On a whim we decided to enjoy a road trip and Raleigh adventure. We started our day at this great coffee shop. The coffee shop is on a fairly busy street with street parking everywhere. It's a cozy and comfortable place with inside and outdoor seating. They serve several types of coffee blends and other beverages. They also have a limited pastry and baked goods selection. After ordering our cold brew, macchiato, and chocolate croissant we sat in some comfortable chairs in an area with shelves full of neat and quirky items to peruse while waiting for our order. While waiting a section of the bookcases opened as a family walked out. Didn't realize it was there. Not sure what's back there, but pretty interesting nonetheless. Picked up our orders and sipped over a conversation for lunch and hitting some open houses. The cold brew was very good. The croissant was fluffy and tasty, which paired well with the strength of the macchiato. This is a great little place to enjoy coffee and conversation or read a book. There were a few patrons working on their laptops as well. Pretty cool place overall. Recommend trying this place. read more

Cute spot! I ordered an iced pistachio latte and it was yummy. The barista was friendly and they seem to be dog friendly as well. I came here to kill some time and read, so i wondered through the shop. The ambience is very cozy, and they had a cover patio (though it was kind of rainy that day). There was also a little room with tchotchkes for sale, and the tea room (I poked my head in just to see and the employee was ~ not amused ~ oops). I'd say this is great if you want to stop in for coffee and chat with a friend. I'd also love to book tea sometime, as it's a cool concept! This wouldn't be on my list for a solo coffee trip, as it was hard to find a comfortable corner to read a book. read more

Little Native has been on my list for some time, and today I finally visited for this week's edition of coffee shop Saturday, and I'm so glad I did. You wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it. It's kind of hidden in a neighborhood downtown Raleigh. It's super cute inside. In the main area where you order there's seating for about 6-8 people. Then you go up a couple of stairs and there's the cutest little nook with a few seats. There's a beautiful outdoor seating area that I'd love to go back to and relax while sipping my coffee. I ordered a latte, hot with the seasonal pistachio butter syrup. The service is awesome. The young ladies working today were super friendly and happy to help their customers! The latte was perfectly made. I loved every sip. read more

I saw someone post about this coffee shop on TikTok and had to come visit. It wasn't what I expected walking in, it was SO MUCH CUTER! It gave Speakeasy vibes with a touch of a study. I had their seasonal flavor of Gingerbread cookie Latte (hot) and it was everything I thought it would be and more when I saw the flavor. It tasted like gingerbread cookie in a cup. I loved it. I also had a ham and cheese croissant, and she warmed it up for me so you know it was even more delicious because who doesn't love a warm, crusty croissant. It was such a great portion, perfectly flaky, and kept me satisfied for my road trip to Va and more. The service and vibe here will keep me coming back over and over. It's definitely a hidden gem with a hidden gem, because there's also a speakeasy inside of it! So cool! Go check it out! I can't wait to return! read more

I was on a morning stroll downtown and stopped for an oat milk chia tea. Honestly it was the perfect sweetness, I didn't have to add anything to it and it came out at a drinkable temperature. This place is super adorable, they have indoor and outdoor seating that's both pet friendly. And the library is also a nick nack shop with locally made goods. Friendly service, there's usually one barista who makes everything fresh so there may be a well worth it wait. read more

I was so excited to visit this little gem! There were some pros and cons. The vibe and aesthetic were dark green, cozy, and giving rainy day. It was on the smaller side, so we didn't feel comfortable staying too long as it was filling up. Unfortunately, I ordered a vanilla cold brew and added cream and sugar - and it was fairly foul. I was able to stomach a few sips and had to toss it. I'm unsure how it was so bad. It was also Saturday around 9:45 AM and they only had one ham and cheese croissant, when we wanted two. The shopping area was so cute and had some great local goodies (I actually got a fabulous little mug!) but it's on the shelves behind the chairs so I couldn't actually access most of it. I wouldn't discourage from visiting but unfortunately, I will not rush to return! read more

My son and I roam the Triangle looking for the best coffee spots. He actually found this one which is located just east of downtown Raleigh. It's nice, quaint and a bit eclectic. They have a speakeasy room through a hidden door in the bookshelf. Another patron mentioned that people reserve them for coffee and tea tastings. Interesting. Anyway, the coffee was very good and not bitter or over roasted. My son had some sort of flavored latte and he enjoyed it. read more

Little native is becoming one of my favorite downtown Raleigh coffee shops. I love the design with all of the natural plants and the serene vibes of the coffee shop, plus they have an amazing outdoor patio space which is perfect for working or just catching up with friends. They make delicious coffee drinks, the perfect balance of flavor and strength. I love trying their seasonal lattes as they are always fun to enjoy and unique like the pistachio butter latte I got today. I do wish they had a few more food options in the shop but overall it's the perfect neighborhood coffee shop. read more

It's a nice little space, but I was surprised that the people working there seemed drowsy. I was not there particularly early, and service was a bit laconic. I was also surprised that when I ordered a waffle off their menu, they acted a little baffled and had to check whether they had it. They did, and it was a nice waffle, but didn't come with any sauces or toppings as I'd expected. The chai I got was advertised with a house ginger syrup and that delivered on flavor and had a nice kick. Still, I was kind of underwhelmed with the experience. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but this one felt necessary. The pumpkin spice latte was great, and the space had a solid vibe. Could use a few more tables in the back, but that's not a dealbreaker. What is a dealbreaker is the service. The barista working Saturday was flat-out rude. She snapped at the people behind me for leaving the door open too long, then got nasty with a customer when his order was delayed--telling him it was "taking a while because it's an espresso drink." Turns out, she had actually lost his order. No apology, just moved on. If the staff were more welcoming, this place would be worth coming back to. But right now, it's not. read more

My iced vanilla oat latte was around $6 but it was huge for the price! Also very well made and creamy. They have a huge outdoor patio as well. Coffee was great but more importantly customer service was amazing! I'm from out of town and my iPhone stopped working with lightning cables (the only charging cables I had) the day I flew into Raleigh. So I found myself downtown at 5% with no way to get directions to where I am staying (a 20 min drive away) or access to a magnetic charger. Though the baristas behind the counter didn't have a mag safe charger they gave me detailed directions to the nearest Target and even made sure that the store would have the exact charger that I needed. I don't know how I would have charged my phone and drove to my stay without them!! Super cute shop too with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and lots of well taken care of plants. read more

The space has soul in every corner.. very cozy and great place for studying. Definitely the best coffee in Raleigh and probably ever. You can tell it's locally owned because the syrups are all homemade and made with intention when they are prepping their specialty coffee menu! I've been here twice now and my experiences both time have been meh. The first time my iced latte was decent, not anything special, and the second time, my iced matcha latte was actually very good. However, the problem is the service. Both times, I had a negative experience interacting with the staff. They act like you being in their presence and ordering a coffee at their place of work is a burden. The first time, the woman was snappish at me for no reason as if I kicked her dog right in front of her. The second time, the young man did not look at me one time from when I came in the door to the time I left. This is not a thing about not making eye contact, he literally did not even look at my person the entire time I was in the shop. So strange and super uncomfortable. The coffee is good enough but I just don't think I'll come back due to my experiences. read more

Awesome little coffee shop! Great coffee with both their own roast and a guest roast available on drip and a wide variety of other options ranging from cold brew to espresso-based drinks. The food options were all vegan and were screaming deliciousness just by looking at them and the monster-sized cinnamon roll simply needed to be purchased. It tasted just as good as it looked and was a perfect addition to the cup of warm coffee. Nice atmosphere with a few high-stop seats and a row of lower seats available perfect to chill for a bit and enjoy not just the coffee and food but also the good tunes and the lush flowers/plants in the shop. An outdoor seating area was also available just to the side of the coffee shop which would be the sort of place you could hang for a while, get some work done, read a book and sip on some really awesome coffee. read more

You've got to check out Little Native! The coffee is seriously good, and their baked goods are actually tasty--none of those rock-hard pastries. I had a chocolate chip cookie with my iced latte, and it was perfect. The place has a cozy vibe with a cool dark color scheme and lots of plants.
