Classic French Toast Fresh Seasonal Fruit

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is in a very active area of Raleigh with many stores and attractions, so the busy Saturday morning crowd was expected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went on a reservation and we were seated promptly after our set time. The waiter was very busy but stopped to make time to explain the popular orders and the drink specials for brunch. Everything came out fresh and warm as ordered, while we had plenty refills and check ups to make sure everything was satisfying. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although there were many patrons in the restaurant, it did not seem busy or loud and the dine in experience was enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't wait to go back!

Pancakes = divine. Beignets = hard as a rock. Eggs were delish! It's a good place to come to every once in a while.

I had a quick breakfast at Another Broken Egg Cafe. The hostess was very friendly, however the bartender was cold and dry which wasn't very welcoming. On the other hand, she made this spiked coffee perfectly! I ordered a waffle with chicken sausage and scrambled eggs which was just ok, not bad but nothing unique or special. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restroom was very dirty which was off putting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small location but I came on a weekday morning so there wasn't a big crowd.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is also limited, so plan your visit wisely!

Another broken egg café is located in North Hills. There's parking on the street as well as a parking lot and the area is very walkable area. I found parking right outside the restaurant. The restaurant was jampacked. When we entered, the hostess looked at her watch even though it was an hour and a half to closing and I said, do we have enough time, she said yeah yeah yeah. She seemed a little bothered that we came in at that time, but she fixed her face and took us to a table to be seated. The floors were kind of dirty, as if they had stopped sweeping up, and I had to ask them to wipe down the table again. It took longer than usual for a server to come to us. He did apologize when he got there and took our drink Orders. He came back and took our food orders. Our drinks took a while to get there and he apologize for that. The food was OK. the service was OK but the restaurant definitely could do with a manager that stays on top of the staff when it comes to timeliness and cleanliness. The gentleman at the table next to us was complaining to the server and then the manager that the bathrooms were filthy and the toilet was running over so I did not use the restroom. Thank God for hand sanitizer. I really like the bar area. I probably should've sat there and ate. , I'm gonna be back in that area a couple of times in the next coming months so hopefully that restaurant improves

The pictures tell you everything you need to know about how our experience was here. We ordered the strawberry shortcake french toast and it came with a side of eggs and bacon. For $16 this french toast was absolutely disappointing. The portion was tiny and the taste was absolutely awful. I'm shocked that they even thought it was ok to bring this out to us. We've had frozen french toast that was better than this. They gave us syrup on the side and we had to drench the french toast in it to make it taste somewhat decent and even that didn't help much. We also ordered the brunch jumbalaya and for $16, it was a huge waste of money. The service was ok, but definitely will not be returning. for a breakfast/brunch/lunch spot, this place's food is a major fail.

We were spoken to upon arriving and seated quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The area was quaint and there's a small bar near the dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Brittany was literally a rockstar she was very warm, helpful, and empathetic. She also was very knowledgeable about food allergies and the food menu they have. We had their biscuit beignets and they were amazing! Their omelette and baked bacon was also pretty good. If you are in the area please check it out and ask for Brittany !

The focaccia here is extraordinary. A thin, crispy, tasty treat. Must try. I do not like that the menus and countertops were sticky, and that my poached eggs arrived cold (they didn't even ask how I wanted them - soft, medium, hard). Kinda gross to have cold eggs. But the rest of the breakfast was fine. Tasty sausage, bacon, ham that was standard breakfast fare. Service was good, bartender was nice but curt.

I love Another Broken Egg! It's been a favorite since moving to NC a few years ago. The food is just so good. Seasonal menu always has something you want to try. Service has always been good when i've gone. I love their coffee/tea cups. Currently they have a Honey Lemon Blueberry French Toast on the menu. The lemon drizzle is really good, I wish they put more of it on top. 6 pieces was a bit much for me but if you are eating with others you can share. Add Another Broken Egg to your brunch rotation or go for a visit if you are staying in the area.

Cute spot in North Hills. Our server was awesome and gave great recommendations. I was a little sad that they didn't have a latte or oat milk. I settled with their coffee because they had hazelnut creamer and it was surprisingly good. I went with the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and my husband went with the hash Brown Benedict. Everything was delicious. Definitely would go back.

The food was blah; I am particularly not a fan of watery grits. The wait staff was friendly though.

Joined the waitlist for Saturday breakfast at Another broken egg, and we were seated right away! I love the industrial modern breakfast diner vibes. The menu is extensive, as is the drink selection. We ordered the biscuit beignets to start, which were not my favorite, as I was expecting light and fluffy Cafe Du monde beignets. The food took a little while to come out, but when it did the salmon Benedict was delicious, although too salty. The Bourbon st pancakes were also delicious and super sweet.. with a hint of the rum butter flavor. Overall great breakfast experience.

I also ordered an espresso martini, and unfortunately it had an artificial taste that I would not recommend, especially for the price. One issue we ran into was the number of flies around our table. The NY Strip arrived more than well done, so we told the waitress and she apologized and sent it back to the kitchen. As I was eating the meatloaf, I noticed an off taste and texture. I looked closer and realized it was still pink/slimy/raw! How can meatloaf be raw? It's supposed to be fully cooked first and then grilled. Whoever sliced it from the "loaf" should have noticed it was not cooked before throwing it on the grill! We notified the manager when he came to apologize for the NY strip, so he took the meatloaf back to the kitchen. When the NY Strip came back out, my husband cut into it and it was shiny and purple inside, from top to bottom...absolutely rare. The waitress agreed it was rare and took it back to the kitchen again. When it came out for the third time, it was perfect (third time's a charm, I guess?). The only saving grace was the kind waitress who felt awful about the sub par food. The kitchen put her in an uncomfortable position, but she handled it with grace. We ordered the chocolate torte for dessert and it was very good, but that's the only thing I'd return for.

The filet mignons were cooked to perfection and served with a creamy Béarnaise sauce, accompanied by mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. My perfectly crafted Old Fashioned was the ideal pairing and complemented the meal beautifully. Although the dessert tray was filled with tempting, decadent creations, we were simply too full! We showed up early with our 1.5 year old daughter and they were able to seat us immediately. The area felt spacious, although that could be due to the fact that it wasn't super packed inside. The short rib was tender and flavorful, and sat on top of a biscuit (what's not to love here?!) - horseradish hollandaise was the perfect touch as the horseradish pairs nicely with the beef. The chicken & waffle sandwich was the best guilty pleasure! Waffle crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, chicken breaded and fried with a nice crunch, and a nice hot honey syrup to go alongside -- wish this had a little more heat. We came in today with reasonable expectations after finding the restaurant online and seeing mostly positive reviews. We ordered several items to share as a family: broccoli cheddar soup, a French dip sandwich with green beans, and poutine fries. Unfortunately, the broccoli cheddar soup was very bland and lacked seasoning. We had a few bites and ended up leaving the rest. The French dip was the standout of the meal. While the meat itself was a bit dry, dipping it in the au jus made it the most enjoyable and edible item we ordered. The poutine fries were disappointing. They were very basic and didn't resemble what I would expect from poutine--more like prepackaged frozen fries that had been deep-fried. We didn't finish them and left most behind, though we still paid for them. Our child wouldn't eat any of the food, so we ordered the fried ravioli appetizer, hoping it would be similar to versions we've had elsewhere. Sadly, that was another letdown. Although we were told there was no breading, the texture suggested otherwise. This was the one item we did send back. I wouldn't recommend this location for anyone with food allergies or sensitivities, as much of the food appears to be made from frozen or prepackaged items. That said, our server was absolutely wonderful--the highlight of the visit. She was kind, attentive, kept our drinks refilled, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Her sweet demeanor and constant smile were honestly the reason we didn't complain more at the time. While I wouldn't return for the food, I might consider stopping by again strictly for drinks during a sporting event. Otherwise, this just wasn't the dining experience we were hoping for.
