Bottom line: I enjoyed my Tri-Fecta breakfast meal here. The chicken apple sausage patties were a particularly good part of it, along with the scrambled eggs and multigrain pancake. Positive helpful service. I would avoid the crowded times as I could see this area getting loud with the acoustics there. The Deets: Looking for a change from the normal breakfast places I frequent, I chose First Watch down the road from me (located near The Bradford apartment complex in Cary). I had been there years ago but not gone back to this location since then so they were due for a visit. I was seated promptly upon entering with menus to take in while my beverages came to the table. This location has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as well decorated for a breakfast chain but I can appreciate that when the indoor area gets more crowded, the acoustics can make for a loud atmosphere. They have a good selection from their regular menu as well as a seasonal menu with specials at that time. I went with the Tri-Fecta breakfast meal, which has two eggs any style, either a Belgian waffle/multigrain pancake, choice of bacon/smoked ham/chicken sausage patties/turkey or pork sausage links. I went with my eggs scrambled, one multigrain pancake, and the chicken apple sausage patties. I enjoyed my selection, a good well rounded breakfast. The scrambled eggs were done just as I like them as in not too runny, not too solid browned. The chicken apple sausage patties were a pleasant surprise in that I loved the taste here in that they were not overly spicy and had just enough apple to make it delicious but not sweet...I will definitely remember these in the future. The pancake was pretty fluffy and not dense, as well as a good sized pancake as well in that one was enough for me with all the other choices. My server was very pleasant and helpful (note that refills are taken care of here by a small carafe of coffee left at the table as well as a small bottle of water, as these were my beverage choices). One other observation, not sure why the few regular non-flavored Half-And-Halfs were at the bottom of the bowl on the table and only many all flavored one carefully arranged on very top, but regular ones were there if you dig for them. You can take your bill up front to pay or if choosing to pay at the table then you must do so by QR code (I am not a QR code fan, just never know what you are scanning out and about to be honest why I shy away from it...I have friends in IT security if you cannot tell...). There was a small wait for someone to come to the front register to check me out for paying. I enjoyed this breakfast stop for the most part here at this First Watch location and would visit again in the future but early as possible like this time, to avoid crowds. read more

Came here recently for breakfast, and while I was impressed by the service and the decor, the food was only OK. When I walked in, I was immediately impressed by how clean everything seemed, and the menus made the food look very enticing :) I ordered an omelet that had "the works" (sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, and a few other items) and it was prepared pretty quickly. However, the egg tasted dry, and the items were kind of lumped together inside the omelet instead of being interspersed evenly throughout. It's kind of hard to explain but it's like they didn't mix the ingredients properly. My wife ordered the same thing and was also a bit underwhelmed. Service was very solid throughout. I guess I would come back here, but I would definitely order something else, and I'm sure you could find a much better breakfast at a hole-in-the-wall. read more

We have been coming here for years. We live in Apex and the service at that one is so bad that we drove out of our way to come to this one. We sat outside which was great. Beautiful day and inside is always loud. Joe was our server. Very friendly and helpful. The issue was with our order. I got the elevated egg sandwich. I asked for chicken sausage and avocado on the side. It came on the sandwich so I scraped it off and handed it to my son. My husband got the power bowl. None of us eat pork so he asked for no sausage and extra mushrooms. It came with the pork. Joe didn't return until all of us were done with our food so my husband asked to take it off the bill. Three adults and one two year old came here for a late breakfast on Friday. We were seated quickly and our server was quick to come get drink orders. Right now they have two menus. The regular one and a fall one. Two of us ordered from the regular menu and one had Brussel sprouts and egg dish. She said it was very salty but not to the point she couldn't eat it. We were surprised at the amount of food on the kids plate, especially the fruit . I had an omelette with bacon, cheese and avocado. It came with a salad and toast. It was good but didn't have much bacon...lots of cheese and avocado. A pitcher of water and coffee was left at the table so that was nice. Arrived shortly after 10am for Sunday breakfast and we were seated almost immediately. The dining area was packed and there were also people dining outside. Once we left (around 11:45am) a wait and line had formed so early arrival is recommended. Our server got to us pretty quickly and she was great about answering my questions as I'd never eaten at any First Watch before. I enjoyed the Parma hash (no mushrooms) and put my eggs on the side. The hash was delicious and reminded me of a sausage pizza (which I love) I will say I am very picky with eggs and surprisingly I ate them all (and I usually dislike when the cheese is on top of the eggs vs. being mixed/scrambled in). I've loved First Watch since I first went in Phoenix years ago. I was so glad to go today as it's been a couple of years since I've gone. Met up with a group after church and really enjoyed the food and the service. Our server was very nice and helpful. I could not decide what I wanted, so jumped and decided on the breakfast tacos. The server swayed me to get the potatoes versus the beans and I am so glad I did! The potatoes were very yummy, but a little salty. However, the tacos that were stuffed with avocado, chorizo, cheese, chicken, and Pico de gallo. Wow! And wow again! I've been missing these for the classic breakfasts for so long! TLDR: Delicious and nutritious entrees for a reasonably price! We decided to dine here on a Sunday around 11 am. Sunday brunch is likely their busiest time so we expected a wait. A few of our party arrived early to put our name on the waitlist. The hostesses informed us it would be at least a 40 minute wait. We decided to drive to a nearby cafe with the plan to return in about 30 minutes. Shortly after we left we received a text saying to visit the hostess stand since our table was nearly ready. Thankfully the rest of our party were a few minutes away so they went to the hostess stand and claimed the table. They were seated just 10 minutes after we had first arrived. I'm certainly happy we were seated sooner, but wish they had originally provided a more accurate wait time. 10 minutes vs. at least 40 minutes is quite the difference. Thankfully they were able to seat us with most of the party present as we drove back. Our waitress Tory was great. She was attentive and energetic. I had been craving french toast so went with that but after seeing what my friends ordered I wished I had ordered the avocado toast as they give a great amount of avocado on it. My french toast was ok and nothing special. I wouldn't order it again. Service was not very attentive but she likely had more tables than she could handle so I can give a pass on that. This was the one by bradford plaza, near Publix. I had the smoked salmon benedict around 11am. The first time that it came out the eggs were hard boiled, so I sent it back. the next time it came out, the whites were runny, but I was hungry, and my son was done with his breakfast. I took one bite, and the fish was so spoiled that I had a fish taste that stayed in my mouth for a couple hours. I left with my son (who had the lemon ricotta pancakes with no problem), and paid. Server was nice, but I feel like I have food poisoning. I have not eaten anything else today. Revisited for brunch today and this time around I had a very positive experience! My friend and I split two dishes: the market hash and the lemon ricotta pancakes. This was a solid amount of food and everything was cooked well and had great flavor. Market hash: the potatoes had some crunch to it (on my first visit they were not cooked enough) and the dish itself worked really well together with its seasoned veggies and we chose to top it with an over-hard egg. It also came with multigrain toast which was fluffy and thick, and the jam that came on the side was very tasty! Lemon ricotta pancakes weren't overly sweet and the syrup they give you is warm. It's possible it would have felt like too heavy of a meal if you were to just get the pancakes, so I really like that we shared a sweet dish and a savory dish. This was the first time I came to this chain and will be interested to compare this experience to the one close to my house as I was on the road for this visit. The greeting by the hostess....well....it was a guy so I don't think you call them hostesses? Bellhop? No, that's not it...well, the dude that greeted us at the door was great. There.. our waiter...a guy too, was also very friendly and help on menu selections. I selected the breakfast tacos. Never had anything like that so I thought, what the hell. I really did. I sat there and said, what the hell. Anyway, they were....good...but lacked something. They just missed the mark on flavor. Perhaps topping them with a touch of cilantro or another herb. Perhaps just some salt. There was none on the table due to Covid so I couldn't give it a try. The place was really clean and will be visiting the place at home to do a bit of comparison.
