I'm a sucker for a seasonal menu and the shortbread old fashioned was like heaven in a cup. #Caffeinefix The space is cozy enough to camp out and work remotely, but spacious enough for both big groups and intimate hangs without feeling crowded. Parallax has been on my list of coffee shops for some time now, and I finally made it today. It's located in downtown Wendell, which is so cute and cozy. There's plenty of parking surrounding Parallax. When I arrived there were 3 others enjoying the very beautiful coffee shop, but by the time I left it had gotten very busy. It's super pretty inside, very spacious and comfortable. I had 2 cookies, the chocolate chip cookie was ok, and the cinnamon roll cookie was delicious. I had a hot brown sugar latte and it was perfect. The service is good. It's a must if you're in Wendell or looking for a cute place to hang out. They are open til 5pm everyday but Sunday, they close at 2pm. read more

This coffee shop has been on my list to try for months and since it was part of the RDU Coffee Crawl list for April, it was a sign that I just had to go! They just celebrated their second anniversary yesterday so I guess it hasn't been around for long but they have a lot of locals stop by and hang out for a bit. The space is massive, offering plenty of seating and lounging spots, super clean and just a beautiful aesthetic (maybe just need to give their plants some TLC lol) but the coffee was incredible! You can tell the baristas take pride in their craft and it shows with their drinks. I had the brown sugar flat white which was a recommendation from one of the regulars there and it was heavenly. It's a solid 40 minutes away from home but worth the trip! read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shops I've ever been to. The ambiance is great, coffee/matcha great, service great. My husband has always wanted to try the Nitropress and the barista showed him exactly how it worked. I ordered the coconut pandan matcha and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. They also had bagels from benchwarmers and you can't go wrong with those. Will definitely be back! read more

My cortado was bitter, which was disappointing; I'll have to try them again as this could've been related to them rushing on a Saturday. My wife's matcha was great though. Oh my goodness I wish I had some pictures, but I started eating and never stopped. I went to parallax for a cup of coffee and a bagel and. The atmosphere was very nice, quiet clean people enjoying themselves all around and friendly faces behind the counter. The food was good. I had a bagel with pecan cream cheese. So happy to have a wonderful new 3rd Wave (maybe 4th?) coffee lab in town!! The space is beautiful...spacious and comfortable. Modern, without being pretentious...and very well appointed whether you're planning on posting up to work or just stopping in for an afternoon pick-me-up. The cappuccino was delicious. If you're looking for a new modern spot for high quality coffee, this is the place to go. It's not as cozy as I wish, but it's definitely achieving a shwae aesthetic that a lot of people are drawn to. I got a chai latte, and I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and spice. It was not sweet at all and perfectly spicy. Another bonus is that it's not crazy busy all the time and there are lots of couches and quiet spaces to work. LOVE this addition to the quaint downtown scene This is a perfect place to work from, and meet others for coffee. Since I was working in between meetings. I grabbed a muffin. I'm not a coffee drinker but so love teas- this day they were out of tea which was fine since it was hot outside. They also have a space in the back with a long table if you want to meet others. WHAT A EXPERIENCE!! Guys I grew up in the Rocky Mount/Spring Hope area which is right next to Wendell and I can't tell you how excited I was to come here. There interior design for one is EVERYTHING.
