A Delightful Surprise 41 North Coffee Co reminds me of 'The Little Engine that Could'. It's a rather small coffee-house / cafe that serves everything from Premium Coffee Concoctions to Biscuits & Gravy to Paninis & Quiche to Wings & Burgers to Steaks & Lasagna to Affogato with a Biscotti (Gelato with Espresso). I think it has the most diverse and extensive menu in our area, and everything I have tasted so far has been delicious. Inside seating a somewhat limited, so it can get crowded during peak hours. There are a couple of outside tables and the roof-top garden is open when the weather turns nice. Except for Sunday dinner, they are open for every meal every day of the week. The Chicken Salad Croissant was slightly sweet and piled high on a large flakey fresh-baked croissant. The Goat Cheese & Fig Panini came with Mozzarella Cheese, Bacon, fresh Spinach and a Balsamic Glaze pressed in Sourdough Bread. It was exceptional. Our grandson devoured a fluffy Waffle and pronounced it the best he had ever had. We also recommend the Spinach Artichoke Quiche - a generous serving of my favorite egg custard tart loaded with Spinach & Artichoke and gooey Mozzarella & Provolone Cheese. The Bacon, Egg & Gouda Sandwich is another winner. The Apple-wood smoked Bacon, Eggs and Cheese are packed into a toasted English Muffin. For something sweet, try the Oreo Cheesecake - simply delicious. One last thing - the Coffee is also very good. read more

Absolutely amazing and delicious food and very cute and cool decor. Came in Sunday and was served a few times by the incredible Lilly who was so sweet, remembered my name and my client's name at the beginning and end of our visit, wishing us a good day as we left a couple hours later (we had been enjoying their wifi and atmosphere to get some work done.) The coffee was great and there was a huge selection of unique flavor options. Everything was amazing. I couldn't have enjoyed a place more. It will be dangerous as the blueberry and cheese danish and the quiche and the pecan pie bar (OMG the pecan pie bar) were so good that I could come back every day and keep trying new things! They also have an upstairs outdoor rooftop seating, but I didn't get to check that out yet. Next time! Thank you Lilly and 41 North for a great visit and working session space for me and my client! read more

Very cute place! Lots of food and drink options. We ordered quiche, a pressed breakfast sandwich, and coffees. We enjoyed them. Everyone working was very nice. It looks like there is also a rooftop area! We didn't get to see it this time, but plan to go back to see it. read more

The food was good, until I found hair in it. We had just popped in for a quick brunch before heading home. They have a seat yourself service on Sunday, except there were no tables available since they all still had plates/trash on them. Took about 20 minutes until we could order, girl running the cashier was nice and helpful though. Food only took about 15 minutes for my family but about 25 for mine. Family had the Pressed Bagel with ham, egg, and cheese as well as the 3 cheese grilled cheese and I had the bacon, eggs, and side of home fries. Everything was ok, nothing out of this world but then I found a males hair in my food. I wasn't even a quarter into my food so that was extremely wasteful. To top it off, my daughter stood by the counter waiting for someone to help her grab a container for her muffin to-go and the man running that side completely ignored her several times. It wasn't until a young lady walked over that my daughter was able to get her attention for help. For the price we paid it was not even close to worth our time let alone our money. Besides the tables not being busted it was pretty clean, bathrooms were clean, and a cute set up. read more

Found this little spot via a friend. Located on a downtown street in Wendell - parking is tight but the food and service made up for it. What seems like a small coffee shop quickly turns into a full menu experience. They offer the normal items plus more from sandwiches, baked goods, chips, coffee, tea, and more. Clean and well lit - the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was excellent as well. My coffee was a cookie butter iced latte - not overly sweet at all. I accompanied it with a pimento cheese and bacon Panini. Perfect blend of creamy, richness, and savory. The sandwich came it a side of kettle chips and a pickle - all were delicious. Will definitely be back! read more

The food was very good and the servers were very kind. Being a warmer day, the flys inside were distracting.

Found this spot by accident and stopped in to refuel on coffee. The location is in the heart of downtown Wendell The atmosphere is cozy The people were pleasant and welcomed me in The coffee was not what I expected, it was not hot (I ordered a white chocolate mocha and two muffins. I think of I in the area again I will ask for some suggestions on something that at he S my pallet more. They do have some wine options as well. The cinnamon sugar was buttery and the chocolate was like a dessert not to sweet. read more

$10 for a nasty coffee! $1 up charge for low grade milk alternative that doesn't cost more than cow milk, even Starbucks stopped charging for this. There are no prices posted so once I ordered I didn't want to be rude and cancel but I really wish I did. I'm sitting here with a $10 drink wasted it has an awful filmy aftertaste. read more

They were short on help and the food was mediocre. We had to get our own menus and it took about 15 minutes for the waitress to greet us. read more

I love that this place has Christian roots. Staff were very friendly and nice, decorated cute for Valentine's Day made the holiday feel fun! The quiche I got was SO good, pepper and goat cheese (phone didn't eat first lol). Coffee delicious. read more

2.5 So the Rueben had no sauerkraut really in it. The loaded potato soup was gone. The pulled pork sandwich had no bbq sauce with it or slaw so it was very lackluster. Just unseasoned pulled pork in a sandwich. No flavor whatsoever. But they gave a refund for the sandwich and got us a new sandwich. read more

Pretty solid coffee in a Christian inspired atmosphere. Food can be hit or miss as my breakfast sandwich felt a little lackluster and plain, but their paninis were great. Staff was great but seemed a little overwhelmed and understaffed. read more

Great food and coffee. Friendly staff. Clean and cozy spot where you can relax with friends or come and work remotely.

Small eatery with a country town, coffee house type vibe. Two tables for outside eating and ample indoor seating. The menu includes a variety of breakfast, lunch, smoothie, and coffee options... all reasonably priced. Our food order was taken right at the register and took about 20 minutes to come out. Our dishes (grilled cheese and chicken tenders) were ordinary... as if grandma was in the kitchen. read more

This place is really nice BUT... it's the people that make it amazing! I have an allergy and they were BEYOND attentive to it, updating me on how they were cooking it to avoid cross contamination, showing me labels of ingredients! I especially liked that because it showed me their food is all cooked fresh and put together here! read more

Pretty quiet when we went. My friend got an iced almond mocha, I got the sweet cream cold brew. Coffee for me was too sweet, too much cream in it. Loved the coffee flavor I could taste though! My friend got the Oreo cheesecake and enjoyed it. She bought me a piece of artichoke quiche to have later. Will come back to add to the review when I've had a chance to try it. Service was a bit slow even though they weren't too busy but overall, good experience. read more

he barista with the hat, pigtails and red shirt this morning, who didn't have a name tag on gave so much attitude. I specifically said sugar-free white chocolate cause that's what it says on the menu and I am autistic and having anxiety, so I'm trying to say what specifically on the menu as she says to me "so you want white mocha?" and I tell her no sugar-free white chocolate she's says very loudly and with attitude "it's the same thing" and when I say oh OK because I genuinely didn't know the difference she scoffed at me and turned to her coworker and gave her a WTF face while I am looking directly at her, and then just gave attitude for the rest of the transaction. I don't know who they are hiring, but this is definitely a new hire and they need to be trained more on customer service and not making faces while a customer is looking directly at you read more

Come here all the time. It's a nice place but the last 2 times I was there recently, as I was ordering my drink I witnessed who I assume might be someone in charge speaking to the other girls working in a very rude and loud way. It made us all feel uncomfortable as the workers here are usually very friendly but there definitely seems to be some tension with the staff. That being said, the food and coffee are both good. read more

I paid a visit to 41N after church recently. Wow, has this place changed; all for the good! Since my last visit, they have expanded the menu and even added rooftop seating. During my visit, it was pretty crowded and the line to order food was a tad long, but moved with a reasonable pace. I got an ham, egg, and cheddar sandwich on an everything bagel. My mother in law wanted eggs Benedict, but they were out. She opted for the bacon and cheddar quiche instead. We were given a number and waited for our food to arrive. The bagel sandwich I ordered took a bit longer than expected, but the flavors were all there and it was tasty. My mother in law got the wrong quiche, but didn't send it back and thought what she got was good as well. All in all, a great little place that generates consistent business. Longer than expected food delivery' and given the wrong quiche were the only hiccups, but nothing that would keep me from coming back. read more

My family and I came in the restaurant no one speaks or said hello. Also we had set down no one came to our table or asked us do we need an assistance. We sit there for 15 minutes wear any service before we left read more

Cute, comforting cafe in Wendell. Ample parking located out front. While visiting a friend, we decided to meet here for breakfast. The cafe was busy when we arrived, but gradually cleared around 10 am. The menu and display case are full of mouth-watering items. After a difficult decision, I decided on the Belgian waffle with hot tea. The waffle was delicious, sweet, and filling. The tea was good and hot. The tea bag is left in so you can decide when to stop steeping it. Prices and portions are reasonable. Each of the employees we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Overall we had a positive experience here and recommend this cafe to others! read more

I come to this location quite a bit. They've recently added a full food menu, and the choices on their menu seem to have several healthy options. I've tried the salad with goat cheese, the burger, and the quiches. They also offer an assortment of baked goods cookies, sweet breads, and flavored pretzels. You can get just about any coffee drink from the barista's include chai tea's holiday favorite drinks, delicious coffee, and smoothies. The service is always excellent. Very prompt and they keep their facility spotless overall, just a wonderful place. read more

Coffee is always great. This time I tried hibiscus tea, very enjoyable. The cinnamon muffin was good, moist and fresh. I usually always get the coffee cake, you can't go wrong. read more

I love supporting local businesses and this one is a favorite! I don't go as much as I'd like, mostly when my internet is down (country living has it's ups and downs)! However, I haven't had anything that I wasn't a fan of. The pressed bagel sandwiches are great. The salads are good too (although I do wish they would warm up the chicken and not serve it cold). My favorite treat to get is the black/white cookie, but they sell out fast! I always get the americano and it tastes great! And the best part? Their prices are very affordable. The atmosphere is a plus also, I love the old brick look! I highly recommend!! read more

Great selection of coffee and bites. Fast and friendly service. Definitely recommend it.

The coffee and frozen lemonade were great, but we ordered a quesadilla and it was supposed to have pickled jalapeños and different types of cheese, but it was just a simple, single cheese quesadilla with fries, like a kids meal kinda thing, very, very underwhelming. read more

The line was very long on a Sunday morning, we were 4 and still stayed. Honestly i never have complaints but ordered 3 coffees and 4 breakfast options and managed to have MANY things in our order messed up, even the drinks. order was $76 for everything plus a VERY generous tip and waited for 30 min. Sides were something different than what we asked for in 2 plates, had to ask 3 times for the same thing until was given to us, it got embarrassing knowing they were busy. But 3 times? got a plate that was completely different and had a drink missing in the order. I understand they could have been short staff, but made us not want to come back anymore after showing this place to family from out of town and being very disappointed! I've heard from locals that the line sometimes can go passing the door, but if this is the service they offer, i would NOT recommend. read more

We come here for coffee and sweet treats all the time, but they recently expanded their food offerings. Everything was fresh, cooked to order, with little wait time and very tasty. Food was good, Cali was a great server but unfortunately the kitchen staff took one and one half hour to get a ham and cheese croissant, a turkey and provolone croissant and a cup of macaroni and cheese for our grandson on 9/13/25 at lunch. 41 North is a nice gem of a coffee shop located in downtown Wendell. The interior space is fairly large with high top, table and couch seating. My son and I stopped by for an early lunch after a passport renewal appointment in Zebulon earlier. Some of the menu items have been pre prepared and are on display in the refrigerator. I have to say the quiches looked great but, I went with the Goat Cheese, Fig and Bacon Panini. He went with the Rueben. Both came with chips and a pickle. Mine was great and by judging from his empty plate, he enjoyed his as well. I just got a regular coffee (black) and my son went with the iced Mocha Latte (teenagers!). Anyway the coffee here is pretty good. They offer bags of beans (whole & ground) to go as well as coffee cups with the business logo on them for sale. We had a nice experience and you can't go wrong here for you're caffeine fix when visiting Wendell. read more

Took forever to fix my issue with picking up some wrong allergen friendly items - no one ever called to check on me or care. Hannah actually told me to dispute with my credit card company. I stopped by here today for the first time. I've been following this establishment on social media and have been planning to come for awhile and finally made it! The location is right in the heart of downtown and has easy parking right in front. They have a good sized menu with different coffees, espresso, smoothies and specialty beverages. I ordered a small sweet cream cold brew and a bacon cheddar quiche. I think the quiche may have had spinach in it, and it made it even more delicious! They also have muffins, cinnamon rolls, pastries and other bakery items. Their menu showed lunch options as well so I will need to come back for that. Pricing was standard compared to any small locally owned coffee shop. They had some high and low top tables giving it a little bit of a starbucks feel. I highly advise anyone to come check this place out. Let's support our local businesses especially now! read more

EDIT AT BOTTOM Great coffee, great atmosphere, but 3-stars... I frequent 41 North so I won't say it isn't a great coffee shop, but the past 3-4 times I've gone, I've gotten a vanilla latte and it's tasted like pure milk. This past time I asked why to the barista and the answer I got was a bit surprising... If you order a large latte, they will only add one shot of espresso. If you get a small latte, PERFECT latte (because proportions are correct)! But if you order a large, they'll drown your latte in milk to fill the large or medium cup to compensate for less espresso/syrup.. they asked if I wanted to add a shot of espresso, but that would be an upcharge price on top of your already more than $6 latte.... As I said, great coffee shop, but a little questionable barista practice I ran in to... EDIT: The owner has reached out and it seems there were some miscommunications made to some members of staff. Edited to a 5 star review read more
