoints. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the steak and eggs with fries and everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and flavorful, the fries were crispy and seasoned just right, and the eggs were cooked exactly how I like them. The atmosphere is always fun and welcoming and the service was spot on from start to finish. If you are looking for a spot with great food and a great vibe STIR is definitely the place to go.

Very nice clean spacious restaurant. The waitstaff were very nice. I regret I didn't get my waiter name because he was awesome. I got the Tillermook Burger. This consisted of two smash patties cooked perfectly. I usually don't review fries but even the fries were flavorful.

Cold seafood tower ( cold bar)

Great meal at Stir. We started with drinks. To my surprise Bloody Marys were $5. They tasted great and love a drink special. We shared the cold tower. Oysters were fresh and huge. Shrimp were also big. And fresh. Tuna poke was delicious and the perfect texture. All the flavors were so good and did I say fresh. Then daughter had burger special. She loved the taste of the burger and her fries were burn your mouth hot. Hubby has salmon and thought it was delicious. I had tuna poke bowl. It has such a great combination of flavors, textures, it was the best poke bowl I've eaten. Our server Chaz was top notch, I can not say enough about the great level of service. Amazing meal with great service!

I have tasted the fare at many of the restaurants at North Hills, but this was my first time at Stir. I came here to grab a quick lunch with my daughter. There is ample free parking nearby, so finding parking was very easy. Walking up to the restaurant, I could tell that they were intentional about curating the vibe. We were seated outside. The decor lends to a chill, casual, trendy vibe. The seating was comfortable with brown bar top tables and periwinkle stools. Very chic. The menu is pescetarian friendly with numerous options. I ordered the Mahi Poke bowl and my daughter ordered the tuna poke bowl, but substituted the tuna for salmon. Our server, Shyann, was very flexible. Tge assistant manager also came by to ensure our food and service was adequate. We both received ample portions and the food was seasoned well. Although Stir boasts an oyster bar, we did not indulge since oysters are not in season. We will be back for their craft cocktails, which is another thing they are known for. I highly recommend this restaurant for its vibe, food, staff, and easy parking.

Stopped by Stir on National Oyster Day for their $1.50 oysters. A little gritty but they tasted fresh, especially with the cocktail sauce and vinegar. The truffle fries were excellent, salty, cheesy and crispy. Also, had two rounds of French 75s, thank you to the bartender for the strong midday drinks!

House Oysters

I've been to STIR a few times and went last night for a special they had on their oysters for national oyster day. $1.50 each - which brought their house dozen oysters from $28 to $18. I will say, the staff was confused when I mentioned the special but finally someone was able to verify it was happening that day. My friend and I got the steak Bao to share - very good - but only 3 for $13 and the hummus and pita to share. Both were very good. She got the steak frites, which looked delicious. And I will say, I was intrigued by all of their entrees, which is why I will go back. The oysters were good - if you like oysters, you will like these. I don't know if I would have paid $28 for them so I appreciate the discount. I know they have an extensive menu of fun cocktails but I just got Prosecco. Parking is what you would expect in North Hills - a bit of a hassle but there is plenty of it in both parking decks. Just have patience if you come around 5:30 any day of the week.

Stir is located the newest section of North Hills. Parking is easy for Stir as you just need to pull into the Bank of America parking garage. I had brunch at Stir with a group and we were all disappointed that seating for bigger groups was at high tops rather than regular height tables. They had regular tables for 4 though. There is patio seating but I'm not sure of the setup for that. The decor was otherwise good here but it was loud even though the restaurant was mostly empty. They need something to help with the sound. Service was mostly good, just not the most attentive; the staff was mostly off to the side on their phones. I went with the Eggs Benedict as I do enjoy that and am still looking for a favorite place to order this. It was different here. The ham was sliced slivers rather than the normal slice of it. I'm not sure if this was there way to give a smaller portion of ham. It tasted fine but was just a different sensation when eating it. It wasn't a favorite though.

Great brunch and reasonably priced. Got the burger and fries, wife and her mom got the waffles, which was great too. Would go again. They had a jazz band which was pretty good.

We arrived here a little early and were sat sooner than our reservation. We immediately got waters and ordered the flame broiled oysters, oysters Rockefeller, and the steak bao buns. The steak buns were AMAZING. Also loved the oysters. Very tasty! All the drinks had different shaped ice. Very strong which is great considering prices! My tuna bowl was a bit bland and not my favorite. The guys ordered steaks and said they were chewy. My friend ordered the lobster crab cakes and she enjoyed them. I've lived up north in Maryland and they were good, but not the best. I would order something different. Drinks and appetizers were our favorite here. Maybe we just ordered all the wrong foods but would definitely come back and try it again!

Shrimp and Grits

Came here for a quick lunch. Went with the shrimp and grits, and was not disappointed at all. It was flavorful, adequate amount of shrimp, and the grits were cooked to perfection. I would say the serving size was good if you're feeling pretty hungry. As a side, I went with the truffle fries, but they were extremely soggy, greasy and didn't taste like anything but salt. The dips served with the fries were the only saving grace. Would pass on ordering again. Overall would come back for brunch to try other dishes! Servers were professional and kind. We went at a downtime on a Wednesday so there was no wait, I can see this place filling up quickly and becoming real lively, great date spot option!

Firecracker Shrimp Wrap with Truffle-Parmesan Fries: My friend had this and she let me try a shrimp and some fries. The shrimp was cooked well and I enjoyed the spice of the sauce. The sausage was a bit overcooked but the grits were really good. Overall, it was a decent experience, but because of the wait times and inconsistency, this location wouldn't be my first choice.

It's been an interesting journey--because while I absolutely respect the tradition, my palate has definitely evolved over the years toward lighter, more elevated, visually beautiful food. That said, sometimes you just have to lean in and experience the classics. Tupelo Honey had been on my list for a while, so during a recent work trip to Raleigh-Durham, I decided to check it off. The location is in a very nice, upscale area--one of those shopping districts where, if you see a Whole Foods nearby, you know the neighborhood is going to be polished, safe, and easy to navigate. Parking was simple in a lot across the street, and since I had a reservation, I was seated quickly on the patio, which was lovely and comfortable. For starters, I ordered the "biscuits for a cause," which is a nice touch knowing the proceeds support employee relief and development funds. They were warm and classic Southern biscuits--exactly what you'd expect. For my entrée, I went with the honey-dusted fried chicken (dark meat), a true Southern staple. It was well prepared, flavorful, and satisfying, especially if you're in the mood for something hearty and traditional. I also tried a cocktail called "The Debutante," which was pleasant and refreshing, and finished the meal with the butter pecan cheesecake for dessert. Overall, the meal was good--solid, reliable Southern comfort food--but if I'm being completely honest, it wasn't particularly memorable for me. I was traveling for work and dining on a per diem, so it checked the box for a dependable dinner in a convenient location. As a larger regional chain, it feels a bit like a rite of passage when you're spending time in the Southeast--something you try once to understand the landscape. Bottom line: Tupelo Honey delivers classic Southern comfort food in a polished, accessible setting. Service was smooth, the patio was pleasant, and everything was executed well. For me personally, it was a good experience--but not one I'd necessarily go out of my way to repeat. Still, as I continue eating my way through the Carolinas and beyond, I'm glad I gave it a try.

Good thing I only ordered 2 things! An order of fried catfish with home fries and one egg. And a biscuit with sausage gravy. The fried catfish was salted and well fried. It tasted delicious for my first bite! The home fries were basically cut potatoes, but they weren't very fried or flavored. I wished I ordered the side of apple sauce instead. The biscuit and sausage was good, but a bit too much for one person after eating a separate order already. Definitely bring more people so you can try more things.
