Brick hard biscuits and apple butter
    Anissa W.

My family & I visited for our first time the morning of 7/24/25. With the reviews we read, we just knew it would be an AMAZING experience. Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in to when we met our server to when we got our food, it was a very unwelcoming and blah experience. The young lady who seated us wasn't friendly. She looked like we were bothering her & only ended up going back to talk at the bar area once she got us to our table. We got the same type of thing from our server. I don't remember his name - I don't even think he told us. He asked about drinks and gave us time to look at the sticky menus. I was immediately ready to leave, but my family was starving and wanted to stay. So, we did. He brought us some hard as a brick biscuits that tasted like KFC biscuits. I ordered bacon and a pancake. It wasn't anything special. It tasted like Hungry Jack to me. My son got chicken and waffles. He loved the chicken but hated the waffle because it was burnt. My other family member got some biscuit, egg, and chicken thingy with a side of grits and bacon. He wasn't happy because it was the same brick hard biscuits that were originally brought to us. Maybe they were made the night before...??? He liked everything else. Anyway, I won't be back. I truly didn't enjoy the experience & I can get less attitude and better pancakes at IHOP or home. Hopefully, you all will have a better experience.

Love flying biscuit and this was my first time at this location. I'm shocked to say it was not busy when we got there at 8:15am on a Saturday morning. Which was perfect because we had a group of 14. Great spot for a group breakfast. They have these really cool murals on their wall. You're treated to the same delicious menu you find at all Flying Biscuits. I'll admit, I've never gotten the same thing twice because there are so many good options. This time I got the breakfast sandwich which they make on an English muffin (which I wanted - not a biscuit breakfast sandwich person) and the delicious grits. A few in our group were new to Flying Biscuit and raved about the biscuits and the grits. I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich and would get it again. We also had a lovely server - Lauren - who was an expert when dealing with a large group. Def would return if I'm ever in the area.

Three of us came here before catching a flight in RDU nearby. We were seated right away, which was great because most of the tables were full, and our waitress came after a few minutes and got our drink order. There are tables menu is large and has both breakfast and lunch items. We all got breakfast . Two of us got the stuffed cheesecake French toast breakfast which came with eggs, grits and sausage. The biscuits were brought to the table first with some apple butter. I preferred real butter but by the time I could get the waitress attention my biscuit was cold. It was ok, just not my favorite biscuit. The meal was good, could have been hotter, but was all good. My water was never refilled and the other girls had to ask for more coffee. The decor is nice and the tables were cleaned quickly. I would give the food a 4 star but the service a 3 star. Not attentive or very friendly. Probably will not return.

This place is great for breakfast/ brunch. Staff are pretty friendly. Standard looking brunch spot. Their menu does have variety of items to choose from . Plenty of parking.

This place was incredible from start to finish! I googled best breakfast near me and this place was on top and it did not disappoint! Customer service was great from the moment we walked in! They had lots of servers and they were all friendly! The decor is cute and inviting and everything appeared clean and organized. My wife got the stuffed French toast and I got the honey butter chicken and waffles. Both were outstanding! We also got the loaded potatoes and a hot chicken and waffles to go. The complimentary biscuits with apple butter were heavenly. The grits may have been the best part of the meal. We will definitely be returning often!

The strawberries and cream was super delicious and hit my craving just right. The bang bang shrimp tacos had a kick with the sauce, but incorporating pineapple was what gave this a 10/10 for me. He didn't introduce himself and stated that he will get us waters and asked if we wanted something else. We received the waters quickly. He returned a couple minutes later to inquire if we had questions about the menu, which we did. I also asked about Debbie Lou's Sandwich shop. He said it used to be separate until COVID. Then, they combined and were doing two separate menus. Now, they combined the menus and switch it up every couple months. At 9:50am, we ordered. I got the strawberry butter French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. The other party got the cinnamon sugar waffles with bacon and side of cheese grits. At 10:02am, we received the food. Food Quality: 3/5 -At 9:52am, waiter brought over complimentary biscuits. The butter on top was visible and it was paired with a strawberry jam. The biscuits were soft, fluffy, and down right delicious! -Cheesy Grits: You must stir it because the cheese is at the bottom melting. My date stated "it's good grits" -Bacon: The first piece of bacon I tasted was not warm at all and was chewy. Of my 3-4 pieces of bacon, only a small piece was warm and crispy like I expected. This was disappointing. My date's bacon was the perfect temperature and crispiness. The disparity questions consistency. -Eggs: Perfect temperature but lacked seasoning or flavor. I added salt and pepper and it was fine. -French Toast: Very thick. The cream cheese was too much, in my opinion. This was evident when I cut into it and it basically drowned my French toast with the syrup. I was expecting fresh strawberries but it wasn't. It tasted like strawberry crumbs as it was somewhat hard and crunchy. The edges of the French toast were a little over cooked and burnt in some places. The interior of the fresh toast was soft and delicious. -Waffles: My date said the "Cinnamon sugar was perfect." I tasted it and they indeed were flavorful and delicious! Presentation: 5/5 -Well-presented, neat, and appetizing -Whipped cream butter on my French toast was in an excessive amount -There was a green garnish on the eggs, which was in excessive and overpowered the eggs. If there were only a couple Service: 4/5 -Per receipt, our waiter was "Isaiah M." He was friendly and attentive. Outside of not introducing himself (which is a personal pet peeve), the service was great. He attempted to help me decide which entree to get as I was deciding between the strawberry butter French toast and cinnamon roll pancakes. He noted they both were great options and are a consistent menu item even as they rotate out the menu. Ambiance & Cleanliness: 5/5 -The music was great! It was mostly R&B, which is our favorite genre! -On the table, they have sugar, salt, pepper, creamer, and a container of straws. -The place was clean and tidy. Staff went around to clear plates and tables. Value for Money: 4/5 -For the two entrees and side of grits, the total was $41, which isn't bad. -The side of eggs was tiny. It honestly shocked us. My date is allergic to eggs, so I ate his (which they did put on a separate plate) Overall Experience: 4/5 -My date said it was the "Best breakfast place I had in a while." For him, his food and everything was perfect. He disliked they he was unable to substitute the eggs, which he is allergic to. This caused him to give me his eggs and pay for a different side. The Deets: Looking for a change of pace from my usual early Sunday breakfast, I went over to the La Farm Bakery location within the Whole Foods at Arco St off Hwy 55. They were open bright and early at 7am so I hit them a bit after opening. Going over to the "Order Here" counter, I got to look at all the great baked items in the display case beside it (pic nabbed, check it out). Looking over the good selections on the menu, I went with the Croque Madame for breakfast with one of their drip coffees. The person at the register was pleasant and helpful. I took my coffee over to one of the tables in the seating area to wait for my order to be brought to me. The seating area is a nice bakery/bistro combo feel to it, casual but charming in feeling. I did notice that even though it was near opening time, some of the tables in the seating area could do with a bit of cleanup. Their drip coffee was OK, not outstanding, and did the trick for my morning wake-up. My Croque Madame was delivered to my table in good time (by someone with no smile or communication, noted). Here is where the La Farm Bakery strength showed through as expected...the food. The Croque Madame was excellent (again, see pic), everything tasted great and I enjoyed it. I loved they gave you a heavy duty serrated knife to use with the toasted bread.
