East End Bistrot is pure magic. We had the most incredible evening on the Champagne Terrace with sparkling cocktails in hand, golden light, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel like you have slipped away to Paris. The ambiance was flawless and every detail felt thoughtful and transportive. Executive Chef William D'Auvray has refreshed the menu to make East End just as inviting on a weeknight as it is for a celebration. The Champagne Terrace plates, the expanded wine by the glass list, and the French inspired classics with a modern touch make every bite feel both elevated and approachable. What made the night even more special is how kindly the team worked with my vegan restrictions and dairy allergy. Every detail was considered, and I felt fully included in the dining experience without compromise. Raleigh is lucky to have such a destination and we cannot wait to go back.

First time visitors, now a lifetime customer! A must add to your foodie collection list! I can't wait to try the brunch!

    - [ ] Chef William is a master of his craft. He pairs ingredients together in a way that is so special. Culturally different ingredients that diners, as well as many chefs, would never think of, and he brings them together in a beautiful array of flavor and texture. The seared Mishimi beef is something out of this world. I'm usually very basic about beef and believe it doesn't need frills to shine when done properly. But the char, the daikon, the mustard seeds popping with every bite are heavenly. I can't think of a single bite of food I have had here that has ever disappointed. The service is also absolutely amazing! Shout out to Diego and Jaclyn for anticipating needs, and being amazing at what they do to ensure the experience is top quality! This was only my second visit, but trust there will be more to come! I'm excited to see what is next in store, and my stomach!

East End never disappoints. I stopped by and sat at the bar with a friend. The deviled eggs and the crudo were both 10/10. The bar tender, Lalo made the perfect green apple martini. Of course the atmosphere is one of the best in the triangle. i just love everything about East End.

East End Bistrot is an upscale, classic French restaurant in the Five Points area, and was named Raleigh Magazine's 2024 restaurant of the year! So of course this was my first choice for a 1 year wedding anniversary dinner. The front of the restaurant is filled with beautiful plants and lovely French music playing. We sat on the porch so that we could enjoy the greenery, music, and nice weather. Our waitress knew the menu so well and had great recommendations! We started out with the salade grecque (greek salad) with feta imported from Greece! The salad was served to us tableside and was the perfect, refreshing start to our meal. The feta was so incredibly creamy and the oregano was pungent and herbaceous. I opted for the 9oz filet mignon with beurre noisette and my husband got the cotelette de porc (pork chop). The filet mignon was cooked to the perfect medium rare. The beurre noisette (brown butter sauce) was nice, but not incredibly flavorful, so J could have done without it - which was fine because the filet mignon flavor was nice on its own. The pork chop was cooked to medium perfection and was nice and juicy. A bite of the pork chop with caramelized apple, mustard seed, and crisp garlic had my palate singing - you get the sweet notes from the apple, the pop and acidity from the mustard seeds, and the crunch and savory, umami flavor from the garlic crisp. As a side to our meat entrees, we got the champignon du bois (wood mushrooms). These were sautéed to perfection as they kept their structure and bounce, and I loved how they were not too heavy - the acidity from the Jerez vinegar was lovely. The menu was vast and we had a hard time choosing what to order because everything sounded delicious, so we are looking forward to coming back here again to try more! *Bread & Butter *Salade Grecque: heirloom tomatoes, feta (imported from Greece), rainbow cubanelle peppers, vidalia onion, wild Greek oregano flowers, lemon, virgin olive oil *Filet Mignon (medium rare) with Beurre Noisette *Cotelette de Porc [Pork Chop]: caramelized apple, burnt honey, white soy, pickled mustard, crisp garlic *Champignon du Bois [Mushrooms]: parsnip, Jerez vinegar

Phenomenal service and good food. I preferred the hors d'oeuvres and apps over the actual main entrees. Our waiter was so knowledgeable and attentive. He never left us wanting. He had great cocktail suggestions and awesome appetizer suggestions too. We started with the hamachi appetizer which was so fresh and yummy and also had the boulettes de veau which are basically very delicious meatballs. Unfortunately, my filet mignon was a little over cooked so I couldn't give the place 5 stars. I like my steak medium rare and it came out a little more like medium to medium well. The flavor was good but just over cooked. We kind of decided that next time we'll just go here for yummy cocktails and a smorgasbord of apps.

I had the absolutely most amazing dinner experience at East End. The restaurant is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Raleigh. The decor is so luxurious and vibrant, you feel like you have been transitioned immediately to a french city. The service was impeccable, everyone was attentive but not overbearing. The server took his time in breaking down Every aspect of the menu and helped me to make the best possible choices for myself to have an overall amazing dinner experience. It was very evident that each customer was everyone's priority, my water was never empty, and every single member of the staff checked in on each diner throughout their experience. The restaurant also has an open kitchen concept, and I was able to watch all of the dishes being prepared, which was just a fantastic experience. I dined on the oysters, The crab soufflé, that's turbot fillet, and the guava cheesecake. Some of the best food I've had in an longtime. The oysters were extremely fresh, the table side service for the crab soufflé was beautiful and it was so decadent and rich and full of crab! The cheesecake was delicious, not too sweet and so refreshing with the guava. It was the perfect end to my meal. I also had the Mona Lisa smile as a drink and it was a great drink to start my meal, very refreshing and balanced. This is a must try restaurant! I'd maybe go with a friend or a group as the portion sizes on the sides and salads are kind of larger and meant to be shared.

It feels like you're dining in Europe for the evening. Ambiance is gorgeous, fantastic service and amazing food! I dream about the Bluefin toro on crispy rice app.

We spent New Year's Eve at East End Bistrot and it was such a pleasant evening. The server we had was extremely knowledgeable about every menu item and gave us great recommendations. Scott the GM and sommelier was helpful in regards to all wine pairings and very familiar with various regions. Whoever designed the restaurant did an amazing job, classic yet eclectic, I felt like I was in an upscale NYC dining establishment. Kudos to the chef, because I think this was the best meal I had all year and definitely the best meal I've had in Raleigh. The oysters were fresh, the flavors on the toro were excellent, the duck was cooked perfectly to the point that I used a butter knife to cut it and the lobster was delicious. I never order lobster because I am usually disappointed with the consistency or find it's just smothered in butter but chef did a great job not overpowering the lobster and enhancing the natural flavors. Patty, the pastry chef, also did an amazing job with all three desserts we tasted. I would mark this as a special occasion restaurant and I will definitely be back.

My husband and I do bi-weekly date nights where we try to find the best restaurants with the best atmospheres in the closest city to us. We have tried almost all the best spots in Raleigh so I was expecting him to take me to a boring spot In Raleigh. When we pulled up to east end bistrot, I was joking around with him saying I was way too overdressed for somewhere that looked like a box yard. But wow. East end bistrot was shockingly beautiful. The atmosphere, food, service, and drinks delivered in its fullest. Be prepared, the courses take a while to get to your table because everything is made from scratch. If you show up starving, you might eat two baskets of bread while your waiting for your first course (like me). Overall, this is a place I would highly recommend. I have date night next, not sure if I can beat this one.

I came here for drinks and dessert with friends, and the star of the show was definitely the beignets. As someone who has visited New Orleans and tried the real deal, I thought I knew what good beignets tasted like. Turns out, I did not have to travel that far after all! The beignets here are like a cross between a classic beignet and a croissant. Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of indulgent. The Service was outstanding thanks to Hayley. Her recommendations for pairing the drinks with the food were flawless, and each drink was prepared like a work of art. I started with the raw oysters, paired with a glass of Rose, which I loved. They switched from the Halibut with Fennel to Mahi with Forbidden Rice. The rice is black and inky and potent and extraordinary, but it overwhelmed the fish completely. Still greatful I got to experience it, but I would pair it with something more gamy like lamb or goat. The Pecan pie with warm salted caramel ice cream was nothing short of a spiritual experience, and Hayley's recommendation to pair it with Rum Flip was perfect. Yes, I Ubered. Overall, this one is going to be a frequent hangout.

We sat outside this day, as the weather was mild and there wasn't any available seats inside. We ordered a fried combo and a grilled combo. TrySeafood does a lot of things right. Portion size was fairly generous. We especially love the fact they serve cleaned jumbo shrimp. Food was cooked well, shrimp was tender as was scallops. The broccoli was not tender crisp nor mushy. The potatoes and corn were delicious. While service was friendly, it was a bit slow. Also, I'm not an Old Bay fan. The grilled shrimp were seasoned with Old Bay. While the fish was crispy, I prefer a cornmeal dredge to a flour dredge. Finally, (and this could have been a me thing) the tip percentage on the screen doesn't align with the math. I intended to tip 15% - which is standard especially considering slow service. That should have been approx $8 and when I got home I realized it was approximately $16. You're not given a printed receipt and if you're in a rush and going through the process quickly it's easy to miss. Again I may have missed something, but I'm pretty sure I selected the %15 option. Additionally, I've seen other restaurants that have intentionally include this practice. Would I go again, sure. I'd request a different seasoning blend or a light seasoning and check that math! Wife and I started our quick little anniversary getaway here, and they nailed it. The place itself is gorgeous. Huge patio with greenery, baller bar area in the middle of the upscale open space, which gives a modern and chic vibe. That problem I mentioned? Deciding what we were going to order off of the amazingly stacked tapas menu. One sounded better than the other, plates coming out to the left and right of us...we were deer in headlights not knowing what to do, words didn't come out when our friendly and knowledgeable server came by. As far as problems go at a restaurant, I guess it could have been worse. With helpful guidance and knowing our love for anything foodie related, we just started picking one by one after a few sips of our well balanced cocktails (another large menu with anything and everything for fellow cocktail lovers out there). Had to go with a meat and charcuterie board first. A decadent manchego, a creamy French that was smooth and tangy, plus a 20 month cured ham that was salty and smoky. Honestly everything that came out after was a 10/10. From the wild mushrooms, Wagyu carpaccio and bone marrow, to the pork belly, corn bunuelos and steak paillard...everything was cooked to perfection with amazing spices and sauces that complemented each dish perfectly. (See pics and captions for more details) These chefs and mixologists know what they're doing here. 2 managers came by our table to make sure everything was going well.
