    Cinnamon white chocolate scone
    Lexi G.

The inside was super cute, and the breads and pastries all looked SO good! We got a cinnamon white chocolate scone and it was indeed delicious. Our positive experience stopped there... My husband ordered a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, and I ordered just the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. They both came on ciabatta, and when I asked if I could get mine on a croissant they said no (no biggie....... But I think they said no because it's just a frozen p.o.s!). The ciabatta was tasty, the egg and stuff was yuck yuck yuck. Enjoy the pictures, it'll take your appetite away. I thought to myself, what on earth is in the egg??? Either way, I'm just going to make my own scones at home, as this is a great reason to never buy one again. We won't be back for our McDonald's sandwich dupes. Thanks

We had high hopes because of the reputation and saw a lot of people eating outside. I think this is a place that was once great but has stopped trying their best. Why would I say that, the store did not have much in it, the breads looked good as did some of the treats. We bought two kinds of cookies, some granola and bread. One of the cookies was so bad my wife took it back! Thats rare, she almost never takes things back, even if she doesn't like it. She told them how bad it was and the woman inside said she had never tried them, worse, they don't even bake them! They buy them from some other company that makes mass-produced cookies. The chocolate cookies were kind of like those easy premade tubes of cookies you buy at the grocery store and heat up at home. Nothing special and not really good. The granola was ok, not great, it was over 15 dollars a bag and basically the same stuff you buy at the grocery store cereal isle for $5 a box. Again, this may have ben great once, but now, they need to rethink their business and try harder.

I had read online that this was a "must visit" four out of towners coming to the area for the first time so I knew I had to check it out. Very lovely staff. Great location with easy parking and lots of outdoor seating. The employee recommended the stuffed baguette so I couldn't resist.

This is one of our family's favorite spots for all things bread and breakfast. We always make a stop here whenever we're in the areas. In the morning, there are usually plenty of tables available, so we've never had to wait for a seat. The food always comes out fresh, hot and delicious, with plenty of sweets and savory items to satisfy every craving. We especially loved our breakfast and chocolate eclair, though we did find the coffee eclair a bit disappointing. It dry and tasted like it was not fresh.

I had such high hopes for La Farm as I've had their baked goods on several occasions and was super impressed. However, this was not the case for my food today. I was starving and heading into work, so I thought I would grab a quick and delicious bite. Everything I asked for was unfortunately not available. I went with the Croque Monsieur, as it was the only cooked food available. It came out to me in a cute little white box. As I opened the box, I was saddened to see the size of the sandwich and that it was covered with this thick cheese and mayo like substance. It was super greasy and thick. I tried my first bite and a second bite. My teeth could barely get through the bread. I had to break it off to eat it. I thought maybe I would have a better time with eating the ham. The ham was these three sad and basic slices of deli meat. After trying the ham and attempting one more bite, I said no way am I going to be able to finish this and return it. I spoke with the manager upon returning the sandwich. He explained that their food is brought in from another location, and they just have a toaster in the back to warm it up; so it is better to go to the other location. If you know the quality of your cooked food will not be the best because you do not have adequate facilities then do not offer it. Two stars for being able to access a manager and get my money back. Minus three for the lackluster service and telling me to leave and go up the street for better quality food. Also, for not indicating on your menu that it is controlled by you on an adjustable screen, what items are not available. I will not be returning.

TLDR: Excellent breads and pastries! Love their original Cary location. This location offers another store front to sell their delicious baked goods. There is no restaurant at this storefront, but they do sell pre-made sandwiches and quiches. Typically I go to their Cary Parkway location, but since I was in the area I decided to give this spot a try. It is small and packed with items. As always, I'm so happy I stopped by. I was specifically looking for a small snack, dessert, and a loaf of bread to go with dinner. La Farm of course did not disappoint. I purchased blueberry scone, chocolate croissant (my favorite), focaccia (highly recommend), sourdough, almond croissant, and a berry cream cheese tart. I was happy to see that their blueberry scone didn't have white chocolate in it as their other scones do. Although we liked all of the items, we especially recommend the focaccia. It has the perfect texture and flavor. Only problem is that we eat everything too fast! Similar to their original Cary location, they sell a variety of breads, pastries, beverages, and merchandise here. Although they do not have a kitchen, they sell pre-made sandwiches and quiches. Customer service is great at both locations I have visited. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and helped right away. Parking was easy as they have ample spots available right out front. Overall, excellent experience and we recommend this bakery to others!

Yummy pastries but just okay lattes. They add wayyyy too much milk. Good quiche but desperately needs salt and pepper. Everything here is overpriced. The quiche was almost $12.

Stopped in for breakfast since I was getting work done on my jeep down at Cj Autosport and La Farm did not disappoint ! The sausage stuffed Baquette was warm and flavor and the Baquette was nice and crunchy . The Hazelnut beignets were pillowy soft almost like what you find at cafe du monde in New Orleans but without the powdered sugar. Staff was nice and fast would definitely drop by again

Finally got a picture of my favorite breakfast item at La Farm - the ham and cheese croissant. It is a perfect (albeit, very messy) choice if you love savory breakfast foods. Crispy on the outside, while soft, savory, and cheesy on the inside. I also got an oat milk latte, my go-to whenever I'm at La Farm. Such a warm and comforting cup of coffee -- it never gets old. Can't wait to come back!

burnt croissant.,they took flaky to the next level.

quality of bread and croissants has gone downhill., 2nd day in a row., over baked pan au chocolat., so dark it's unappealing and not appetizing., too crumbly all the way inside. The lady at the counter was so rude, she was rushing my husband to check out while he's busy looking on the bread section and trying to choose which bread to buy., meanwhile the rude girl was talking loudly with a male co worker calling him a loser and exchanging unpleasantries with each other. We will try the other branches in Cary as this will be our last on this branch.

What's not to love at La Farm! It's a bakery institution in the Triangle- one of the best in town. I stopped by on a Saturday morning to grab some treats for my husband and stepdaughter. I got her one of the little bread men and she just ate all the chocolate parts, but loved it. My husband's favorite it the pain au chocolat and croissants. If you've never been, go visit ASAP!

Got it. Here is the revised Yelp review with the correct name:…read more My wife and I recently stopped by Once in a Blue Moon Bakery and Café in downtown North Carolina, and we left already planning our next visit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly and served with genuine kindness. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. It feels like the kind of place where you can slow down, sit across from someone you love, and actually enjoy your coffee. We ordered an espresso, a latte, a chocolate croissant, and a lemon pastry. Everything was fresh. The croissant had crisp, flaky layers on the outside and a soft, buttery texture inside. The lemon pastry was bright and balanced, not overly sweet. The espresso was strong and smooth. The latte was well crafted and comforting. Service was quick without feeling rushed. The space was clean. The overall experience was simple and well done. If you are in downtown and want good coffee, fresh pastries, and attentive service, Once in a Blue Moon Bakery and Café is worth your visit. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will return. On the positive side, the flavors themselves were solid overall. The icing was tasty, and while the cake was decent, it leaned a bit dry, which was already giving us pause given this was meant to showcase their best work. What really ended the conversation for us was a major quality issue. Two of the icing sample balls each had a very long hair in them. It was immediately noticeable and extremely off-putting. At that point, we lost confidence and couldn't bring ourselves to continue sampling, let alone consider trusting them with something as important as a wedding cake. Between the dryness of the cake and the hair issue, we ultimately decided to go in a different direction. Not terrible flavor-wise, but the experience as a whole was disappointing and fell short for such a high-stakes purchase.

Seating is genuinely plentiful: a full dining room of marble-top tables inside plus a large fenced patio out front shaded by trees and umbrellas. Easy to grab a spot whether you're solo with a laptop or meeting a group. The pastry case is where the variety really shows off. Beyond the expected croissants, almond pastries, and fruit danishes, there's a deep savory lineup -- the Pastry Frank, Hot Dog Roll, Bourdin Garlic Cheese Quiche, and a Pepperoni Pizzetta among them. The standout (and most photogenic) was the hot dog roll: a whole frankfurter wrapped in glossy bread, crowned with crispy panko, ketchup-mustard drizzle, and a sprinkle of parsley. Equal parts strange and delicious. Plenty of room, plenty to choose from, and consistently solid quality. A reliable spot for a coffee, a pastry, or a savory bite.

I was…read moreso excited to learn we had a Paris Baguette in the area after visiting the VA Beach location about 3 weeks ago. I was headed out to my cousins house not far from there and thought I would scoop up a few things for us to snack on. I knew I wanted the fruit tarts and they are pure perfection in my opinion-I bought 4 in total-I ate one the second I got into the car and the rest were had later in the day. I also wanted to try some of their savory options as when I was there a few weeks ago, they were sold out of the ham and cheese croissant and was really excited to give it a try, and wow it was worth the wait! I also got a pepperoni pizza and some sort of pastry with a hot dog in it. We cut each of the savory options into third so we could sample each item. Everything about the ham and cheese croissant was pure perfection and was the favorite of all three of us! I hate that I didn't take any photos of the building-the outside was nothing special but pastries were beautifully displayed and they had so many options to choose from! The rest room wasn't super tidy, but it was bad either-it was a very busy Sunday afternoon! Now to breakdown the customer service piece that prevented me from giving y'all a perfect score, please do better! I was not greeted when it was my turn, in fact there were two people at registers and after both finished they both walked away without saying anything. So, I stood there and waited and at this point no one was behind me. I don't recall the name of the young man that checked me out. I said hello and asked how do I sign up for their rewards program? I'm not sure he understood my question. I asked again and he told me that I had to sign up for it. There seemed to be a disconnect so I just asked if I could sign up for it later and get credit for the large purchase I was making and all he said was he would give me a receipt. He rang up my pastries and I then asked if he could package the sweet and savory items separately and he seemed annoyed. I also ordered myself an iced chai and he seemed bothered that I wanted a drink. At this point there was a really long line of people and he was not efficient in our encounter at all. I truly believe customers service makes or breaks and experience and sadly, this guy missed the mark after I spent $40+! I'm hoping he was just having an off day.

The Apfel (apple) turnover was delicious, as was the Heidelbeerkuchen (blueberry cake) and Zitronenschnitten (lemon bar). While waiting for another guy behind the counter to bag my goodies, I happened to mention (to who I think was Norbert) that I'm learning German, and he spoke some basic German to me! Which I understood - OMG, must tell my German teacher. A couple weeks later I needed to bring desserts to our monthly Book Club meeting, and Annelore's was my first thought. I decided to visit their actual store in Cary. Even though it's an hour away from home, I stopped by one day when I had to go to Raleigh for an appointment. An Annelore's employee helped me with selecting about six cake slices and 2-3 different bars, plus some German cookies. Cozy neighborhood café-bakery with a sprawling chalkboard menu and a pastry case that's hard to…read morewalk past. I went savory: a chicken salad croissant (flaky, generously filled, with a side of bow-tie pasta salad and a creamy poppyseed slaw) and a pressed caprese-style panini with tomato, mozzarella, and basil grilled to a deep golden crisp. Both solid, satisfying lunches. On the drinks, the cold brew made with Joe Van Gogh beans was great--smooth and well-balanced. The iced café au lait was acceptable, nothing memorable but it did the job. The bakery case alone is worth a stop: cannoli, cranberry almond muffins, strawberry streusel coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, brownies, and a rack of croissants. Friendly counter service and a comfortable spot whether you're grabbing a quick bite or lingering with a coffee. Worth a return visit. Prices are very reasonable.

Chanticleer is a hidden gem in Cary! I don't know why it's taken me so long to discover it…read more The staff are all super friendly and welcoming. They helped me navigate my coffee order and executed it to perfection. They also answered all of my gluten free questions and took extra precautions for my allergy. The egg white and cheese sandwich with turkey bacon was great. Pro tip: Order it with a double portion of egg white for added protein. I also got an iced cafe latte with caramel. You can get a punch card for every coffee and get one free on your tenth purchase. They have a great pastry selection. I got an almond croissant to go for my mom on a recommendation from a friend that said it's a can't miss! (I can't try it due to my allergy but it looks amazing) The ambiance has a cute cafe with plenty of seating.

"VERY hole-in-the-wall Middle Eastern patisserie"…read more This gives hole-in-the-wall new meaning. The location is in a strip-mall that's set back a ways from 55, so it's not really visible from the street at all. However, it's weirder than that-- you have to drive AROUND the strip mall to the back, past the various loading docks for other stores, and they you see this place is open just from the BACK of the strip mall. I heard the owner is Algerian, but there are many Palestinian references and flags around the shop, so if that's triggering, then know this in advance before coming in. Still, the place is brightly lit and airy, with tables to eat. They do custom cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts, but we just wanted to sample some sweets. Hours are funny-- just midday Friday through Sunday. We ordered a pecan brownie and a pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa (shredded Middle Eastern pastry), as well as a mocha coffee. The mocha coffee was rich and delicious, as expected. The pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa was to-die-for... SO delicious. Super thick and messy, as you'd hope it would be. And of course the pecan brownie was amazing. I will say the pastries are not "cheap". I got a single tahini chocolate chip cookie to go for a friend, and that was $4.50 for a modest sized cookie. The other dishes above were in the $6 range. But these are unusual custom-made dishes, so it's fair.

I don't speak French, but trying to find this place left me wondering if the name means "receded"…read moreor something like that, because it is hidden away. in the back of a shopping center. Both the atmosphere and the menu are a mix of French and Arabic, so I got a cherry-infused chocolate cake and some sort of cheese and za'atar savory bun, along with a cardamom chai. The chai flavor was interesting, but not altogether strong, while the cake was as delicious as it looked. My cheese pastry was strongly salty, for better or for worse. The price reflects the quality of the food more than the location, let's say, but I was glad I went.
