Breakfast tacos were amazing. The guacamole was super fresh and the eggs portion was generous. My husband had Carolina Sunrise and really enjoyed it. It was pretty busy so we sat at the bar. Great service. The place has a liquid brunch vibe with mimosa towers, mimosa flights, spiked coffee drinks, etc.
Came here on Tuesday around 1pm for some lunch and ended up ordering breakfast instead. There was no wait time and food came out in 10 minutes. I got the Bangin' Burrito while my husband got the Brunches Burrito. Both items came with a signature sauce that our waiter initially forgot. We never got refills on our drinks either. Although our waiter was very kind the service wasn't great. However, the food definitely made up for it. Next time I come I'll definitely try out the lunch options and get a mimosa flight too.
Let's start off with the food. Since that's the most important. It was TERRIBLE. Like every single part of both my order and my mom's order was so nasty we just left it. And I was starving. Like so hungry I would have eaten dirt. The eggs. Yall - you are a brunch place. If I order medium and the eggs are raw and running off the plate then you just can't cook. Second, the French fries were raw. Not cooked all the way through. ALL the food came out ice cold. Raw cold French fries anyone? Let's talk about my mom's salad. It was worse than a Publix buffet salad. The chicken was mealy, and, ice cold, the clumps of kraft cheese thrown on top made me laugh out loud and it tasted nasty. The bacon was good. I'll give them that. They asked what I wanted with my biscuit and I said butter which never came but at this point I was already like well I'll never come here again. Second: we were driving through town on the way to go hiking. It was supposed to be a quick little lunch. Ha! It took an HOUR to get raw eggs, cold food and raw fries. Yeah you heard me right and no I'm not exaggerating. A full honest to god hour. Totally threw the day off. They said, only after I asked after waiting over 45 min that a grill was down. Well shouldn't you tell people that?? Like give us a choice if we can stay? Finally as others have said it is really loud. I went with my mom and it was really uncomfortable. I guess if I wanted to get wasted on a Sunday and I was 20 maybe? Who knows.
This place really surprised me. We were just looking for a good spot to get a brunchy/lunchy type meal on our way to the coast, and new there would be a lot of options in this area. So we pulled off, took out the trusty Yelp app, and this place popped up. Pulling it, it was clear that they were popular and busy. We went in and there was a wait, about 15 minutes. We decided to hang around instead of worrying about "making good time" and are glad we did. Once we got a seat, we received great service. Our server always kept our drink full, and checked on us just enough. We never felt like we were searching for her. Looking at the menu, I was surprised to see that the prices were not unreasonable, even though it's a very trendy place. in fact, they had a $10ish lunch menu available with a few selections that even included a drink. I was more in a lunch mood so I went that direction, and got a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. Food came out hot and in a reasonable time even with a full restaurant, so this is a well oiled machine. For the price, I was pretty impressed. I would say the sandwich was about the size of your average CFA chicken sandwich, but had a bold buffalo flavor that I liked a lot. They didn't skimp on the fries, and the ranch complemented it perfectly. We finished up and our server was on top of things getting us the check, so really we still made "good time" on our drive to the coast. I would recommend Brunches to travelers and locals alike!
Brunches in Cary is located in the Crossroads Shopping Center. The shopping center has plenty of parking, but the spots closest to the restaurant might not be available. I did find a spot close by so maybe someone just pulled out. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so there may be a wait for a table. The restaurant does not take reservations, so it is first-come, first-served. We were a party of 8, and I was told the wait for our table had been 45 minutes. A smaller-sized table might have less of a wait. There is also seating at the bar and tables on the patio outside. The decor is simple and welcoming. The restaurant could use some sound dampening, as it was loud inside. It was hard to hear the waiter and those at the same table. The menu is good-sized with a variety of breakfast and lunch options. One side of the menu is devoted to beverages. You can order chicken and waffles to avocado toast to eggs benedict to omelets to burgers. I ordered the eggs benedict as that is what I tend to order for brunch. It came with grits or home fries. I went with the home fries. Ketchup and the syrup were already on the tables. I did like the eggs benedict as the eggs were runny and the hollandaise sauce was good. I would have liked the home fries to be cooked longer. I prefer a more relaxing setting to eat, so I don't see myself returning to the loud environment.
I arrived around 8:20am on a Saturday morning. It wasn't busy at all and we were seated promptly. Bridget was our waitress. We each ordered the speciality mimosa flight at 8:28am and revived it around 8:35pm. This was very unique and I enjoyed it! It's always great to see someone outside of the usual flavored mimosas. I ordered all American breakfast with blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, and home fries. My date got the chicken and waffles with grits. Food came out surprisingly quick, about 10 mins after ordering. The pancakes were large and tasty and bacon was crispy! My date said that "Chicken is really good." The longer we sat, I noticed it started to get busy but the attentiveness of waitress remained constantly. We were in an out in an hour. I definitely plan to return. No complaints.
Brunches has yet again provided a wonderful experience for a casual brunch. Connie took care of our party with attentiveness and kindness, and was more than happy to answer our seemingly endless questions. I'd keep her as my bartender forever if I could!
This place is the best. We went for an early Sunday morning and got a seat right away. It filled up fairly quickly. We had outstanding service! The coffee was solid, the food was really good. I ordered the Powerhouse bowl and it was so good. Love the combo of the sweet potatoes, turkey sausage, eggs and spinach. The chipotle aioli set it over the edge. Perfection! A legit brunch place!
This was a really nice spot for breakfast and brunch. Everything was excellent. We were put on a waitlist, but it was only about a 15 minute wait before we were seated. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal. We ordered the mimosa specialty flight, which included Cloud 9, Tequila Sunrise, Blue Lemon Drop, and Creamsicle. It was a fun and tasty selection. For food, we had the Breakfast Tacos, the All American, and the Shrimp and Grits. Unfortunately, we forgot to take photos of the Breakfast Tacos and the All American, but everything was absolutely delicious. Overall, this was a 10/10.
One of the dining clubs I'm in met here for a fun Saturday treat between Christmas and New Years. It was one of those warm late December days, sunny and crisp, but we sat indoors, looking poking out through the large window to their deck. They have a rather large menu for a Brunch place -- one side is drinks and the other is food. Drinks - mimosas, fancy coffees, and "espresso" martinis were the headliners. I got their basic espresso martini. They use cold brew rather than espresso, and they put in drizzles of chocolate syrup, so it's very sweet. Also, what's with the half-dozen coffee bean garnish? Three is traditional, so is six just doubling that? Anyway, it's not bad, fairly boozy, just really sweet. I went with the eggs Benedict. It comes with grits or cottage fries, which I ordered. They were mostly good - a bit over cooked and dry, but serviceable. The Bennie itself was the barest minimum. One this, tasteless muffin, one small slice of Canadian bacon, and a nicely poached egg. There was a generous amount of hollandaise sauce with a great flavor, but it just felt kinda phoned in. One of my friends had a western omelette while he liked. Another had the BLT and Bloody Mary, and she said both were very tasty. Overall, we were all happy with the food but no one felt it was worth the drive to return in the future.
The wait was long, but we found 3 seats at the bar instead! Talia (name may be spelled wrong) was our bartender and was amazing. Our food was fresh, the drinks were great and the vibes were excellent.
This is SUCH a yummy spot! We came on a Saturday morning, it was very busy so be sure to get there early. The atmosphere is nice and so are the servers. I shared a mimosa flight which was super tasty, the flavors are great, I highly recommend. The cold brew is just okay- they don't have lattes or flavored syrup (PSA for all the coffee lovers). Our food was DELICIOUS! The chicken tacos and fries are absolutely amazing, they are flavorful and very filling. My breakfast tacos were also great, it lacked some seasoning but overall I enjoyed it. The grits are delicious as well. Overall, a wonderful spot, we will certainly be back!
I finally made it to the infamous Brunches. Each time I've tried, the wait times are so long, but this time, I sat at the bar because it's first come first serve. I started with the All American Breakfast and got the blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries. The pancakes were soooo fluffy, bacon was perfectly crispy just how I like it, and they were generous with the portion of potatoes. The loaded mimosa flight has vodka so be prepared to have a nice feeling. The bartenders were super cool and friendly. This day they were dressed up like their boss which was pretty funny, but it added to the overall vibe. It seems like it may always be a pretty chill place to eat. I went back to visit a second time the following weekend lol (I know) and sat at the bar again and had to try the chicken and waffles with the loaded grits. I couldn't believe my taste buds when that chicken hit my mouth. It was amazing. Perfectly seasoned OMG. The loaded potatoes had cheeses, jalapeños, and bacon and let me tell you, I don't know what I've been thinking and can't believe I didn't try this concoction together sooner. Bottom line, like the terminator, I'll be back!

I had the gluten free biscuits and gravy with gluten free turkey gravy. They use JP's biscuits! I was really surprised at the quality and willingness to ensure everything was made right. My only complaint was the restaurant was small and very crowded. It made it hard to enjoy conversation. read more

I feel like this place is a little overhyped. It was avery long wait but that's always expected for brunch spots. read more
This place is small, so be prepared for a wait! The bar is first come first serve but there is still a wait with that as well. Despite the wait time, the staff is super friendly. You can grab a drink while you wait if you prefer, but there isn't seating while you wait. The drinks were aesthetically pleasing and taste great. The waffle was good but the shrimp and grits could use a bit more flavor. The other guests raved about the hibachi bowl, so I intend to try it next time I visit. read more

We were smart and went for brunch at 9am on a Saturday. The weekends can get packed with wait times up to 2 hours. It's not a huge place so keep your groups smaller. No reservations. Since it was still early, the staff was attentive and very helpful. Naomi is fantastic!!! So sweet and personable. The food came out so hot and fresh and bursting with flavor. The chicken and waffles was huge, coming with one large fluffy waffle and 2 chicken breast. The Carolina sunrise was so good with the perfect balance of sweet, savory and spicy with pimento cheese and hot honey. The hot honey does have a kick and I asked for it on the side. Finished every last drop and mixed with regular syrup for a touch more sweetness. I can't wait to go back and try their brunch shots and morning cocktails! read more

Went to check out Brunches after my husband's appointment. Very nice atmosphere with music playing. Very nice decor. The food was good. I ordered the chicken & waffles, which had a really nice size chicken breast that had a nice crust on it. I felt the waffle could've been better. Their home fries were good. My husband ordered what I believed to be a Cinnamon Pancake with turkey sausage and a side of eggs. I tasted his pancake and it was so good! The one star for the mimosa was because they put too much champagne in it, it was all I tasted. The service by our waitress Naomi was really good. Overall I'd definitely try them again! read more

My husband and I went to Brunche on Saturday. The chicken and waffles was recommended to try. The chicken was seasoned to perfection. It had the perfect crunch and taste. My husband had the All American. He said that the gouda grits and the Cinabon pancake was very good. Our server was nice and we were able to be seated right away. We would definitely go back to Brunches. read more

There were a lot of great menu options, but as soon as I saw the powerhouse bowl I knew I had to get it! And I'm very glad I did because it was delicious. The waiters were friendly and even though it was busy, the food didn't take that long to come out. I had a great time dining here with my friends and this is might be my new favorite brunch place! read more

The food, service and drinks were all fantastic at this spot but be prepared to wait because it is popular. We dined in and had to wait around 30 minutes. My mom and I both ordered a traditional mimosa with OJ (each mimosa is a half bottle of champagne for $9.25). Pineapple, strawberry, cranberry and peach are the other juice options. For food it was the breakfast tacos with home fries for me, classic breakfast with grits for my mom and the powerhouse bowl for my husband. Brunches is a must visit. read more

Fun and youthful vibe at Brunches in Cary Crossroads Shopping Center. We visited on a Friday morning late June thinking there wouldn't be a crowd. There was a crowd! We got there at a few minutes before 11a and got seated for our party of 5 at 1105a. Our waitress appeared quickly and had to return because we weren't ready to order. She got our drinks and we then ordered. Almost everything arrived about the same time and everyone was pleased. They may have been busy in that kitchen but our food was neatly plated and didn't appear to be rushed. Our waitress checked on us on several occasions as we needed butter and someone needed a condiment that wasn't on the table. In hindsight I was drinking water but never got a refill and my glass was empty before we left. I did notice it was pretty noisy in the restaurant and our table appeared to be the Grandmothers in the house. It was a young crowd and they came in groups ready to brunch. The food was warm and fresh. I had a veggie omelette with a bowl of grits. Not sure if the omelette had all the vegetables listed on the menu...seems like more eggs than anything. But it was flavorful. The grits were okay but needed lots of salt. Overall I was satisfied with my meal and good service. I will be visiting Brunches at some point in the future. read more

This is a solid place for brunch, the drinks are creative and delicious but the wait is typically long unless you arrive before 10am and the food is good but not impressive. The service is decent but never great. The eggs Benedict here are nothing special and underwhelming-the muffin is small- the cheese grits were okay. The Carolina sunrise is good but at times when I've ordered it it's had too much hot honey making the whole meal too sweet, the chicken biscuit supreme is pretty good but don't expect a homemade taste to any of the food. The only thing to rave about could be the drinks, the only thing I haven't enjoyed was their peach mimosa for it was too sweet or possible syrup tasting. Overall Brunches is a fun, cute spot in a good location would recommend if you can spot by early or if you're not super hungry and don't mind a wait. read more

I need to try this again. I was a bit disappointed in the food. The patty on the burger was smaller than the bun by a fair amount and the fries did not seem fresh at all. Every restaurant can have an off day so I'll try it again sometime and hopefully be able to come back and change my review to a more positive nature. read more

Glad we have a new breakfast/ brunch place in the area! Love the modern space! Service was prompt and efficient. Food was very good overall. I really enjoyed the fried jalapeños in my loaded grits. The By the Sea omelette had a very generous amount of large shrimp, crab & bacon. The only disappointment was that I didn't have a chance to get a mimosa this time (& they have several delicious sounding variations) so am putting that on my list for my next visit. read more

We dined here on a busy Saturday Morning, in the thick of the Holiday. After about a 20 minute wait my sister and I found a cozy seat at the bar, where we reviewed the menu and decided on a Strawberry Mimosa Carafe. We were just chatting when the bartender mentioned being able to get the Mimosas "loaded" and because we were here for a good time not a long time we decided to go for it. The loaded strawberry mimosa was a bottle of champagne, strawberry syrup and strawberry absolute. Once the drinks were flowing we decided on the following brunch items: The chicken supreme with a side of grits: a fluffy open-faced buiscuit topped with two crispy and well flavored chicken breast,a sausage gravy and two eggs of your choice. I chose an over medium egg for a runny yolk. The entire meal was delicious! The grits were a nice addition to accompany the extra chicken breast left over! Nutella French Toast with loaded grits: Now my sister is a bit weird, in the she doesn't really enjoy the Nutella so she didn't get that on there. Otherwise she mentioned that the French toast had a great flavor and texture. It was served with a few strawberries that looked like their life expectancy was over but as with the rest of the meal, everything was great. We ate and vibed out to the great music and enjoyed to kindness of the service staff. We enjoyed our time and will definitely plan to be back soon. read more

This is one of my favorite spots for brunch -- the mimosas are consistently amazing and definitely the reason I keep coming back! The vibe is always good and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. That said, during my last visit I did notice a few staff members step outside to greet a dog and then come right back in and start handling glasses and to-go containers without washing their hands. It stood out because it's not something I'd expect in a restaurant setting, and I hope it was just a one-off oversight. Still, the food, drinks, and atmosphere are great, and I'll definitely be back -- just hoping for a little more attention to cleanliness moving forward! read more

One word: MIMOSA!! If you haven't tried Brunches in Cary, grabbed your purse & your friends and get there now! The restaurant gives fun, diner vibes. Very simple but also cute. The service, 10/10. My waiter, Greyson was attentive and came through with the recommendations. My food came out so fast! I ordered, sent a text message and boom! There was my chicken and waffles. The food!! Umm, yes. I got the chicken and waffles - chicken tossed in hot honey. Spectacular. Give me more! And my peach mimosa!! The bartender did her thing. I think I need an Uber! Will I be back, HECK YEAH. Should you go, ABSOLUTELY. read more

I've been waiting on Brunches to open for over a year now. Our family went today. I was worried that it would be slammed but there was no wait in Black Friday at 12:30 pm. I ordered a biscuits and gravy bowl with sausage and eggs over easy. It was really. Very filling and properly seasoned. My wife has the Eggs Benedict with a side of grits, which were creamy and perfectly seasoned. My daughter had the Nutella French Toast. The toast was coated with a cinnamon batter, which she didn't think went well with the Nutella taste. She had doubts that the topping was actually Nutella. I did order a mimosa since they were on sale for $2.95 this day. The glasses are very large, containing what they say is a half of a champagne bottle. It was very heavy on the champagne and didn't have much of a taste of orange. I thought it needed more fruit taste to offset the dry champagne. The vibe of the pace was good. It's loud with high ceilings. The music is barely audible with the noise, but is all over the place in genre. It's a good addition to Crossroads. We'll definitely be back. read more
