I was in the area and decided to finally go to Brew, as I rarely am in downtown Cary! I'm so glad I did. It took some time to find parking as the surrounding parking lots were full, but I found street parking around the corner. The ambiance is warm and cozy. Brew and the Cary Theater share common space, so you can enter from either entrance. The service is awesome, I was waited on right away and the barista was helpful with suggestions. I ordered a cookie butter latte and an oatmeal raisin cookie w/ walnuts. Both were absolutely delicious, a great combo. When I finished my latte, I dipped my cookie in the cup to get the last of the foam...so good. The baked goods are from Ninth Street Bakery in Durham. How amazing local supporting local. I sat at the bar area. I loved that there were hooks underneath for your belongings, you don't see that everywhere. They have the high top areas, along with a few tables and chairs. Came for a Sunday stop with a friend. Just a note because it's in the downtown area it's extremely hard to find parking and most of it is street parking (with some construction nearby). Overall, the little coffee shop is cute and has a little bit of outdoor seating which I liked but is expensive for being so mid in my opinion. I ended up paying almost $7 for a blueberry latte. Overall, my latte tasted like a regular latte, even though it did have a seasonal blueberry syrup added to it. I know that blueberry is very light in flavor compared to coffee so I asked for more than the allotted amount of syrup and their response was that they had a certain amount added to of syrups added. So I said ok thinking they would take that into consideration but when I got my coffee, guess the amount they added didn't matter because it tasted the same as a latte regular. Unfortunately, at the end of my coffee (like the last 20%) had what I assume to be bits of berry in it? The texture made me toss the remaining amount. With the high prices and the location right on a busy street / no parking I probably wouldn't be back but I did enjoy being about to sit outside under an umbrella and the service was nice / fast. All the stars would go to the servers and overall cleanliness honestly. read more

Loved this cafe! In a great spot by the new Cary Downtown Park and in a walkable area. Parking is not the best, but when we went it looked as though a parking deck is in the works. The vanilla latte was delicious and their sandwiches are good too! Hubby and I got the chicken salad sandwich to share, and it was a great pick me up for our day. Stopped in for a quick chai latte on a weekday afternoon around lunchtime while in downtown Cary. Bottom line: this is a great place for coffee and conversation, but not necessarily an ideal place to study or work if deep focus is required, especially if constant chatter bothers you. My chai latte was fine -- the spice was just right, but it probably could've used a bit more oatmilk. A regular was close to nearly $7 (but I added oat milk which was an extra $0.90). There is limited seating and the tables downstairs closest to the barista were near each other. There is outdoor seating and limited second floor setoo. When I visited, patrons were, for the most part (maybe due to the lunch hour), conversing with friends over coffee. I sat the counter along the wall and was able to work a little on my laptop, using the shop's free WiFi. I wouldn't have been able to deeply focus there, but the environment was fine for the routine tasks I needed to complete (e.g., email/calendar management). My favorite part about the whole place is the cool winding staircase. There are a few places to sit upstairs near the Cary Theater's office space. Perhaps it is quieter working up there but no seats were available there for my visit. Parking could potentially be challenging due to the limited number of spots reserved for other nearby businesses, but I was in luck that day and found the last empty spot in the back lot. They serve coffee, tea, and some food (toast, bagel, sandwiches, muffins, etc). I enjoyed the tea, the flavor and how they serve it. So many places serve tea in disposable containers even if you are dining in. Here you receive the mug, teapot, and a platter designed to hold them. Elegant and ideal for enjoying loose leaf teas. We stopped by BREW Coffee Bar for a quick pick-me-up while walking around downtown Cary. I tried an iced latte ($4.50) with seasonal rose syrup ($1.00) and oat milk ($0.70). After tax and tip, the drink worked out to $7.95 total. Regular size. It was OK. BREW is unique in that it's located inside The Cary Theater. The cafe opened in March 2016, adjacent to the theater's lobby. There are various indoor and outdoor spaces and seating to choose from, including some quieter upper-level areas next to some of the theater's offices/private rooms and balcony. The wide spiral staircase is a cool feature. Overall, the place has somewhat of a neat, hip feel to it. Outside on the patio, you can sit next to the theater's art deco storefront. Along with coffee, BREW serves a small variety of interesting loose-leaf teas, seasonal drinks, kombucha, and food -- sandwiches, toast, bagels, English muffins, yogurt and granola, and more. Service was fine. The cashier was a bit dismissive, not very warm/friendly. Very limited parking is available for BREW and The Cary Theater behind the building. You're better off parking for free on a nearby street like E Cedar St, one block to the north. read more

There is seating both on the first floor and in an upstairs space, though it may be hard to find a spot when the cafe is busy. Their wifi wasn't working at all when we visited, so we wouldn't recommend coming here for a study or working session. Service: Our barista was friendly, and our drinks came out quickly. I like this place, but they don't understand how to serve nitro cold brew. It's the only place I've been to that puts ice in it. Ice ruins the texture, and defeats the purpose of using nitrogen. It also dilutes the flavor. It's already cold -- and the carbonation actually helps it maintain its coldness for longer. read more

I believe there are a few BREW locations throughout Raleigh and this is not the main one, however it's cute and on a quaint little street with much parking and conveniently close to the airport. I stopped by to caffeinated and get some work done before picking up friends at RDU and found it the perfect little spot to plug in and be productive. Downstairs there's individual and group seating inside and out, and upstairs there's a group meeting room plus classroom style desk seating for the quieter, individual studiers. They have a small selection of fresh pastries and oatmeal varieties to accompany your coffee. They have espresso and black coffee options with many milk substitutes to choose from. I did not see any gluten free pastries, though I did arrive mid afternoon so they have sold out - call before or check their social media pages to see their options. Overall, staff were great, espresso was good, options weren't limited, wifi was strong, parking was easy, and environment was pleasant. I would visit again! read more
