The service is great. The staff here are warm and welcoming. I'm going to assume all the seafood here is farm raised since there wasn't any details on the menu and the server couldn't say yes or no. He said, it's whatever is available local, whatever that means. I really enjoyed the pineapple press martini. I also enjoyed the Mediterranean bowl, although it was in a plate, I added shrimp and that was a nice addition. Overall, great experience and food. I look forward to returning in the future.

This is a relaxing place for our little group to meet for catch up every couple of months. The servers are great and the food has been delicious. The only thing that seemed off tonight was the queso served with the giant Bavarian pretzel. We had: Fried pickle spears Bavarian pretzel Sirloin with mashed potatoes Chicken Caesar salad Salmon Caesar salad It was another great night. See you in three months!!

Big Menu, Bold Flavors Parkside is yet another excellent wendell Falls Parkway dining option. While the decor is rather austere, the service and food are first-rate. There is ample outdoor dining and a full-service bar with a good selection of draft beers. I particularly like the diverse menu and surprising variations on many tried and true classics. The Deviled Eggs starter is kicked up a notch with the addition of Jalapeño and Bacon. I really like the Chicken & Waffle Sandwich. The slightly crunchy Belgian Waffle is wrapped around a crispy fried Chicken Breast and topped with Hot Chipotle Honey - yum! If you are looking for a plate full of pure comfort food, try Mom's Meatloaf. The substantial portion of this old-fashioned favorite brought back fond memories of mom's kitchen. For something a little out of the ordinary, try that Canadian favorite (with a twist) Short Rib Poutine. The French Fries are smothered in a Hot Jalapeño Gravy, Garlicky Cheese Curds, Green Onions and chunks of Fork-Tender Boneless Short Ribs - so delicious. For something more basic, there's a very good Grilled Chicken Sandwich on a Brioche Bun. The fresh House Salad with Lettuce, shredded Cabbage and Carrots, Cucumber and Cherry Tomatoes is a perfect accompaniment for this hearty winner. There were a couple of items that missed the mark - at least with us. The Veggie Wrap with Coleslaw was bland and uninteresting and the slaw was not to our liking. We also did not care for the Tomato Bisque.

Bone Bone-In Pork Chop, mashed potatoes and grilled green beans. DELICIOUS!

My friends who live in the area had taken me earlier in the week here and the grilled chicken sandwich with tasty, hot crunchy tater tots. I had seen the pork chop on the menu then and decided to return. The hostess seated me quickly at a window seat and I saw a beautiful sunset. My server was gracious, telling me why there was a delay, Uber Eats orders had come in. Soon after that my food arrived. The pork chop was cooked perfectly, moist and well seasoned. The green beans were a little crunchy at the spot between well done and underdone, perfect. The mash potatoes could have been thicker, and tasted good. Lots of families on the green outside the restaurant this Saturday, so seating inside wasn't a problem. I'll be back when I visit again.

I visited the Parkside Restaurant in Wendell with my wife and another couple on a recent Friday night. Our friends got there before us and were already seated. We walked in and were greeted warmly and directed to our seated friends. We ordered drinks which consisted of Michelin Ultras and an Apple Cider Margarita and Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita. The Margaritas were delicious and so were the apps! Our entrees consisted of a French Dip, a burger, a salad, and a top sirloin steak. The steak was cooked to order; a beautiful medium rare. My wife is dairy and egg intolerant and her salad came out with hard boiled eggs. They promptly took the salad back and quickly came back with her replacement salad, which was perfect. All in all, our experience at Parkside was very positive. The food was excellent and the service was very good. They handled the one issue like true professionals. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. Great job!

Most of the ladies had good food reviews. Our waitress had her hands full. There were over 20 ladies. My food was slow coming out and didn't have the chutney. The location and atmosphere was bright and open. Look forward to going back.

Came here after church one day since we normally go to the location in Raleigh. It was a great experience we were quickly sat and ordered. The food came out relatively quick and was good! Would definitely come back.

I was passing through and decided to check this location of Parkside out. Ordered the steak salad, and it was so good! For the amount of food I thought the price was decent. The restaurant is super clean. The only slightly negative is the service here could definitely be improved. They aren't very attentive.

I was looking forward to my brunch at Parkside in Wendell as the Raleigh location is great. The building is new and parking is easier at Wendell Falls than Raleigh. I was tempted to go with the short rib benedict again but thought I should try something new and went with the prime rib scramble bowl as I liked the combination of eggs; prime rib; tater tots; and cheddar cheese. I did request no onions but this dish had onions. Maybe it couldn't be done without but I could have been informed. My first bite was of luke warm mushrooms. It seemed that part of the dish was hot but the rest wasn't. I'm not sure if it sat out too long before being delivered or if it just wasn't cooked long enough. The others I was with didn't finish their meals either. The restaurant was pretty empty while we were there so I am not sure if others already decided that this restaurant is lacking. I do not see myself making a return trip here.

Brand new. Come try. Really great bar. Great menu. Lots of TVs. Getting the nachos today. . Great staff

I don't know the ratings are not that good here. The food was great, the staff service was prompt, and ambiance is very comfortable looking. The only issue that I had was the price of food. Most of the food including appetizers were over $10. I would've come here to have some beer and appetizers if it was a bit more affordable

We were sat in the back of the restaurant and felt tucked away, but this didn't hinder service in the slightest. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. He knew the menu and had a confident answer to every question. Before being sat at our table, we grabbed a drink at the bar and asked the bartender about the menu. There was a woman who took special time to explain what the menu items were and how they differed from your usual "chicken or beef etc". Which was not only informative, but interesting too. Onto the star of the show, the meal. We ordered the bison & farro and the poulet rouge carbonara. Both of these dishes were phenomenal. I've never had a culinary experience even close to this one. These are meals you think about for the rest of your life. The textures and flavors together resulted in an exquisite explosion of harmony. The kitchen staff put their heart and soul into these dishes and it is obvious! I cannot wait for my next visit.

Anyway, Was shown to my table, a male server showed up, lit the candle, and I didn't see anyone for 18 minutes while two tables around me were greeted, cleared the table of extra dishes not needed and was served water, and their plates for the dinner buffet. The server that lit the candle, came back, asked if my server showed up. Uh, no. Finally, a woman server came by, went to the other table. Can't make this up. Then she realized they were being taken care of. She finally made it to me. I informed her I was dining alone, she cleared extra dishes, asked if I needed salt or pepper. Interesting question considering I didn't have any food. She filled my water glass, then brought my plate, as it was a dinner buffet night. Their first dinner buffet. No excuse for the poor service, though. Make me feel important, valued whether dining alone or with a group, please. The buffet had a great variety of proteins and sides. A couple of beef strip choices, shredded chicken, crisp tortillas to build your own nachos for the kids, fried catfish, fried chicken patty, salmon, swordfish, all cut into small portions. Proteins were the perfect size to try everything without filling up. A carving station consisted of sirloin, pork loin, sausage and baked salmon. The seasoning on every protein at the buffet and carving station was different. Excellent. Sides included mac and cheese, roasted potatoes, a squash medley, Brussels Sprouts, and mashed potatoes. A nice spread for a salad included mixed greens, large leaves of them. All the veggie toppings, two kinds of shredded cheeses, house made croutons, four dressings and fresh fruit that blew me away. Every bite of the fruit was ripe, sweet. Not the hard, no flavor offerings at some establishments/groceries this time of year. The gumbo had large pieces of shrimp, crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and smaller pieces of mussels, mini shrimp, etc. The breads selection was biscuits, baguette and others. All fresh, soft and crunchy. Great to dip into the gumbo broth. Dessert offerings included brownies and cookies. I opted to enjoy a brownie along with the fresh berries/fruit. They also offer a Sunday brunch buffet. The other nights they have a full menu. Be aware, they automatically add in a "brunch gratuity" of 20% to the bill. Overall, I would visit again.

Becky (on our receipt at Rebecca) provided us with genuine Southern hospitality during our entire dining experience. She was efficient and friendly with many great suggestions regarding food items. I enjoyed the grilled shrimp along with a loaded baked potato and delicious Caesar Salad. The dressing on the salad had fantastic flavor, and it was not drenched in the dressing as some places tend to do. My husband enjoyed the blackened redfish dish which featured shrimp, lump crab meat, tomatoes, green onions, lemon butter, and red pepper flakes. He exclaimed over the fabulous flavors. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious and airy yeast rolls (at least I believe they are yeast rolls) that were accompanied by a decadent and addicting honey, cinnamon butter. Becky brought 4 of them for the 2 of us, and I wish she had not because I could not resist having part of a 2nd roll. I let him know the food was great, home cooked and good portions. The one thing that ruined the evening was the RUDE waitress, he walked up to the table and before he could sit down she bought my drink out, she asked what will you have to drink, he's looking confused and responds still standing, well what do you have? She rambles all the options so fast I'm not sure he understood all but made a choice. Then he sat down. She came back and slid it on the table like a fly by.. Soon she bought a hush puppy basket they were cold, I dare not complain she was so nasty and distant. Next she came back, order book open and I was like it's his 1st time, she didn't say anything, she just looked out the window and waited, so we just knew we needed to order, so I named my meat before I could finish SIDES??then he simply asks did they have bone in chicken ( I didn't know he was going to ask or I would have told him beforehand) she says no we have , fried chicken breast tenders, sisco chicken etc, she named every chicken dish on the menu without taking a breath.. I can give her props for knowing that..we both were looking at her confused and she never looked at us it was always "looking out the window " He said just give me "Flounder " one piece or two??? He replies one, SIDES??? Like we needed to be on point. She took the menus and left. She asked the questions she needed but was mean, not engaging and just rude. The WAY she asked.. When our food came this waitress walked by and literally slid our food on the table in a way that was like HERE! And kept walking I don't even think she stopped when she put them on the table she may have slowed down. We had to reach towards the end of the table to slide our plates in front of us. We both looking at each other in agreement she just nasty! The next time she came back she walked by and sat down a half glass of refill for his drink, she hadn't asked she just did it, suppose he wanted a glass of water? When we put our forks down she came over to get his plate and bought me a to go box as I still had half my food on my plate and she left the ticket. She didn't say is there anything I can get you or anything the entire time. He put his pymt with the ticket and put it on the edge of the table, I hadn't been in a while so I forgot we would pay on the way out. She was cleaning the floor near us and slid our ticket/pymt farther on our table, as if it was in her way, again he's confused so he said this is ready and she let him know to pay up front. I have never experienced such a nasty waitress at this restaurant and because of this I probably will never go back. I don't like not feeling comfortable and welcomed in a place where my money and time is going into. I started to complain before I left but in reality I don't think it would have mattered, and we left a tip not as much as we would have if she was more pleasant. I don't know whether she was having a bad day, a long day or to take it personal but I can't deal with attitude like that and won't take a chance on it again. This man drove a hour to experience this was just unbelievable!!!!

While the staff were very nice, there was only one person running around managing all the tables, and my salmon salad was terrible - I specifically asked how the jalapeños were cut, so I could take them out if they were too hot - and was reassured that they were cut in coins/slices and would be easy to remove. When the salad came, they were diced super tiny and super spicy - and really difficult to remove. Also, a good part of my salad was avocado, and it was so unripe that it was crunchy! When I mentioned these concerns to the staff, the lady apologized about the jalapeños and said her niece works in the kitchen and had told her that she's been throwing away the soft avocados because that means they're not good anymore. Who has kitchen staff (especially family members) that don't even know what a ripe avocado looks and feels like?!?
