I was taken here for brunch on Valentine's Day. The parking was really convenient and free. The wait wasn't that long considering it was Valentine's Day. We waited approximately 10-15 minutes. The atmosphere was a little busy but it was organized koas. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered southwest chorizo tacos. The restaurant is in a very active area of Raleigh with many stores and attractions, so the busy Saturday morning crowd was expected. I went on a reservation and we were seated promptly after our set time. The waiter was very busy but stopped to make time to explain the popular orders and the drink specials for brunch. Everything came out fresh and warm as ordered, while we had plenty refills and check ups to make sure everything was satisfying. On the other hand, she made this spiked coffee perfectly! I ordered a waffle with chicken sausage and scrambled eggs which was just ok, not bad but nothing unique or special. Another Broke Egg is right next door to the Hyatt we were staying at while in town, so it made sense to have breakfast there. We had the pumpkin crunch waffle ( a seasonal dish) that came with eggs and bacon or sausage. We also had the chicken and waffles. I wanted a hot coffee with Bailey, Khalua, and whipped cream. Since they don't have it as a drink in their menu, the waitress gave me everything a la carte but only charged me for an Irish coffee which was super nice and save me about $6. The waffle was great! I didn't like that they do not automatically use shell eggs. The chicken and waffles were fantastic! They use chicken tenders, and they're huge. Our service was great as well. For $16 this french toast was absolutely disappointing. The portion was tiny and the taste was absolutely awful. I'm shocked that they even thought it was ok to bring this out to us. We've had frozen french toast that was better than this. They gave us syrup on the side and we had to drench the french toast in it to make it taste somewhat decent and even that didn't help much. We also ordered the brunch jumbalaya and for $16, it was a huge waste of money. Absolutely disappointing. It has been a few years since I've been here. Decided to try it for brunch with the family (4). Upon arrival we were told it would be a few minutes to get a table ready. After 35 minutes we were finally seated. During the wait I reviewed their status on Yelp. Shame on me for not doing this sooner. They get a 3.4 with emphasis on unacceptable wait time and poor service. It was becoming evident as we sat in the waiting area that management was subpar. The hostesses were giving different info to arriving and waiting patrons regarding wait times and seating options. After finally getting a table, we sat down to find it was sopping wet (small pool of water by the jelly holder). Fine, no biggie, just use a napkin to wipe it down. After waiting for 5 minutes the table next to us was seated. A couple minutes after that the waitress greeted them and took their order. We had yet to be greeted. A minute later we opened our daughter's silverware to find it still had the remnants of food on it. No waiter in site, we packed up the caravan and left in search of a reliable breakfast joint. Another broken egg café is located in North Hills. There's parking on the street as well as a parking lot and the area is very walkable area. I found parking right outside the restaurant. The restaurant was jampacked. When we entered, the hostess looked at her watch even though it was an hour and a half to closing and I said, do we have enough time, she said yeah yeah yeah. She seemed a little bothered that we came in at that time, but she fixed her face and took us to a table to be seated. The floors were kind of dirty, as if they had stopped sweeping up, and I had to ask them to wipe down the table again. It took longer than usual for a server to come to us. He did apologize when he got there and took our drink Orders. He came back and took our food orders. Our drinks took a while to get there and he apologize for that. The food was OK. the service was OK but the restaurant definitely could do with a manager that stays on top of the staff when it comes to timeliness and cleanliness. The gentleman at the table next to us was complaining to the server and then the manager that the bathrooms were filthy and the toilet was running over so I did not use the restroom. Thank God for hand sanitizer. I really like the bar area. I probably should've sat there and ate. , I'm gonna be back in that area a couple of times in the next coming months so hopefully that restaurant improves read more

The focaccia here is extraordinary. A thin, crispy, tasty treat. Must try. I do not like that the menus and countertops were sticky, and that my poached eggs arrived cold (they didn't even ask how I wanted them - soft, medium, hard). Kinda gross to have cold eggs. The host tried to keep everyone entertained with some bad, corny jokes which made the wait feel even longer. He also accidentally passed us up one time when giving away tables that were ready. If only he were as good at telling bad jokes as he was at his job. The food was not worth the wait at all, especially for the price. Also, all the bathrooms were out of toilet paper, so I had to go all the way to across the street to Harris Teeter to use the bathroom. Waited an hour and a half to be sat when we were told there was a 45 minute wait because the host said he'd forgotten about our group and they sat three people at the only 6 person table. Our waitress constant forgot things like silverware, coffee, our checks, and knocked a glass of water on my jacket and didn't say anything about it. The food took another 45 minutes to come out and arrived lukewarm. I ate with my feet in a puddle and the checks weren't even all correct at the ends. Our appetizer came out last and it was burnt. We ordered the biscuit beignets to start, which were not my favorite, as I was expecting light and fluffy Cafe Du monde beignets. The food took a little while to come out, but when it did the salmon Benedict was delicious, although too salty. First time I have been to Another Broken Egg. Went after a massage with my sister. We happened to be looking at some of the same menu items, so we got a few things to share. We each had an Apple Pie Mimosa and Blueberry Lemon Mimosa. We shared the Hey Lucy Omelet and Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancake with potatoes and chicken sausage. The chorizo was perfect... spicy and not greasy at all. The flavors in the pancake were very complimentary. I was also surprised by the goodness of the chicken sausage. Visited here for brunch during my trip to Raleigh last month. Went on a mid Friday morning and sat outside. Our waiter (can't remember his name, but he used to work at Chick-fil-A; kept saying "my pleasure") was very kind and attentive. He even helped give us suggestions of things to do during our time in the city. I had the Apple fritter French toast with eggs and bacon. My friend had the Bourbon Street Pancakes. We shared a order of the biscuit beignets and each had brunch blueberry margarita. The food was delicious. The beignets were as light or fluffy as I imagined them to be, a little on the harder side. But they weren't the worst thing ever. The margaritas weren't the best either. Tasted like regular OJ mixed with sour&sour marg mix, only thing "blueberry" about it was the 3 they dropped in for garnish. Dirty tables everywhere. Took over 15 minutes to even order drinks. Food didn't take a super long time but was cold and we didn't even have silverware. We asked our waitress and she proceeded to take more orders and disappear in the back and never brought it. Waitress and hostess were both rude when we asked for silverware, we asked THREE different people before a different waitress finally brought us silverware. I haven't been to Another Broken Egg in a while and was looking forward to getting some breakfast here while in town. I was seated at the bar and it wasn't very busy. After sometime waiting (about 10 minutes) I was greeted and my order was taken. That was probably the best part of the whole experience. I had ordered a black coffee and was drinking it (only had about 2-3 sips) when the waitress took it from me, put it on the other side of the bar with no explanation and then she didn't come back for at least 10 minutes. During that time my food came out with no toast for my eggs or syrup for the waffle I had added on and my eggs were saturated in butter. I'm not one to complain so I just dabbed the butter off with my napkin and waited for the waitress. When she finally came I asked about the toast and the syrup. She told me my food didn't come with toast. I pointed out on the menu where it said toast and before I could ask about my coffee she walked away. Some other person brought out my toast and the waitress only stopped by once more after that to put the bill in front of me, she didn't say anything, just put it there and walked away. I was very frustrated because I was nothing but polite the whole time, I never understood or was told why my coffee was taken, and I was charged extra for the toast that was supposed to come with my meal! Basically it was the worst service and food I have had in a long time. If you're considering eating here I recommend that you keep looking because nothing about this place was good in my opinion. We were seated and accommodated with high chairs and crayons lol. That was the end of our customer service/appreciation. Plus, her attitude was very flippant and borderline rude. My husband still left a minimal tip out of decency, though she didn't deserve that. Also, staff walks around with filthy, food stained t-shirts on and unkept, untied hair that should be netted. I watched one server w long, untied hair balance a plate of food that was touching the edge of his hair.
